Speaker 1:

It's lovely to see your faces again. It's been a long time. I hope you stay frozen like that the whole show.

Speaker 2:

Yes, we can hear you Pearly whites?

Speaker 3:

We got those pearly whites showing. Oh shit, I like we're gone for two weeks and all of a sudden everything just falls apart. How are you doing, boys? Oh, there we go, like we're gone for two weeks and all of a sudden everything just falls apart, or is it? How are you doing, boys? Oh there we go. He just went black, screen went black, the movie, actually the movie just started in Lou's house and all the lights went out. And that's how you guys doing. Good, yeah, dude, yeah, yeah. I went to brunch this morning and I came home and watched Red Zone in the afternoon and none of the games were interesting at all. I was like what the hell is going on All these games? The scores just suck. I was just like, okay, that is nice of you. Yeah, at least you'll look forward to listening to your sports radio this week.

Speaker 1:

Exactly.

Speaker 3:

And this week is the first college playoff announcement. Right the rankings. Well, this is the official like first. Like, these are the teams that are going to be part of.

Speaker 2:

Like well, yeah, it's gonna matter.

Speaker 3:

Well, so I mean it matters in the way I think that it gives teams who aren't going to be winning their conference an idea about if they're actually going to make the playoffs or not. Right, so you got your default ones, like your Oregon and your Alabama.

Speaker 2:

Ohio State, the conference champions.

Speaker 3:

Right, I mean not that those have been determined yet, because they still got to play the game, but I think this is like the first week that they do the point system with the computer.

Speaker 2:

Well, there isn't a point system. That was the old BCS. Now it's based off of rankings.

Speaker 3:

But I think this is the first computer one. No, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

There isn't a computer one. It's based on the top four from the Power 5 conferences. Those are your top four Cs. They Top four from the Power 5 conferences, those are your top four Cs. They get the buys and then it's the next of the other conferences, top ones, and then it's the rankings of the AP rankings and stuff like that. So there is no old school computer system anymore.

Speaker 3:

I thought there was something that was coming out this week. That was different.

Speaker 2:

No, no, here's the thing. You might be right. What they used to do is they'd have the, the top four, uh, for the who's gonna make the playoffs, uh, and then they go from there and then it would never be the same. So week one is never the same as week five, when it's finalized, or week six, whatever. That's my point. Who can't like? Why are they still doing that? Because the only rankings to get the seating that's going to matter is going to be the final one. So, oh, because all all you're gonna, we're gonna see tomorrow is is this is what it would be like if we ended the season today. It's like who cares?

Speaker 3:

we don't like they've been doing the nfl for the last four weeks yeah, exactly I hate that.

Speaker 2:

So annoying, not Not even half the season.

Speaker 3:

If the season ended today, here's what the playoffs would be.

Speaker 2:

Okay everybody's four and one Like come on Right, they're like the Broncos would be the five seed. I'm like the Broncos are going to win no more than seven games this year just because they're five and three. Now now five and four. It's like what a joke. It's. It's so stupid. So it's like I could, like I said it'll be, if the season were to end right now. This is who's in. I'm like, yeah, don't care. I've never, even even before the 12 team playoff and they did it with the 14 playoff didn't care then either, because it was it never how it started, has never been how it ended, so doesn't matter to me uh well, I guess we never I mean we never really talked about college a whole lot.

Speaker 2:

So what teams do you follow in college, or do you just follow it overall, like there is somewhat of an overall, but I will follow usc and unlv okay, okay, uh, I like don't be wrong, I can respect the other teams. Some other teams like other things like I don't mind cu living out here in boulder. I'm a see you fan per se, but I don't mind them. It's dion was a little bit annoying last year and early part of this year, but he's calmed down and shut the hell up and just coaching his team and let the product this year exactly.

Speaker 2:

He's like. He's letting the play on the field and now they're likely to be a. I mean, looking at their schedule, they are a 10 and 2 or 9-3 team when all's said and done, which is freaking amazing, considering two years ago they were 1-11.

Speaker 3:

So it looks like they're 6-2 right now.

Speaker 2:

They're 6-2, third in the Big 12.

Speaker 3:

And 17th overall.

Speaker 2:

Are they ranked 17th?

Speaker 3:

I'm looking at the AP Bowl for.

Speaker 2:

I think they're ranked 21,. I thought.

Speaker 3:

Well, I'm looking for week 11. Is it Week 11.?

Speaker 2:

Hang on. So we're only in college football, like week 7, 8, 9?

Speaker 3:

Oh, this is the last one for week 11. We're in week 11.

