Did Hitler Escape After WW2?

Adolf Hitler was the dictator of Nazi Germany, rising as the leader of the Nazi party before becoming the head of state and government in 1934.  During his dictatorship, he initiated the European theatre of  World War II by invading Poland in 1939.  He was closely involved in military operations throughout the war and was responsible for the creation of mobile death squads to perform mass executions on 6 million Jews, as well as Catholics, homosexuals, political dissidents, gypsies, and disabled people.  In addition, 3,000 children, mostly twins were experimented on and eventually killed.  Overall, he is thought to be responsible for the murder of 19.3 million civilians and POWs, with 28.7 million people dying as a result of military action – an unprecedented number.

In April 1945, as the war was winding down, Hitler was hiding out in a bunker. Hitler married his longtime partner Eva Braun just after midnight on April 29, then several hours later he shot himself in the head.  At the same time, his new wife Eva Braun and their dog, Blondi, each took a cyanide pill.  Their bodies were doused in gasoline and set on fire per his request.  Nothing remained of him except a portion of jaw bone and some teeth.

We know Hitler had body doubles, could one of them be the charred body that was found? Did he and his new wife survive and flee to Argentina? Did he escape to a secret base in Antarctica?  Or…  is he living on the dark side of the moon?

It just doesn't make sense.

I do wonder the logistics around it, but I mean, submarines.

The picture from the secret service about what he could look like, he could have very easily, I'm sure he grew his hair the way he did, so that when he would change it, it would look that different.

You know what I mean?

To have such a prominent mustache.

Yeah, and he had the weird comb over, didn't he?

Yeah.

That's what's kind of wild, actually.

We posted on the website, the secret service did post it, it's on Wikipedia too, but the secret service, the US secret service, like six photos of Hitler that were what he could look like if he shaved his mustache, if he wore got glasses.

He does look like completely different people in every picture.

Oh, what does Hitler look like?

I just know the mustache.

Does he have blue or brown eyes?

No, that's the whole thing.

Brown hair, brown eyes, mustache, but he only wanted people with blonde hair, blue eyes, and skin.

Right.

And then there was some rumor he may have had, I don't want to get into this, because there were so, this research-

He started culturing himself.

This research took me on so many side stories with side facts I'll share with you, but there was one that he may have actually had some Jewish heritage.

I heard that.

Yeah, he might actually be Jewish.

Yes, and we're going to talk about it.

And then who were the body doubles?

I don't have firm names, but apparently had multiple.

Apparently there was also a dog double, Blondie.

And Eva Braun also had some doubles.

They all have mustaches.

I think you'd have to have a mustache if you were going to be Hitler's body double.

Did he have a mustache the entire World War era?

Yeah, he was pretty married to that mustache.

So we're going to do a little history here because as you all know, we are not strong.

Not history agers.

Adolf Hitler was born in Austria on April 20th, 1889.

He's a Taurus.

Aren't you a Taurus?

Yeah.

What's that say about me?

We are earth signs and we're very stubborn and we like comfort.

Right.

And status is important to us and-

Someone that tracks with him.

But I don't, like sometimes I read things and it's like horoscope, I mean, like Taurus's don't like people and they just kind of want to hide away with their books.

And I'm like, I like people.

So as we said, Adolf Hitler was born in Austria on April 20th, 1889.

He dropped out of school.

He lived in Vienna and he was a orphan.

He lived in poverty until about 1913.

I think he inherited some money from his dad's estate at that point.

So hoping to avoid being drafted into the Austrian army, he fled to Munich in 1913, where he worked as an artist.

Did you guys know that Hitler wanted to be an artist?

No.

I did.

That's like the first fact you learn about him.

Okay.

They're like, if you like, it's like people, the first fact.

Him not going to art school had a severe impact on his mental health, which then led to.

No.

Anybody who defends Hitler.

They're not defending it, but they're saying.

But they're using him as a support, the arts in our schools.

No, but there's like, like that was a pivotal, pivotal point in his life that like, he like talks about it in Mein Kampf, doesn't he?

I mean, I don't know.

I don't, I did art school.

He wouldn't have been this crazy dictator.

He's like a giant crybaby whiny douchebag that killed a bunch of people.

And he's like, if only they gave me art school, like he credits it to something.

I would never in my life.

Who are these people that are sympathizing with Hitler?

It does have a part in his history or whatever.

So he was sent, so he flees to Germany because he's really trying to be a draft dodger.

Okay, so he did get sent back to Austria, but he did fail his physical and returned to Munich within the year.

He ended up joining the Bavarian army, which do you guys know, apparently Bavarian is like a state of Germany, like a very conservative state of Germany.

No, I didn't know that.

They're mostly known for like their pretzels and sausage.

It's kind of unclear how he was granted permission to join the Bavarian army after he had like avoided enlistment in the Austrian army, and apparently failed that physical, but regardless, excuse me, he serves in France and Belgium during World War I.

And while there, he preached German nationalist ideas and kind of very moral behavior.

He had sounds like kind of a cushy job.

He was miles from the front lines and he was a message runner, which was kind of a dangerous job because you'd have to run back and forth to the front lines, either on foot or by bicycle.

But by World War I, most messages were being relayed by telephone.

That being said, he did earn two iron crosses for bravery, the second of which was awarded by a Jewish officer.

What the hell?

Yeah.

Where did his life go wrong?

Art school.

Okay, so Hitler suffered a leg injury in 1916 when a shell exploded.

And then in 1918, he was temporarily blinded and muted by a mustard attack by the British.

On November 10th, while hospitalized for this attack, he was told by a pastor that Germany had been defeated, and Hitler reported suffering another bout of blindness from the stress, prompting him to decide to become a politician.

So he was blind from the stress?

No, so apparently he had this transient blindness from this mustard attack, and he's in the hospital recuperating.

And then the story he tells, okay, this is not, it's like, oh my God, I was so overcome when I was told that we had lost the war, that I temporarily became blind again.

And then that was when I knew I needed to be a politician and I needed to like save Germany.

