Hello and welcome to the creaking saltsoap tables of the brazenhydro pup in a bill of water. We're your hosts, I'm Grovan. Conquest. And today we'll be sharing a pint andtalking all things Runeterra and beyond.Alright, so the first thing I want totalk about, and the thingthat keeps me up at night,it keeps me tossing and turning in bed, Iwant to talk about thebig beds of Runeterra.Who are we going to see in the dungeons?Who are we going to see in the raids?Who's going to give us a problem? Andthen I want to talk aboutwho's going to be our navigators.People are going to help us explore thedifferent areas and the zones.Yeah, we're going to need that actuallynow that I think about it.Yeah, and then we'll talk about a littlebit of design and what wethink about those differentbosses and how they maybe should approachthem in the ride of them all.Oh, okay. I like that. I like it. There'sa lot to talk about here actually.Oh my goodness. Yeah.Alright, you all startwith who I guide first.Who I do big beds are.Oh, you want to do big beds first?Alright, let's do big beds.Okay, so obviously we havethe Watchers in the Frolljord. So if you don't know who the Watchersare, the Watchers are beings of the void. And they're frozen at the bottom of theHowling Abyss in the Frolljord. They're trapped with true ice. So trueice, just think aboutit as ice, but truer.Okay, this is betterice. This is strong ice. This is good ice. It's not dry ice.Yeah, premium ice.Yeah, this is like hardice. Okay, it doesn't melt.Oh, wow.Even on a warm summer's day in Frolljord.Yeah, I know what you're thinking. Whywould ice melt in Frolljord? But this ice extra doesn't melt.Oh, alright. Good to know.Yeah, and you have like the icebornepeople like, you know, Brahm. So he's like iceborne. Only iceborne canwield true ice because anyone else thattouches choice willliterally be in pain from it.Oh, like physical pain.Oh, yeah. Imagine some like dry ice levelstuff. Like that's gonna make me hurt.Like, you know, Brahm can literally walkaround the Frolljordshirtless and looking great.Yeah, dude's wild.Yeah, but anyone else walks around theFrolljord shirtless that's hypothermia.Wow. I know there was a canon reason.Yeah, yeah. Why Brahm can beshirtless in the Frolljord. He feels no cold. Well, that's wild. They feel cold, but notlike the same level as us.Like in order for them to feel cold, likeBrahm would need to be shirtlessin the howling abyss, like towards thebottom where itstarts getting really cold. Then he'll start feeling.Yeah, he just has like a big resistance.Yeah, resistance. That'sthe right way to put it.Okay, the Watchers. This true iceliterally came from the Watchers.Like it's almost like almost of the void.So that may besomething we explore later. But the Watchers are creatures of thevoid who got into our world. They're not even supposed to be in ourworld. They wereasleep, you know, in the void,in the nothing. And then they woke up tolike a little bit of light, which ended up beingRuneterra, our world.Yeah, creation.Yeah, which bothered them, pissed themoff. They're like, I'mtrying to sleep here. What's this light doing here? Veryannoying. And so they're like, well, I'mgoing to destroy thatlight. Wow.Which, wow. We'll talk, this will linkback to another big bedthat we talk about later.Okay.Although not that bad, but bad.So essentially, one of the biggest, baddest, most primordial forcesthat's against us is justtrying to go back to sleep.Yes.And we just woke them up by existing.Yeah, yeah. We are basically, if you'retrying, they were trying tosleep and we just shine thelight in their eyes. And we're just like, you can't sleep. And theyliterally can't sleep anymore.Like, yeah, we're just like shining alight in their eyes. Andthen so this isn't really thefull Watchers. They were coming into ouruniverse, our material plane, thematerial plane of existence.Via Lissandra, who was, who's like, therewas a huge war between the three sisters. There's Everosa, Sarrota, and Lissandra. They're from the Freljord. If you know Lissandra is,she had two sisters. The two sisters, thelore is a little bitsketchy here because we don'tactually know the true lore because it'sso long ago. And all weknow is what Lissandra told us.So this is a, like an unreliable source.Yeah, we ain't sure.Yeah, yeah.Yeah, yeah. This is a, I heard it from a friend and afriend to the Victor's GoThe Spoilers kind of thing, like Victor's Right History.Dude, that's the best kind of lore.Between that and the Noxus timeline, Ilove that kind of stuff.Yeah, bro. Yeah, that's great. It's one of my favoritethings. It's the Watchers. Then the story is, the short story iscalled The Watchers, I think. But so Lissandra basically sacrificedeveryone. She releasedThe Watchers into our world. And then she decided, like, "Okay, thisis really bad. They'regoing to destroy all existence. We may have messed up here." And then shebasically sacrifices all the armies, literally even her sisters, to refreezeThe Watchers at thebottom of the Howling Abyss. And now they're literally in the world, frozen. If you go downto the Howling Abyss,if you search Howling Abyss right now, you'll see a picture of an eyethat's the cover of the shortstory of the Howling Abyss, which is likean hour long. It's a longshort story. It's not veryshort. But they're literally alive downthere. They're awake. They're conscious?Yeah, they're there. They're justchilling, waiting for thetrue ice to just weaken, enough for them to break free. That is the perfect setup for a big badto show up on Runeterra and wreak havoc. That's one of the reasons why I sayFrolljord should notbe included at launch.Yeah, absolutely not now, actually.Especially after that.I don't know. It can definitely be like,Frolljord, I thinkthis is a perfect startingzone for a new expansion later on, wherewe can really focus on allthe little details about theFrolljord. And then of course, we betterbe able to stand on top ofthat true ice and look down.I don't know. I don't know about thatone. Because literallyonly iceborn are able to gothat deep. If you read this story, they're all iceborn, theones that are going down there. And because literally anyone else, firstof all, would not be ableto... They're extra strong. They're not just resistant to cold.Although that's enoughto make them special.Yeah, they have some extra endurance. They're even more special. They're alsoresistant to exhaustion.Because they're literally climbing downto the deepest point onearth by hand with grapplinghooks.Yeah. But I don't think we'll ever godown there. Maybe we will. Somehow, youknow what would be cool? What? A crafting profession. So Ornn islike a huge crafter in theFrolljord. Imagine we go toOrnn, we learn how to craft true ice.Yeah, yeah. And then we use that tocreate armor that makes usa little bit resistant to the cold sidewe can climb down to the Howling Abyss.I like the half of the dumb point, right? We have to go down toHowling Abyss at some point. That would be really cool. Oh my god.Just came up with that. That would be insanely cool. The old nog in there.Oh, because that's way too cool of like alandmark to not see it in game. That's true. That's true. It's prettyiconic. The eyes tearing up.Yeah, dude. And that's another thing. Allright, MMOs, you needa big looming threat. You need something that is just alwaysyou don't really it's not always there. You don't always seeit. But it is always there. You know whatI mean? Yeah, you feel it.You feel that looming giantforce that you don't know how how theheck you're going to beat it.You want to feel how big and looming itis. Okay, so look at the Freljord, right? There's the Howling Abyss is at like atthe top right corner. Okay. And when he goes down there,by the way, these things have multipleeyes. Like they're not like us, you know,it's not a representation of us. Theylook completelydifferent, multiple arms, whatever. They're just like like like like aLovecraftian. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Picture Cthulhu.Yeah. These guys are crazy. Okay, his eyeis in the Freljord, right?Mm hmm. Okay. But then if you go down toAcathia, the other side of the incompletemap that we see today, which isincomplete, I've said it, it'sincomplete. It's incomplete. It's not complete. Okay. Okay. All theway down in Acathia. That'swhere they released the voidagain there, right? Okay, how but theyare also the reason they also controlthese creatures downhere. They're able to control them likethey are like hive mindtype thing like they're like anextension of Yeah, the watchers controlall of them except forthere's like, there's one that Iforget the name. It was one that theycan't really control. Ihave to look up the name again.A little rebellion. Yeah, yeah. She'slike different. Like sheconsumed a whole societyand stuff. And I got her name, Belvith. Iremember her now. Okay.We don't know for sure.If she's controlled, but we, according tolore that we have rightnow, she's not. But like thatcould be who that could be a great way.Yeah, like, Hey, I'm gonnahelp you guys with this threat. We need to unite together to fight thisbigger threat justmomentarily. And then she portrays us.Yeah, I wonder how that is that she'sgonna be really cool. Butokay, you see his eye up thereand he's able to control the literally acat the void born downhere that are of the watchers.Yeah. So how big is this thing? And howspread out is it under theworld? Oh, my god. I alwaysassumed like from this example is I likehis influence, you know,is able to spread down here. You're suggesting physically, the dudespreads across the entiremap from the top of Freljordto the bottom of Shurima. I think here'swhat I think. I thinkthere's multiple watchers. Right. And I don't think that them they'rephysical because theirphysical form really didn't makeit all the way in. Before Lissandrafrozen, like they were just kind ofemerging and railing againstexistence. It was like a crazy painfulthing for them to come into existence.Yeah. Like all theirsensations were firing all at the sametime. Because they wereliterally of nothing. Yeah.So I don't think they grew to their fullform. But if we look at thevoid, the void kind of liketendrils, you know, like roots, likeunder the planet. Yeah. So Ifeel like maybe that they'respreading under Runeterra, like theycan't go up because it'sice. And so they're spreadingunder Runeterra. And that's why they'reable to influence all theway down here in the Cathie andthe Voidborn. That would be very cool.Yeah. Oh, my god. I really like thatidea. And then, yeah,we can like slowly find out going intolike the deep places of theearth where that's in likeIshtal or like Damacia or wherever wefind these like deep roots.I would love to see it almoststart in Zaun. Really? Yeah, I feel likethat's a great segue intoFreljord. Like we're in Zaun.Like this is the Zaun expansion. We gotEcho leading our wayexploring around. We get to thebottom. Like we're in the sump level. This is the final level inthe tangent. And then we seea little traces of Void. And that like,or it could be Targon. We're in the Mariah territory.Already have links to the Void, by theway. There's links to theVoid as well. They're underwater. And then we get like the end of thatTargon expansion. We'rein the Mariah territory andthere we see little hints of the Voidsomewhere that. Oh, my god, dude. Yeah, yeah. And we're like,oh, my god, how far does this thing?Yeah, dude. Like, oh, no, it's this hasalready been going onfor how long now? We're just nownoticing. Yep. Oh, that'd be really cool.See, that'd be awesome.Like just to see, okay, now it's a greatsegue into, okay, we haveto go figure out what thehell is going on in Freljord. Yeah, yeah, dude. Yeah, I want to befighting like the Void andtheir influence all over the place. Evenif it's just like littlepockets here and there, you know, but they're still like dangerous. They'restill doing damageeverywhere. Yeah, yeah.So then that way, when we do inevitablygo to the Freljord, it'sgoing to be like, oh, my god, this is it. Like all this time we've beendefending, now we're actually going toconfront them. Yeah. And that's that should be a terrifyingexperience. This whole timewe've been fighting insects, like little flies of the Void. Yeah, wewere actually making adent. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And then we'll take the fight to themonce we go to Freljord, werealize how like, oh, my god, insignificant everything we've done isthat we always say we needthat sense of scale. Yeah. That sense of scale for how pointlesseverything is. Yeah, yeah. Iwant to feel very small. I wantto feel very small. That goes back tolike, I don't want flying because I wantthe world to feel bigand I want to feel small in the world.Yeah, yeah. I want to taketime to cross like to go fromNoxus to Ishtal. I want them to take sometime. Yeah, exactly. Iwant to see Piltover off inthe distance and be like, oh, my god, amI going there to get toIshtal? And then you run throughPiltover. It's like an amazing just likethis awesome golden city. And then all of a suddenyou're heading into a lush jungle, youknow, and all of that takeslike a solid like five minutes.Yeah, I think there's I want to taketime. I think flight paths arefine. Oh, me too. Definitely.Once once you've explored an area, youknow, you get that flightpath, you can always go back toit. Yeah, like if you okay, you're inNoxus, you don't want to have to,although that run doessound beautiful. Honestly, the way youdescribe it, it made mewant to do it. But yeah, dude, later on after you've done it, okay, thenyou have a flight path, youcan fly from Noxus to Ishtal.Yeah, if you're not Demacian. Yeah, ifyou're not Demacian, you'reDemacian, you're killing theflight, the flight guy. Yeah, then youknow, no one in Noxus can fly out. Yeah, those are the rules.Because yeah, I like that because even aflight path is still likeyou're able to see the sights, you know, you're seeing everything belowyou. But then you're alsoonly going to like a generalarea in Ishtal, you're probably not goingexactly to where you want to go inIshtal. You're probablystill going to have to run a little bitto get to that specificcalendar village outside ofthe capital. That's why I like it. I feellike it's limited, youknow, you're getting close towhere you want to go. Yeah, you're notmaking the same run overand over again. Exactly. It's a freaking Ishtal. Yeah, but unlessyou're like, you know, you're doingprofessions, you wantto do the runs, maybe you can do someprogress out of the way, that kind ofthing. Yeah, there's stilla reason to. And you're still doing somerunning around and theflight path should hopefully stilllike take time. You know, it shouldn't befast. It should just like theadvantage that you're flyingover like the mountains, you know, youdon't have to run acrossthose anymore. Yeah, exactly. The flight path is still just a nice slowjourney. You still feelthat that sense of, oh my god, this is like a large landmass I'mcrossing. I was thinking about boats, right? But the one thingthat I don't like about boats is I don'tlike the loading screens.Yeah, I feel like when you do,like, let's say you're flying from Noxus, you're going on a boat ridefrom Noxus to Targon. Okay, but now that that boat's going to likeyou go out to the map andthere's little red dots thatshow you go to Targon that you just loadin. But I prefer a flightpath where it's just like, okay, it's not going to take that longand you're flying, but I feellike a boat is a longer ride. And so requires that like you coulddefinitely. Yeah, I agree. Ithink yeah, you can go to like,I would say like Bilgewater, you know, from like Ishta. Yeah, fromlike Ishta or like lower Noxus.Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. You can easilytake a ship and that shipactually like you were actuallygoing there in real time. I think that'dbe awesome. You savemoney, you don't have to buy,you don't have to pay. It's like a ferry.Yeah, yeah. I think thatwould be really sick. Same withlike Ionia is not too far off, I wouldthink. Yeah, it'd be alonger boat ride. There is aflight path, but then you could also likeyour first time and youcould take a boat. Yeah, your first time's taking the boat. Yeah,or if you just want tolike save money, I guess.I think that could be cool. Just toexperience that at leastonce. I think it's worth it todevelop that kind of thing. But other bigthreats, we kind of pivoted off of that.Yeah, we went on a bit of a tangentthere. I mean, that'swhat we do here. We pivot,we rant about on the mo's. We really gotlost though. I honestlyforgot that we were talkingabout big beds. But big beds, I caneasily segue from theWatchers to the second. I think,I personally think the greatest, thebiggest threat toRuneterra is not the Watchers.Really? Yes. And the biggest threat iswhat I'm about toname. And he is the reasonthat the Watchers were pissed from thebeginning. Oh, because his name isAurelion Sol. The StarForger of Aragon. The creator. Yeah, yeah. It was this dude'slight that woke up the Watchers inthe first place. Aurelion Sol was born inthe first breath of thecreation. He's called theStar Forger because he literally makesstars. Okay. And thenthose stars produced light. Andthen the Watchers were like, what theheck is this light? And so I could seeAurelion Sol and theWatchers having beef. And they actuallyhave fought in the past.Yeah, the Watchers coming, but they were coming. Here's what you gotto remember that fight, which I don't know if youguys are aware of or not, but either way,Aurelion Sol fought the Watchers. Butthere was the Watchersin our realm. So I don't know if AurelionSol could fight theWatchers in the void. Like there,he's able to fight them here. I don'tthink he's able to fight them there. AndAurelion Sol actuallydid feel fear when he looked at them intothe void. And I don't wantto, I remember reading that.I need to go back and confirm it, but Iremember reading it thatAurelion Sol actually felt alittle bit of fear when he looked at themin the void. But so that'show like, yeah, the Watchersare in the void. Yeah. Like yeah, yeah.Yeah. They're like in theirterritory, in their element,he probably would not last very long.Exactly. Because here, he has theadvantage and he canactually like push them back. Oh man, that's cool. But the thingis why I, why Aurelion Solis not on our side is because of somestuff that happened in thepast. Yeah. Yeah. There's somebeef. Yeah. And this is why I think he'sthe biggest threat toRuneteros because he's in ourplane of existence. Like the Watchers, okay, parts of them arethrough and they're in, they'rereally, their main form is in the void.Aurelion Sol can literally fight theWatchers here and he's,he's much like the void, the Watchers areon Runeterra. Yeah.Runeterra as a planet is prettyinsignificant to Aurelion Sol. Yeah. It'sjust another rock. Yeah. Hecan destroy the whole planetif he wanted to. So let's keep that inmind when we're talkingabout threats to Runeterra. We have a dude that looks at us as aspeck. Yeah. Because a lot of peoplewould say the biggestthreat to the Runeterra is the void andthe Watchers. But AurelionSol has like a simmering, fuming hatred for Runeterra because, sohe created all these suns and theneventually he sees, oh,like there's this random planet aroundthe, that's orbiting one ofthe suns that I made a long timeago. And the other aspects who are likeAurelion Sol, he doesn'treally care for them. He thinkshonestly, like they're, they're prettystupid. Yeah. He's like, they just kind of talk and thinkabout stuff while he's like creating thecosmos. Yeah. It's like, oh,the funny little creatures.Yes. How adorable. Yeah. Like aspects,he's like whatever. But then the aspectswere really investedin Runeterra for some reason. And so theytold them, oh, you know, come closer, come look atthis planet. And so he comes down and hesees like these fledglingcivilizations on Runeterraand he's like, oh, okay. Well, and thenthey start, they're,they're like, it's kind of a,they're asking for guidance almost likethey're just like naivelittle creatures. And the aspectstell them, so he comes down in like theform of a vast and terribledragon and they're like, oh,wow. And he's immediately like, he's kindof amused by it. Like he hasno animosity towards Runeterra.Yeah. And then the other aspects tell thepeople from Runeterra to create a crownfor him as like a gift for the creator oftheir son. Oh, yeah. Andthey call him like the light, you know, because he literally createdthe sun for their world. So they create a crown, but the second he wears it, it literallyclamps onto his head, throwshim all the way back to thepoint where he can't get close toRuneterra. Then the other aspects sent, set the people of Runeterrainto creating the sun disc, which thensteals Aurelion's soul'spower. He's aware of this.Like these little tiny creatures areliterally stealing my powerfrom this sun disc and thenusing them to create these ascendedbeings in Shurima to fightsome some war in the future thathe doesn't even know about, which ends upbeing this war with theKathy on the void. But so that'swhy he's like, oh my God, like these guysliterally entrapped me, putthis crown on my head, threw meall the way back. Now all my stars aredying because I can't getanywhere near this area whereRuneterra is. So the stars around thereare dying that I createdbecause I can't maintain them. Andthey're stealing my power for the sundisc. So he like literally, that's why he says, you know,Targon losing your grip because they'relosing the power of his crown isweakening. And the secondthat power fades, he's going to come backand just destroy. Yeah, he'sjust gonna poke us and we'llexplode. Exactly. We're less than the tipof Aurelion's soul'sfingernail. Yeah. Oh my God.So yeah. Okay. I was always wondering howthe heck Shurima was early.Yeah. Shurima and Targon werepowerful enough to build a crown thatcould go on this guy'shead, like basically a god.I wonder that too. It doesn't really makesense. But I'm guessing it's with thehelp of the aspects, right? Yep, exactly. Because I think theaspects are like people whoare even remotely powerfulenough to do anything like that toAurelion's soul. The aspects are reallyinvolved in Runeterra.Like all of these, when you look at likeTarek or Leona or Diana, like these are ascended peoplefrom Targon, but they're not ascendedlike the same way in Shurimawhere they were being ascendedfrom the power of Aurelion's soul.Literally an aspectimbues them with their essence.Like they're almost being controlled bythe aspect. Oh wow. Yeah.Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They'rebound to their will. Yeah. Depending onthe aspect, like someaspects, it's almost like a buddyrelationship. Other aspects, they kind ofjust, okay, you can use mypower. And then some of themare just like, uh, this is me and I'm,this is me and I'm takingover like Pantheon. When heformed, when he merged with his aspect, cause you do this when you climb to thepeak of Mount Tarekon, you, you like an aspect will sometimesmeet you and like bond with you. Oh,okay. But Pantheon'saspect is like the aspect of war. And sohe's like, well, I'm justgoing to take you and I'll dowhatever I want. Oh wow. Yeah. So he'slike, like direct influence. LikePantheon can't even likedisagree. It's like literally he iscontrolling him. That's how itwas until the, the darken warwhere Pantheon who was being controlledgot like stabbed in thechest and was literally about todie. And uh, this is by Etrox and thenPantheon, the original guywho was inside Pantheon cameforth. And so basically he's just himselfnow with all this power ofthe aspects. Oh, he's pissed. He doesn't like the aspects. Yeah, I'msure after, uh, being taken over, I meanthe climb to Tarekonis not an easy task. This dude is hopingfor a good blessing andhe got screwed over. Yeah,I think I remember he did it with likehis friend and his friend died. Oh God.Wow. After all that,he gets screwed over by this freakingaspect of war. Yeah. He pretty much justgot like the aspectscame into him and then he wakes up withlike a Etrox's sword in his chest. Ohwow. Oh, it literallylike possessed. Yeah, yeah, literallypossessed. So I don't know ifeveryone else, I don't thinkeveryone else is like that much. Yeah.Obviously we don't know forsure, but I think that it's,you know, some of them are more, Diana ismore like a 50 50 withLeona and then like some ofthem are just like, uh, I feel like maybeZoe is more huge to have mypower. Yeah. Yeah. Becauseshe's just like a kid does whatever shewants. Oh, that's cool. Yeah.I know. I'm sure all of themare like influenced to some extent bytheir aspects. Exactly.Pantheon is just an extreme caseof that. Yeah. Yeah. Cause his, hisaspect particularly ispretty like was pretty, uh,violent. Yeah. And like, I'm going tofight you because that's mything. Oh man. Wow. Do youthink the aspect of war could be aproblem later on? I don't know. I don'tknow if he's, I thinkhe might be dead. He might be dead. Oh,after you think he gotstabbed, that was like, I have to,I feel like, yeah, I have to look up theexact lore for it, but I'mpretty sure like he died inthat moment. That's why Pantheon comesback. Yeah. The actualperson who like was. Yeah. Theoriginal Pantheon. Yeah. The original guyis actually back. Ohwow. Oh my God. So like thiswhole time in lore, all of Pantheon'slike dialogue and things like that is notreally him. We don'tactually know Pantheon. Yeah. Yeah. A lotof that dialogue wasn't himuntil much later, until afterthat moment, then it was actually him.Dude, this is like, um, what'sit called? Book four of HarryPotter, Mad Eye Moody. That's what thisgobbled a fire. We thinkhe's such a cool dude. And thenbook five were like, Oh yeah, we don'tknow this dude at all. Wedon't know anything about him.Anything before the darkened war. But wedo, we do see him again, like incinematics and stuffafter the darkened war. Um, like when hegoes up, if you watch, there's acinematic where he goesup, he's fighting on top of Mount Targonagainst Leona. That's him.Like he is not a fan. He wantsto like just expose this whole thing andjust destroy it. All theaspects, like everything, this being possessed by like he, hedoesn't see Leona and Diana and all theother people in Targonas allies. He thinks that I don't, Ithink he's like almostlike an enemy to the aspects.Okay. I mean, yeah, I'm sure each of theaspects have like their ownkind of like, yeah, ambitions, but it seems like, yeah, the aspect ofwar is especially likehe's doing his own thing.Yeah. He's just a human now with thepower of the aspect of war.Yeah. Oh my God. So I have to see, like, has there been anythinglately about him being justhim now? Like who he is as a person? Ihave to look, I have tolook. Honestly, I know thatthere's been like, there's stuff of himafterward after the fact, but I don'tthink it's as extensiveas it is before leading up to it. Yeah.Oh my God. Cause now it'slike, dude, we, he better be a cooldude. Yeah. Oh, that's so interesting. Ohmy God. We'll have to seewhere that goes. I mean,we better see him in the MMO. Jeez. Imean, he's either going to be veryhelpful. He's going to bea raid boss. So yeah, exactly. He doesget possessed by Viegoat some point and kind ofdoes turn into a little bit of a raidboss, but that's a whole other problem. We're not there yet. We're not there. He's been possessedtwice. Yeah. It's a problem. That is aproblem. He needs tolearn something. Okay. I think that's onhim now. Yeah, kind of.Oh man. So like, all right, back to just general threats, comparingAurelian soul to thewatchers. Do you think the watchersis going to be like any kind of early onthreat? Cause I assumeAurelian souls me way after likethe watchers, right? Yeah. Just in termsof like power scaling, like obviouslythey could do Aureliansoul first, but it just like when itmakes sense to power scaling. But I feellike the watchers isstill such a massive threat that they canbe like one of the firstthreats that we face, other thanthe fact that we'll see them cropping upeverywhere. I like to neverreach the point where we'reactually defeating. Like I think I agreewith that. Like we have to go in and reimprison the watchers. And then we, but, but I think the targetexpansion with Aureliansoul should happen firstbecause we are literally incapable ofeven coming toe to toe withthese. Yeah. These like, yeah, yeah. The watchers on the aspects areAurelian soul. Yeah. Likewe need to first, you know, calm down Aurelian soul a little bit. Andlike, then he can maybehelp us against the watchersin some way. Like I don't want to ever bewhere we're fighting thesebeings. Like even if we shouldnever fight Aurelian soul, we shouldnever fight the watchers. Like itshouldn't be a raid boss.Yeah. They should always be these largerthan life creatures thatare just unobtainable to us.Yeah. And then we help with soldiers. Youknow, we do a little biton the side. Like, well, while we're fighting that we're fightinglike the voidlings, youknow? Yeah. Yeah. I completelyagree. And also, yeah, I think that's abig thing about Aurelian souls that Ithink they definitelywrote him in a way where he, yeah, he'san enemy, but you can't helpbut like sympathize with himbecause yeah, we definitely are thereason why he hates us. Weactively, you know, betrayed whatlittle trust he had of us. But thenagain, the aspects are thereason that Runeterra is stillaround. Kind of we think, right? Becausethat without the, ohyeah, like the sun disc. Yeah. We'd be in big trouble. Like a Kathywould probably not be, itwould have been spread acrossthe whole world. Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, yes.Difficult thing to thinkabout. I mean, also Aurelian soulis against the void, right? Like he's,he's very actively against the void.Yeah. He doesn't likethe void. Yeah. But I guess his solutionwould have just beento destroy the planetif he found the watchers on it. And thenI wonder like his mainthing is the cosmos. Like he,okay, he likes Runeterra, you know, it'scute. Look at thesepeople. Wow. Interesting. Yeah. But his main thing is like his, he's thestar forger and he lovesthis. He cares, you know, this takes time. Like even after hecreates a star, he maintainsit. Yeah. He takes care of it.That's mostly what he cares about. And ifthe watchers ever start threateningmore than just Runeterra, like he's extraincentivized just to be like, yeah, yeah. Just nip the problem in thebud. Yeah. And done.Oh yeah. Yeah. I get up to just like, yeah, just based on how youcan help us sympathize withAurelian soul a little bit that we arethe aggressors in hiscase. I can see us allyingourselves with him if he is able to liketurn over a new leaf orwhatever and actually try toprotect Runeterra. I can see thathappening. But then theaspects they're really like, invest in us as in like, like why wouldthey care so much about? We don't know. We have noidea why the aspects are so invested inRuneterra. And even they never reallyexplained that Aureliansoul. They were just like, come see thisworld. And then they traphim and like, yeah, startstealing his power just to make sureRuneterra is safe by empowering thesemortal god warriors.Wow. That's super interesting. Thisdefinitely can be some likeMMO, a lot of stuff. We'regoing to slowly figure out what makesRuneterra actually importantas a planet. I hope it's nottoo like chosen money. We're like, oh, wejust so