Speaker 2:

Well, I guess, if you count that preseason, week 0 from August, but CU should be ranked 21, and Kansas State, right behind him in the same conference, should be ranked 22. I was looking at it earlier today.

Speaker 3:

So in the AP top 25, they're 21, and in the coaches' poll they're 24.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, nobody really cares about the coaches' poll anymore. It's all the AP. Yeah, the coaches' poll wasn't even used for the BCS, I think the last couple years.

Speaker 3:

So they pulled them because it's just weird how they did it. Somehow Notre Dame dropped two spots. I'm not happy about that. They didn't even play this week Jerks.

Speaker 1:

Fighting your day off.

Speaker 3:

Exactly, I know, huh.

Speaker 2:

I'm okay with that. As a USC fan, I get to hate on Notre Dame, that's right.

Speaker 3:

Everyone hates on Notre Dame, it's.

Speaker 2:

Not everyone the Catholics like them, they travel well.

Speaker 3:

That's the Catholics. They do travel well.

Speaker 2:

They're probably the most or the best well-traveled team in college football. I don't think it's close, yeah, which is why every year they play quote-unquote home games at some neutral field around the country so their fans can go watch them play.

Speaker 3:

Well, that's how I saw. That's how I took my dad to go watch them play. That's how I saw. That's how I took my dad to go see them play BYU last year.

Speaker 1:

Was it last year.

Speaker 2:

I think it was last year Something yeah, last year you did Minnesota game. Was it the same year? Both games in the same year? Yes, last year was when you went to go see the Vikings and the Raiders. Yeah, that's another one. Vikings should go. They just won one. They should win the next three as well.

Speaker 1:

We'll see what happens.

Speaker 2:

You know Detroit up there running away with it.

Speaker 3:

Their defense really showed up today, though, jesus.

Speaker 2:

I don't know, if I go that far, I mean by default yes, they did, they got know. If I don't know, if I go that far, I mean by default, yes, they did they got what I don't know 27 sacks and well, they just kept them out of the end zone, like they kept the cold kept them out of the red zone, dude they didn't even get inside the 20 tonight.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so that to me is that to me is huge, because that's not the last couple weeks. The last couple weeks have been, have been rough, but yeah, everyone's like oh, good job, colts way, way to put Joe Flacco in to show Anthony Richardson what a real quarterback is supposed to do.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, as he misses pass after pass and dump off after dump, I think all the way around. Richardson rubbed off on Flacco and now Flacco looks like shit man. That's horrible. At least my team didn't lose today, or one of my teams Granted. They didn't play, but you can't lose if you don't play.

Speaker 3:

That's true. That's true. The bye is always the worst. I mean, I appreciate the bye, especially if you get a late bye, but yeah, yeah, I've always been on the side of all.

Speaker 2:

The byes should be handled in like a four-week period between weeks like 9 and 12. Just take the league, there's 32 teams. So eight teams are off in week nine, eight, week ten, eight. Because I don't know how fair it is if it matters, but for me I don't think it's fair that you have some team has a week five by and some team has a week 14 buy. Nobody had a buy week eight, which made no sense to me. Um, so it's like what do you? What are you guys doing? I would want the buys closer to the middle to split the season yeah versus oh.

Speaker 2:

We're down to the last four weeks of the season. Oh, I get a buy before that, uh okay.

Speaker 3:

I mean, like best case scenario is that you have a thursday night game your buy and then a sunday or monday night game.

Speaker 1:

Like that's not, that would ever happen to the bangles, though I think they have. I think next week's they're by or they're playing. Oh, they're playing this thursday, so they play tonight. They're playing thursday bye, and then I think they're playing next sunday or something no sunday night football okay.

Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, then you get the max, especially if you guys it doesn't really matter if you don't have guys that aren't hurt. I feel like the buy is just really for teams where maybe you have guys who are dinged up a little bit and not necessarily are hurt enough to not play or be off beyond the IR or whatever.

Speaker 2:

I always thought it was a good time to hurt enough to not play or be off, you know, be on the IR or whatever. But that, uh, you know, I always thought as a good time to uh, you know, assess your situation If you want to do anything new. Obviously the injury recovery is is a good thing as well, but, but. But that's another reason why I'd like it to be a little more fair. By fair I mean, within that four-week period, have everybody taken at the same time, because what you can't do is everybody have a buy in nfl's off one week in the middle season.

Speaker 1:

That would the money lost there.

