Amanda O'Mara

Have you ever wondered if your past lives could hold the key to healing your present? This episode of the Calm CEO podcast promises to unlock those mysteries. We kick things off by exploring various methods to access past life memories, from the scientific studies of Dr. Ian Stevenson to the vivid personal recollections during hypnotherapy and ayahuasca. Listen as we recount the astonishing case of James Leininger, a child who remembered his life as a World War II pilot, and ponder how these revelations can bring clarity to current life issues like phobias and relationship struggles.

I dive deep into my own wild past life stories, where I relived the traumatic death of a past life during a bombing. This memory not only connected me to past energetic wounds but also helped explain my present birthmarks. Through this intense journey, I highlight how our physical symptoms and emotional scars are often rooted in past life traumas. Drawing on insights from Brian Weiss's "Many Lives, Many Masters," I emphasize the importance of healing these memories to avoid re-traumatization and achieve profound self-awareness.

Our exploration doesn’t stop there. We venture into the concept of life between lives, as illustrated in Dr. Michael Newton's "Journey of Souls." Be captivated by stories of resisting reincarnation and the surprising past life as a bald eagle, shedding light on my current fear of heights. Discover how past lives, whether human or animal, illuminate recurring patterns and relationships in our present lives. I share personal revelations, like discovering my mother was my child in a previous life, which redefined my understanding of unconditional love. This episode is a compelling invitation to understand past life connections and embrace the transformative power of healing through past life regression.

Amanda O'Mara:

I have this really cool episode today that has been actually highly requested and I finally have gathered my thoughts, made a couple notes for this episode, which is going to be all about past life stuff. I actually really had to gather my thoughts because there's been so many experiences personal experiences with this work, and also I wanted to make sure I deliver this episode in a way that is going to make you maybe curious in the work itself, but also understand why it is actually important to know what your past lives are, whether you believe in it or not, because I truly believe that it can be one of the most healing things you can do, but also bring about a better world. So I'm going to be sharing some of my own stories of what has actually unfolded in my past lives. I want to share some specific stories with you today some crazy, wild facts about past life. There's some research on it, some science behind it, some really interesting things, including, like your birthmark and how that can resemble your past life, death and really just yeah, dive into all the the juicy stuff with you all today.

Amanda O'Mara:

So past life regression therapy is one of many ways of how you can access a memory of a past life. I have also accessed the memory of past lives through an ayahuasca experience. If you haven't through an ayahuasca experience, if you haven't listened to that episode or those two episodes yet, go back. They are just a few behind this one where I share some experiences with that. I have also had clairvoyants tell me about my past life. I have also experienced it during a spinal energetic session too, so there's many ways to do it, but I would say past life regression therapy through hypnotherapy is probably one of the best ways to learn it, to peel back what actually happened in some past lives, and so it's really worth exploring so you can know more about yourself and other lives that you may have lived, and it can really help you better understand yourself, your habits, your desires, maybe even conquer some phobias and nightmares, process some grief, create forgiveness and even resolve some of your own life mysteries. But you know, if you feel like you've tried literally everything in the world to overcome xyz, then maybe it's time for some past life regression. So it can be really incredibly healing if you go down this road. And that's because it can really help resolve some current relationship problems, maybe unravel those phobias or those compulsions or addictions. It can heal physical symptoms as well. And this is all from just experiencing or should I say re-experiencing and processing past memory. And you know it's going to be like walking through a portal to other worlds in which you have lived before.

Amanda O'Mara:

And so I am going to dive first into some research background by Dr Ian Stevenson, who is actually a former psychiatrist who devoted over 40 years of researching reincarnation among children. I think we've kind of all heard like if you've experienced this yourself as a child, maybe your kids, or maybe you've heard about another child who shared kind of these weird stories as a young one, that makes you go like wait, what did you just say? And we can't help but wonder where that's coming from, right. And so Dr Ian Stevenson has actually done a lot of groundbreaking research and science on this work, through numerous thousands of case studies, working with children and the children remembering their past lives and also having the physical peculiarities that match those previous lives. And so a lot of the cases that he has done has been confirmed from death reports. And so he worked with children between the ages of about two to five, um, and working with their memories that surface then, uh, I would say that he has shared that usually those memories begin to start to fade away for us around the age of six. But he has verified the facts and the claims in more than 1500 cases, which is so fascinating. So definitely look him up if you're curious about any of this.

