Seemyshell (00:01.644)
Welcome to the official Munzee Podcast.
Rob (00:04.342)
I'm Rob, also known as Coach V, your host and the president of Munzee.
Seemyshell (00:08.273)
And I'm Craig, also known as Seemyshell. I'm an avid Munzee player and I'm here to explore the game further.
Rob (00:13.474)
Each week we'll delve into Munzee's mysteries, divulge some secrets, and inform players from around the world just what is coming your way.
Seemyshell (00:20.408)
So sit back and relax as today's episode, everything happens big in Texas, Rob. And that was the very, very truth over the last week and a big, big weekend in Texas. And guess what, Rob? Not much is happening with Munzee at the moment, which is not a bad thing. So we're to chat a lot about events, not just Texas, but events in general. What do think about that?
Rob (00:40.731)
Well, it sounds like if mostly we're going to talk about Texas and the events, you're going to do a lot of talking and I'm going to do a lot of listening. But that sounds great.
Seemyshell (00:45.538)
Yeah. Yeah. Well, Rob, you weren't there. You were not in Texas last weekend. So you had some FOMO and I understood that because I was sending you photos and videos and posting a lot on the water cool as well for everyone else to try and enjoy it as well, Rob. So there you go. But before we start about last weekend, I'll have to say this.
Rob (00:54.564)
True.
Rob (00:58.138)
Yeah. Yes.
Rob (01:06.478)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (01:11.858)
I before I actually, I obviously drove into Texas cause I'm on a road trip itself at the moment. and I went to a place, a very special place called McKinney. Tell us Rob, tell, yeah, tell the people out there firstly, before I go any further, Rob, what's so special about McKinney?
Rob (01:22.384)
I know McKinney.
Rob (01:29.626)
The fact that I moved there in 1992. no, it's not just that. MHQ Munzee headquarters. We, we set up Munzee headquarters in McKinney back in 2013, I believe was when we moved into our first office, just off the square in a beautiful, historic downtown McKinney. And, what a lovely place it was. I don't know if, did you make it to downtown McKinney?
Seemyshell (01:33.26)
Very good.
Mm
Seemyshell (01:44.962)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (01:58.464)
I drove through downtown because I will say this, and this is going to be out there. If people, if you want a massive Munzee weekend and you don't have an event to go to or whatever else, and you're going to sort of maybe around McKinney, Texas, it's going to be a huge Munzee weekend for you sitting there. Rob, I had, I didn't even touch. I haven't even scraped the surface yet. I blasted a few times after I got RSI, my fingers from this, you know, hand capping and
Rob (01:59.819)
Okay.
Rob (02:26.202)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (02:27.422)
And, and yeah, but the main reason why I was there, Rob, is because remember last week, said, the week before the, the special hammock that you haven't kept yet. Yeah. Well, well, the special Rob and the special flat mat is in McKinney right next to each other at the headquarters there. So the older, the old headquarters. So I, I managed to cut those two as well. So there you go. Yeah. Yeah. Of course you do. Of course you do.
Rob (02:36.952)
Yeah, yeah. Mm -hmm. Right.
Rob (02:45.561)
Yeah.
Rob (02:50.468)
I'm so jealous. Yeah. I mean, I have those two, but you know, yeah.
Seemyshell (02:55.98)
But don't worry, Rob, next month I'll have my flat Loo in London as well. So I'll make sure of that. So just saying, just saying. There you go. Jealousy's a curse. But while I was there, I got out in the car park itself around the old headquarters and I did cap a few of your physicals that are still around. Yeah, there's one there from Loo and there's you and everyone else as well.
Rob (03:01.73)
Yeah, so I hear you. Yeah.
Rob (03:14.818)
Yeah, well.
I mean, the thing is about all of those stickers, they are deployed from, you know, our the stickers that we sell in the online store. So that is that vinyl that when we bought it, the place where we, you know, the the original deal that I struck with those guys, they said, you know, they wrap cars, that's what the deal is. And so the cars are, you know, that's out in the sun all the time. So
Seemyshell (03:28.6)
Mm -hmm.
Rob (03:47.258)
The fact that they could have a car wrapped and it would last two, three, four years, the way that they did our stickers is they actually laid a layer of clear laminate on top of it. So it's like a two layer sticker. And so they basically guaranteed that they would last five to seven years. And really what you can see is they're lasting more like 10 to 12 years. Definitely. There are some, some that crisp up in the Texas sun big time, but
Seemyshell (04:07.572)
Yeah.