Speaker 2:

That ain't happening, so you can't even do half. Okay, so fine, cut it into quarters, because a lot of times I don't think I haven't checked. I haven't checked this year, but in the past they used to have um have up to six teams off at a time. It was like two, anywhere between two, four or six, and never more, never less. Which is why I was surprised when the buy started that week. It had no buys. It made no sense to me. But okay, just make them all eight. It's not between, again, between nine and 12, so it's fair for everybody, everybody's, roughly. I mean whoever had a buy in 9 versus 12,. Okay, fine, that could be a little different, but it's better than 5 and 14. Like, the Lions had their buy in week 5, and there are some teams that are going to have their buy in week 14.

Speaker 3:

It's like uh, I think the Colts don't have their buy until 14.

Speaker 2:

They popped up that little schedule. You're right, that popped up at the end of the game and there it was.

Speaker 3:

The teams this week that had a buy actually I think had a little bit of an advantage because if you're going to make a trade, like you can make a trade any time last week or this week and you have time to bring them in. Like you could have made a trade on Friday and they would get a whole week to to absorb the stuff without having to be like, oh, is he going to play this week? You know.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's a good point with with the deadline on Tuesday. Uh, the the who who was off to Pittsburgh, san Francisco, uh, those two for sure. Let's see. I don't remember who else. I know those two because I had players on both teams that were on bye this week. Watch it be this those two guys. Did we miss anybody? Week 9 byes.

Speaker 3:

Nope, just the Steelers and 49ers.

Speaker 2:

Steelers and 49ers Okay.

Speaker 3:

Next week is Week 10. Next week are Broncos, packers Raiders and Seahawks Packers Raiders Seahawks.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 1:

They just posted that the Raiders fired Luke Getzey yeah.

Speaker 3:

Well, I didn't see the game, but how about? I mean, it didn't look good when I looked at it early on, is it?

Speaker 1:

It was close the first half.

Speaker 2:

Ish, yeah, that's fair. I mean, how are you going to trade away Devontae Adams? You didn't re-sign Josh Jacobs. Expect some kind of offense and fire the offensive coordinator because you don't have an offense Right offense. That's some bullshit.

Speaker 3:

And you have quarterbacks who one you drafted, but none of those guys were. I don't think the coaching staff was the one that hired that or drafted O'Connell right.

Speaker 2:

No, but they brought in Minshew though.

Speaker 3:

Well, and then they have Minshew, who's been I mean Average, and then you have Ritter, who again Low, average.

Speaker 1:

Like you, let him go.

Speaker 2:

He was okay in Atlanta. He just wasn't for that offense.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, but I mean again, now you're putting him in a all three. None of your quarterbacks are top tier or even mid-tier. Really I mean I'm not again. I could not play NFL quarterback, so I'm, you know. But I mean, when you have guys out there who are making terrible decisions and just either eating the ball or You're throwing to Trey Tucker, jacoby Myers, the only offense you have is Brock Bowers.

Speaker 2:

Your running game is garbage. It's hard Again, it's hard to blame the offensive coordinator when you got shit, it's like oh this chef is terrible. Well, you gave him rotten food to prepare, so what do you expect?

Speaker 3:

And your O-line is not.

Speaker 2:

Exactly.

Speaker 2:

Two shakes right, it's like the Giants. Everyone's like, oh my God, the Giants quarterback sucks and all this. Like you know, he's running for his life every five seconds. Right, and it's like it's like caleb williams and the bears he's gonna be good when their line is worth the damn. But, oh my god, I I remember watching a fourth down play today and it's like okay, fourth or whatever, he just needs time set up. Though.

Speaker 2:

No, soon as the ball was snapped, there were two people in the background, two in the backfield. It was like get out of here, man, you can't block for shit. Yeah, you have to match, protect. You basically have to keep a running back and a tight end in to help block. You have seven people on the line, minimum, uh, and then have the four and then have the um, uh, three, the three receivers out in route. That's that's the only way you're going to protect. The chicago bears can do. It's that bad out there. And that's what's happening with Danny Dimes in New York. It's like, well, when your offensive line is struggling, what are you supposed to do? Not to mention fucking away Saquon Barkley in the offseason, not smart Mr Hoops.

Speaker 1:

Moving on from the foosball.

Speaker 2:

Yep, what do we got?

Speaker 1:

Skeleton Crew. Did you guys watch the trailer?

Speaker 3:

The one trying to ball. Yep, what do we got Skeleton Crew. Did you guys watch?

Speaker 2:

the new trailer, the Skeleton Crew trailer. I think I did. I know I watched the Marvel stuff, so I think I watched it. What do you think? I'm still not impressed.

