Hello and welcome to the Creaking SaltSoap Table's The BrazenHydro Pub in Bilgewater. We're your hosts and Groven. Conquest! And today we'll be sharing a pint andtalking all things from Tear and Beyond.Alright, so we got a ton, a ton to talkabout today. I knowwe've been gone for a while.I hear that, you know, I had some stuffgoing on in my life.Conquest had some stuff going on in hislife. Yes, I will say anything. It's gonna be a changeof schedule these... Yeah. But we're gonna be releasing theseepisodes probably onevery Thursday is what's going to be theschedule going forward. But we got a lot to talk about. We got the Riot GamesNews, the 2024 player update. We got an update from Riotaround Legends of Runeterra. They're talking 2024 and beyond. We got Bandletales from Riot Forge. The still here fully canon cinematic.Although Yasuo is a little bit of shakystuff there, though it's not canon, but it's a canon vision. So, yeah, you know,we'll take that how you will. The vision is canon, but it's not.It doesn't happen.Yeah. Yeah. And yeah, we'll get into that.Arkane season two.Yep. Riot 15 yearanniversary is this year, and there's going to be a showcase. They do that every five years.I'm thinking maybe theremight be some MMO news. We'll talk 2024 predictions. We got Project L, the arcade fighter,Project F, the ARPG.And what we're all about. The Runeterra MMO.Oh, yeah, we are.Oh, yeah.So the first thing that we're going totalk about is what I thinka lot of people want to hear from usfirst is going to be the Riot Games2024 kind of player update. So this update was bigbecause the worst thingthat could have happenedinitially when you first read it.Riot Forge is no more. They're taking an axeto Riot Forge. It's done. There's no more Riot Forge.Bandletales going to be the last game inthe in the series of Riot Forge. And we kept hyping it up like, oh, yeah,Riot Forge are going to make gamesalongside the MMO to like, you know, fill out the story as they're making theMMO as it gets updates.I hope they still do something like that, even if it's notexactly Riot Forge anymore. You know, like I can't see a world whereRiot just does this amazing lineof single playerexperiences and then just stops.Yeah, but it might just be they're donewith making third party titlesas in like they're doneoutsourcing their stuff to otherlike indie companies to make games. And they're probably like they might justexpand their team insideand have more firstparty titles releasing. That's what I hope at least.Yeah, I think I think it honestly. So I'm a huge fan of Riot Forge.I've gotten literally every singlecollector's edition. It's my favorite way that I've beenexploring Runeterra. But, you know, with the Riot Forge, thereis that added extra cook in the kitchenback in October.Yeah, this is the truth. You know, I love Riot Forge.I love the games. But yeah, like it's an extra cook in thekitchen, especially with with.In my opinion.Oh yeah.Yeah, I definitely think the unifying ofthe lore, absolutely.Yeah, I mean, look at convergence.Convergence is set in a completelydifferent timeline becausewe have to say that becauseArkane is canon and we see that Arkane ison a separatetimeline at the end when theother...It's a good point.Yeah, older Echo is snapping through thedifferent realities. We see Arkane. That's a whole different reality andthat's the reality thatwe're carrying forward becauseArkane is canon.Same thing, we don't know100% if Mage Seeker is canon. We know Song of Nunu is.I think Mage Seeker is canon thoughbecause it ties really wellwith all the current lore. And then there's also Rune King, which Ibelieve is canon, but who knows? The only one we really know for sure thatthey've statedspecifically is canon is Songof Nunu. And trying to get this unified lore forthe Rite of Mmo, it's difficult. And I think Riot Forge may have been ahurdle that they justhad to kind of let go, eventhough it was doing well.Yeah, I definitely see what you mean thatthe two kind ofcontradict each other of wantingto unify the lore andoutsourcing your games.I mean, Song of Nunu definitely, theamount of just likecasual like Nunu and Will havetalking about some like, you know, deeplore within the Freljord. That definitely felt super likeintentional that like Riothold them to put these thingsin these very specific things in the gamein terms of like how they, what they talkabout. But yeah, I can see especially with theearlier titles like Convergence.I wouldn't be surprised if that was moreof an afterthought oflike, oh wait, this doesn'tline up with Arcane anymore.Doesn't line up with like Echo's story.Wait, did we ever get tothe bottom of Echo's parents?Wheres consistent with that programme?back in time and constantly having hisbirthday kind of thing. It's really like, honestly, it's kind ofheart wrenching a little bit.But yeah, that's pretty depressing.Yeah, yeah. But then likethe the story in Arkane is we don'treally get too much echo. It's not really about echo. It's about Vi and it's about Vander, whois coming back in Arkane season two.Just saying hint, hint.I'm not saying anything else past that, but I think you'll see him again. And then and then it'sabout Vi and it's about Jinx. And these are these are really the focus.I think Vi and Jinx are really the mainfocus, in my opinion. The echo is like a he's like a third, athird party character. But you don't explore himtoo much like he's there. He's running around. He doesn't use asupporting cast member like he's.Yeah, he's there to push the othercharacters along andtheir goals or whatever.Yeah, yeah. They never officially statewhether he has parents or not.So I hope he does.I feel like the orphan trope is kind of.Like he used the already Viand Jinx are already orphansthat were adopted by Vander.Like we don't needeveryone in Zaun to be an orphan.I understand there's a lot of Ken Ponson.Yeah, yeah, like Zaun is such an obviousplace to have orphans, but you can't overdo it.Come on. There needs to be a limit. Some parents.Orphans there are.So there has to be some parents in Zaun.Surely.And just going back tothe post again, right?I obviously I will state this, you know,530 roles globally were cut.Right.We're eliminated.11% of riders with the biggest impactbeing to teams outsideof the core development. Now, I understand that that's always bad,but I really think thisis more of a restructuringand not just because look at they're notjust saying we just we just cut this. There's