Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the Pure Possibilities podcast. We are on day four already, if you can believe it, of the mini series. Where Do I Begin? I hope you've been enjoying this, because I have been enjoying creating this for you. It's funny. I've been talking a lot recently about creativity and how I didn't used to believe that I was creative and I'm starting to open my mind to that a little bit more and, honestly, creating a podcast is a form of creativity, right?

Speaker 1:

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's exercise of creating a pause in your day and I so hope that you took a few minutes to program some alarms into your phone. You know, like I said, I have mine every hour and sometimes people you know have them at like 9, 12, 3, 6, 9, whatever, just so it goes off sporadically. I've also had some people who have programmed them like every 30 minutes. You know, whatever feels good to you. This is what it's about what feels good for you. So that is a fun practice that I really enjoy and I'm hoping that you're getting like you're feeling into where I'm going with all of this. We are looking to help you feel better and these little things that we're doing. You may be surprised at how good you start to feel, and this kind of goes back to looking inside for our happiness rather than looking outside. Because when you can really tap in to yourself, in what feels good to you and what you enjoy doing and what brings you true, authentic joy, then the stuff going on around you just doesn't matter as much. You know All the drama and the chaos and all those things, because when you honestly it's a way of like taking back your power, and when you start to do that, like, oh, this is really cool, and then things don't necessarily bother you for as long. And you know we all have ups and downs in our day. I mean, I certainly do, I definitely do Like I'm not. I'm gonna be very honest about that. I absolutely do. But I don't stay in those moments as long because I have these practices in place to help me navigate through it.

Speaker 1:

Today we're gonna talk about allowing ourselves to see and feel the pleasure and magic in the micro moments throughout the day. So you might be asking yourself what in the heck is she talking about? You will always hear me say that I start my day by dancing. Well, that's not entirely true. I start with meditation and then I go into the dancing, and these are things that I do honestly, proactively, to help myself feel good, like I start my day off in a high energy, in a high vibration, and so, as things do come up throughout my day, it's a little more difficult to pull me down because I'm already in an elevated state, and this is what I'm talking about. So I meditate, I dance, and then last week I was.

Speaker 1:

I had a day where I was dancing in the shower and then I was shaking my booty while I was putting my makeup on, and then I decided that I have some eyeshadow that's like extra sparkly and I love to sparkle. So I decided that I was gonna put on extra sparkly eyeshadow and I was just going to work. It wasn't anything exciting, it wasn't like I was going out on a night on the town or something, but I was like that would be fun, I wanna have sparkles. And then I have a lotion that I absolutely love. It smells incredible and I love it, and I couldn't find it for like a year I think it was about a year and so I finally found some and I ordered a few tubes of it. But I joke around and I call it my stripper glitter. I put it on my chest and it smells amazing and I just like stop, and I take in the scent as I put it on.

Speaker 1:

And then I was going out the door and I had a thought and I turned around and I went back because I thought maybe I had left my flat iron on, and I did, and so I went back and turned it off and then I left and I went to go grab a coffee and I went in and I've become very friendly with the baristas at Starbucks and even today actually, I went in and I was getting like the a wave what's that wave called Like a wave from, like a pageant, like the pageant wave the manager when I went in and it was just funny and they're all saying hi and I was like, oh my gosh, all of my favorite people are working today and what an amazing way to start my day. And then I went out to my car and was enjoying my coffee every single sip of my coffee as I was heading to work. And then I was looking at the sky and it was so beautiful and so magnificent and it hit me and I actually ended up doing it real. So you may have heard part of this story if you are following me on social media, but I was like that's it.

Speaker 1:

It's truly about allowing yourself to see and feel the pleasure and the magic and the micro moments through your day and just truly, truly being present in all of those moments, because that's really what it's all about. You know, do you ever hear people say the joy is in the journey? And I used to be like, oh my God, what does that even mean? What does that mean? And I get it now, because what if there isn't an end goal? What if there is no end goal? What if it's really truly enjoying every single moment of every single day as often as you can? Because really, if you have this big, massive goal, at the end, you're probably going to want something else after that and something else after that.

Speaker 1:

So, are we ever truly, truly satisfied? Well, I'm satisfied in my daily life, absolutely. But if I'm always wanting more and wanting more and wanting more and wanting something different, what we really want is that feeling. You want the feeling of what is on the other side. And so why not create those moments for yourself throughout the day, literally by just being present and enjoying that cup of coffee or that cup of tea, and enjoying the sunset or the clouds in the sky or the flowers that are around you, and all the beauty and nature, and how you can raise your energy by dancing and just really enjoying all of those moments.

Speaker 1:

So that is what I would love for you to focus on. You don't necessarily need to make a list. It's about being conscious and aware of what's going on around you and allowing yourself to see that, rather than looking at the negative. If we want to see something negative, we're just going to keep drawing that in, like, if you look for it, you're going to find it, but the opposite is true also. What if the opposite were true? There's another great what if for you, what if the opposite were true? What if you allow yourself to see the beauty and the magnificent in every single day? So that's what I would invite you to do today and every day. Honestly, today's another short one. These are fun. I'm really having a good time doing this. So tomorrow is our last day, so I look forward to being with you again and I hope you have been enjoying this little mini series. I hope you have a beautiful, beautiful day, much love.