Speaker 1:

Major. Tom and Hutt. He's in the background. He's badass though.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yes.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I watched it.

Speaker 2:

Here's what.

Speaker 3:

I realized when I was watching. It was like, okay, I don't have kids, so I can't relate to the show at all, because all I did was just be annoyed by those kids. Let's do this stupid shit. Oh, look, now we have a spaceship. Oh now. Oh, don't hit that button. Oh, I hit that button. Oh, now we're in hyperspace, like I, I, and if I had kids I probably would feel different about it. But with not having kids, I, I couldn't and I'm too old now to just like associate with it I, I don't know, I don't know it, it has a goonies vibe to me.

Speaker 1:

That's the way they keep marketing it, so I agree with that I mean.

Speaker 3:

I just wasn't impressed with the trailer at all.

Speaker 2:

The trailer didn't do anything to make me excited about the show I was actually I hear you I was actually hyped to watch the Acolyte based off the trailer. I'm not hyped to watch this based off the trailer. So maybe that's a good thing, Because the way the Acolyte turned out was garbage. Maybe this will flip it around.

Speaker 3:

Maybe my standards will be lowered enough that Jude Law and whoever will impress me.

Speaker 1:

They did say that a Hondo ship is in the background during the trailer, so Hondo that's a win.

Speaker 3:

I think I saw somebody say that he was going to be a, that they thought he was going to be in the show to one level or to one level or another. So hell yes.

Speaker 2:

Long as they get the right voice on them, my my problem is.

Speaker 3:

My problem is the going back to what we've talked about before with Kenobi and acolyte and stuff like that. That entire trailer felt like everything was filmed in the volume. I didn't feel any space. There was no like expansive views or world that I felt like they. I felt like they were in a room and again, maybe the trailer is just pointing me to the wrong direction, but I I didn't feel any uh universe, like there was no grand open space. It all felt very compact and very they're all in rooms or cantinas or whatever.

Speaker 2:

Let's see, let's find out what skeleton crew, is that some chat GPI thing or whatever it's called GPT? Or just general Google search, just general Google, google search. Just general Google.

Speaker 3:

Even though they're building where they'll put like a little AI. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but when I go to Google they'll put like a little AI blurb at the top. Now.

Speaker 2:

Which is fine. What does GPT stand for?

Speaker 3:

in chat. I don't know. I'll look that one up.

Speaker 2:

There you go. I use it all that much so.

Speaker 3:

Pre-trained transformer architecture. That's too much.

Speaker 2:

GPTA.

Speaker 3:

Which is a type of neural network that trained on vast amounts of textual data to produce human-like language outputs. Human-like, okay.

Speaker 2:

Generative, pre-trained transformer If you start speaking, fucking Gen Z, then I'll worry.

Speaker 3:

Bro Skibity.

Speaker 1:

Skibity Riz.

Speaker 3:

Exactly, your Riz is nice today, brah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they did use the volume.

Speaker 2:

You called it.

Speaker 3:

So I mean I'm sure it'll be fine, and I mean I guess the other news would be the Ray movie.

Speaker 1:

And they did matte paintings so they did like old school shit too. Okay, I mean, I didn't see that in the trailer and they brought back Phil Tippett for it, so they got baller shit working on this. He came out of retirement To work on the paintings.

Speaker 2:

I heard that one before.

Speaker 1:

We can have a conversation About this later that shit has been officially wrapped Since January 22nd of 23. Damn, that's a lot of effects, dang. That shit has been officially wrapped since January 22nd of 23. It's just now coming out, damn.

Speaker 2:

That's a lot of effects.

Speaker 3:

Dang. Well, I mean between that and the Marvel trailer this week like.

Speaker 1:

I dug that I liked everything in that trailer Really.

Speaker 2:

Everything you didn't like the.

Speaker 1:

Wakanda stuff did you?

Speaker 2:

Nope.

Speaker 3:

Real quick. I feel like I'm going to have a little controversial take here, but I'm fine with the writer of the Rey movie going away. I think just let it die. Please, for the love of God, just stop Going back to the skeleton crew crew trailer.

Speaker 3:

all I did through that entire thing was go gee, I wonder which one of them's gonna be Luke's grandkid, or which one of them is gonna be related to fucking Palpatine, because we can't fucking just have an original story that doesn't have anything to do with them anymore, like it, so we did it with the acolyte.

Speaker 3:

But then when I? But then when I heard that the ray writer left and they don't have a director or writer now, I'm like just pay her and let it go, like just stop, I don't know, I want more ray, I like ray. I here's my thing. Like I just don't want that series to continue anymore. Like I'm good with the Skywalker saga. I have the Blu-ray set, I have the box set. It has a beginning and an end. I'm good with it. I don't need more movies.