Yeah
Seemyshell (04:14.145)
Yes. Yeah.
Rob (04:16.57)
so many of them as long as they are not put in direct sunlight. And this is true across the world. They have lasted 10 plus years at this point in time, which is pretty cool.
Seemyshell (04:22.049)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (04:27.532)
That is really cool. And, and following on after, after the Texas events, Rob, I did stop at a rest stop and I kept one of your OG's original like motels too at the rest stop. And it's a big sticker, but as you're, you're right though, it's behind the sign and out from the direct sunlight and it is still there and still as clear as day. So yeah, they're good. Get your stickers people from, you, if you can't print them out yourself and you want high quality stickers, get them from the store. That's all I'll say, but yeah, there you go. There you go.
Rob (04:37.814)
yeah.
Rob (04:45.902)
Yeah. Yeah.
Seemyshell (04:57.332)
I did, Rob, Rob, Rob. I did however notice there was one little funny one that I'll say that I haven't spoken to you about yet. I spoke it about Dylan. I'd spoke to Dylan on the weekend and he said, yeah, that's just Robbie. There was a sticker I couldn't find because it was in the middle of the parking lot. There was a red car there and it's from Robbie. And it said, this stick is not here. It's just a test. So that one's still there.
Rob (04:59.225)
Yeah.
Rob (05:14.266)
Okay.
Rob (05:20.602)
No way really that's funny. I might need to know which one that is an archive it because Yeah, the anything that's a test especially McKinney shouldn't still be there. Yeah
Seemyshell (05:26.51)
Yes, yep. Yeah, exactly. I thought it was funny. I thought it was very humorous, Rob. I didn't really look for it because I saw it in the middle. I'm looking around just, you know, with my head and I didn't see any lampposts anywhere. Didn't see any poles, didn't see any signs. And then I read it and it said, this sticker is not here. This is just a test. I went, that's Robbie. So there you go. So.
Rob (05:37.063)
Ha
Rob (05:50.266)
Yeah, oops forgot to clear that
Seemyshell (05:54.37)
But there was a red car parked in that spot too. And doesn't Robbie drive a red car? Red car Robbie?
Rob (05:57.28)
well, he he he is to red car Robbie and red car Robbie actually originates because he worked on the red car the red trolley in Disneyland California Adventure. He was one of the opening operators on that ride. So he came up with the name red car. Robbie Yeah.
Seemyshell (06:01.901)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (06:12.92)
home.
Seemyshell (06:19.96)
There you go. look at this history that people are learning from this podcast, I know, right? I know. But before we move on to the weekend that was, et cetera, I will say I am right now, we record on a Wednesday. This is the weekend after I have left Fort Worth. I am in the East, the East Texas at the moment in a beautiful, abandoned campground, Rob. There's nothing here except for long grass and a big river like lake and crows. That's it. So it's a little bit spooky, but
Rob (06:22.254)
Good times!
Seemyshell (06:48.46)
Hey, I love it, no people. But I left, I left Fort Worth, Rob, and I forgot something. I forgot to cap a golden ticket that's located in Fort Worth. That's the second time I've forgotten this golden ticket in Fort Worth. People, if you don't know what we're talking about, these are golden tickets that were handed out how many years ago, Rob, now you're thinking eight years ago?
Rob (06:59.642)
Hahaha.
Rob (07:10.147)
yeah, it's been a while. Five, six, seven, yeah, eight, yeah.
Seemyshell (07:13.526)
Yeah. And basically correct me if I'm wrong, Rob, that you guys had like a, what a competition of sorts, very much like the golden ticket from Willy Wonka and yeah.
Rob (07:23.962)
It was it was really simple. It was by this specific package of stickers and we are putting there was supposed to be 10 golden tickets in various envelopes to be sent out across the world because it was so popular. We ended up doing 20 so we sold them in two batches. But yeah, it was just you know, are you lucky enough after buying this specific sweet treats package? I believe we called it.
Seemyshell (07:33.281)
Mm
Seemyshell (07:40.59)
Mm
Seemyshell (07:50.444)
Mm -hmm.
Rob (07:51.322)
to win a golden ticket. Yeah, so they are special and I think there's 20 of them around the
Seemyshell (07:53.677)
Yeah.
Yeah. And they are around the world. There's even one in Australia as well. One in the UK too. So, but yeah. And then a few in tech, a few in the US, but yeah, I missed out again, Rob. I was, I drove like an hour and a half out and Rebecca Denali, 0407 messaged me and did you get the golden ticket this time? I went, no. Rob, I almost turned around. I was an hour and a half out. I almost turned around. went, no, I'm not going to turn around for the golden ticket.