So he had blindness, but then he saw the light.

Yes, he saw the light.

I can see that.

And the quote from him is, when I was confined to bed, the idea came to me that I would liberate Germany.

I knew immediately that it would be realized.

Hitler, like many Germanies, blamed the defeat on insufficiently patriotic traitors.

So again, I think we know this goes into like, feed his like nationalism, right?

He goes berserk.

So upon his return to Munich, he joined the German Workers' Party, which aimed to unite working class issues with a sense of nationalism.

At the same time, he was teaching national thinking courses for the military.

And then it was then that he realized he was a skillful public speaker.

Oh.

I think he was one of like, I realize that him.

Hitler was like, hey, I'm pretty good at this.

I think there were like 29 people in the military teaching this class.

He was like one of them.

Wow.

And it was just like brainwashed with patriotism.

Yeah, Gaslight, Girlboss.

Or in 1920, he left the army to work full time for the National Socialist German Workers Party, which is the Nazi party, that developed into the Nazi party.

Okay.

I'm sorry.

He's from Austria.

And he's now the biggest German nationalist.

Hitler developed the Swastika.

So he gets credit for the Nazi logo, right?

How did he come up with it?

I'll tell you, that's a great question.

He adapted it from the sacred symbols of Hinduism, Buddhism, and this other ism.

This was also around the time of the Treaty of Versailles, which held Germany responsible for starting World War I, and led to a loss of territory.

They had financial reparations they were supposed to pay, and like demilitarization.

So it kind of sounds like there was a lot of economic distress in Germany and a lot of resentment.

So it's kind of like a perfect climate for Hitler to come in with his Nazi party and take over.

Right.

They developed squads to protect their meetings, and in 1923, he proclaimed the beginning of the revolution in a beer hall before he and his followers engaged in a gunfight with police.

As a result, he was arrested for treason and sentenced to five years in prison, but he only served nine months.

And it was during that time he wrote his autobiography.

Which actually didn't sell very well.

It eventually went on to become Germany's number two bestseller behind Only the Bible.

But it took a long time to get there.

Yeah.

Okay.

So if you want to get real hippie dippy, you could argue if he'd not been in prison, none of this would have happened.

Because he's arguing that his time in prison is when he became obsessed with race and ethnic purity.

When he was released, Germany had experienced some economic recovery and so support for the Nazi party was sort of waning.

He laid low and he developed the Hitler Youth Group and the SS, a group of over 200 men who swore allegiance to Hitler.

In the meantime, Germans were accused of the Nazi party of being too extremist.

So Hitler said he would only take power through democratic elections, and that actually won him a lot of favor.

He's like, I'm not going to come to be this dictator.

I will only take power if I am voted on.

In 1932, he received 35% of the vote losing the presidency to Paul von Hindenburg, a war hero.

Did he die?

Due to political instability, politicians and businessmen wrote letters to Hindenburg the following year urging him to appoint Hitler as chancellor, which he eventually did.

So there's like a chancellor and there's a president, and it's like two separate roles at this time.

The same year, there was a devastating fire set to the German parliament building, which we now know to be the work of the Nazi party.

But as a result, parliament passed the Enabling Act, which gave him full powers to pass any laws, even those that oppose the Constitution.

So now I'm just like, God, the government has passed a law saying like, yes, your word is bond.

Yeah.

That July, all non-Nazi parties were outlawed and Hitler began making plans to build his own military and expand German territory.

On June 30th, 1934, during what is now known as the Night of Long Knives, 150 political opponents of Hitler were murdered with hundreds more being arrested.

Oh my gosh.

The law concerning the head of state of the German Reich was passed on August 1st, 1934, declaring the elimination of the presidency upon Hindenburg's death.

So Hindenburg is the president and like the day before their president dies, somehow they get him to sign this war, this like law saying, you know, once I die, then it's gonna be one role.

The president and the chancellor is gonna be one in the same person.

Oh.

He dies the next day of lung cancer.

This is horrible.

I am sure that somebody was next to him while he was hypoxic, having him sign something.

Get shot up on opioids and-

Yep.

Don't you think the chancellor and the president should be the same person?

What?

Just sign here.

So now we have Hitler as the head of state and also the head of government.

His first act was to make all soldiers take an oath of loyalty to Hitler personally and set up to the office of the president.

Right.

Interesting.

That's definitely, he's got his priorities in line, you know?

He used a lot of blackmail to assume control over military leaders.

So like somebody I think was married, someone had like some homosexual allegations against him.

And so he was like, I will release his dossier if you don't do what I want you to do.

Oh.

And then someone else, he was like, you know, your wife, I have, I've investigated her and she used to be a prostitute.

And I'm gonna, you know, hold that over your head.

Come on.

He then fired 16 generals and transferred 44 more before appointing himself commander in chief because he doesn't have enough roles yet, you know?

Right.

He continued to gain support by creating an economic boom following the post-war devastation.

And you know, part of that economic boom was because he stole assets from the Jews and other enemies.

You mean the gold?

Nazi gold?

The Nazi gold.

Sorry.

Sorry.

Also under him, unemployment fell from 6 million to 1 million.

That was like a record low.

And they even hosted the 1936 Olympic games.

Oh, this is where there was American drama because certain Olympic games.

They were boycotting and they weren't letting Jews play or something, but I think he did like the opening ceremony.

On September 15th, 1935, passage of the Nuremberg Laws outlawed German citizenship to all Jews and banned relations with Germans.

At the same time, Hitler burned books.

He forced newspapers out of business and used in radio movies for propaganda.

He forced all the teachers to join the Nazi party.

And all of this was like an attempt to exert his dominance.

Over the next several years, he formed alliances and invaded Austria and Czechoslovakia.

It wasn't until Nazi troops invaded Poland in 1939 that Britain and France declared war against Germany.

So that's the start of World War II.

And then the United States entered the war because of Pearl Harbor.

And so when they declare war against Japan, Japan and Germany were allied.

And I guess we shouldn't really say Germany because it's really Nazi Germany, right?