Speaker 2:

More Skywalker.

Speaker 3:

Right, I don't want to have to go buy the appendices of the next three movies. So I'm fine staying in the star wars universe. I want more star wars stuff, but I don't. I don't want it to be forced into that, shoehorned into like well, we got to continue this. These two people could. These two families are the only families that matter in the entire galaxy.

Speaker 2:

It's just like, yeah, I'm they can skip ahead 100 years, bring back Legends and do Darth Talon.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, or go back again, Do Darth, talon. Hell yeah, do your.

Speaker 2:

High Republic stuff.

Speaker 3:

Make sure she's wearing that outfit too.

Speaker 2:

Nah, they need to go to Dawn of the Jedi. I mean, they need to go back that far. They are Right. Somebody's doing that. Rian Johnson's trilogy is supposed to. I thought.

Speaker 1:

No, it's Shit. Who is it?

Speaker 3:

I think, it's the guy that did.

Speaker 2:

Oh wait.

Speaker 3:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

Nehemiah, I thought it was going to be the guys from the Game of Thrones, but I think that got cancelled.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that one got cancelled pretty recently, I think, right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. But somebody is making an origin of the Jedi movie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, wasn't Rian Johnson doing it? No?

Speaker 3:

He was doing his own. Thing. I thought.

Speaker 2:

Which is fine, I guess, unless they want to do, I'm sure, all the talk. People would want to see a Revan storyline as well do something new, different right exactly which is why the Dawn of the Jedi or Origin type of thing would be. Then you can't necessarily connect it to any of that shit and it's like, okay, great, the only connections that should be with that would be maybe, octo, maybe.

Speaker 1:

Why that's the first temple.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and Rogue One. What the hell was that planet? Either way.

Speaker 1:

The temples.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, jedha, those are the only ones that should have any kind of connection.

Speaker 3:

Or Ilum. Yeah yeah, jedi, those are the only ones that should have any kind of connection or Ilum.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, those are the ones where you have an offshoot connection and not directly, like you're talking about.

Speaker 3:

I don't care if they have locations that are the same, right. They can even have some characters that overlap, right? You want to put Yoda in? Cool, that's fine. But just don't be like oh well, dawn of the Jedi, guess who? The first is Adam and Eve, where one was a Palpatine and one was a Skywalker, and that's how they started, like you know, and that would be garbage, right.

Speaker 3:

But that's my concern is they're going to say we're going to do Dawn of the Jedi and it'll be amazing, and you guys read the books and read the comics, so you know all about it. And then they're going to be like oh, adolphus skywalker, hello, how are you doing matilda palpatine? Let's fuck. Oh, now we are the most important beings in the entire universe for the next thousand years, like 20, 25 000 years. Yeah, 25 000 years. Sorry, that was a rant.

Speaker 2:

We can talk about that later no I don't even know, I don't even know how much of a rant, that is, I don't think, I don't think we disagree. Uh, it's like nobody want. I'm with you, like you want to see something different. That's why a lot of people who who care for a last jedi, um care for last jedi because it was like, oh, she doesn't have to be related to anybody, nobody, uh, that's yep, and that was okay and that was okay for that time.

Speaker 2:

but again, that movie just didn't fit for what it was doing. I say it all the time I didn't mind that movie as a standalone. I minded it because it was part of the trilogy.

Speaker 1:

But it's only because Reza Skywalker undid all of it. If they had continued with her being nobody, it would have been fine.

Speaker 3:

But again, sorry, go ahead. I was going to, but it goes back to what we've said before, that they never had a plan. Yeah, how they were gonna do the three movies to begin with and that's the only, that's the shitty part.

Speaker 3:

Right is like oh yeah, if, if colin trovero gets to do his movie and continues to take to while out star wars and rise of skywalker, then that's then sure, there's going to be a segment of people that are excited about that. But when you don't have feloni or favreau or whoever, the buck stops with him. And this is how this is gonna. You can even say jj abrams, right, like whatever. Like if jj abrams came in and said look, I'm gonna direct the first one, but I'm gonna be the guiding hand for all three, cool, then at least you have somebody who at who knows how it's going to begin, knows how it's going to end.

Speaker 3:

I honestly don't think they had an ending. When they made force awakens, they were just like oh, okay, we're gonna, we're going to have him. Oh, we lost Lou, I think oh no, I just saw him blink.