Amanda O'Mara:

But I will share one story that he shares with us, which is the story of James Leninger, who started having nightmares at about the age of two years old, of a plane crash that was shot down in war I think it was a war between the American, the Americans and the Japanese and he would tell his parents what was going on with these nightmares and that, how he was one of the pilots in that plane and he would even draw pictures of planes burning and crashing. And this kid even knew, like his name from that past life, his friend's name, his co-pilot, the name of the plane and like so many other details. It was so interesting, and so they were able to dive into this case study and find the history of of these, these men that had died in a plane crash. And they actually found it, and they were able to find the story and the sister of that person who had passed, and she was able to confirm all the details, like even um, I forget her name, but like she would only go by a specific name, and this kid like confirmed, like no, I used to call you this, and so, yeah, it's pretty, pretty fascinating story. Um, so, so, dr Ian Stevenson, definitely check him out if you want to get some paperwork on the work itself. So so there was a story.

Amanda O'Mara:

I'll dive into this first, so really quick. If you didn't hear me earlier, birthmarks actually can link to how you died in a past life. So I want to share one of the first past life stories that came up for me and it kind of unraveled in separate times throughout my life. So growing up I used to actually have nightmares of my house being invaded, like I was with it was me and my siblings and or these children around me, and some of them I didn't even know where where it felt like my home was being invaded, like all of a sudden, all these army people came down and they just started like firing and shooting and there were bombs going off and planes around like it was in the midst of war and I kind of thought it was just because of the chaos in my life growing up, because it was. There's a lot of siblings growing up and things were a little bit chaotic in the household and it could have resembled that maybe a little bit, but always felt like there's something deeper here and so flash forward.

Amanda O'Mara:

Many years later I had my first ayahuasca experience and what came up almost at the beginning of my ayahuasca journey was, all of a sudden I started remembering the last moments of how I died in a past life and that was me as a mother running for my life with a baby in my arms and there were children and other moms around me and we were in this broken down building which felt very similar to home and all of a sudden we could hear the planes coming and this invasion happening on us and there were bullets flying everywhere and bombs going off. And the next thing I know it in this ayahuasca experience the bomb hits me while, and then the people around me, everyone just basically blows up, everyone dies and I'm like alive for a brief moment longer, but I just remember holding my baby in my arms and just wailing and and I was in this ayahuasca experience, literally reliving it. It was super, super intense, but I just remember reliving it and looking down at this child and the child had died in my arms and then, shortly after I died and so now in this life, it almost feels like I had the um. I was given the opportunity to heal what had happened in that, because I died in so much stress, stress and and panic and just the wailing and everything that, um, yeah, basically I needed to to go into that to kind of heal that wound because that energy, uh, I was wounded energetically and that energy never dies and it carried over into this lifetime. That's how I was able to remember it and, um, so, which was pretty wild.

Amanda O'Mara:

So I do remember bringing this up, actually, with one of my dear friends who is an energy reader and can tap into your past life and stuff, and she, she brought up the same story. I was like, oh yeah, that, that's, that's what happened. And she was like, by the way, amanda, do you have birth marks on your body? And, by the way, when the bomb went off, it felt like it kind of hit like right around my hip area and the top of my legs and my lower belly. So my entire life I've always had a bunch of moles and birthmarks down in that space. So she was like, yeah, like do you have birthmarks or something down in that space? I'm like, yeah, they're kind of like all over the place. And she says, yeah, that's a sign of how you died. And it makes sense, because when I died in that past life, there are a bunch of bullets going off and the bomb and so it's just like shattered all over. Um, so yeah, it's really interesting.

Amanda O'Mara:

So birthmarks can link to death in a previous life. So I'll share a couple of examples. And if you want to check out your body or maybe you know what's on your body right now the reddish brown spot which is usually found on like a forehead, that could be a sign that you died from a poisoned arrow. The dark brown, by the way, the reddish brown spot I've noticed a lot of babies sometimes have that, so it could have been a sign that they died from a poisoned arrow, perhaps in past life. Right, um a doubt, a dark brown, uh birthmark could be resembling the gunshot, uh pattern moles, right. So, like for me, where I have kind of patterns all around my hips, I sprayed short, um, sprayed shots or bullets.