Right, Nazi Germany.

Japan and Germany were allies.

And so when the United States declares war on Japan, they were the Axis, yes, the allied forces and the Axis forces.

And we were part of the allied forces, yes.

Around this time, they were also creating concentration camps, which eventually became death camps.

And they created mobile death squads to perform mass executions on 6 million Jews before the end of the war, which that's who we often talk about, but also executed a lot of Catholics, homosexuals, political dissidents, gypsies and disabled people.

Who did they want?

Like white Protestants or something?

They wanted like the Aryan race, right?

But why Catholics?

They thought Catholics were just like too...

Again, it's kind of like, I was talking about my Mormon research, that they're like, well, if we get our direct word from God, then that's gonna trump the law, right?

So pretty much Hitler wanted like nationalists, people who were just like...

People who would run your bust.

And it's like, obviously they're not 100% nationalists if they're also worshiping someone besides him.

Oh, okay.

Yeah, that's valid.

Yeah, that's fair.

That's what Wikipedia told me.

And then again, we had kind of briefly talked in our twin episode about the twin experiments, but it sounds like 3000 children, mostly twins were experimented on.

They would like experiment on one twin and have like a control twin, but then in the end they ended up taking all of them out.

And then we know that there were 19.3 million civilians and POWs that were killed, and then 28.7 million people died as a result of military action.

And so again, this was like the greatest number of casualties in any war that we'd ever seen.

Okay, so that's all really dark and heavy.

I'm going to give you a little side story about his romantic life.

Oh, so Hitler was infatuated with his half sister's daughter.

No, not his half sister's daughter.

So unsurprising, but also disgusting.

Yeah, Gaeli Raabel is what it sounded like when I had the German man pronounce it for me online.

This was Hitler's half sister's daughter.

And he was infatuated with her.

He said it was like his one true love.

And again, I think I had mentioned, it's like so wrong.

Again, Hitler was apparently very celibate before he fell in love with his half niece.

And he would, again, when he was in the army and his peers would be out picking up women, he was super judgmental about it.

So again, he was in love with her.

She apparently, the story is he was so obsessed with her, drove her crazy and she ended up using his weapon in his apartment to end her life in 1931.

That's awful.

So he was completely devastated.

He said, this was my one true love.

So he was like, never gonna get married again.

He did go on to have a long-term relationship with Eva Braun, who we mentioned in the intro and who we'll talk about later.

She was a photographer, well, artiste, and she worked as a shop assistant in Munich, but he refused to marry her until the day before they both died and we will get into that.

Was she blonde with blue eyes?

Yeah, she was blonde haired and blue eyed.

Some other interesting things about his personal life.

Again, he's like holier than thou, hardcore vegetarian.

Apparently, he used to bribe people.

He didn't smoke.

And so if people smoked, he would like in his close circle, he'd be like, I'll give you a gold watch if you stop smoking.

And he would stop smoking.

Prior to their death, Hitler and the Nazi soldiers had spiraled into heavy drug use, with Hitler being injected with opioids by his personal physician, as well as widespread use of a pill form of crystal meth that was supposed to keep them alert and happy so they could like fight the good fight.

So wait, he was getting uppers and downers?

I want to tell you about all the drugs he was getting.

Oh my gosh.

But you know, with the crystal meth, they first took like 90 college kids, and they're like, we're just going to give you this drug and see how you respond.

And they responded pretty well.

So then this became like an over-the-counter available to anybody drug during the war.

It's like Adderall, but not...

Yeah, they wanted soldiers to stay awake for days at a time.

And this personal doctor, Theodore Morell, who successfully...

So Hitler had a lot of medical issues, including GI issues.

Kait.

I know this.

Poor gut, poor mental health.

So Theodore Morell, he came to the doctor with these GI issues, and he miraculously cured him.

And then Hitler was like, you're my man now.

So for the next nine years of his life, he's like his personal physician.

He injected Hitler daily with amphetamines, barbiturates and opiates.

Oh my gosh.

And he had him taking as many as 90 pills a day, including belladonna and cocaine.

Oh my gosh.

What's belladonna?

But it's like a, yeah.

Hitler had a lot of health problems with reports of IBS.

A lot of people think that at the end of the war, he was exhibiting signs of Parkinson's disease.

There is some video evidence of him having like hand tremors and a shuffling gait, which kind of progressively worsened.

Well, I mean, I feel like the hand tremors could be like, both of those could be, you're taking a lot of drugs.

Yeah.

He also allegedly, there's different rumors he had different STDs, but specifically one that keeps coming up.

Syphilis.

Is that he had syphilis?

Uh-huh.

Maybe that kind of made him on this down roll.

He had the syph.

The syph.

Neurocyphilis.

Giant cell arteritis, so like a vasculitis.

Oh, you were also talking about, there have been some experts who've looked back who were like, why was he this crazy?

And there are a lot of experts believe he had borderline personality disorder.

Though everyone is very clear that like, he did not suffer delusions.

He was responsible for all the atrocities that he caused.

He knew what he was doing.

Yeah, people cannot say like, oh, this poor man had a mental health issue and they didn't let him take art classes.

So that's why he did what he did.

That's not fair.

He was a hundred percent responsible, but it does seem like he had some kind of personality disorder.

I told you he was also a vegetarian.

He had his own greenhouse.

Fun.

To ensure a steady supply of fruits and vegetables, I told you he didn't drink.

He smoked in childhood, then quit.

And as I mentioned, he bribed his friends to quit.

Then he's just like high on amphetamines and opioids at the end of his life.

Like what?

So then June 6th, 1944 D-Day.

That's also Captain Fred's birthday, but not 1944.

So Allied forces land on the beach of Normandy.

It was the largest seaborne invasion in history.

And at the time, the largest use of airborne troops because, like Colleen said, the big difference between World War II and World War I is the planes.

Get these snakes off the plane.

America has the number one air force, the greatest air force.

Fly bird, fly.

It was the start of a seven week campaign by 156,000 UK, US, and Canadian troops as well as others, but mostly UK, US, and Canada.