one thing to say like, oh, we cutwe cut back on staff. We just decided to cut back versus sayingthat cut back and for this reason, like unfortunately, ifthere's no riot Forge.Yeah, a lot of people. So those roles were eliminated.I'm sure a lot of people got moved aroundand I'm sure there were peoplethat were let go as well and just at theend of the day, like this kind of stuffhappens. My companyjust had a restructuring. My company had a restructuring last yearand a restructuring this yearand people got let go.It's just unfortunatelycertain things don't work anymore.Like there was a role that was cut frommy company because we don't sell printersanymore, but we did before and he wasstill selling printers.Like the things change like if you wereon riot Forge, there's no more riotForge for you to be at sothat role had to be eliminated. It's just yeah, and I'm sure there waslike support team, a riot Forge supportrole that was specific to that andthere's other stuff like I'm sureriot Forge the whole riotForge cinematic team is cut.You know, those roles are eliminated.I hope that they moved on to differentroles at riot games, but the thingthat I took away fromthe post wasn't bad.It was really like I almost took it as apositive looking at Legends ofRuneterra. They're expanding the path of champions.Have you played path of Champions yet?I've not.Path of Champions is like this awesomelittle sub sub game in Legends ofRuneterra. It's really all I play and it's kind ofplaying through stories in Runeterra. It's really cool.I'd recommend you give it a shot andthey're talking about expanding thateven though the Legends of Runeterra teamin terms of their PvP scenedid get cut back like the PvP developers.Yeah, so like stuff like that.Yeah, I was thinking like oh no, they'regetting like Heroes of theStorm treatment, you know, they're aboutto go into maintenance mode.Yeah, that's my biggest fear, you know, but it seems like they stillhave like actually dedicated developerspushing the game forward. So that's cool.Yeah, they said this is this is what Ithink the most important thingthat people hear like roles lost and theystop reading the rest. But if you look down a little bitfurther, they say expect eventsmodes and long-term roadmaps that lead tovibrant hopefully multi-decadefeatures for games like Leagueof Legends Valorant, TeamfightTactics and Wild Rift. And then they have a whole separate postjust for Legends of Runeterratalking about expandingthe path of Champions. And then then they have another sectionwhere they're not deleting.I feel like they're changing directionand and maybe it's just like thethe mind in need becauseI'm always thinking Riot MMO.I feel like this is really focused aroundthe Riot MMO unifying theirtheir story and unifying their directionand focusing on a couple big titles. And I think that'swhere they'll find success.Honestly is like having that those, youknow, those big big titlesthat people play and are familiar withand those are like your core.I agree with that.I think I'm open to the idea of likesingle player titles in the futurethat expand through multiple games, youknow, having like sequel titlesand even, you know, like like let's saythere's like a sequel to Song of Nunu.I'd be cool with that. That, you know, takes theirstory even further or I thinkwhat's it called? The thing in Ruined King is that gamethey can expand on further.Absolutely.So like I think that's just like makingexamples of Riot Forge.I'm sure they'll come outwith their own first party titlessooner or later, given how successfulRiot Forge was, I feel.Yeah, I can definitely see them likedoing multiple games in like a serieswhere in that case, it becomes like nowthey have big titles. You know what I mean?Instead of spreading themselves then onlike completely different games.I can see that happening.Exactly.That's exactly what they're saying. They say we they some of their effortshave become more isolatedand we aspire to more seamlessly blendgameplay, competitive excellenceand narrative depths in ways that shouldmake it better to be a player.Like they're talking about even the musicthat they're thatthey're coming out with. They want it to allintegrate into a single narrative. And I don't think you can do that withsomething like Riot Forge around.Like at the end of the day, you have tohave everything in housein order to geteverything on the same page. And that's oh, yeah, absolutely. Yeah.Yeah, I completely agree. It's not worth like a headache ofmanaging a bunch of likemicro managing teamsthat aren't even yours.I get it being a whole thing.I was definitely surprisedto hear that they're like, like the more I think about it's like, yeah, well, they really did saythey're going to consolidate the lore atthe same time that they startedlike contracting out their games, which is the aproty like contradictive. Those two. Yeah.Work together. They started right for 2021,and then they announcedthat in October of 2023.So I feel like there was alittle bit of delay there, but I feel like thisis aligning with that.Yeah, I mean, like I feel like a bigthing about Riot Forge is that like.OK, so we have like Project F, which is,of course, going to be likeour next like single player title chance, like outside of the handle tail. The next like single playertitle takes place in Runeterra. But give like Rifors, like one thing aboutRiot Forge is that theyreally had a nice stream of contentcoming out to tell storiesbecause I know they're already sayingthat they want other ways to tell storiesother than like their shortstories and stuff like that, like stuff on their website, how it isnow where it's a lot of reading. You want to make their storytelling a lotmore like I'm assuminglike interactive and video game and movieshow based that sort of stuff. So I hope that content flow still happensthe way they did with Riot Forge, becauselike there was like even nowwe still banal tale look forward to therewas always something to look forward to.And there was always newlore coming out for in terror, new stories like progressing. So I hope they keep up with that in termsof like nice content flow, nice flow of Runeterra stories.Yeah, like I mean, Arkane Season 2 iscoming out November 2024.I think Path of Champions will be a greatway for them to tell more stories. And honestly, I feel like with the rightof a mo, you're going to havethat's going to be a great avenue fortelling stories. Oh, yeah.I absolutely I don't know if