Amanda O'Mara:

If you have like a chain, like mark, and maybe it's a little bit bigger, it could be a sign of a slave chain that was wrapped around your body. Back in the day. They use like these hot metallic objects to mark their criminals or their slaves, and so if you have something like that on you, it could be a sign of you being a criminal or a slave. If you have like a curved, like mole or birthmark, you know it could be from a stab it's and if it's, depending on where the location is of the actual mole or birthmark, could also also indicate like where it was, where it happened. So, for example, if it was, if you have like a mole around your eye, could indicate that you were stabbed, maybe in your sleep right. So if you have more of like a red color on your skin or red mole, it could resemble that you were burned. Or I've even heard that if you were born with no limbs, you maybe lost those limbs in a past life. So it's so interesting to kind of dive into that a little bit, but I want to share.

Amanda O'Mara:

So there's a book may have read this already or heard of it and if you haven't, highly recommend reading it, and if you haven't, I highly recommend reading it. It's called Many Lives, many Masters, by Brian Wise, who was actually skeptical about past life reincarnation. He really didn't believe it. But he's a hypnotherapist and he started working with clients and the book itself actually has probably over a dozen case studies of like literally what the clients are saying during the session. But there is one specific client I want to say it was one of his first clients that made him change his belief about this who came to him with severe phobias since childhood. So he started working with her and she actually had this intense fear of drowning and when she started doing hypnosis and a few sessions in, she ended up discovering that she was in this big flood that devastated her village and then died drowning with her baby in her arms and her symptoms. After a couple more sessions of healing, that path ended up completely disappearing after a whole life of struggling with this, for you know, 30, 40 years, I think. Uh, she, yeah, her symptoms were gone after.

Amanda O'Mara:

After doing that, and I just want to quickly, not like I've I've done a couple past life regression therapies, not just for myself but for others. I don't do it now, but I will say that there's, um, it's really important not to just remember the memory, right, we don't want to, like, re-traumatize ourselves. The whole point of past life regression therapy is to heal, to heal that story, and so while you're in that, sometimes we have to process it, and everybody's gonna be different how they process it. It could be, you know, a physical response where you do start shaking during that remembrance, or or maybe you just start crying, um, or maybe you uh have to change the story and change the story of what happened and create a different reality of what happened. So you're not attached to that past and what happened. So those are different ways and how you can heal that.

Amanda O'Mara:

But as an energy healer, I highly recommend if you're heal that. But as an energy healer, I highly recommend if you're going to work with a past life, regression therapist, work with somebody who does the energy healing too, so that they can transmute that energy. I mean honestly, like anybody can do this. You could do this too during a session where whatever energy you're feeling during that, taking that energy and alchemizing it into something more beautiful, like basically taking that lesson and taking the um, the lessons from it. So so, yeah, I her journey actually kind of reminds me of um a couple different of my past life remembrances. So I think I might have actually shared this in a previous episode, but I'll discuss it again.

Amanda O'Mara:

But so my last business as a business coach ended up shutting down and after that I went into major, major fight or flight response. Now I was already in a chronic dysregulated state running that last business, just always anxious, on edge and fearing failure and all these different things Right. So when that shut down. It's like all of my fears came true and I spiraled. I had so much fear around loss and money and it not coming back, like I was losing sleep over this, like I was a hot mess express y when my that business shut down and I was brought attention to this past life where I was a farmer, a farmer and it and I was 36 years old and it was super successful, just like I was in this lifetime super successful with the business, and then all of a sudden, it just completely like ended.

Amanda O'Mara:

So what happened in this past life? As a farmer, a successful business farmer, I was actually a man, and a man of 10 kids, which is so interesting because I have 10 brothers and sisters in this lifetime. We'll get into that soon how oftentimes you're reincarnated with the same people too, and there's a reason for that. But yeah, I was a farmer, I had like 10 kids and I'm pretty sure Mike was my wife in that period. I never actually confirmed that or dove into it, but I have actually been with my husband now, mike in previous lifetimes. Like I have literally seen what he looked like in past lifetimes and I'm always like, damn, he's hot.