Rob (07:59.194)
Mm -hmm. Yeah.
Rob (08:08.633)
Yeah.
Rob (08:17.858)
Yeah.
Rob (08:23.78)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (08:24.79)
I'll be back one day, I'll be back. But anyway, what's been happening with you Rob last weekend apart from you getting FOMO? Anything new, anything happening with you?
Rob (08:32.762)
Other than missing out on all of that event fun, I have been in a new land. It's a land that I am calling New Player Outreach. And if we have time at the end of this episode, then maybe I'll ask you a couple of questions about New Player Outreach, because what I really want to get to is I want to get to the idea of
Seemyshell (08:36.055)
You
Seemyshell (08:42.552)
Mm
Rob (08:54.872)
What do players out there do for new player outreach? Like if you see new players, like what do you do? Because I would like to, I'd like to form a team. I'd like to, have, some new ideas because I'm testing a bunch of stuff. I have the ability to see every new player, from yesterday. I can message all of those players. I'm kind of failing on getting responses. Like the one thing that's working right now.
Seemyshell (09:01.169)
Mm
Seemyshell (09:04.813)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (09:09.09)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (09:18.121)
Rob (09:24.698)
Would you like 200 free zeds? Just respond to this message. And then they do. And I'll give them 200 free zeds. And then I'll give them my sales pitch of, join us on Discord. Here's a Facebook group for newbies. Do you have questions? Would you like to play? And I fire hose them at that point in time. But I'm luring them in. It's about a 10 % success rate.
Seemyshell (09:28.558)
was that? Yeah. Yeah.
Seemyshell (09:42.819)
Yep.
I wondered where that came from, Rob. And the reason why I say that is because I saw, here you go, on Instagram stories from the Queens purse. She screen capped your message and she's like, hell yeah, I want 200 Zed. there's one of them and I liked it. So that's pretty cool. So the Queens purse, again, if you're on Instagram and you're a Munzey player, follow the Queens purse as well if you don't already.
Rob (09:55.245)
Yeah!
Rob (10:01.242)
Did she? That's great. Yeah.
Seemyshell (10:12.098)
They post a lot about Munzee and other geolocation based games. Anyway, Rob, that's pretty cool. We'll get to that. Meanwhile, the events of the weekend that was in USA, we had Massachusetts, Missouri, Indiana, and of course those foreign good old Texas with Munzee mischief and around the world.
Rob (10:18.04)
Yeah.
Rob (10:28.578)
Yee -haw! And around the world, Finland, Australia had three won in Victoria, one in New South Wales, and one in ACT.
Seemyshell (10:36.462)
I'm so proud of my Australia, Rob, I will say. Their heritage will not leave my heart. I'll give you that hot tip right there. Meanwhile, the leaderboards over the weekend. Now, remember people, this is only double points on cards and greenies only. No other double points, no flats, no evolutions, nothing at all. That's all it was. And we had millionaires, Rob, all over the weekend. On Friday, we had VadoTech with 1 .6 million points, Tofu Girl with 1 .5, Jaffa43 1 .5, and of course, ha
Rob (10:39.388)
Loving it.
Seemyshell (11:06.318)
myself, Rob. got 1 .1 million as well. So that's pretty cool. I know I got fourth, but I was happy with fourth. I don't mind the leaderboard, but yeah, 1 .1 for me on the Friday on Saturday, Rob, had
Rob (11:07.93)
Look at you. Nice one.
Rob (11:20.026)
Impressive, Colecracker7, 2 million, MarleyFanCT, 1 .7 million, Danielle41101, 1 .6 million, TheLanes1 .5 million, EagleDad and Nixenia1 .5 million, TexanWay, yes, 1 .4 million, DenaliO407, 1 .2 million, SchmitzFam4, 1 .2 million, MissYB1 .1 million, MinnesotaBoy1 million, PikesPice1 million.
That's why you gave me that one. I get it. That was a lot.
Seemyshell (11:51.896)
Why? Yes, and a big shout out to Minnesota boy, Minnesota boy, Minnesota boy. Rob, he said to me over the weekend, he said, I haven't heard my name over the last couple of episodes. And I said to him, get some videos out there and I'll mention them. So there you go. So a new video will be coming out from him as well, as well as W Helen as well with the Munzee Events, his YouTube channel is. So Munzee Events, he's got a video popping up as well. So.