you I likedthe idea of having these side titlesto like delve into the smaller storiesthat go on the side of.Of the of the MMO, you know, like likeleading up, you know,it gives you some contextgoing into the next game. And for those people that want to knowthe lore, that's a great way to do itrather than just releasing a book beforean expansion or something like that.So I like that. Oh, yeah.I think they're going to keep I thinkwe're going to see something.I don't think this is like the end ofthese kind of side games.I think they're going tohave their core titles. They're definitelygoing to focus in on those. And I think we're going to get like anannouncement ofsomething that's in house.I'm definitely expecting it to.I would say like, I don't think theywould cut off Riot Forge unless they had.Terms of these likesmaller single player titles.I really hope so.Just because like we said, I feel likesingle player games are so importantto or at least like in myeyes, because I know I found my 14as its own story withinthe MMO and that entire storylike is entirelyfilled out within the MMO.Right. You you play that.I'm a boy. You don't need anything else. You know the whole story just playing it.Yeah, you will. I'm first. If it's not enough. It's done well, but then alsothat's my biggest gripe withthe final man. C14 is thatbecause it's so story driven,it's much more of a single playerexperience for an MMO.Right. Like there's not a I mean, thereis a good amount of gameplay.Oh, it's definitely the most like, youknow, you got your cinematics. You got like your your cutscenes and your dialoguesthat you're reading through or watching. There's a lot of that. How I see 14 says a lot of story to tellbecause it's telling thiswhole world worth of story.Yeah.So I personally, I think I've alreadysaid this one like a broken record, but I got I love Warcraft three and howit set up World of Warcraft. And I would love it ifRiot did something like thator they have single playertitles that set up for the MMO,which I kind of feellike Riot Forge did. Right.Wow. Yeah. How all over the place they were withlike locations, you know, like I'mhonestly, I'm kind of Iwould never get an Ionia one. That's fine.Like we got Demacia, we got.We got the zone for the. You're kind of shadow.I. Yeah.Well, they really cover all these storiesin Rentera setting up a lot of stuff.Right. There's still a lot of games andwith some loose ends.Like especially Song of Nunu.So like there's some crazystuff they're setting up.And I would love if notonly is that set up the MMOreally well for all theselocations and all these problemswe're going to haveto face at some point. But also if they keep doingthat as the MMO is going onso they can continue these stories in asingle player immersive experiencewithout me like hopping on with the boysto play the right MMO.And then we got to get through the storyfirst, you know. Yeah.Like I want the cool.I want the world loreand events to happen inright MMO, but I want I want alot of the story that happenswith the characters happen in singleplayer games outside of it.That's just me.That's how I like myMMOs. I have learned. You know, you know whatI think they could do.So they're saying they say in the postalso that their volume ofreleases will never be massive. And they want everything that theydeliver to be somethingyou can be proud andexcited to share with friends. But the main thing is that they say ourvolume of releases will never be massive. So I don't think we're goingto see like a riot forge typewhere they're justkicking out these titles. But like you were saying that you likedWarcraft 3 the way it told the storyand League of Legends, I mean, almostlike a spin off of League of Legendsis teamfight tactics. You literally open up League of Legendsand play teamfight tactics from the samelike when you're download League ofLegends, you're actually downloadingteam attacks as well, like it's all in one.I didn't even know that's cool.Yeah. And then there's Path of Championsnow in Legends of Runeterra. And they're talking about expanding that.So I almost feel like therecould be a chance where thereit's not a new game, but they're addingways for you to learn the story. And, you know, for example, Path ofChampions isn't a new game. It's still Legends of Runeterra. But it really feels likea new a different game, like almost like aseparate game within the game.Teamfight taxes almost feels like aseparate game piece of League of Legends.Like they got ripped, ripped off and justlike put into their wild riftis literally League ofLegends just on your phone. So that I don't know if that one counts, but but I can see themmaybe releasing something within Leagueof Legends that allows you to see this.Like we did have the Sentinels of Lightand stuff like that. But I would like to see them really gohard and make something like story drivenwithin within League of Legends, justlike Path of Champions. And then hopefully in Project L, it'sreally hard for me to think of a waywhere you could tell a story with anarcade style fighter. But I would like tosee something like that.I don't know how you can do it.But honestly, wow. Oudir Oudir has awhole story about when he startsin the Frolljord, he has these battlesboth with it within and withoutwhile he's conquering these beasts, youknow, in his head or whatever. And he eventually goes to Ionia and he'sfighting with Lee Sin.He gets training and then he goes back. And you could honestly Icould absolutely see kind of aof Project L fightergame where you where you go.You follow Oudir, thechampion from the Frolljord to Ioniaand then back to the Frolljord. So maybe you could dosomething like that. That would be pretty cool.I mean, hey, if MortalKombat and like Street Fightercan tell stories with like straight upcampaigns in their games, then I think Riotdefinitely came with Project L.That'd be insanely cool.I'm not like I'm not going to get myhopes up for it, but I would. It would be considered getting the game alot more if they havelike a straight up like campaign withlike cut scenes and like, you know, like just sick interactions leading up tothe fights and reasons to fight.I'd be very into that. And yeah. And then the last thing I really want tomake sure we touch on isI know a lot of people might be thinkingif Riot Forge got cut, they're just going to be focusing. They're saying that they're just going tobe focusing on League of Legends,Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics. They're