And again, the goal was to liberate France.

And the success of this invasion was kind of the beginning of the end of the war.

Poor France.

So now let's talk about, we're finally getting to like, what's Hitler going to do?

He has funded this war.

He's all about this war.

And now it looks like he's going to lose.

Yeah.

The walls are caving in.

And like a real hero, January of 1945, he decides he's going to go hide out in a bunker somewhere.

Yeah.

So he lives in this bunker with his girlfriend and his dog and his personal physician and all his people who are still obeying his demands.

And then four months later, there are about 2.5 million Russian soldiers fighting and they're like approaching this bunker.

They get within 100 yards of the bunker.

And so Hitler's like, what's my plan?

So as I mentioned, he decides he's going to marry his longtime partner, Eva Braun, who he'd refused to marry prior to that because he was so in love with his dead half niece.

And so they get married just after midnight on April 29th.

Sounds like they have like kind of a little celebration with his followers who were there.

But I also heard it was kind of morbid because it was sort of like, it seemed like he was getting his affairs in order.

April 29th.

Oh, April 29th.

Do you want to know where I was on April 29th?

Do you really want to talk?

So then while they're getting their affairs in order, he's informed that Mussolini had been executed by the Italian resistance.

And he's like, the Soviet troops are on their way.

They're again, a football field away.

What am I going to do?

So if you believe the official story, he shot himself in the head, and then his new wife, Eva Braun, and the dog Blondie each took a cyanide pill.

And again, so apparently he had like dictated to his assistants like his wishes which war.

So this is all unwitnessed.

They're in a private room.

His assistants come in as instructed, find them deceased, and take them upstairs above the bunker to the garden where they douse the bodies in gasoline and set them on fire.

Interestingly, so then with his death, this new guy takes over as chancellor, but he like within a day poisoned his six children and his wife and himself.

So like all the people, all the higher ups are just like, I got a GTFO because it's not going well for us.

So on May 1st, Karl Donitz, Hitler's nominated successor as head of state, broadcast a message on Hamburg radio stating that Hitler had died, quote, at his command post, fighting to the last breath against Bolshevism.

Would we say that he was really fighting to his last breath?

No, no.

Sounds like a coward.

He was not like William Wallace.

Oh, you mean our favorite Scotsman?

Yeah, the one who's like, You can take my life.

Bringing it back to Hitler here.

Okay.

So nothing remained of him.

This was getting back to your question, Colleen.

Nothing remained of him except a portion of jawbone and some teeth.

So then we got to keep the jawbone.

No, the Soviets have that.

Oh.

But we'll talk about it.

Oh, is the DNA not matching?

The Soviet, the job role?

My goodness.

So at the time of Hitler's alive, how old would he have been?

Allegedly.

Do you really want to know where I was?

56.

So reportedly at this time, Hitler's 56.

He only had four or five of his own teeth remaining.

And so his dentist, it sounds like his dentist and the dental assistants over the years were arrested and grilled and all of that.

So he had a personal physician, but nobody was looking in his mouth.

I was like, yeah.

Think about all that drugs he was on.

But they said, so I guess they were able to match these, his dentist was able to identify and based on these dental records.

And they also said, you know, these remaining teeth clearly belonged to a vegetarian.

I don't know how you can tell that.

Dentists let us know.

But they were like, they clearly belonged to vegetarians.

And so this checks out, it's probably Hitler.

So vegetarians have increased risk of dental erosion because they have a lack of calcium and vitamin D in their diet.

Okay.

And fruits and vegetables are more acidic, so that can contribute to decay.

Oh, okay.

But no scurvy.

Scurvy.

Scurvy.

So 11 years later, there was some big investigation, and I think it was all surrounding, like we have to issue a death certificate so that we can take all of the things that were his and like give them back to people, disseminate them back to people that were stolen from.

And so maybe we should do a death certificate.

So 1956, I think I read that actually in Germany, law is like you have to be, have disappeared for like 10 years or something before they can declare you.

So they do this investigation, and they interview 42 witnesses who were apparently like present in the bunker when this all happened.

And based on that, they say, okay, yeah, we are assuming he is dead, death certificates issued, we're done.

But the conspiracy theory, as we mentioned...

Is that he didn't die.

Is that he didn't die.

And so there are a lot of weird ones out there, like that he's in Antarctica or on the moon.

But the most prevalent one is that he has fled to Argentina.

Yeah, we're going to talk about the German population in Argentina.

Yeah, there's also a German population in Brazil.

Well, so also in Brazil, apparently I learned while researching this, that there's a lot of Americans who fled to Brazil after the Civil War.

So some Confederate soldiers fled to Brazil and created this like American colony.

And there's still, you know, people have stayed.

No, surely not.

So where, I'm going to kind of get into it, but let's start with like where this theory came from.

So I think the origin of this theory, we can likely blame Stalin for.

So on June 6, 1945, Soviet officers working for the Minister of Defense informed the British press that Hitler's body had been found and the cause of death was poison.

The same day, however, Stalin told the US Secretary of Commerce Harry Hopkins, whose side note was responsible for the New Deal under FDR, tells him that Hitler's remains had not been found and he was likely still alive.

He said the same thing to Jimmy Burns, who was Truman's Secretary of State, and Eisenhower himself believed he was still alive.

In fact, there was a Stars and Stripes article, so Stars and Stripes, like the military newspaper that goes out to all of the bases and everything, and there was an article in the Stars and Stripes saying Hitler was still alive.

Three days later, that Minister of Defense, who had first come out and reported to the British press that Hitler was dead, that same guy comes out three days later after Stalin's been telling everyone it's not true and says, yeah, actually, we didn't find his body.

He may have escaped.

And Stalin continued to double down.

In July, he was like, I hear he could be in Spain or in Argentina.

And I guess they threw out a couple different guesses of where he could have been over time, but that's probably where this theory started.

Was Stalin against?

They were on our side.

This is also what's so wild is like...

This is pre-Cold War, so we were...

Yeah, it's like the sides that just flip, you know?