Amanda O'Mara:

Um, but anyways, I, where was I? Okay, yeah, so I, a plague, came in. A plague came in out of nowhere and all of my crops died and it ended up causing so much stress for me. So while I was like in this hypno, um, past life regression hypnotherapy session, all of a sudden my heart just started pounding like crazy, like I felt like my heart was going to come out of my chest and I was like, okay, breathe, breathe.

Amanda O'Mara:

And what was going on? Like all of a sudden I saw an image of me at my deathbed and I ended up having a heart attack at the age of 36 because I was under so much stress and the heart beating was basically obviously signaling like what was going on during that time and I you as a father of 10 kids and then all of a sudden have nothing the amount of stress and trying to take care of my family and then leaving them with nothing, I mean it just ended up killing me quite literally. That's how I died and I needed to remember that because the same thing was starting to happen, even though I don't have 10 kids in this lifetime. But there was this pressure with my team and taking care of my team. My team was my family and then, you know, taking care of my home and like we had all of these, um, expensive things, and I just felt like that burden, that pressure to uh keep up with everything, and I was starting to almost have another heart attack in this lifetime. And so it was so beautiful messed up, but beautiful to remember this lifetime because it taught me that I actually had an opportunity in this lifetime to shift that reality. And now I'm 37. Yay, and I still haven't had a heart attack.

Amanda O'Mara:

So, but had I kept going down that rabbit hole, you know, when my business shut down, then I probably would my my health would have declined very quickly and who knows what have what would have happened next? And so seeing that past life allowed me the opportunity to change in the moment how I wanted to perceive what was going on in my life. Right, and sometimes, when it feels like it's the end of the world, we all still have the choice to change that and get better. And that's when I really started down my healing journey. And you know we're calm CEO podcast was really born because coming from a dysregulated state and now a much more regulated, calm CEO state and now a much more regulated, calm CEO. It has definitely changed my perspective on business and how I run things and how I operate and how to regulate my nervous system and what's truly in alignment for me. So pretty wild story there.

Amanda O'Mara:

There's one more book called Journey of Souls Journey of Souls by Dr Michael Newton, who's also a hypnotherapist. Now I find this one quite fascinating because he ends up exploring the concept of life between lives on Earth. So he also gathered multiple cases where random patients, memories kept collaborating with each other. Now I'm not going to go into interlife regression therapy here, but if that is something you're interested in, it's such interesting work. I actually personally haven't done uh, experience to. Um, maybe I have. I should rephrase that there's been a lot of experiences where I remember almost having like a temper tantrum before coming back to earth Cause I was like I don't want to be a human, it's too hard, and um, yeah, just like kind of remembering that. But um, yeah, maybe I will actually just share. Um, I'll do it in another episode because I feel like it's such a profound, big topic to talk about interlife Basically, like when you pass and then you go into, you know the other life, the life between being a human, who you get to meet and all these different things. And I have I've had a near death experience where I overdose and I think I'll share that that journey in a different podcast, cause we got it. We got some stuff to cover today and you guys know me, I like to trail off sometimes. But, um yeah, journey of the souls by Dr Michael Newton Go check that out if that's something you're interested. But I do want to share too that sometimes you may not have been human in a past life, which is really interesting and I realized this through my own experience. So my spirit animal is a bald eagle and I was actually a bald eagle in a past life.

Amanda O'Mara:

I am in this life so afraid of heights. I'm so afraid of heights Like I have major vertigo, even just like watching a reel or TikTok video on like somebody skydiving, I freak out. I mean I've gone skydiving before to like try to overcome that fear, but it was always there. But I had this memory come up during I can't remember if it was a hypno session or ayahuasca experience, but where I was the ego and I ended up dying. I remember literally feeling myself falling down from the sky to my death. Now I don't know if I was shot or what, or maybe it was just the end of my life and that's how I died and I just died.

Amanda O'Mara:

So, yeah, and now I, I I'm really not afraid of heights anymore, like it doesn't bother me nearly as much, but I do have a little bit of fear of heights still, what I've noticed. So, even though it's better, there might still be another past life or something that I need to heal to help me with my fear of heights, but anyways, I had to to share that. That too, that you may not have been a human, so keep that in mind. And I know a lot of people like when their past loved ones die, sometimes they get a butterfly or a hummingbird, and sometimes our past loved ones will show up that way for us momentarily to remind us, like we're, that they're still there. So, yeah, but I do want to share you know I'm sorry, but your mom or somebody that you can't stand in this life not saying that you can't stand your mom, but they may have been your child in a past life, which is so crazy, and I will share this story again how that was the case for me.