saying Project Lwill be coming out, Arkansans 2.They don't really say anything else. All they say about other projects is pluswe have a number of projectscooking in various stagesof research and development.I'll say this in literally a recentinterview with Mark Merrill,Riot MMO, see Riot MMOs Co.Not Riot MMO, but Riot Games Co founder. He says that the MMO is taking up amajority of his focus and time. That that's his. Yeah, that's major. That's the major thingthat he's focusing on.So if he's really focusing on it, I canguarantee you it's in thatvarious stages of R&D andit's not going anywhere.I think that the right of a safe bet thatit's going to be coming out, whether it's next year, the year afterthat or the following year.I do think we'll see a right of a mo.It's just a question of when not if.Obviously, there's therecould be the stars alignand a meteorite crashes and the right ofa mo doesn't come out. That's a possibility.I can't guarantee you, but I feel prettyconfident that it will.Oh, I know me too.I don't think they wouldeven be talking about itif they weren't like certain of it,especially with like howI like Riot takes theirtheir their PR very seriously.I like they're very open about stuff. They're constantly communicating.I can't see a world where they would makea promise that they're just like,oh, yeah, it didn't it didn't work out.It fell apart.I like now, even if somehowit does fall apart internally, they're still going to see it through.Yeah, I don't think they would come outin the open with the MMOif they weren't likecommitted to seeing it through, even if it like doesfall apart internally.I think at this point, they're committedto making an MMO atsome point regardless.Yeah. So another thing that I definitelywant to touch on with you.You just saw recentlythe still here cinematic. What did you think about the season 2024,which by the way, completely cannon guys, everything that you saw inthat cinematic is cannon. And we'll touch on Yasuo a little bit. What did you think ofthe overall cinematic?Oh, man, dude, I don't knowhow they pump these things out.Why is this just for a new season thatthey got these insanecinematics with like crazy choreographyof these constant fights happening?Like, oh, my God.Yasuo, I didn't evenrecognize, to be honest. It's like, who theheck's this old wise dude?Just button Ionia.Oh, man.Yeah, I think loved it.But are you all right? What do you think of their music choicewith their cinematics?Because that Raya is very distinct withtheir their choice of songswhen they make these cinematics. What are your thoughts on it?I think the music choice was very muchlike like even at the beginning, they have this this line, tomorrow is ahope, never a promise, basically showing thatthings are about to change. This is showing you what was. What is right now and what could be.I feel like that'salmost what they did here.Like they're showing you somethingpresent tomorrow is ahope, never a promise.I think that wasreferencing Yasuo in the future. And the rest of the songis like it's very fitting. That's the thing.Even when Kayla and Morgana are fightinglike the lyrics really fit in there. It's like with strangedaylight caught in your eyes. And if you know the history of KaylaMorgana, I'm going to be coming outwith videos about them pretty soon. They have a lot to do with the son andtheir mother, who wasI don't know if I needto go into all of this, but their mother isbasically an aspect of of justice. And she is the justice reallyrepresentative of almost light.Like with strangedaylight caught in your eyes,I feel like that wasreally referencing kind of that. And then with with shadows stretchingout, really referencing Morgana. And then thoughts of all things leftbehind, like this song was definitelythe words are veryfitting of what you're seeing. If you know, if you really dig it in,like I could go for hourson just thoughts of all things I leftbehind is talking about me Morgana. She left. She leaves her mother's swordbehind in the cinematic. But later on, she actually leaves thatsword behind completely. That's why Kayla has two swords, because that's the other sort of Morganaand their mother was one swordand it plummets down and breaks. And that's why they each have a piece ofthe mother's sword at the beginning. And that's why Kayla Kayla is very muchlike about her motherand thinking that her motherwas this this great person.Morgana is kind of more more apprehensiveabout it and saying like, OK,I'm not sure. Yeah, morecynical about the justicethat seems to be these be leveraged, youknow, because she's got these magicalpowers and magic obviously is not OK inDemacia, but Cale's all for itagainst magic and all this stuff. And but it's weird because even theirdad, man, it's so much here.So Morgana's story has some subtledifferences from Cale's story. When Morgana talks about her her mother, she says that her dadtook them away to Demaciato keep them safe from her mother, whowas kind of always off fighting thesebattles and they wanted he wanted to takethem and keep them safe from all.It was basically duringthe rune wars and during the. There also might be a little bit of thedark and war in there.Their mother is fightingin these wars and their dadtakes them to Demacia to protect themfrom magic, which he sees is like, OK,that's magic as well. That's why they go to Demacia.Cale's side of the story, fearing fortheir for his daughter's safety. He waited for their mother to leave andthen he fled to Targon with them bothbecause he wanted to keep hisdaughter safe from this war.Cale's story really focuses more on theirmother becoming a fearsome warrior. She was far greater than every mortaland that their fatherbegan to fear her divinity. And that's why he took them to Demacia. So on Morgana's side, he took them toDemacia to protect thembecause their mother was fighting allthese wars and he wanted to protect themfrom all this all this conflict. But on Cale's side, he she thinks that inher bio, you see that, OK,he fled because he was in fear of herdivinity, her power. And that's and the sorcerers enemies thatwere drawn to her light. So in one side on Morgana's side, theirmother's off fighting these warsagainst enemies that that's causingthat's it's going to eventually bleedback to their family. So almost like she's beingselfish off fighting these warsand it's she's notprotecting her family enough.Like she's just kind of she's