Speaker 2:

Never mind, no, I'm just saying he's still listening, because I listened to that and was like, yeah, I agree, but that's Kathleen Kennedy's job, that wasn't JJ Abrams' job, that wasn't Rian Johnson's or Rian Johnson's job. It was Kathleen Kennedy's job to have that all set up before they started and it didn't happen.

Speaker 3:

But a lot of people want to keep giving her a pass, but she doesn't deserve it. But again, or she should have passed it on to somebody. There was no where the buck didn't stop with anybody. At Lucasfilm, I guess, is my point. You could say, kathleen Kennedy, you could say we could have arguments on who should have taken responsibility and responsibility and who didn't, but nobody did. I think is the biggest problem.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, the fact that nobody did it at all. Right that you know.

Speaker 3:

and then you know again. You have disney, who I think they were trying to take a hands-off approach with star wars and when things, when the, when the discourse just got too chaotic. Now they're they, they tried to come in and then, with the, I think the timing of the trilogy ending and the pandemic and everybody moving to streaming and I'm not having movies, like, are them not having movies? And theaters, I think them not having movies in theaters, I think all of those things like contributed to just this chaos that we've had for three years with Marvel, with Star Wars, where there's no consistency, there's no, nobody's watching the, nobody's watching the henhouse, right, and the wolves are in and the wolves are doing whatever the fuck they want to do and nobody's like hey, robert Rodriguez, it's great that you want to do a boba fett story, let's just do a four episode arc and you're in, you're out.

Speaker 3:

And I think, like book of boba fett would have been a much better show if they would have given him a four or five episode season and had a beginning and had an end. It didn't have 40, you know 45 minutes of flashbacks every single episode, you know as an example. But you know that then you can say now we can have a third, or our third season of mandalorian starts way earlier, or now third season becomes the third season, fourth season becomes the fourth season, you know. But I mean, even with mandalorian, like, you have episodes with like jack black and lizzo and stuff, which is fine, that's fine, but but I'm saying one-off episodes, right, my point is the one-off episodes are fine, but when you don't have anybody who is minding again, minding the hen house, you have this stuff where people come in and they just start doing random things that just don't.

Speaker 3:

Where are you going with this? What's the? You know, cool, okay. So now we're doing an Enemy of the Week episode Cool, okay. Well, no, now we got to go back to talking about a bunch of lore and bullshit that you know we talked about three episodes ago, four episodes ago, you know. So four episodes ago.

Speaker 2:

Well, at least Agatha got it right. I'll tell you that much.

Speaker 3:

You made it all the way through, Lou.

Speaker 2:

In two days. We watched one through three on Tuesday and then four through nine on Thursday. Nice, it was one of these. Do I want to blake it up even more? No, I was so into it that I wanted to finish it. It was that good Halloween night to finish the series.

Speaker 1:

We're not getting sugar-truers here.

Speaker 2:

That show had each you had yourself contained that was going on one through nine. It had their own thing going on and then it fit, one through nine as a whole. It fit. Or they didn't force it into the universe, but they included the universe of the marvel, the marvel universe. So, granted, I wish, because, just because I have friends that I talked to at work or otherwise, um, they said they didn't think they had to watch wandavision and I would disagree. I think you need to watch WandaVision to fully, to fully follow this show, because you're not going to get a lot of the stuff now they might have fixed it in previously on, but I skipped every previously on since I watched WandaVision.

Speaker 2:

So if they took care of it then then no problem. You're good to go. You don't need to watch wandavision. But but if they didn't do that in the previously on, then you really should probably watch wandavision before you watch this.

Speaker 1:

You do need to watch wandavision, because it was good oh, that also, I mean, yeah.

Speaker 2:

I mean, once you get through the first three and a half episodes, yeah, yeah, the back half of episode three and the rest of it, holy shit, it was fantastic. And now that you can binge it and don't have to wait to do that, um, just understand folks, if you, if you jump out there, uh, you will be fine. You're gonna be glad you watch wandavision. Just know you're gonna suffer through the first three and a half episodes. Agatha, freaking, phenomenal. A little bit predictable, I mean. I saw a lot of that was coming, but I didn't care. It was like, oh yeah, I was right. It was like, oh yeah, I was right. I didn't even care that I was right, it was still too damn good they did. What is there? Lillia's story, the clairvoyant girl, and how they came back and forth for different episodes, and it was like what is she randomly saying that it all came together? Oh my god, it was very well done, yeah yeah, they were saying that.

Speaker 1:

um, at the end, agatha used all of their powers to beat death and save, uh, wiccan, because she used the clairvoyancy to duck the sink. She used the healing power to heal Wiccan, and then something else, some potion or plant or whatever.