Yeah.

Okay, so what would have been Stalin's motivation to lie?

Right.

So one could be that this minister of defense was kind of like his political rival.

And so was he trying to undermine his political rival?

Also, was he trying to strengthen his claims on German territory?

Like, you know, keep a little level of fear out there, okay?

He had had a wartime alliance with the Allied forces.

And so maybe he thought, like, if there's still this threat over our heads, like, it's going to keep this alliance going, right?

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Right.

And then finally, you know, did the USSR totally botch his investigation, and they didn't want people to be looking too closely at their death investigation?

And so they're like, oh, we'll just say he got away, and then no one's going to come to us looking for the information.

So the British did not like this initial story of him dying like a hero's death.

It's kind of simultaneously happening with these Stalin reports that maybe he got away.

Because again, the official story was like, he died fighting the good fight at the very end, right?

And they're like, we're not giving him the smarter hero's death.

So the Foreign Office had this British intelligence officer, Hugh Trevor Roper, do an investigation.

And so he released a book called The Last Days of Hitler, and he claims that based on his investigation, Hitler shot himself, Eva took cyanide, and that that's it, they're dead.

But again, people are like, everyone has a political motivation to have their side of the story.

Yep, we took down the bad guy, or he's not there.

And nobody wants to say he could be alive because they want to say the war is over.

Right.

And he's going to feel like it's over till he's dead.

Right.

And nobody wants to perpetuate that fear of him still being alive.

So then in 1968, the USSR releases an autopsy report.

Now, to be clear, it sounds like the remains had been dug up and moved multiple times because kind of like when Osama went down, we didn't want him to be buried somewhere where people could come and pay their respects.

Exactly.

So it sounds like the body was dug up and relocated a couple of times.

But the Soviets releases autopsy report and they claim that Adolf and Eva had both died of cyanide poisoning.

And this causes more drama now because a cyanide death is considered a cowardly death.

And his supporters were like, no, he was a real hero.

We had a soldier's death.

He shot himself.

Somehow in their mind, this is like more heroic than he just wussed out and took the poison.

True crimes sometimes are like...

Well, there is that one true crime where a lady poisoned because cherries have...

So you increase the amount of cherries you give somebody.

Early symptoms include headache, dizziness, fast heart rate, shortness of breath and vomiting.

Yeah, you think if he has access to all these like barbiturates and everything, that'd be the way to go.

Right.

Just put yourself in a coma.

Yeah.

So now people are all wound up about this.

Like, why do we not have a story that makes sense?

So now let's fast forward to like 2009, okay?

And they go, Russia goes, okay, you know, we're going to give the United States one hour of access to the remains.

And again, like this, this jawbone that they claim belonged to Hitler.

The jaw with some teeth, yeah.

And so these remains had never been studied.

So we have Dr.

Nick Bellantoni and Dr.

Linda Strausba.

These are, they both work at Yukon.

And they took samples of the skull and the couch where he had allegedly shot himself from the Soviet archives.

And again, they had this one hour to kind of look at it.

They determined the bones belonged to someone about 15 years younger than Hitler's 56.

Oh, my gosh.

They also determined the DNA from the skull was female.

Oh, my God.

But that it could not be Eva's because she reportedly did not shoot herself.

This skull had evidence of a gunshot wound and she was 33.

And they were like, no, this skull belongs to a female in their 40s.

Oh, my gosh.

They have done, they have continued to investigate.

They saw the teeth.

They agree these teeth do look like they probably belong to Hitler.

The skull they do not believe belongs to Hitler.

And the Soviets have not allowed anyone else, like after this, after the United States was like, wait a minute, this isn't Hitler's skull.

They've not let anyone else look at it.

Oh, my gosh.

Drama.

That is drama.

Also, why are they like protecting it?

Well, I mean, so people are like, is the question like if it comes back again and someone says it's not Hitler, it's going to like propagate the, quote, conspiracy theories that exist?

Or is it because they're so embarrassed about how awful their investigation was?

I don't know.

So that's just a little history on that.

And then we haven't really even gotten into how he got to Argentina, what was going on.

So just kind of a reminder about what was going on with Argentina during the war.

The president of Argentina had remained neutral throughout World War I and II.

And then they waited until literally two months before the war is over.

And they go, you know what?

March 1945.

You know what?

I think I'm going to side with the allied forces who are, I'll be going to win this war.

Right?

Yeah.

Like that's a real bold move.

So they had been completely neutral up until then.

Who did?

Who was?

This was the president of Argentina.

Whose vice president and minister of war was Juan Peron, who is Evita's husband.

Don't cry for me, Argentina.

So Juan Peron, who became the president after him, he's a big fan of Mussolini and Hitler, and he's elected president of Argentina the following year.

So we know that the leader of Argentina is a supporter, right?

He's a Nazi Party sympathist.

Yes.

We also know that many of the higher-ups in the Nazi Party committed suicide, were murdered, or were arrested and put on trial, but many of them did in fact escape.

So Joseph Mingiel, the doctor at Auschwitz, and Adolf Eichmann, who was in charge of implementing the final solution, they are the big ones who ended up in Argentina.

What the heck was he doing?

So he lived under the name Wolfgang Gerard, and he lived a quiet life until 1979 in Argentina, when he suffered a stroke while swimming at a vacation resort in Brazil.

God, I hope he drowned.

It was a real rough end of the line.

He died in a vacation resort in Brazil swimming.

So in 1979, 20 years later.

So unfair.

No way.

And then Eichmann lived under the name Ricardo Clements until his son, who was bragging about him, to impress this Jewish girl he was wooing.

Oh, yeah.

Apparently she was impressed, but she was Jewish.

What the heck?

He was like, you know who my dad is?

And so actually this guy got captured because the son couldn't shut up.

So they found him.

He was sinking with his other head.

They found him in 1960.

He was brought to Israel and stood trial there.

And then he was sentenced to death, which was carried out in 1962 by hanging.

But he got to live on ice 15 years in Argentina before his son, you know, got him busted.