happen to be bornon like the planet, you know, that's, that's decides the entire fate ofcreation or whatever theheck, you know? Yeah. But I stillhope, you know, there's a reason why theaspects care about us. And Ihope it's something devious.I hope they don't care about us, but theywant something out of it, you know?I'm trying to remember what they'recalled. Like I know in in Shurima, they're known as ascended, right? They become ascended when theygain the power from Aureliansoul. But they're not calledascended when they when they reach thetop of Mount Targon. Yeah,I know that whether imbuedwith the power of the aspect, I thinkthey don't, they don't thinkpeople refer to I'm trying tofigure out the name. I don't know if theyrefer to them as aspects ornot. Ah, okay. They're allascended to me. Yeah, I agree. I mean,it's the tomato, tomatoimbued with the power of somegodly being. That's what you think. Butthere's going to be acomment that says how wrong we are.So just be ready for that. That's verytrue. I really in souland the aspects are two verydifferent things in terms of like power.Okay. And you know, theirorigins. But okay. What?Almost interested about for threats. We've talked about somereally massive threats. What do you think the smaller threats aregoing to be in Runeterra? What do you think when we firststart when we first go in with ourcharacter in the Masiya orNoxus? What do you think we'rekilling first? Masiya or Noxus? Yeah, ifthose happen to be ourstarings, I feel like at thispoint, we're just talking about like it'sa guarantee. Oh, yeah,we're starting the Masiyaor Noxus. But I also can't see usstarting anywhere else that would makesense. Just in termsof like a regular starting zone. I feellike those two are soperfect. I don't know. I think,I think, you know, for like the smallerthreats, those are usually easier todefine out after likeI could see Demacia having, you know, like, you know, thedefiest brotherhood from.Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about isstuff like that. Like, like, in World of Warcraft, defiest brotherhood, you know, they'relike just like extremists. Yeah, eventually. You know, like, what kind of average Joe dudes dowe have to keep at bay in Runeterra?Yeah, I feel like I don't know how muchof that I can think of off thetop of my head, to be honest.Like, I feel like those are because theynever had, you know, likebefore World of Warcraft, there was no like there was a ScarletCrusade. Yeah. Was this a ScarletCrusade? I don't thinkthere was a Scarlet Crusade. No, therewasn't because the undeadweren't like a thing. I mean, like, at least like the Forsaken were notreally a thing until afterWarcraft three once they werefree of Arthas's control for the mostpart. Yeah, so I feellike those those threats arenot really defined yet. There is one thatI could think of. And thatis actually Viego's uncle.Viego is an uncle? Yes. Vladimir andNoxus is Viego's uncle.Okay. Yeah. What about him makes himthreatening? He's like avampire. Okay, cool. Yeah, cool. Isee the whole family has their ownhistory of just messed upstuff going on in their lives.Yeah, exactly. Yeah, so he's kind of outfor himself. So Icould see his, his goals, and maybe not aligning with Noxus at somepoint, where he just kindof like wants more power orsomething like that. Or he does somethingthat is not in the best interest ofNoxus. And then maybewe have to fight him. Okay, so he's justlike very extreme ingeneral. Yeah, like his goals.Yeah, I could see that, you know, I wouldlike them not. I don'tknow. Like you have characterslike Briar, who is a new character. Andshe's just kind of likecreated by, I think Vladimirhad a part, Vladimir had a pardon too.She always calls him dead.Oh, oh, wow. Okay. Yeah. Andcreating it because I think she wascreated by the, this cult, this bloodcult, as like a livingweapon. And I could see like us maybehaving to fight her. But see, I don'twant to kill off thesecharacters. I feel like they can createnew villains, newvillains, kind of like how theydid it after the fact. And it's easy toget those smaller groups.Yeah, the smaller conflicts.Yeah. And I think those come later. Yeah. The bigger conflicts aremuch easier to identifynow because those aren't going to change. And those have likebranching storylines that gothroughout everything. Yeah, those aregoing to take years to build up andresolve in a satisfyingway. Exactly. Exactly. That's fair.Because I mean, yeah, evenin like, you know, like, I gotpeople are going to already know thesebig bads, like, you know, just from like League of Legendsand the riot forged titles. But then Istill hope they do a really good job ofbuilding up the baddies with theirbackstories and with theirmotives and things like that.So it's not just like, oh, by the way, this expansion is theAurelion soul expansion. I knowwe didn't we'd like like, you know, reason you have no idea why he's hereoutside of maybe like aside quest in Shurima that brought himup. Yeah. But here he is now we're goingto fight him. Here'sall of his backstory dumped on you thisexpansion. Yeah, that'd bebad. So I got some problem with alot of MMOs. I mean, like even even FinalFantasy 14 does that whereit's like, oh, by the way, here's the new threat. This is this isthe threat of the nextcouple of years behind.Yeah, they get behind and it's impossibleto catch up because thenyeah, because you can't setyou can't put the pieces in place thatlike will be revealedlate years in a day.Need a big bad for this expansion. Youhaven't been building upa big bad for this time. And so now you need to use the time fromthat expansion to gointo detail on this big bad.People understand him. And then becauseof that, you don't have timeto build up the next big badfor, you know, two or three expansionsdown the line. Yeah. Once you fallbehind, it's impossibleto catch up. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Likethey're because, yeah, nowthey're rushing to get thisstory done and just have all of itspieces and they're not goingto have the time to put in allof those little nice little details of,oh, by the way, the voidstill a thing. Oh, by the way,Aurelian soul still a thing. Here's somemeteors falling fromhis crown. By the way, that's a problem. You're going to have toworry about that. You'regoing to have to like, you know, fight off some weird amalgamations thatcome from the crown's powerfrom those meteors landing.Wow. That's a really good idea. And justhappens like I just happened earlier. Not, yeah, I know. Not anywhere close toeven Aurelian soul stuff, but people start talkingabout Aurelian soul in the quest. Oh myGod, it's happening. Oh, this isArmageddon. This is theend of the world. But then it doesn't.Yeah, yeah, it doesn't happen yet. Butpeople are freaking outbecause just just so much as onemeteorite falling off from his crown isenough to strike insane fearin the cities and towns surrounding it.Like, oh my God, it's happening.Exactly. I think that's the right way. That's so important. We're close to the Aurelian soulexpansion or whatever theheck, whenever we reveal Aureliansoul being a threat. Yeah, you just thethey have to be thinkingabout this ahead of time.Like the thing about like World ofWarcraft, they had Warcraft one, two andthree where they wereable to build out Arthas and they wereable to build out becauseeven though they were just thatexpansion, people already knew them fromthose ones. Exactly. Thereason Garrosh was so cool ispeople already knew him prior. Oh, yeah.Oh my God. That guy hasso much history throughoutWarcraft and World of Warcraft. Yeah. OrKill Jaden. You know,he's been around since likethe beginning when the Draenei firstcame. He's been like talked about sincethe Burning Crusades.People knew who he was going into Legion.Yeah, absolutely. Theyneed to like, especially ifthey're they need to either have they Ithink