Speaker 3:

So she used everyone's power from the previous episodes, but didn't use their power Right. They used their expertise, not their power Right.

Speaker 2:

That was super cool.

Speaker 3:

What did you think, Jack?

Speaker 1:

I liked it, I really did, and the witch's road is a banger yeah, it is.

Speaker 3:

I like that, it was bullshit. And then when you look back and you think, oh, that's why she, that's why she looked at the camera when the gate showed up, when the doors showed up, because she was like, uh, the fuck Wait what?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean Catherine.

Speaker 3:

Hahn just knocked it out of the park showed up because she was like, uh, the fuck, wait, what? Yeah, yeah, um, I mean katherine hahn just knocked it out of the park like I mean she's she like fully.

Speaker 3:

I mean she like tony stark, robert downey jr, level of, yeah, association with that character, like just leaned in so hard to that. But I mean that's I in watching interviews and with her, that's like kind of how she is. She's very like when you're talking about a serious topic she's very like right with you and we're here. But then when you're having fun and it's a laugh like she gets, she can be fill up the room like with with her laugh and her. You know expressiveness and you know expressiveness and so like when you find a person, an actor, who is like that naturally and you just go oh, by the way, you just got to learn to do this Right Like you know when you have somebody that can.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, when you have somebody that can do this and make it look natural, right Like it.

Speaker 2:

I like that she was doing that even without the powers.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, cause she was so used to it for three 400 years that she still kept. I mean like watching her and I was like, what is she doing with her hand? Like, oh, she's just doing magic, so she's just sitting there doing.

Speaker 2:

I was like okay, I was like that's kind of cool, um, and then, and then the keeper as a bad guy, uh was great, like they didn't, they didn't when she came, zero redemption on her, yeah yeah, I like, I like that they kept her that way.

Speaker 2:

But once she got recovered and was like who I am and everything, and she was basically I'm a user and I'm a this and this. She had planned to steal all their powers and it was like good. And then the only way they could quote unquote redeem her without redeeming her was finding a worse bad guy and Death. I don't even call Death the bad guy Death's just doing her job.

Speaker 3:

Exactly Well, and I thought the special effects for her. I thought they did a fantastic job with her face, like the skull, especially the half skull and stuff.

Speaker 1:

Actually the prosthetic. I was watching behind the scenes stuff. Actually a prosthetic. I was watching behind the scenes stuff. Her mouth was prosthetic.

Speaker 2:

That's cool, it looked really good.

Speaker 3:

But yeah, I look forward to it. I have one of my friends comment.

Speaker 2:

They'll probably take the storyline when they go find Tommy All of them, that's going to be.

Speaker 3:

Everything that I've watched. So that's that's going to be my interest, Everything that I've watched. They say that's what vision quest is going to be. It's going to be them finding vision, and then the three of them going to find Tommy, and then vision is going to become kind of the de facto guardian of the young Avengers, right? Because? They already kind of they already established that with the post-credit scene with Miss Marvel and Kate Bishop with her, after the Marvels showing up at Kate Bishop's house saying hey during the Sam Jackson.

Speaker 2:

The Nick Fury bit, or Kamala did it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so they're already. Obviously. I mean that's the direction they're going to go then, with finally having Ironheart coming out why are you hating?

Speaker 2:

honestly? My hate on it is expectations of Disney. It's going to be some woke bullshit. Now. If it's not fantastic, I would. That would be very pleased. But because it was made during the two years ago time?

Speaker 2:

well, it was post-pandemic. They made it two years ago, so so, because of the time frame when they made it, that's when everything had their agenda and they cared more about their agenda instead of good storytelling and that's what I'm worried about is like if they did a bunch of reshoots and rewrites and fixed it and got it off of that crap, great, it's going to be a good show.

Speaker 3:

But I'm just not expecting that, because it is I feel like they had to, because anything basically that was shot before Quantumania I think was shot with the intention of having Kang be the bad guy. I think was shot with the intention of having Kang be the bad guy and I feel like once they pivoted off of that and made it a doom thing, that anything like, and I'm sure I um blade, I'm sure at one point blade.

Speaker 3:

I'm sure iron heart, I'm sure all of these things that were in gestation and through the pandemic and after the pandemic again up until Quantumania, were all pointing towards Kang that they now have to go back and retcon themselves before the fucking show comes out to remove. You're just going to have a bunch of like and now we're going to go fight Doctor Doom you know what's funny?

Speaker 2:

I was thinking that there's going to be a lot of cuts in these upcoming shows where somebody's talking and we see the back of their head or somebody else reacting to it.