going toattract all these enemies, right? But on Cale's side, it's like, OK, she'she's like looking herdivinity and that she's drawing. These enemies are drawn to her light. And that's why he almoststeals them away to Demacia. You see what I'm saying?Yeah. So there's likethese little divide there.Yeah. And then then the cinematic, yousee like these words that saythere's like this blood in my veinsbecause that's their blood almostlike they share the sameblood from their mother. And you can see when Cale walks by, shealmost looks at Morgana with disgust. If you ever go back, like go back to 132,you can see Cale kind of walkby Morgana by because she dropped hermother's sword and she chose to useher own power instead. And Cale walks by and picks up theirmother's sword, like howdare you leave it behind? And then, you know, she doesher thing with both swords. And when you're saying that, it's sayingthis blood in my veins, I'm still here. And then it's crazy when you go into it.Yeah, yeah. And then look at the wordswhen you get to Yasuo Yasuo. You say maybe it's a far stretch.Like this is a story for Yasuo that'slike a vision of his future. If he gives up on everything that I won'tcome undone, because at this pointin this in this scene,Yasuo is coming undone.Would I brave the cold edgeto finish up what I've become?Because Yasuo isfighting for the piece of Ionia. But in the end of thisstory, you see Yasuo. He's like he's dying. He gets killed. And if you notice something, there's someuniformity between all of these deaths. And that's the wolf and the sheep who arethe kind of the harbingers of deathand runeterra. And so that arrow, youkeep seeing this arrow. So if you look at Atrox, when he dies, you can see he drops the sword.I feel like this would be better for acinematic deep dive.Man, I'm going to go too far.I'm going to go too far.But know that whenever you see thisarrow, there's likewhen Yasuo is about to dieand you see that arrow comingat him, it looks blue, right?Exactly like that. Yeah, the arrow of the sheep. That's the arrow that ends up killingYasuo, and that's why itlooks like the sheep's arrow. And the wolf and sheepalways give you a choice. So the sheep, like a lot of the people inthe Froyo would say, "I'mgonna die with the wolf.""I'm dying with the wolf tonight."If you look at some of the short stories, they say, "And the rest ofus will fight with the wolf."The reason they say that is because thesheep and the wolf are kind of theharbingers of death in Runeterra, and they give you a choice. The sheep is like a peaceful death.Like, you accept death, you embracedeath, and you go peacefully. The wolf is when you die fighting, andyou get to make a choice. The sheep and wolf come to you, and ifyou choose to fight, thenyou fight with the wolf, and the wolf will usually kill you, because he's the wolf and it's death, andyou can't fight death. But if you want to fight, you can fight with the wolf.If you want to go peacefully, then youcan go peacefully with the sheep. And that's why when you see at thebeginning, Tryndamere, he's surrounded, and he's on the ground. He's like basically in and out. He's about to die.But then he gets up andhe sees the sheep first. The sheep is always your first choice. And by the way, the reason it's going isblood in my veins again, is because bloodin the veins is very significant in thisin this show, not only becauseI mean, I'm going so far, not onlybecause they're theirancestry of their mother, but also trend.Amir, he has the blood of a trucks in himand that's like this blood rage. That's why his eyes turn red.Yeah, it's like a blood rage. And look, he gives him a choice rightwhen right when he rises again. He's about to die here.He rises again. I remember at thebeginning, he wassurrounded by a bunch of theenemies that he was about to fight likethey were just surrounding him.He was on the ground dying. And there's the wolf. He's fighting. The wolf that's biting him is reallyThe wolf and the sheep are adeath and everyone sees them. And if you're choosing to fight the wolf, that's because you're fightingwhat you're actuallyfighting in real life. It's not like they're actually there. They're almost like representatives.I think that they'rereal and you see them, but they're representative of what you'refighting in real life. And he's kills all of them. And you can see that thesheep kind of looks at himcuriously.dead yet because he has this blood in hisveins from Atrox andbecause he can't be killed. He can't be killed. He can't be killednormally. He should already be dead. The wolf should havealready taken him and he's apart. That's Ash and she kills who?The two guys behind him, they're real. He's really fighting them. And not only those two guys are dead, buteveryone else is dead around himthat he wassurrounding him at the beginning.Oh, my God.Now you understand, likethe wall for the sheep. He's he's hitting real guys.Yes, exactly. Exactly. While that's really cool. Now you see how cool the cinematic is andwhy it's so freaking high.Somehow even cooler than it already was.Yeah, I thought about doing a cinematicdeep dive of it, but I'm not sure.Maybe I will. Maybe I won't.I feel like I want to cover the lore soyou can understand it.Like, I feel like it's way cooler whenyou're watching it and you're like,oh, man, this is this like if I wouldrather do a video coveringwho Tryndamere is, and when you watch it,you're like, oh, Iknow who Tryndamere is.So then you understand the context andyou know who the wolf and sheep are.So you understand the context. But I might do a deep dive aswell of the cinematic later. But I don't just like react like when Ido a deep dive, you know, freakingthat's going to belike a 20 minute video.Yeah, I was going to say, ifyou're going to do a deep dive,it's going to be like that where youpause the video every like 10 seconds. Two seconds. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.To talk for like 10 minutes.Yeah. Like it's crazy howawesome this cinematic is.People are looking at itjust because it looks cool. But there's so much stuff in here. It's one of the bestcinematics I've ever seen in my life. It's crazy. Yeah, jeez. This thing might have gone too hard.Oh, no, I think you go hard enough. All right, we'll keep going. We'll keep going. Here we go.We're going to hang out on now. Now, now I feel stupid watching it.At first, I was like, wow, this is cool. You know, I'm sure I understand all this. And now after learning more, I realize Iunderstand nothing about the cinematic. Now I'm lost.Even at the beginning, that's Kaylin Morgana in Demaciabecause you know, they're in Demacia atthis point, but it's olden day Demacia. That's why it looks like, you know, pretty beat up.And you know that the dark and literallyformed these armies. That's you're you're literally seeing theend of like a huge warbetween the dark and Atrox and a group ofold Demacia and warriors whoI don't I don't think itwas called Demacia yet.Oh, my God. Oh, yeah, that's why.Yeah, it looks like it's straight up justlike wood and brick behind them.I was wondering what thatthis was or something like.Yeah, no, there's nothere's no petrocyte yet. There's no petrocyte yet at all.You don't have that clean white.Yeah, yeah, because the dark and warhappens before the rune wars. But you got to remember whenthey become infused in power.Yeah, when the dark and war happensbefore the rune wars. And so actually, so it musthave been that their motherwas not it wasn't the rune wars. She must have been fighting the dark andand that's why that'sand then her dad afraid of all this, thisthey're being drawn to the magicand they're fighting or whatever. He takes them to Demacia. And this is still either during the darkand war or maybe sometime after that, that because Atrox, you know, he wasaround for a whileafter that, his weapon. If that's a mortal, that mortal may bejust holding his weaponand being possessed by atrucks. That's a possibility.Yeah, so it's a lot of the.Yeah, because you see himdrop his weapon at the end. When he gets hit with thefire, he drops his weapon. And that may be like the human, themortal goes back to himself. But the dark and are always trying tojust build up these armies and attack. But I think this might be either rightafter the dark and waror maybe even during it.And then after that, you have like thepetra the rune wars, then the petrocyte and Demacia rises. But this is technically in Demaciabecause they go to the landthat would later be known as Demacia.Oh, I got you.Oh, my God, dude. And and this I'm really happy thatYasuo's this is notcanon, his canon death. Some people were likereally happy about it.I thought it was garbage.I was like, geez, man,Yasuo, wait a quick bro.I'm going to go to a great death. He did. It's awesome.Like, look at how hedied. He died fighting. He didn't like he was trying not to hurtanyone with his stick. And then he picked up thesword, just defend the people. And all of his attacks were defensive andhe's trying to like never kill anyone. And then he just gives himlike, but then he gives up.He basically quits like, I'm sorry, if hecan summon a wind wallat the end and chooses not to and ratherjust get hit by a bunch of arrows. That's like. That's meat sauce, bro.Yeah, what a cop out Yasuo, like way togive up on the world and just say,I'm done, I'm just goingto die to a bunch of arrows. Some people were happy about it.I really wasn't.I was like, if this is how Yasuo dies, like what a punk death.Like Yasuo needs to go out.Yeah, Yasuo needs to goout sacrificing himself, but giving it everything he's got andlike doing something amazingwhere he's like holding something off.It has to be epic.It can't be Yasuo closes his eyes andgoes peaceful into the darkness.Like, wouldn't it? No,that's not Yasuo, bro.Yeah, what idiot?Yeah, way to give up.People were happy about it.I was really like happythat this wasn't the case. That would have been theworst possible ending for Yasuo.I feel that because, you know, actually, the first time I watched this,I assumed that wasn't the end for himbecause I was good man.Literally, heliterally blocked like you say, literally blocked like a rain of arrowsless than a minute ago.I'm sure he can do that again. He's already shown thathe's capable of doing that. There's another cinematic where heliterally does that, like a volley of arrows are coming at himand he just goes like this.He does like an up wind strike and itjust all the arrows are gone.He just runs through. So he's capable, definitely. But in this case, like thisis a death where he gives up.Yeah, you know, andI'm happy that it's not.I'm happy that this is notlike what actually happens.I agree with you there. Definitely.Because, yeah, like I said, I thought wewere just like, you know, you're just cutting off. It's like, oh,the fight keeps going. But, you know, we're going to end itthere in the cinematic.Yeah. Oh, my God. Yeah.Yasuo better die.Cool. He deserves. Yeah.Yeah, man, it's like I loveI love the lines in the song. The songs are so fitting, like, becauseit could all end here. And it's Yasuo becauseit could all end there.Like, that's definitely a possibility. That's one of Yasuo's possible deaths. He gets shown like avision of his possible deaths. And that's one of thevisions that he sees. And that's cool, though, that he sees his deaths.I do like that. Yeah.Like as if as if Yasuo isalready not just this likeinsanely cool wise guy. He's just embraced the fact that he coulddie in all these different ways. And honestly, the onlyreason I have not already releasedlike my reaction and my deep dive intothe cinematic is I feel like I'm stilllearning little pieces and I don't wantto say anything wrong.Like, I need to know 100percent that this is truewhen I do the cinematic deep dive. And I could have definitely Ifeel like I could have done itlike the same day and just reacted to it.And oh, my God, these are my thoughts, because I already was awareof a lot of the stuff because I know I'mfamiliar with the lore. But I'm like, no, I wanted if I would dosomething, I want it to be really good. And I want to make surethat I'm I'm saying things likethat are 100 percent correct and thatyou'll see it and be like, oh, OK.Because then I feel like I'll mess it up.Like right now, I kill a Morgana.Yeah. Like, KaylaMorgana, I'm not confident yeton the exact time when it happened, and Ineed to know that before I do it.Yeah. Oh, it would be horribleif you do a deep dive on thisand then you later learn like like twodays later, you find outwhere exactly when exactly this happens.Exactly. The whole videois ruined at that point.Yeah. And I have if I if it was my fulltime, like I didn't have a joband everything, I would definitely likemaybe have had it out by now.But I'm going to focus on some otherstuff and maybe we'll kick it out later.Just fine. Yeah.I think it's worth it justfor how dense this thing