you do both. You havegames on the side. That's whatI'm in. Riot Forge is going to say thatRiot Forge is soperfect. Yeah. It's what I wishWarcraft has done is that they shouldcontinue doing singleplayer story focused experiencesto build out the world and build out thebaddies further. So that way,the Sandra is going to be talked about. Is it a hundred? InSong of Nunu? Oh, really? He's the one who trapped the Watchers andwe don't know her fullstory and we don't know whatshe's telling us. Who isn't telling us.We know she's after the Yeti andsupposedly the Yeti'shad something to do with the howlingabyss and imprisoning theWatchers. But all of that exceptone. There's a lot of lore there. I justthrew it out. Yeah, dude. But yes, she's going to beseeing who could explore her more in thatgame. No, perfect. Yep. Ohmy God. But do both. Yeah,do both because I'm going to be real.Storytelling in an MMO issomething that I want to staystrictly lore world focused. I don't wantthere to be oneconsolidated story that we're followingthroughout throughout expansions, especially essentiallywith every MMO that I've seen.Expansions are typically very onestoryline focused where itfeels like you are just playinga single player RPG. Your character isjust standing there forall of it. Yeah, exactly.I'm on the ground a little bit. Yeah, exactly. A little bit.A little bit.Your focus games that help support justthe Runeterra world lorethat can exist in the MMOwithout having to go into way deep storybuilding in the MMO. Yeah.Like you touch on one story, but then go to a different story that'snot even relevant for this expansion.Yeah. Go back to theexpansion story and then maybe touch onsomething else from anotherthat's going to be planned outmuch later and then come back to themain. Like you said, we still have thatbig threat. We stillhave a reason for being there, butthere's other also the main focus is theworld. Yeah. Comparedto like where it's just super like next, next, next, next, nextstories complete closed. Yeah.Yeah, dude. Yeah, exactly. And I thinklike Warcraft threetransitioning into World ofWarcraft, you know, Warcraft threefocuses on Arthas who endsup being a big bad in World ofWarcraft. Warcraft three literally playsArthas. And I think that'swhy he becomes one of the mostfamous, if not the most famous villain inWorld of Warcraft. Man, it'sthat single player experiencewhere you really just get to delve deepinto the story. You play as ArthasMenethil and later on,you have to take him down as yourcharacter. I hope they dothat kind of with Riot Forge. We need to go about that. Yeah, dude.Seriously, if I could playas Vigo, go through all of hisstruggles, you know, have all those, those hard moments that hegoes through leading up to,you know, the moment where his wife takeshim down and he becomesthe Vigo we know. The rune. That kind of stuff. Yeah. So that waywhen the time comes, you don't need allthat insane exposition, you know, in the end, like the MMO.Because that way, ifpeople care about the story, they're going to play the game. If theydon't care about thestory, they're going to say,Vigo looks cool as hell. Yeah, I can'twait to fight him. Yeah. That's what the Lich King was.I'm sure there are plenty of people whodidn't know who the heckthe Lich King was. They didn'tcare to play Warcraft 3. But God damn it,he looks cool. Yeah, that's all you need for thosekind of people. That's perfectly fine.Yeah, but you need you needto have that lower backgroundfor other people like us. Yeah, exactly.People who want to getinvested, who want that big fightto feel climactic with all the necessarybuildup. That's why I thinkRiot Forge is so perfect forthis MMO to come. Yep. That's why I wasthinking like they're doing likedifferent different zonesor letting you explore each zone. That'swhy every Riot Forge gameis from a different area. You have for Demacia, you have MageSeeker. For Zaun andhonestly like slash Piltover.I don't think they'll do a Piltover game.I would type Mayhem, butI don't know if it counts. There's 90 lore in it and it's just kindof like a mobile game. Then you have Convergence, that's Zaun. Then you have Song of Nunu, that's Frolljord. You have Rune King, which is Bilge Water in the Shadow Isles. And you still have like acouple other zones there, like they might do one for Noxus, forIonia, for Istal, Shabima, Targon. Youhave the Bandle Cityone coming out. Oh yeah, that's right.Bandletales. I feel likethey're doing one for every zone. And then you'll be able to kind of you'llknow the world going intoRuneterra. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Now Iknow the Runeterra, just Runeterra.Yeah, just Runeterra. Game name. Oh yeah, one thing I think for sureis inevitable is an Ioniagame from Riot Forge. Yeah, right. LikeIonia is way too popular. It has that awesome Japaneseculture that people love, you know, thatlike anime manga stylecharacters and stuff. Yeah.So that I feel like is inevitable. We'llsee about the other zones. Ihope they do stuff for likeIstal. I think Istal would be a reallycool Riot Forge game. Yep.There's a lot you can do therebecause I love that like jungle theme.Yeah, I think you couldhonestly do like Istal, Shurima, and Acacia all in one game. It can berelated. You can do like, yeah, a whole thing on the,you know, the Void War kind of thing. Ohyeah, that's fair. Dark andlike that'd be a cool game. And then Istal is also associated withthat because actuallyIstal mages are the ones thathelp them build the Sun Disk in Shurima.Oh really? I didn'tknow they were allies. LikeShurima was. They're pretty tight. Theywere pretty tight. Yeah.Oh man, good to know. Well,we have missed one thing that we weregoing to talk about atthe start of this video. What were we going to talk about? Whowill be our guide through Runeterra. Oh,okay. Because for me,obviously my knowledge of lore is prettylimited right now. It's growing. Yeah, yeah, it's definitelygrowing. You accidentally said Frolljordthe other day when you weretalking about something else. Soyou're starting to get into it whereyou're like, your mind is in Runeterra.Oh my god, that's sotrue. But my first thought when I hear aguide through Runeterrais his name Tark, the magethat I was going to say. Yeah, that's myvery first thought. Ithink that might be because ofthe boundaries between him and Khadgar.Yeah, yeah. Khadgar, world of Warcraft character, who's also a very powerful mage who alsoguides you through a lot ofstuff in World of Warcraft.Yeah. So he's also very neutral. Like hecan be anywhere. He canbounce around the whole planet.Yeah, exactly. And much like a guide forthe entire world, hissoul duty seems like it'sjust a safeguard Runeterra. That'sliterally his purpose.Yeah, like he's no allegiances, nothing. He just wants to safeguardRuneterra, which isperfect because chances are everythreat we're going to be worrying aboutis a threat becausethey're threatening the safeguardof Runeterra. Yes, exactly. So I justthink he makes way toomuch sense. I hope they don'tfall into the pit of like, you know, he'sjust constantly callingon us and just being like, champion. Yeah. He's definitely gonna beour guide for Targon. Iwonder if you'll kind of havea different guide depending on where youare. Like, I feel like Echo would be agreat guide for Zaun.Yeah. I feel like for Demacia, like youwant to be led by Garen, youknow? Yeah, absolutely. Like,I think, I think it's cool if he comes inand out, you know, sothat way it's like, oh,man, Tariq, I do. Oh, remember that thatone time with theWatchers. Yeah, he says no,I don't remember you. There was like tonsof people there. Like, what are you talking about? That'd be great. Like, how would I, yourealize, yeah, like, oh,thank goodness the troops fromNoxus are here. Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh, weneed to get that group fromNoxus. That's what I hope. Like,I don't want him to call me champion. Idon't want him to, like, Iwant to, I want to be ableto say like, okay, you know, he remembersthat I helped in some way,but I never want to be like, yeah, he's like, he's like, you've,you've, you've been throughmuch, but now he must ask,ask more of Noxus. Like, I have stufflike that. Yeah, youare a veteran of this war.Yeah. And that's why we're asking, we'reasking all veterans tocome to do this. Yeah. And Iwant it to be specifically, if youcompleted that content. Yes. At the timethat it was relevant.Yeah. And if it's not, if it's not, thenyou're a new recruit, like, yeah, yeah, recruits for this war. Dude, because Ijust like symbol stuff. It's literally like one line ofdialogue and nothing else. I don't wantto like branch off anything crazy.Literally just make aone line of dialogue that you recognize.Yeah. Like, yeah, we needveterans of Noxus. Yeah.I'd be so cool to me. I understand hismagic and he can just literally justcreate the letters outof thin air. But I mean, he's going tofricking write a dedicated letter toevery single charactersaying your exact name. Yeah. No, thatshould not happen. It's,it's going to be some like bigannouncement from like, from you, youbeing a Demacian veterans, can be some big announcementin Demacia. Like, it's adraft drafted the peak. And then yells war.It turns this way. That's it. The peak of Targon. It just yells it. Yes, dude. That's why we're here. That's why I madethis character. It'smy intro to Runeterra. You know, speaking about the story, something that I realizedwhen you talk about like theexpansion and how the story unfolds andyou definitely need aguide, right? You need towalk you through it. I think a lot ofpeople write the expansionslike you would write a book.I think so. I don't like that. Yeah. Ilove Ruination, the book.I've read it twice. It'samazing. But it is a book. I wouldn'twant an expansion to belike that. I linked the Witcherthree, right? Very popular open worldsingle player game. And thereason it's popular is becauseyou have that main story and you couldliterally just stick onthat main story the whole time.Yeah. But you can also, you know, veeroff here, then go back tothe main story, veer off here,go back to the main story. And that's howexpansion should belike, it should be okay. You're on the main story, but then youveer off for a while and youcome back. And that's why Ithink the Witcher is one of the numberone most liked and greatestsingle player RPGs ever made.Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, in the Witcher, Iwould say the main, Ithink it was, I think it wasChris Metzner who said this, it was somebig rep at the time whosaid that the main characterof World of Warcraft is the world. Yeah,I think that was thecase with the Witcher too.I think that's who I got it from. Iremember him saying Chris Metzen wassomeone who said theworld is the main character. I thinkthat's why I keep saying thatthe world should be the maincharacter. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Andthat's why I think the Witcher and likeRPGs like the Witcherare as popular as they are. Yeah.Because, you know, you got characterslike Geralt who are reallycool, but they're only so cool because ofthe society that they'rein. Yeah. You know, becauseof the way that the world treats them andthe way the world treatsitself. Yep. And I think stufflike that, it's very important forRundhara. Also, Geralt, ascool as you are in the game,to the world, you are a Witcher. Yeah. And you are just a Witcher.Exactly. You do not walk intothe city and everyone's like, "Geralt!"You walk into the shop, "I would chargethis, but for Geralt."Yeah. It's more like, "Oh, for theWitcher, I'll chargeextra." Yeah, he doesn't pay up.They don't walk into the area, townsquare, and they're like,"Oh, we don't want Geralt here."They say, "We don't want a Witcher here."Yeah. No one knows who the Fyou are most of the time untillike, okay, once you've been there for awhile, maybe there's like, there's certain people whoknow you. And obviously there's certainpeople who know of Geraltbecause he is in the world.Yeah. Yeah. You know, but it's just whatwe're all with. That'slike, those are people he haspersonally interacted with. Yeah. It'snot like his name is spreading far andwide. Exactly. For hisgreat deeds. But the general worlddoesn't know who Geralt is.He is just a Witcher. Yeah. Theworld is bigger than him. Yeah. Andthat's why you feel important. That's how why another reasonwhy the Witcher is great. Like a lot ofother RPGs make it wherelike you are this character.Everyone knows you. You're significant. You're going to savethe world. Yeah. Yeah.Dude. Yeah. No, we need to be limited inRuneterra. Runeterra should be biggerthan us. That's my biggest. That's very important. Honestly, that'smy biggest ask too. More than likegameplay. Legit. I needRuneterra to come first. More than anycharacter. Oh, and talking about also, you were talking aboutthe bads, like the little guys, whatever. There's obviously a lot in the shadowisles. There's a lotof. Oh, yeah. Even Zaun has its fairshare of like little threats, right?Yeah. Like thugs andabominations. And even Ionia, you havelike the demons. There'sdemons from the spirit realm. SoI think it's easy to make those dungeonfights and like those smaller bad. Yeah. Those little storiesto tell based on what's already there.Yeah, they're already there. It's justyou have to get there.Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, like evenlike, you know, like I wasgoing back to Noxus becauseI think Noxus is so cool. But is thatwhere you'd want it? Yeah. Imean, that's probably where I'mgoing to end up. It's so chaotic. I havea handle in Noxus. Yeah, I'dprobably be a yordle in Noxus. But like, you know, like Noxus as chaoticas it is. No waythere's not going to be like, you know, like uprising groups withinNoxus that, you know, like against thenorm against the statusquo of Noxus because in Noxus they allowthat kind of stuff. Yep.And you actually, if youare allowed to uprise, like yeah, exactly. And overthrow thewhole economy. It's like, wow, great. Yeah, it's like, well, you're yourlongest. Now. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, it makes a lot ofsense. You're going to be fighting othergroups that are vying forpower in Noxus. Yeah, exactly.Yeah. Like, yeah, those kinds of smallthreats. It's like, likethey don't exist on paper yet,but it's very easy to see how they're setup right now. Yeah. I would100% support General Swain, because I just love General Swain. Likehe literally, so GeneralSwain, he had a coup. Therewas Borum Darkwill, who's honestlyrunning the Noxus into theground, not doing a great job.But then you have during he like createda coup, General Swain, andhe took over and instead ofusurping power completely for himself, hecreated the Trifurix, which is like a council to leadNoxus. Yeah, which consisted of like him,Darius, and I think, yeah, and LeBlanc. And so he created, like someone who took power and then gavethat power away to likesomething to better Noxus.Yeah. Like that's the kind of guy I wouldstill follow. I wouldfollow Swain if I was in Noxus.Man, I hope. I mean, like, I feel likethat would require a lotof like branching stories, which takes up a lot of development timein terms of like, depending on who you support, but I do hope you can support certainpeople in Noxus. Ithink that'd be so cool. There's so much they can do. Man, wedidn't talk about so muchstuff that we were supposed to betalking about. We were supposed to talkabout the uniform lore thatthey were talking. We didn'teven bring that up. Yeah. We also didn'ttalk about the shadowisles in Viego as like one ofthe biggest threats to Runeterra. Oh myGod. Yeah. Yeah. Viego isdefinitely one of the mostdeveloped threat in Tera or that man hasa lot of story behind