Rob (11:59.492)
That's right.
Rob (12:08.57)
That's right.
Rob (12:16.526)
Okay.
Seemyshell (12:21.166)
Meanwhile, on Sunday we had Maxwell Q with 1 .3 million points, Schmitz Fan 4 with 703 ,000 points. And then in third was Cole Cracker 7 with 651 ,000 points. Those people, if you're listening and you're not in the US, you don't know who these people are, that's fine. Just to let you know, Cole Cracker 7, she's a lovely lady, shortish on the short side, and she drives...
Rob (12:46.895)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (12:48.59)
a big Ford F -150 truck. As she opens the door, the little stepladder pops down the side skirts, step down, they're they're automated. They come down from the side so she can climb up into it, into this big, huge, I'm telling you, Rob, I love, Cold Cracker 7. I think she's a great woman. and yeah, she gets around in this truck. I tell you, there's no messing with her on the road. So there you go, people. If you see this big truck coming towards the Munzee event, be sure it's Cold Cracker 7.
Rob (12:52.163)
huge.
Rob (13:07.876)
You
Seemyshell (13:18.398)
All right, Rob, events this weekend though. This weekend, we've only got USA. We've got Missouri, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Illinois. That's it. That's all we have. Nothing else around the world. there you go. Large events coming up, January 16th and 19th with Florida. There was Munzey Mecca, five events there. Munzey Quest and Block Party, January 25th to 26th in Sydney, Australia. Munzey Madness, California, March 8th and 9th.
Rob (13:19.802)
You
Rob (13:29.657)
Interesting.
Seemyshell (13:46.106)
May 3rd, Munzee in Uranus, that's in Missouri, I should say. And then May 24th, Munstock itself, and June 7th and 8th, Ohio hosting their SOS events. So they're the big events coming up. Rob, there was something on the water cooler during the week, people asking, how do I know they're big events? Then number one, just go to the calendar. Or number two, listen to us. But if you haven't got a big event, people reach out to me if I haven't already seen it. So there you go.
Rob (14:08.13)
Yeah, that's it.
Seemyshell (14:15.19)
All right, Rob, let's get into the ducks guts of this, the meat and bones. We're all about events and Munzey mischief. I had a great time over the weekend. You got any questions for me, mate?
Rob (14:19.726)
Yes.
Rob (14:23.31)
Alright.
so, so many questions. you know, I mean, those are my people. So the, you know, that that's where all of our original big image Q bash and all of those big events and they were during this time period every year. so it's really good to see that the Texans have kind of, brought this back. And so the one thing that I would want to make sure of is that they treated you properly while you were in Texas.
Seemyshell (14:29.346)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (14:33.677)
Yeah.
Rob (14:55.428)
friendly. Everything was good. had some barbecue, possibly some good beers. These are the important things for me to know. And then you can talk about Munzee as well. Everything was good.
Seemyshell (15:01.324)
You
Seemyshell (15:06.274)
Well, everything was spot on perfect. And it was hosted by Denali0407, also by Knots Muns and ready for this Rob, it's Brandy Courty. She come up to me, she said, Craig, you said my name wrong in the podcast. I went, it's not Brandy Court, it's Brandy Courty with an E. You pronounce the E on the end. So there you go. Even though, even though she doesn't listen to this podcast because she doesn't listen to podcasts in general, someone told her about it. So there you go. Brandy Courty.
Rob (15:27.515)
Hmm.
Rob (15:34.148)
Well then it's Brandy Court. Brandy Court it is. If she doesn't listen then she can't be telling us anything.
Seemyshell (15:36.066)
Yeah, until she listens to the podcast. Exactly. Now we had a absolutely fabulous time on the Friday. was a, it was an event at the local, one of the local barbecue places, Heim Barbecue. And I'm telling you, Rob, I had the sample platter. This is my, so this is my second barbecue. Cause I came in on Thursday by myself and I had some barbecue, Texas barbecue first for lunch.
and I think heart eight, it's called heart eight pit masters barbecue. Yeah. Yeah. Had some there. Wasn't too bad. Wasn't too bad. The brisket was a little dry, but that's okay. I'm a fatty pearl. I love a fatty, fatty brisket meat. love that part, but, that's why.
Rob (16:05.853)
yeah, really good.
Rob (16:12.196)
Mm.
Rob (16:16.28)
Yeah, it's a chain. That's a chain as well. So you're looking at something that that, you know, might not be the the number one chef has prepared this. So that's there is a difference sometimes if you go to mass chains versus versus individual or one or two. Yeah.