So I guess I have really mixed feelings as I went into this.

I'm going to tell you about some of the sightings, but I really tried.

I watched two documentaries.

I wanted to hear like, what is this theory?

And there's, but there's like not one consistent theory, which makes it hard for me to believe that it's like each documentary has some different, like here's 10 people who claim to have seen them.

And then also they had declassified every time anyone reported a potential sighting, the FBI or the CIA would have to investigate it.

So they declassified some of these reports.

So I'll tell you about some of the sightings, apparently.

It's like Batman.

At the end of The Dark Knight.

Yeah, when he like, when he like, he fakes his death and then goes and then like him and Alfred see each other in, what are they in France?

In Italy?

I think it was Italy.

Yeah, they're like, like they run into each other or they at like a cafe and they he looks up and he's they're like, give each other the look and they're like, oh, we both made it.

Yeah.

Okay.

One of these big sightings, I think this one seems to be the most maybe promising because also these theories, there's very different theories about like, did he get out by airplane by U-boat as you mentioned?

So July 10th, 1945, a U-boat showed up in Mar de Plata, which is like 250 miles from Buenos Aires.

Reporters claimed that they saw a high ranking official and a civilian, both men, get off the boat.

And so people thought, is this Hitler in even disguise?

Over the next month, there were additional U-boat sightings and more southern ports in Argentina.

Years later, the captains of these U-boats reported that they had fled to Argentina after the war for fear of persecution in Germany.

So again, we know that people were doing this.

They knew there was a strong German community in Argentina and they had been relatively neutral during the war.

So, rumors did persist for a few years.

Again, was Hitler amongst these people?

And apparently, they're like, oh yeah, four U-boats came over, but only two ever were spotted.

So, it became one of the last two U-boat.

Right.

And then in 1957, a pilot was flying overhead and he recognized the outline of a U-boat because by then they think the iron deposits had accumulated.

So, it made it visible from the sky.

And so, they were identified in the 1990s as these two missing U-boats.

And so, that story seems like it kind of checked out that it probably was just a bunch of like young soldiers who were Nazis trying to get out of Germany.

Okay.

But the other sightings we've got, an elderly Argentinian woman named Catalina Gomera worked in a house where her employer had a mysterious guest who remained in his room.

She was instructed to prepare German meals like schnitzel and sausage and leave them at his door.

But we know he was a vegetarian.

Right.

So, he wouldn't be eating schnitzel.

Right.

Schnitzel.

He was allegedly spotted in Ireland disguised as a woman in Egypt.

He was living in Egypt where he had converted to Islam.

These are all reports, again, that the US received.

Right.

Again, there was another U-boat sighting in 1945 where they said, four different men said they saw two women, a doctor and Hitler, without his signature mustache, get off a boat.

But a U-boat.

But then when they investigated the sources, there was no proof they had ever even been in Argentina.

So, didn't hold a lot of...

There was a lady who owned a spa in Argentina, the Hotel Eden, and she visited him in Germany a lot during the war and was like, if you ever need a place, if you're ever in trouble, I got your back.

So, people claim that maybe she went there.

But it turns out that the spa, and the spa was frequented by Germans, but it was actually confiscated once Argentina decided to ally themselves with the allied forces.

So, if the government owned it, right.

I mean, because it's going to be a year, I guess, before Evita's husband, the sympathizer, takes over.

So, that probably doesn't really track.

I feel like, I mean, he was spotted a lot of different places.

That's what I mean.

It makes it harder, though, for me to believe it, because I just want six people to be like, I saw them in the same place.

It sounds like everybody's making it up.

A French reporter.

To be the one to have credit.

Yeah, there was a French reporter in Brazil who said he was invited to a dinner party at a hotel where he claims he saw Hitler.

And Eva, as well as other former Nazi officers, he tried to take photos, but was forbidden and asked to leave.

He witnessed people doing the Nazi salute and determined this was likely a community of former Nazis in hiding.

Apparently, the US investigated this and they were like, actually, that that source was a Nazi spy.

And so we think he was just trying to stir up that.

Yeah.

In 1948, a Quebec couple saw him in their hotel that they were staying in.

And then there was also a bunch of...

How many of these people were crazy?

Inebriated.

They were like, that looks like Hitler.

And then it just became like, it is.

Hitler is in a ranch in Argentina, which a lot of these do come up that whether he got there by U-boat or by plane or whatever, that eventually he had to ride a horse.

Could he have ridden a horse with his health issues?

I don't know, but he rode this horse to like this ranch and that's where he is.

That's what I'm thinking.

If his doctor didn't make it with him, he's going to die of withdrawal.

Right.

This man's been on our barbiturates.

And then we've got that he's living underground under a ranch in Argentina, that he is in Switzerland because he couldn't be bothered to learn a foreign language.

Here we go.

Jones claims she saw a man who looks especially like Hitler in Charlottesville, Virginia.

And then there's someone who's like, oh, I sat next to him in New York City at a restaurant.

Probably just brunette men.

Someone's being treated or something with a bad mustache.

Someone's being treated by a Spanish doctor and someone said he's being treated by a Spanish doctor in Spain.

He's working as a butler.

No, never.

He bought a farm in North Carolina.

He was on a train to Chicago from New Orleans, staying at this hotel in Quebec.

The owner's called.

Where he's all credited in the 1900s, like all these witnesses.

He's staying at a rooming house of an old lady in DC.

Or he's in St.

Louis, Missouri, where Colleen doesn't ever want to go, No, St.

Louis.

I'm so St.

Louis.

Asked my tattooie.

I was like the waterfall.

So I don't know what, like, We can do it.

Right.

So what do you guys think?

I might kind of my one more thought here is that he did.

We know we have the resources, right?

He had body doubles.

He had supporters.

We know that they had unlimited financial resources.

They had stolen all of these.

They had the Nazi gold, a hundred billion dollars worth of Nazi gold.

Most of it had been sent overseas to 90 different front companies.

Wait, wait, wait.

I'm confused.

Is it real?