him.Viego, shadow isles, there's also Pikewho's being mind controlled by themonsters, by sea monsters.I'm just saying. Yeah. That's the thing.Hey, his ambitions justdon't add up. They don't line upwith his personal goals. So we can talkabout that next time. Butlet's talk a little bit about,or should we, I think we have to, we haveto touch on this withtouching the uniform lorebecause it literally just happened. Itdid literally. Yeah.Yeah. I guess we do have totalk about it. I feel like anyone whoexpects us to be talkingabout it right now is pissedbecause we're 54 minutes in. Maybe I'llcut this section, justput it at the beginning.Yeah. Yeah. I'm not going to do that. I'mjust going to let it ride. All right. Stick to the end to figure outwhy. So what do you thinkabout the lore being uniform? Why are they doing it? What's therationale? And what does that mean forthe like riot and goingforward? Yeah. Yeah. So the bigannouncement recently, essentially them saying we're goingto consolidate all of our games, anythingthat evolves, runeterra intoa single cannon. So there'sgoing to be no contradictions. They'regoing to leave fewer, fewerspots left untold. You know,uh, I think that kind of thing, obviouslyI can't see relating toanything else other than the MMOspecifically because riot forge games arevery zone specific. 100riot forge games are very, uh,consolidated in their own single story, which I like. I like thatabout the forge games. It givesthat nice breath of, uh, seeingeverywhere in depth, but like there's noreason for them to makea single cannon of all of runeterraoutside of the MMO. Otherwiseit wouldn't be necessary. Yeah.I don't think they're doing this forproject L. It's just likeif they are making individualgames, those individual games can just becanon in their own sectionof time, you know? And likethey're so completely unrelated thatlike, yeah, like chances are, uh,something that happens in,uh, Geneva is not going to a fresh forallured. Yeah. You know, especially if they're completelyseparate games, the way that they are. SoI'll say this. Okay.So what, what I know, they did say song of new newest cannon. They said that they saidour cane is cannon. Okay. Uh,I think all riot forge games are cannon.I think I would think so.Convergence is cannon. Mm hmm.Mage seeker is cannon. And I think ruinedKing is that cannon. Those areall going to stay cannon riotforge games will be cannon. And the, the,the only thing that Iwonder about the conversionsand it being cannon is that it maycontradict our cane withthe echoes backstory becausereally, yeah. Although you can say thatwe just didn't exploreecho enough in our cane. So wedon't really see that part of him, but inour, in convergence, echo hasparents and that's the storythat I knew as well. Is that like, that'shis story online that has,he had parents and, you know,he has a family and he lives in zone, that kind of thing. Yeah. But in ourcane, it looks to melike he's an orphan who's being raised bya, what's his name? Someguy in our cane. He's beingraised as an orphan, but it could just bethat, you know, you justnever see his parents and hejust, he just like runs around zone allthe time. Yeah. I mean, like,do they say when his parentsare like at what age? His parents aren'tdead. Oh, his parentsaren't dead. No. What the, okay.In convergent. I mean, there are theyjust, they're just notthere. They're just not there inour cane. Yeah. Like they never exploreit. So I don't know if he'san orphan or they just nevershow his parents because I mean, at theend of the day, the maincharacters of convergence reallyare Vi and Jinx. I feel those are likethe main characters. Okay.Yeah. Echo is kind of like aside. He's like, he's there. Yeah. Somaybe they just didn't explore himenough, but I kind ofreally like Echo's story as it is nowwith like his parents andstuff. There's a lot to like, there's a lot to unpack there. Yeah. Imean, there's more thanyeah. I agree. I feel like theorphan thing is kind of trophy. Yeah. Youknow, it's very popularfor a hero to start off as anorphan. Yeah. And I like his future selfand convergence comesback to this a little bit ofspoiler. Anyway, he's on the cover artdude. It's all good. Yeah. He's on the cover art. Hisfuture self comes back and everything.Like the story ofconvergence is very, very good.I would not want to see convergence takenaway because ofarcane. Although I do thinkarcane needs to be canon because a lot ofit's very popular andarcane two is coming out, which is going to be canon. But I justwould like them to say that, okay, we just didn't exploreEcho fully in arcane. There's only somuch time in the show, buthe still has that story of hisparents and all that and convergence isalso canon. Yeah, that'sthe one to do. That's the onlyone that I really worry about the rest. Ifeel like those mainstories are going to stay canon.Like I don't think the watcher story isgoing to change. I don'tthink Viego story is going tochange the ascended and shurima Targonreally. And so the theSandra like nothing in Demacia. There's a lot of story that's still inline. There's like acouple don't really make sense.Like Serafine. Yeah, I think also thisdoes not seem like it. LikeI wouldn't be surprised if acharacter like that has been a littlemore all over the place justbecause I don't think they'regoing to do anything big with a characterlike Serafine. Yeah. Youknow, it seems like she ismore just like a like a character thatrepresents Piltover and its ideals. Youknow, like, of course,a pop star is going to be Piltover. Yeah, there's certain charactersthat I think you need to be ifthey want to include them in the gameneed to be changed a little bit to fitbetter with the lorelike Serafine. But I think majority ofthe lore does fall in linewith a uniform canon already. If you look at my video covering theNoxus timeline, I don'tthink that timeline is goingto change that the timeline that Noxuscreated. Ruination, that bookis going to be canon. I thinkpretty much everything in the book,Realms of Runeterra, that's all going tobe canon. So really,I don't think as much is going to changeas people think. People are reallyexpecting like, oh my god, what's getting thrown out? We're going tolike rewrite the entireworld. No, I think it is morejust like they've already been prettygood, especially with theRiot Forge games. They'vealready been pretty good about, you know, like a consolidated canon and notstepping on the toes.Yeah, their games and things like that. Ithink now they're justbeing even more so like that. They're going to go back and correct likevery little things, Ithink, here and therethat contradict each other from likeyears ago. Exactly. I thinkthat's what's going to happen. They're really going to nail down on thatkind of stuff. The reallyold stuff, I think, is going tobe maybe like there's some stuff, somestories that just need tobe fixed. Say they align witheverything. Yeah, I think that's what'sgoing to happen. It's moreso that they just really wantto make that statement to be like, nowwe're really going to crackdown. Yeah. Even more thanwe already do, which I'm sure theyalready do, to be honest with somethingwith all these differentgames and shows and books and everything. No way they don'thave a team dedicated tojust making sure that the world ofRuneterra has a single canon, like evenbefore this announcement.Right. Yeah. 100%. 100% of that team isalready there and now theyjust have a little bit morepower. Yeah, I agree. Well, okay. Wetouched on what we had to.We did not finish the mainbosses of Runeterra. Oh my God. The mainbig beds. I think we'llcomplete that next time.I'm down. A lot more than I wanted totalk about. I'm going tobe honest. Yeah, I thinkViego does his own hour. Yeah, yeah. Hedid just release a video for Viegocovering his story onthe YouTube, on my YouTube. But I hopeyou enjoyed this episode.