Seemyshell (16:24.908)
Very true. Very true.
Seemyshell (16:30.982)
Mm -hmm. Yes. Yeah, so we went to Heim Barbecue. I had the sample platter and Rob, I'd never had, I've had burnt ends before, but not pork burnt ends. I've had the brisket burnt ends, but there was pork burnt ends and Rob, I'm telling you now, I could have had a dozen of those things or more. Like it was just unbelievably delicious. Like it was so, I don't know what rub they use and sauces and whatever else as well.
Rob (16:40.569)
Seemyshell (16:59.02)
You know, it's unbelievably delicious. But anyway.
Rob (17:01.556)
You've got me drooling over here for sure, because saying burnt in is like, man, I love this.
Seemyshell (17:04.318)
I'm telling you, I'm telling you. that's, yeah, it was absolutely delicious. The beer was good, the beer was cold as well. But not just that, but the actual location, now this is going towards Munsey and again from Denali and the team, they had that location there because you did the little walk around the parking lot for the event flags. And then Rob, you could walk a river walk up and back on the other side of the river, like this beautiful, it was right next to a river.
And so you walk up and back for the actual, all the rest of the pins. So we got all of the pins, all 50 pins were in. So I managed to walk after dinner, walk off my dinner with, I was with Minnesota boy, Minnesota boy, Minnesota boy. I was also with W. Helen himself and the great Dale and Barb were there and they did the walk with us as well. So that's cool from Space Coast Geostore. So we had some good chats. Dale's got himself a new, a new lens on his camera.
Rob (17:43.886)
Yeah.
Rob (17:52.728)
Hey!
Rob (17:56.814)
Very cool.
Seemyshell (18:01.662)
And it's a big lens, I tell ya. You know what they say about men with big lenses. So yes, he can take good photos. Anyway, so yeah, that was the first event. Then the next two events were on the Saturday. And on the Saturday in the morning event was the main event itself, at Trinity Park. Now, again, Rob, this Trinity Park place, it's like the, what do you call it? Like the New York, the Central Park, New York of Fort Worth. Yeah, it was.
Rob (18:28.004)
Yeah, Central Park, yeah. Of Fort Worth, definitely.
Seemyshell (18:30.67)
It's a beautiful park, yeah. They even had like this little miniature train going back and forth, doot doot, doot doot, going back and forth as well through the park. It was so cute, it was so cute. I loved it, I loved it. And again, big park that we got the 50 event pins in, but then an extra, I think it was an extra 20 pins with those little green muffin things, they're there the moment. Events at the moment got those green muffin things going on. The Halloween stuff, so.
Rob (18:57.92)
right. Cupcakes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Seemyshell (19:00.6)
Cupcakes, that's it, cupcakes, I should know. I'm thinking muffins, because I've got a muffin top, but anyway. So yeah, they had those pins as well. So was a huge, huge park for that. And then the evening event on Saturday was at a brewery, the best place to keep people around. And of course, you can't forget either that on the Saturday, from the main event, going through to the brewery, who turned up?
Dylan, the flat DHS, the Dylan turned up along with Wiley, flat Murray, she was there as well. And then who's that? Who's that with the big huge beard? that's flat Matt. So yeah, the three of them turned up as well, spent the entire day with us Rob as well. So a big shout out to those three as a team as well. mean, especially the two Wiley and Dylan, Dylan, do a great job still with Munzey headquarters.
Rob (19:33.166)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (19:57.624)
Flatmat isn't with HQ anymore, I do believe.
Rob (20:00.602)
Right. Yeah, Matt moved on a couple of years ago, supported, you know, everything that he needed to do to to expand. He started with us when he was like 20. He was an intern. He was, you know, he grew through the company and he was ready to ready to fly. So he did. And I'm just thankful this is two years in a row that he has come back, even though he's not, you know, part of the team. He's very much part of the family. So
Seemyshell (20:03.33)
Mm -hmm.
Seemyshell (20:07.139)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (20:14.114)
Mm
Seemyshell (20:28.93)
Yes, yes. Perfect. Rob, pause for a second. I've got a hailstorm and I've got to warm my windows up.
Rob (20:29.672)
He's always welcome. Hammock too, if Hammock's out there and never wants to come back to events. Yeah.
Rob (20:40.655)
Cool.
Rob (20:57.722)
That explains what happened to the signal, because I lost you for 20 seconds. And I was like, well, he'll be back in a minute, I guess. That storm must have rolled in over the top. Yeah, wow.