It's all Jewish people's money.

The Nazi gold is real.

Did we find a train full of Nazi gold and use that to fund the US government?

That's a conspiracy.

It's not Nazi gold.

It's things stolen from the Jews.

I knew that at the beginning.

And again, I just want to reiterate, it was mostly Jewish, but there were a lot of victims.

And so they had access to this money.

A lot of that money went to Argentina.

Again, we know that Argentina went to America.

I think he definitely escaped.

Where he escaped to, I don't really know.

I mean, there's a lot of proven Germans in South America, so I really wouldn't be surprised if he went there.

But he doesn't give the vibe that he spoke Spanish.

Because there's a big German community there, so people speak German.

I would say I agree, like he probably, like I'm like, did he just like pop some of his teeth out and leave it?

He definitely escaped.

And then escaped, but where did he go?

And then it sounds like if you were to believe that all those sightings are true, he just lived his life like a gypsy.

And traveled, and know that.

Right, just like in transit.

That's what he had to do.

Like if you're an escapee.

Well, here's kind of what I'm having.

So I will say the other thing is too, that he did have, I didn't mention this note, he did have his own personal pilots at his own personal planes.

Oh my God.

And so Hans Bauer was his personal pilot, and they did see him fly into Berlin on April 26 and back out on April 29th.

Just a side note.

Again, I think there's no question he had the resources to do it.

Oh yeah.

I think that the bigger question would be, like I was reading, I think it might have been on Reddit.

I wish I had written down where I read this, but somebody was comparing it to like, the United States has a near 100% success rate on what is protection program.

And the few people that-

Yeah, were people who like, contacted someone from their past, okay?

And could this guy really, could Hitler, who we know was a power hungry narcissist, probably with like a borderline personality disorder, could he really just go hide out in Argentina for two decades and keep to himself?

And like, wouldn't you think he'd be planning like, a comeback or like, strategizing?

Or like, did he have the personality that he was like, I could just, I'm just going to chill out.

Disappear and like, go underground?

Probably, especially, no.

I would assume no, especially his borderline personality.

Like, or any type of like, that sort of narcissistic borderline.

He would not be able to tell people what he did.

Maybe he escaped for like, a little bit and then died of withdrawal.

Like, there was nothing ever.

And they're saying like, if he really had syphilis, did he have access to antibiotics?

I mean, was that going to come out?

I feel like he escaped and died.

A lot of people are saying also that, so his, Eva Braun, like I said, was a professional photographer, and you can find so much photography and video footage that she took of like, during the war of Hitler and his buddies.

And like, would she be able to just stop taking pictures?

Because again, those would have been purposed up.

Oh, I think he definitely.

I don't think she made the escape of them.

No, I think she died.

He probably purposely killed her.

He definitely killed her and the dog.

Yeah, I think if he were to have planned like his own death, he would have taken her out.

Most of the people who do think he made it out agree that he probably died in like the 1970s at a minimum.

But that he definitely was not in great health at the end of the war.

Like, what if he really did like make it out?

No, and there are the people who, again, I think the people who allegedly were there, specifically like his valet, I wrote their names down, I mean, they've been questioned extensively, and it sounds like they weren't just in like a cushy prison, like they were getting interrogated nonstop.

I feel like these people probably would have rolled over on each other, you know what I mean?

At some point, someone would have been like, immediately.

We didn't really do it.

Immediately, yeah.

But I wanted to tell you a side story about how we helped fund the Nazi party.

Specifically, I want to talk about the Dulles brothers because we've talked about them before.

Yes.

So I think I incorrectly, shocker, incorrectly spoke before when I said that Dulles Airport was named for the head of the CIA.

It was actually named for his brother, John Foster Dulles, who was the Secretary of State.

But before these two, so it's Alan Dulles, goes on to become the head of CIA.

He's the one JFK fires over Bay of Pigs.

And we have John Foster Dulles, Secretary of State.

Before they both, you want to talk about some NEPO babies, guys.

Yep.

They were the children of some high ranking political people.

They both get these appointments like at like 23, like fresh out of college, these massive roles.

Okay.

They are very privileged.

They're both lawyers for Wall Street firm Sullivan and Cromwell.

And during World War II, John Foster Dulles, who again, goes on to become Secretary of State.

He worked closely with the Nazis.

He even avoided taking Jewish clients on.

Okay.

And what else?

It sounds like they're both very kind of conservative, very religious.

Alan Dulles was very much a narcissist.

He cheated on his wife all the time and bragged to his wife about it.

And they said, like, if he dropped his napkin, he would just sit there until like a servant picked it up for him.

He was just like a terrible person.

These brothers were both very religious.

But as opposed to his brother, John Foster Dulles, he really followed the Bible interpretation to like a T.

So he was married.

He was loyal to his wife.

Sounds like neither of these guys was very good to their kids, really involved in their kid's life.

Different age of dads back then, though.

So in April 1933, Alan Dulles, who goes on to be the head of CIA, he met with Hitler.

And after the meeting, he writes back to his brother Foster and is like, you know what?

Conditions under Hitler's regime, quote, are not quite as bad.

Are you kidding me?

As an alarmist friend had indicated.

And then John Foster Dulles met with a bunch of his German-Jewish banker friends in Germany who expressed fears for their life and told them they were being monitored.

Like he's like, they were like, see that truck out there?

They're listening to us and they're like afraid for their lives.

And but instead of helping them, he's like, you know what?

I think we should probably kind of like avoid the situation altogether.

And people are like, you know, people who had money were able to get Jewish people out.

Like, yeah, like Hitler let rich Jewish people leave for a fee.

Of course, because he just wanted them out of their country.

Right.

So like you would think that's not the solution, but why would you just abandon your friend?

So John Foster Douglas, again, I said these are like their lawyers, John Foster Douglas advised cartels.

So they would form these like conglomerates of companies that would share resources and control outsiders access, thereby increasing demand for certain products, decreasing the quality of the products and increasing the cost to buyers.

So for example, JF Dulles brought a German nickel company into this cartel.