Amanda O'Mara:

So, growing up, I have always felt like I was my mom, um, or I was more of that mom to my mom, right and taking care of her more. And so what was interesting, going back to that story in the war, when the bomb went off and there was a child in my arms. That child, come to find out, ended up being my mom, and I just remember, I don't know, it was just such a huge aha moment for me, because there are a few people in your life that will always reincarnate with you and another that just show up quite a quite a lot. There's quite a few that will show up a lot in your life. You may already know a few people as I'm talking, and some may be those that you really don't like or get along with, and they may even play the same role in some of those lives many times, whether we like it or not. And so this happened to me, um, not only with my mom, which was interesting it my perspective um, with my mom, because we've always had like this up and down relationship our entire life, where seeing her as my own child helped me kind of shift what love meant for me, unconditional love meant for me, for my mom, even though there's a lot of things where we don't believe or get along with. I still love her in a way as if she were my child and yeah, it was just a crazy realization. Um, and I'll share another example, another past life.

Amanda O'Mara:

So this life I've I've often attracted a lot of toxic friends, um, narcissistic friends, or people who were very manipulative, um, just not good for me. I just kind of always knew from the beginning of the relationship that something felt off. Yet, for whatever reason, I felt this yearning to be loved by them, and so then I would kind of go into my people pleasing symptoms and keep them around, and which ended up obviously not being good. So, yeah, and I would. This happened a few times where I would, you know, become best friends with them for a couple years and then all of a sudden it's a hard break from the relationship, and so I remember sitting with this and thinking like, okay, why do I keep attracting these type of friends into my life? And this isn't every single one of my friends, there's every once in a while. I just this friend starts coming in and all of a sudden they're attached to me, and then I'm attached to them and I think it's a healthy relationship, but it really wasn't. And it was quite interesting to learn.

Amanda O'Mara:

Once I finally kind of went deep into that and faced that pattern that kept happening in my life, I realized that these people were in my life, and past lives too. In fact, the story that was happening was they were nuns and I was a student and I was abused by the priest, and then the nuns these friends were the friends from this life. They were nuns and they used to yeah, they were more worried about how they looked and not being rejected by their peers or elders and stuff, and they would know of, like, what would happen, what happened to me. Yet they would still minimize me, demean me and just be super abusive to me. And it was so interesting so I had to go back to that past life to change the story. Like, quite literally, I had to think of these people, these nuns who were also my friends, ex-friends in this life, and go back and change the story of what happened with them and create that different reality. So I wasn't attached to that awful story of not having friends who backed me up when things went wrong. And, yeah, so super fascinating, super, super fascinating.

Amanda O'Mara:

So now can everybody regress, can everybody tap into a past life? I think there's really no way to know for sure, but I can say that, in order to have success with it, it's about your soul's readiness, your openness, your willingness to change and being prepared for any unknowns that may be on your session. Right, you'll be pretty blown away. I mean, I can't make this shit up, guys. Like the stuff that I have unfolded in my past lives. I would never even have thought of those things without going into a deep hypnotherapy session or doing ayahuasca, or sometimes spinal energetics Um. But know that, like each person's is is a little bit different and so every session is going to be different. But I will say you do have to be willing and able to surrender to it completely right. So if you're struggling to meditate and kind of get into that deep, deep theta, delta brainwave right now, then maybe focus on some mind and body connection first before you really get into this work, because you do have to have a deep connection to your body and to your soul, or at least from my experience, you know don't quote me there Everybody is different as far as how they're able to access that. Or you know, if you can just get a reading um from somebody to discover what your past life is. But, yeah, I'm trying to think of any other.