Seemyshell (21:01.152)
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
yeah, you can see it, look, Behind me. Yeah, in the rain. I don't know. No, I don't think it's hail, it's just really heavy rain. Which is welcome, because it's fricking hot here. Anyway, let's get back into it. Yeah, Rob, they did a great job turning up like that. And yeah, absolutely, Hammock, I'd love to meet Hammock one day as well. Just saying, if he's listening, he probably won't be, but still, that's okay. So yeah, the brewery event.
Rob (21:13.102)
Yeah, that's nuts. It's hail. You can't hear hail. okay. good. Yeah.
Yeah.
Rob (21:31.918)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (21:38.463)
Rob, brewery events, beer, it always keeps people sort of hanging in there, so to speak. I know yourself it would.
Rob (21:44.206)
Yeah. Sticking around, man. Why would you want to leave? Yeah.
Seemyshell (21:47.662)
Yeah, exactly, exactly. So there you go. And then the Sunday was a Somba goodbye event, but again, a separate park. was a really nice park. And again, a beautiful walk around a huge lake in this park as well. Another 50 event pins as well, by the way. People, okay, this is gonna be, this was gonna be my tip of the week, but I'm gonna leave that now. I'm gonna do it now. If you can't get to an event, you've got to get these cake pins. I'm not sure, Robert, can you hear that?
and my car's raining so hard at the moment. I'm not sure if you can hear or not, but that's okay. Listen to that. and it's windy too. The wind's picked up and all. So there you go. This is live podcast people. I'm not gonna edit this part out. So there you go. But yeah, if you can't get to an event people to get these cake credits, these cake credits are the only way in which you can get some items like the balloon animals for instance as well, which are huge for point scoring. So.
Rob (22:19.716)
Just barely, yeah.
Yeah.
Seemyshell (22:46.574)
If you can't get to an event, that's okay. Create your own. If you've never done an event before, again, that's okay. You can still create your own and go from there.
Rob (23:39.643)
wow. So he's completely gone. Still recording on my end.
and he's coming back.
Rob (26:40.956)
Thank
Rob (29:07.668)
you can do about megastorms rolling in just messaging Daniel Fleeger now because Josh has connected us so that we can chat see what sort of insane things we can come up with just a boom who knows what the two of us meeting could do
Seemyshell (35:39.916)
Here we go.
Rob (35:42.362)
Well, look who's back.
Seemyshell (35:45.026)
That was we're still recording so this is good. It's not gonna stop so So far so good recording recording recording. Yes
I'm sorry about that interruption, mate. How do we know? Like there's actually a storm going over as we speak. And yeah, it kind of knocked out my little Starlink satellite. see what happens to the best of us, Rob, not just in the Munzee or geocaching world. That happens to everyone.
Rob (36:13.442)
Yeah it does. Satellites, storms, watch out.
Seemyshell (36:14.585)
Yep. Exactly. Exactly. Where was I? I was talking about, because it's been a little while breaking up. What was I talking about Rob? that's right. That's right. Get the cape. Yeah, because you cannot, you can't buy some of that stuff that you can redeem for Rob. You can't buy the balloon dragon that will give you, ready for this, 50 caps people.
Rob (36:24.772)
Get the cake, go to the events, get the cake. And then you can redeem for really great stuff.
Seemyshell (36:41.593)
And over 15 or exactly 15 ,000 points over those 50 caps. So there you go. You can't get that any other way. So very, very good. And if you host an event as well, get extra, you get extra cake if you're the host. just saying, just saying Rob, there you go. Just saying.
Rob (36:47.353)
Yeah.
Rob (36:58.648)
We like this program so much that we might be coming up with something similar to it at the exact moment. It's worked very well. We enjoy it. So it's not events related, but yeah, just a little taster. So nothing more to say. But yeah.
Seemyshell (37:03.957)
Seemyshell (37:08.234)
yeah.
Nice, nice, nice. You heard it here people. Over this weekend, Rob too, I will say that the Munzee Mischief, again, the team at Munzee Mischief did a great job. They also had extra challenge badges. So what that means is that you had to cap certain things, for instance, like, you know, certain pirate ships and cows, which were all very easily accessible. And then if you get that, you show the team that you've kept those for the day.
Rob (37:27.457)
What?