So there was like a United States nickel company, a Canadian nickel company, a French nickel company.

And then he's like, Germans come join us.

And if he had not done that, the Nazis would not have had the resources to build up their government or the money to start the Nazi movement.

And then I will say, so Alan did meet with Hitler again in 1985, at which point he reported back that he had a very sinister impression about the whole thing.

But it sounds like he was much more concerned about an impending war with the United States than he was about like the travesties that were happening.

Right.

Right.

So anyway, there was like, we can really blame these two brothers who sound like they were kind of dicks who went on to be like pretty important people in our history.

Right.

And we can really, if it weren't for them, there might not have even been like a Nazi.

Oh my gosh.

Also, all that money.

Ford, Ford had a contract with the Nazis to supply trucks to them.

Oh my gosh.

GM, they were really opposed to the New Deal, and they kind of were an admirer of Hitler's financial plan.

So they opened, they moved factories to Germany.

When those factories were bombed during the war, the United States wrote them a check for $32 million.

Oh my goodness.

Kodak continued to purchase goods from Nazi Germany and import them to the United States.

Swiss banks, we know, laundered money, hundreds of millions of dollars.

Coca-Cola, hate to say it, Diet Coke.

Oh no.

So Coca-Cola, there was like, again, this trade embargo.

So they were like, man, we can't get like Coca-Cola to sell in Germany.

So they rebranded and they created Fanta.

And so Fanta is a part of Coca-Cola, but it was like, okay, this, we can sell Fanta in Germany.

And they had to use available ingredients.

This is why Fanta is like, on all of Fanta flavors, is so much bigger in Europe.

Maybe.

But do you know what they use to make Fanta?

It sounds, have you had it?

The orange soda?

I mean, I think it would taste kind of like an orange soda.

No, they were like, we have to use whatever we can get access to.

So they used leftover apple cores from the cider industry in Germany.

And whey from cheese production, because it all comes back to the cheese.

So Coca-Cola, we can blame them for helping the Nazi economy.

And then guys, guys, IBM.

What's IBM?

They were like the original computer.

They're like in engineering, like big computer engineering.

It was in Charlotte, like there's a ton of like people, all my friends' parents worked at IBM.

So, but they used, they supplied the Nazis with accounting equipment, and they used their equipment to do, to perform the German census, which they used to identify groups.

That they didn't want.

So thanks, IBM.

Megan, did Hitler ever have incestuous children?

This is also, I don't know about incestuous, but children in general.

Here, he did not have children with the daughter niece.

With the daughter niece.

The half niece.

She went insane and lost herself.

Correct.

But there is kind of some, so like some of these documentaries that I was like, I can't even talk about these in this podcast, because they just seem so poorly done.

They're like acting like he had like a daughter or something.

So I was like, what is the story there?

So I was also intrigued.

Now, there was this guy, Gene Marie Lorette.

He was a Frenchman.

And he came out and said he was Hitler's son, that his mom, a Frenchman, Charlotte, she birthed him.

She gave him up for adoption.

She was very young.

I think she was like 16, but they had a relationship.

And she said, by the way, your dad is Hitler.

The complex I would have.

And actually, look, that's his picture.

Doesn't it kind of look like...

It does kind of look like Hitler.

I thought he was celibate.

That's the question.

If he was so judgy about everybody, do you think he was really out there sleeping with a 16-year-old girl during World War I?

Probably.

It does kind of look like that.

It does look like him.

And again, this guy like profited.

He wrote a book, and I think this guy went on to...

Did he take a DNA test?

So this guy dies in 1985 at age 67.

Again, he's published a book.

I think he had like nine children of his own.

So it's like, oh man, the Hitler lineages.

Or like it's Hitler legacy.

And then someone finally does a DNA test.

And he's not a Hitler son.

He is not Hitler's son.

Of course he's not.

His mom was probably nuts.

And then there is some rumors online.

Where she was like the 16-year-old girl who the guy was like, I'm Hitler.

And she believed him.

Yeah, and she believed him.

I mean, it said that she and this alleged baby daddy, Hitler, whoever the baby daddy was, was a soldier.

They did not, she spoke French.

He spoke German.

And so they would just go on walks and couldn't really communicate with each other.

And then they had too much to drink one night.

Oops.

How'd that get in there?

It's like, hey, he doesn't drink.

He's celibate.

And maybe they all look the same to her.

You know what I mean?

There's a lot of German soldiers.

So maybe she really believed it.

Or he just said, I'm Hitler.

And she believed him.

And she had never seen him before.

Maybe.

And was like, oh, okay.

And then suddenly she was like, wait, this guy named Hitler's crazy.

There was also, so again, I could not find anywhere where there's any evidence that Hitler ever actually had children of his own.

He does have a lot of half siblings.

And there's a lot of stuff or there's a lot of rumors online that like they took a blood pack that none of them were going to reproduce because like they wanted to end the Hitler line.

It sounds like that is not true.

Wait, who moved on his mom or his dad?

Because I think he had mommy issues.

He did have mommy issues.

I know this.

Yeah, he did have a nephew who despised him.

He had a pro-Nazi nephew, Heinz, but he was killed in war.

Pro-Nazi, but anti-Hitler.

How does that work?

His anti-Nazi nephew joined the Allies and fought on the American side and had forethought after the war ended.

And it says that one of those sons died in a car crash.

The other three never married or had children.

But there's no evidence that any of that was like a a pact they made might have just been the case.

There's always something good for a documentary.

But he does have a lot of God.

I would do it.

But he did have a lot of half siblings and some of them have grandchildren.

So there are people who are, it says, as far as they know about 25 known descendants of Hitler's father.

That answers that question.

But as far as we can tell, no kids for Hitler.

What a shame.

Too bad.

The poll is no, Hitler died in that room.

He, you know, took a bullet to the brain and then was torched.

And his teeth are the only thing that remained of him.

The second answer is he has escaped and he lived his days out as a gypsy.

And every single sighting is true.

And then the third answer is he escaped, but didn't last long because the man, yeah.