Amanda O'Mara:

So I shared how I was a farmer and how that was related to current life situations with my business, toxic friends, and why I kept attracting them. Um, how you can? You know, oftentimes you, yeah, like, could be your mom, like you were your mom, uh, in a past life, which is so crazy to think about. Um, war, I think, is a big one. You know, war, there's a lot of big wars that happened in the last century, so that's a big one that could come up. Oh, I will share, so you know, my story about losing everything to a wildfire here in this life about four gosh, four or five years ago now gosh, I don't even know anymore. Um, so a lot of past lives that came up were connected to fire, and one that came up was how the uh, uh, uh, my village was burned down and my whole family too was there, and it's interesting that that happened in that life and now it didn't happen again in this life, but I survived the fire. I barely made it out alive. But also the fact that I'm married to a firefighter too. Yeah, it's just, it's interesting the coincidences and I don't believe in coincidences, I believe it's all connected somehow but yeah it that I had to share that one really quick too.

Amanda O'Mara:

Um, suicide was another one that I did unpack too. That one was a really hard one because there was a period in my life where I was very, very depressed. Um, I didn't think I was going to make it out alive. I had really bad thoughts and yeah. So I did have a past life regression therapy session where I felt this rope around my neck like I had committed suicide and yeah. So I had to heal that timeline as well, and it's been very healing for me. I mean, I don't think about that stuff at all anymore today and a lot of the past life stuff. So I used to have really, really bad anxiety as a very young kid and would have a lot of nightmares very young kid and would have a lot of nightmares, and I believe that a lot of that anxiety and those nightmares were linked to that time in war, that war story that I shared with you at the beginning. So, yeah, a lot of the past life stories can be linked to phobias, to patterns in your life, to physical symptoms in your life, and so it can be very, very healing if you go down this road to help resolve some of those and even current relationships too.

Amanda O'Mara:

Maybe you attract the same type of man in your life or woman in your life and it's over and over and over again. Or maybe you are went through this wicked divorce and but if you think about the divorce, that you were able to walk away from that abuse or whatever the reason was in this life, because maybe you were able to do that in a past life, things were very different back then when it came to marriage and for women and our roles and for men and their roles, and so, yeah, quite, quite interesting how they're all connected. So why a belief in reincarnation can bring about a better world. I believe that if a majority of us were to really accept a belief in reincarnation, as opposed to that belief of you only live once, I feel like the state of our world can be remarkably better. I really believe that, and if we all realize that we may return to this world as a person of the opposite sex, maybe belonging to another religion, another country, another race, you know, we could really realize we are all one and not persecute one another are all one and not persecute one another. Many problems in the world today, like racism, gender discrimination and the countless conflicts and the wars and the name of religion, would cease to make sense in such a scenario. Right? So it can really help us to develop greater empathy for each other, for our fellow beings, and and for many, it can diminish the fear of death too.

Amanda O'Mara:

Um, I was so afraid of death for so long. Now it doesn't. I don't really think about it because I know it's yeah, I'm just going to probably reincarnated, or maybe not, I don't know. Maybe we go go into a different dimension, different portal, and, um, maybe I will be Chewbacca, who knows? Um, but yeah, yeah, I think that reincarnation can, can, is a beautiful thing. I think there's a lot of good in it and a lot of people who you know. If you believe in karma, you know like not saying this for everybody, but you know like, maybe, if you had slaves back in the day and then you were a slave in this lifetime in some way, shape or form, you know there's just, there's just so many ways and how we're learning and growing as humans, and it's just yeah, it's just so fascinating to me. So, anyways, I hope this episode it helped you in some way. Maybe if you want to do a past life regression session, let me know. I can send you some people that I think would be great for you to go down that rabbit hole. But yeah, it's amazing work and, I think, also just important. I mean there's just so many different healing modalities out there and past life regression therapy is a healing modality, so go check it out and if you could do me a huge favor, please drop me five stars.

Amanda O'Mara:

With the spinal energetics reels on my Instagram going viral pretty often lately I get a lot of hate, which doesn't bother me, but when I block them, I noticed that they will immediately go to my Google business name, agape Holistic Healing, or on this podcast. They will rate it and then not even leave a comment. It's like people that are literally not even. It's the trolls, it's the scammers of the internet. So if you guys could just do me a huge favor and help me just diminish the one stars that I've gotten lately and give me that five star and leave a comment in the commentary below, it would just mean the world to me. Please share this podcast on your stories. Please share it with your loved ones or with anyone you think could benefit from this episode or this podcast in general. It would mean the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. So much love to you and I will see you on the next one.