Seemyshell (37:39.545)
and they give you another QR code that's just for a different badge again. Now I'm talking another four or five or six badges in total, you see? So there you go, yeah. But, but again, I love this idea too because it does cost money to host events people. It does cost a pretty penny to host these big, especially big events like this. does, it costs a little bit of money. What they did Rob, they had a $10 prize draw badge.
So what you could do is you pay $10, you roll a dice and you win a prize. Now the prizes we're talking about is pretty good. You can win a tree house, which costs 10 bucks as it is. You can win Zeds, you can win cards, you can win mystery packs. There's a lot of things you can win, but you also get another badge. See, so if you're a badger, so guess who was first in line for that? Eagle Dad was first in line because he calls himself the Badge Hound. So there you go.
Rob (38:25.892)
That's Eagle Dad.
Rob (38:33.572)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (38:37.203)
Very, very good. So those are the sort of things that people can do, Rob, when they go to these big events. And again, if you're hosting or you want to host an event like this or create one like this, reach out to those former hosts and let them know exactly or ask them questions and they'd be happy to help. know, even W. Helen has got some great games out there online too on his YouTube channel. So there you go. So that was the weekend that was, Rob. Very, very, very good. Very big. So.
Yeah, yeah. Any other questions you have for me about the weekend, mate? Before we move on.
Rob (39:09.338)
Very cool.
No, think that you've laid it out there for everybody and given good reason to go and attend those events that are big ones, are things packed around the weekend. Just gives everybody a chance to come together as a community. The points are nice, but I think meeting other people and just being around others who enjoy the same game and games is a lot of fun. I know that's what I enjoy about it.
Seemyshell (39:15.735)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (39:21.144)
Mm
Seemyshell (39:25.283)
Yeah.
Seemyshell (39:37.589)
Mm -hmm. Exactly.
Exactly. Now people, if you go to an event, it's your first time going to an event, don't feel like you're being rude by still capping while you're talking because everyone does. Everyone, exactly. You know, eye contact, can still, you've got two ears for a reason and multi -directional. At the same time, Rob, if you're up against like a nearby greenie, for instance, as well, stand there and have a chat near the nearby greenie and just keep capping that every couple of minutes or so because
Rob (39:49.412)
Yeah, eye contact is not necessary.
Rob (39:58.968)
you
Seemyshell (40:09.303)
you get these scatters come through all the time. Like the boulders come through and the gaming scatters come through all on this greenie. So yeah, there was two greenies, one on each end of the sort of the big pavilion. there was little holes, like hold up people against these two little greenies for a certain period of time too. That's cool. Now, Rob, a couple of beef things come up as well. Firstly, someone's mentioned to me, they said,
Rob (40:17.881)
Yep.
Rob (40:25.508)
Yeah, that's great.
Seemyshell (40:35.107)
Craig, Rob said something about these extra elemental cards last week and they didn't drop yet. What's going on with those cards, Rob? The extra elemental cards?
Rob (40:40.004)
You
Rob (40:44.226)
Yeah, so I accidentally leaked that information last week because it was being prepared last week I thought they were going live on Friday. They did not So instead the information that I leaked last week is Actually going live today as far as when the podcast goes out, but when the podcast goes live immediately They're still not in the store. So they are in fact coming on Friday the 27th. Yes
Seemyshell (40:49.113)
Seemyshell (40:58.73)
Mm
Seemyshell (41:06.905)
Midday. Yep. No, fair enough. There you go. And they just remind everyone they're the elemental cards. So they, they're about water, earth, fire, ice, et cetera. they all? Yep. That's cool. That's cool. They are. They are fun. Now the other thing we have to talk about Rob as well with regards to cards and that is if you do not have a particular card, if you never, you've owned a particular card and that card is in the redeem store for, for stamps.
Rob (41:19.256)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they're fun. They're fun. like them.
Seemyshell (41:36.831)
then you will not see it. You will need to actually own the card prior to them being available for stamps. Because some people haven't owned cards at all. And so they go into the stamps and they go, I don't see any, there's nothing in there for me to redeem. This is the reason why, Rob, is that right?
Rob (41:39.076)
True.
Rob (41:50.914)
Yeah. Yes. And the good news is that if anyone goes to Cup of the Gardens and looks for gardens that have cards in them, they will have an option to redeem stamps there. if yes, so that is one way that everyone guaranteed can use cards or stamps. Sorry. Yeah.
Seemyshell (42:01.325)
Mm
Seemyshell (42:05.448)
there you go.