is.It could have been like the.All right. There are like three differentstories happening hereand they all could havebeen their own cinematic.Absolutely. How the heck is this one fourminute long cinematic? How is that even possible? Is dense is real dense. It's that seriously, the word I thinkthat's the one word I would useto describe thiscinematic. It's dense as hell. And that's awesome.Like, they they really they're deadserious about how much storythey have to tell in Runeterra.Like they even tweeted out toit and they have a lot to do.Yeah, they even did a tweet out thatshows that all these abilitiesare actually cannon like their abilitiesthat they use in League of Legends. And they showed what they like showed ascene from the from the cinematicand then what that ability is like allthe abilities that they're usingare actually abilities that they use ingame in League of Legends. That's cool. Yeah.I like that. Oh, my God.Very. So what are your thoughts on?Let's move on to one next thing that Ireally want to talk about.I don't know if you've I don't know ifyou've read too much about itor seen too much about it.Bandletail, I'm really aboutBandletail because I don't.Did you ever play Stardew Valley? No, actually, I mean, to be honest,Stardew Valley is not seem likelike my kind of game, butI might pick up Bandletailjust because it's it's Bandle City andit's it's your dolls. It's it reminds me a lot of it.And I loved I loved Stardew Valley.I thought it was a great game. And Bandletail seems likeit's got that similar vibe. You know, I'm just I'm justgoing to go plant some crops.Oh, yeah, it's definitely a cozy game. That's for sure. You can tell right rightout of that first trailer. You know, like what kindof game it's going to be.It's going to be the game that you get onyour switch and you play. That's where I preordered on my switch.Oh, no question.Wait, is there going tobe a collector's edition?I already got it.I already preordered.Oh, of course there is.What is it? Whole line.So I like to get the dreamyat the live conquest reactions. The Bandle City.Well, luckily, there's no more riotforged because I can't keep affordingthese collector's editions and look likethey were ramping up.And I was about ready to ramp down.I was like, well, it was nice.I had them all, butit's looks like Pokemon.I'm just going tohave to give up on this. There's no way I catch on.Oh, wait, what are these? Hold up.They got little figures.Yeah, yeah, it looks real good.It looks real good.Yeah, I love this. What the heck, dude? OK.Little diorama stands up to you.Yeah, yeah. But the like like transcript what I'mseeing is we're in a podcast.Oh, my God. They got likelittle figures of famous yordles. It's very good. It's very good.I like I like the little figures a lot.I'm a big fan. They looklike they're like D and D size. They're like nice, like little 30 inch or30 centimeter figures.Heck, yeah, dude.Oh, my God. They evenhave like their little like. Can you put them in the pop up?They have like like a pop up book.Exactly. Exactly. It plays exactly what you do.That's amazing.I like the little pop ups.Put it right next to the song. The new one. I know.Yeah, I was going to say asong to do a similar thing.Yeah, where it's like popup cardboard sort of deal. And gosh, these look so cool. This one looks like it'slegit like you put it together.Like this is like a littleconstruction piece of like.Yeah, yeah, it's a couple of pieces.Yeah, dude, this is going to be awesome.Wait, what's the book? There's there's there'sa notebook that you get. That's just like the game box.Oh, art of making a bandle tail.Oh, you get an art book.I love the art books. The art books are great.Oh, my God, especiallyfor a game like Bandle Tail,it's going to be some sometasty Bandle City art in there. It's exactly like Yordle concept art.Oh, this collector'sedition is a hit for sure.Oh, my God.Oh, yeah. All in all, this is awhere you know what one daywe should do once once a yearcollector's edition forBandle Tales comes in.We have to do a tierlist of of good. Yes.Yeah, right.Right.Of course, collector'seditions will have them all.So we'll be able to rank them properly.Exactly.The full detail like review of each one.We will do a full tierlist of the right tier listslash review of the riot Forgecollector's edition. It'll be next month because next monthwhen we get the last one, then we'll do it.Oh, my God. Perfect.Yeah, yeah, we have to rank them.We have to do it properly. So I was thinking, where would I put this? But I put this aboveor below Ruined King.Ruined King is really good.Ruined King is freaking awesomecollector's edition.I know. Convergenceis really good, though.Convergence is one of my favoritesbecause the box is really cool.Yeah. And the statue with the light.Oh, my God. Like it comeswith a very cool echo statuewith legit like LED like spotlights thatshoot up towards him.Yeah. Just make him look extra dramatic.Oh, this is going to bewhen we need a scoring system.Art actually, because I actually thinkMage Seeker has the best boxbecause Mage Seeker's boxopens up like the two sides. That's true. Yeah. You're actually right about that.Yeah, it comes with alittle a little vinyl.I like it.Vinyl record. Yeah, the vinyl. For me, that's a plus.Yeah. Vinyl record definitely adds.I don't think there's a vinyl record. There's no one on record for Bandle too.But the littlefigurines. Yeah, no, there isn't.But honestly, yeah, little figurinesreally make it with the whole likebackground like set up that you get thiswhole little environment to put them in.This is cool. Oh, man.I'm a big yordle guy.All right.I like me yordles when they're right. You're going to play a yordle for sure.I'm going to play a yordle.Yeah, it's like zero doubt.I don't care if the character creationfor yordle specifically is like horrible.Like I don't care if everyone just lookslike Teemo and that's it.Like I'm going to play a yordle. All right. That's the end of that.So the Bandle tail, I'm taking thiscollection very seriously.I'm touching it very critically. So I'm saying a lot when Isay this looks phenomenal. We have to do we'll do it next month, butI want to get one last thing.I want to make sure Istate this conquest.Give me your predictions for 2024.This was a big announcement. We got some hints.Luckily, we didn't do this earlierbecause neither of uswould have predictedthe closing of riot Forge.Let's predict it now.Oh, man. OK.Give me your 2024 predictions. If