Seemyshell (42:09.663)
Mm -hmm. Go through, go through, Kapasi Gardens. Very, very good. All right, Rob, we're gonna move on to the Munzee Question of the Week. Again, this one was in person, Rob, from the one, the only, I had to look down, Colecracker7. She'll be right with me saying that. She's lovely lady. We're at the Munzee Mischief event, and she said this, Rob, you were vague a few weeks ago that Fenrir owners would possibly receive something from CAPS.
Rob (42:24.314)
Nice. yeah.
Seemyshell (42:39.593)
Yet, yet she has checked every single day for her Fenrir and when it's capped and she has got nothing. Daily she's been, she's been checking daily Rob. What's going on with the Fenrir cap bonus things that you sort of, hinted at, you didn't say what it was. You just said, check your cap once people.
Rob (42:50.34)
Yeah.
Rob (42:57.528)
Yeah. Yeah. well, Fenrir is supposed to be, possibly, digging up some surprises to bring back to its owner. and, well, it wasn't working properly. So I think that I know the reason, and that is that I, I got a bit excited and I jumped out, before the tool was actually ready for me, even though I've had the tool for a long time. I don't think that it was built to be extendable.
Seemyshell (43:09.773)
Mm
Rob (43:27.396)
and I didn't realize that. earlier this week, the answer to this question was they'll get around to it soon. But the answer today is I've passed this along, I've escalated it a bit. So I'm hoping that we will have an answer soon. And not just for Fenrir, I'm just gonna go ahead and leak more information that isn't available quite yet while we record, but there are going to be other types that kind of like a surprise wheel or
Seemyshell (43:30.275)
Ha ha ha.
Seemyshell (43:36.358)
Mm
Rob (43:57.356)
You know, the bounty ships and different things like that. Pimadus, Magnetus, those those different things. It's possible that people are going to start seeing more rewards as owners from some of those things. So so get your deploys out there, because as we've said before, they do absolutely nothing in your undeployed list.
Seemyshell (44:18.035)
Exactly. There you go people, you heard it. And again, see how I quieten up? I go really quiet and so Rob just keeps on talking. You're welcome people, you're welcome. Pat me on the back next time though. There you go, you're welcome.
Rob (44:23.994)
That's right. Yeah. I might even do it with bouncers. might I might put something reward related attached to additional bouncers. And the thing about this with Fenrir in particular is that this is not something that we sold. Like we didn't sell it saying he's going to deliver prizes to you. We've not done that with any of the other bouncers with the exception of Magnetus, I believe. So
Seemyshell (44:43.352)
No.
Rob (44:53.59)
With that being the case, then any of these things that come back, they're just bonus rewards. And that's what Fenrir was. It was supposed to be a surprise. I leaked the information thinking it'll work. It's going to be fine. It wasn't fine. And yet it will be soon. So special bonuses for owners who are, you know, putting effort into the game, but not only effort, resources, money. And so I thank you for that. And we want to try and give back a little more.
Seemyshell (45:10.798)
Mm
Seemyshell (45:20.345)
There you go, there you go, Kyle Cracker. It's on the list, it's on the list. It will happen at one point in time. The best thing about it is Fenrir is a permanent bouncer, he's a POB, player -owned permanent bouncer. He's not a mech, he doesn't go away, you don't have to rebuild him, he's just gonna be there, so whenever it kicks in, it'll just kick in, so there we go. And speaking as it's before, Rob, a tip of the week is to get yourself to big event. I forgot to add, I'm now co -hosting an event, Rob, in two weeks' time, yes.
Rob (45:47.522)
are you?
Seemyshell (45:49.761)
I'm co -hosting with, with the king himself, W. Helen, will be at, will be at Going Caching Mega event in Rome, Georgia. And so he, he and I will be co -hosting an event there, Munzee event as well. So come along if you're going to Going Caching to the Munzee event also, there you go, in Rome, Georgia. Mm -hmm.
Rob (45:54.564)
Hey.
Rob (46:09.486)
jealous of that one as well because going cashing event is so much fun. It's amazing. I went years ago and so cool the way that they take over Rome, Georgia, the geocachers take over the city and it is so much fun. You will love it. And I think this is last year for it. So they will go all out. Yeah, it's gonna be great.
Seemyshell (46:18.071)
Are you dead?
Seemyshell (46:22.258)
Yep. Yeah. Yeah.
I was gonna say this is the last year, no more after this one. Exactly, and they have been, they have been, so there you go. All right, Rob, guess what, mate, this ends another official Munzee podcast.
Rob (46:36.602)
man. Well, thanks for joining us on this Munzee adventure.