you say a riotForge game, that's wrong.Yeah. Yeah, I'm expecting theIonia riot Forge game of 2024.Project L is I think by far theirfarthest long likenew title, I would say.So if we don't get a release date in2024, I'll be shocked. You're expecting arelease date, not a release. That's the thing.I think a release is possible for sure.I think a releasedate is like guaranteed.I'd be shocked if we don'tget a release date for Project Land it's either comingout this year or 2025.I can't see it going any later than that.Just given that they've already shown uslike four characters, five charactersthat are like fully playable, they havelike full stages setup now and stuff likethat game is pretty far along. That's definitely theirnext title to release.I would say.Especially compared to like Project F.Like, yeah, I don'treally know much about it.We just know it's a RPG. That's it.Yeah, I feel like it's on the same levelas like riot MMO, except, you know, obviously it was going totake way longer to produce. So like I'm going to say we're at thevery most for Project F.I'm not expecting much more than likemaybe a teaser trailer or some kind oflike developers likejust talking about it.Kind of like how they're talking aboutthe riot MMO, howthey've been doing that.Just like bringing itup every once in a while.I can definitely seethem continuing to do that.Maybe like release like anarticle talking about it.What's going to be about like whatcharacters are going to be involved?Locations. I can see them doing that.I definitely notexpecting anything substantial.Yeah, I feel like this is going to betheir year of justreally developing Project Fand getting that together for 2025 tolike show the big stuff,to really show their guns. And then and then wegot the Runeterra MMO.Oh boy.Man.That stuff. Do you think I'mnot going to get your opinions?I want to make sure myopinions are pure right now.I don't want to get any bias in here. For the riot MMO, I am expecting.Oh man.Do we get we get a cinematic for the riotMMO this year or next year?I think for sure to be this year or nextyear, we get some kind of like cinematicjust to show like thename, just like a title card. You know, I think this year it's honest.I'm with you on a lot of this.Oh man, I'm definitely not expectinganything more than a cinematicand title, you know, and title drop. The cinematic will be freaking insane ifthis was their season2024 League of Legends cinematic. My God, I think it'll be bigger. So yeah, that's the thing.I think it's going to be bigger, too. It's probably going to be some insane, like, you know, likemassive, like war level, just like tons of like like tons of likecharacters, you know, tons of likeyordles and vistaya alllike fighting and stuff.Oh, it's going to be cool. But I'm going to say we're not going tosee a cinematic until 2025.That's that's that'swhere I'm going to leave it.I think it's tough tosay this year or next year.Well, it will see a cinematic, but I'mgoing to say next year.I think we're going to keep seeing justlike them dropping new info about it.You know, like we mightget some level of like.Oh, you know, here's like some likestarting locations, maybe, you know, they might start dropping some info aboutit, just in like articles and stuff.Well, here's what I think.I think. Yeah.Project L is going tobe released this year. It's going to bereleased this year, guaranteed. No chance it goes into next year.Project F.We're definitely going to get like a lotmore news on that, almost like Project Llevel last year, where we really know wepretty much know what the game is,how it's going to look, that peopleplayed the alpha kindof thing like it's out.And we're just waiting for it to release.Project F will get thatkind of treatment this year. The Runeterra Amal, the Riot 15 yearanniversary showcase,I think we'll have theRuneterra MMO cinematic. And it's going to have the title. And then we're going to start gettingmore and more news, like big news after that. And I think, yeah, I think five.Yeah, that will startgetting big, big news about it.And then going into the following year,we'll have like 20, 25 will be alpha.2026 early will be beta andthen mid 2026 will be released. And that's my prediction.Yeah, I'm the same way where in terms ofrelease, I'm thinking 2026, 2027.Yeah, that's my guessfor the Riot MMO for sure. And just know I will not be heartbrokenif this doesn't happen.I'm I've got plenty.I'm still behind on the lore, I feel, even though I know a little bit.I feel like I don't know anything I needto do all tons of tons of character lorevideos that I still got todo, tons of short stories. So I need the time. But I do think that the 15 yearanniversary, we'regoing to see the cinematic, the title Project L is coming out thisyear and Project F is going to getthe same treatment asProject L from last year.Path of Champions, I think is going tohave some stories in it.We'll get like some new storymode in the Path of Championsthat really tries tofill the gap of Riot Forge. And I think League of Legends is going tohave something story driven releasedsimilar to like Sentinels of Light thatreally, yeah, that really tells a storyand has cinematics tied to it.Oh, that could be really cool. That could be a reason toactually get into League.Yeah. And then, ofcourse, like not a prediction.Arcane season two is November.Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's already announced, right? We're getting season two November.Yeah, yeah, that's that's guaranteed. They even said it'son track in their post.Oh, man, dude, that's exciting.Yeah, I think regardless, we're going towe're going to get some stuff.Stuff is coming fromRiot, that's for sure.Oh, yeah. That's the one thingwe can say guaranteed.Things will come andthey'll come from Riot.Yeah. Well, I think I think weI think we hit all the points that Ireally wanted to touch on.We're going to leavesome stuff for next time.So I do hope you enjoyed this episode.Glad to be back.It feels good to be back inthe port city of Bilgewaterright here in the Brazen Hydra pub.You can find me at andprove on socials and YouTube andyou can find me atconquest 95 on Twitter. You can stay up to date onthe goings on for this podcastspecifically by following atthe Brazen Hydra on Twitter, where you can use you can add usquestions, suggest topicsfor what to talk about. And you can find us atthe brazen Hydra dot com. Thanks for stopping by andwe'll see you in the next one.