Speaker 1:

We're not going to see their mouth.

Speaker 3:

We're not going to come down right before.

Speaker 2:

There's going to be a lot of that. So funny, I was thinking about that the other day. It's like they're going to have to correct a lot of shit. But so Ironheart Ironheart absolutely has a chance. They just need to have changed it, because we all know what Disney was doing two years ago heavily with agenda-based shit instead of story-based shit.

Speaker 2:

You know what? It goes back to Agatha, right, Agatha? Basically you've got no straight people. You have four women and a gay, dude or queer whatever label you want to give them and you know what? Nobody cared why? Because that wasn't the focus. They had jokes about it. They had a couple here and there and I thought were pretty funny and well-placed, but that wasn't what the story was about. They had their story and that just fit in. That's how it's always supposed to be done and that's not how it was done. So if Ironheart doesn't do that great, it's going to be a great show. I have high hopes for that. Those people who like Ironman, they're going to like Ironheart. It can be well done. It can be well done. Just don't focus on black, female or alphabet. As long as they don't focus, Bring it in if you want. Just don't focus on it. Don't make that be the story.

Speaker 3:

That's all and if they don't, no problem. The couple of videos that I've seen online talking about the trailers. They think that the the general opinion seems to be they think that iron hearts we're gonna, they're gonna introduce mephisto because the bad guy in iron heart or the, the other character that they, that they kind of show in the trailer, is like one of his acolytes or whatnot.

Speaker 3:

like is is an agent of mephisto, so saying, if you watch it, then there's like a part like the idea will be that Mephisto comes in and tries to make Riri right. Riri plays on her being under privilege and that type of thing and offers her hey, like I can give you everything, all you have to do is give me your soul. You know that type of thing, and actually that's how he would be introduced into the mcu under privilege, didn't she go to mit but I'm saying like this is all the stuff that you want right.

Speaker 3:

Like this is all the things that you want right, and what? However, that, however he frames however he, however he frames it, the idea would be that that he would tempt her with the stuff that she doesn't have right, whether it's technology or money or whatever it is right like these are the things that you wanted your whole life hold on.

Speaker 2:

I'm now. I'm now. I'm confused on timing. So is this all happening before I? Uh? Wakanda too, no, this is well, this is after Black. Panther.

Speaker 3:

Well, no, because when she.

Speaker 2:

They showed a clip. She wouldn't be wanting is my point.

Speaker 1:

She wouldn't want anything, All they did was fix her dad's car and send her back home.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but if she needed help, she just gave a phone call.

Speaker 3:

They didn't even give her the suit of armor she built. They kept it. They were like, nah, this has got to stay here. Sorry.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but. I'm just saying to other people but if she needs rent paid, she can make a phone call. They'll cover her rent. Come on now.

Speaker 1:

That's what I'm saying. How expensive is a Calaconda?

Speaker 3:

We're talking like a 30-second commercial. So again, this is all theory, right? This is also them basing it on whatever comics they think these are going to be sourced from. Yeah, and in the comics that's a storyline that happens is.

Speaker 2:

Mephisto shows up, oh, I'd be all right with that, and that's how you can tie that in, and that's how they introduce him into the MCU. Wait, so have you guys heard? Just I don't know. It's making me think of the future, then. Have they talked about an Agatha season two, or is it just going to be a vision quest? Is the Agatha season two?

Speaker 3:

I mean, Agatha is just going to exist as a ghost. So in the comics.

Speaker 2:

She was a ghost in the comics too, but she helped Wanda in the comics.

Speaker 3:

But I don't think she's going to re-manifest herself.

Speaker 2:

No, no no, she's going to stay a ghost.

Speaker 3:

And the other thing they were saying is when she said I can't face him at the end as a ghost when he's trying to the sun. Yeah, it's not the sun, it was Mephisto, Because she did make a deal with Mephisto. That was what they're saying. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

I would think that would be, if I would not like that, if that's how it was, if it was, I can't face him. And it's his and it's her son that gives her more depth, it gives her that care factor, I hope that that wasn't, but it depends.

Speaker 3:

It would, it would depend. I think that again, we'll have to see how it plays out Right Again, this is all. These are all theories based on 20 seconds of a trailer or a show that we haven't seen come to fruition. So it'll be interesting to see. I mean, I'm interested again in the Marvel Universe.

Speaker 2:

I think I guess I really really helped kind of repair that like meh For a show that got renamed four times and that nobody really wanted and nobody expected that that it had a point to anything. Uh, they did a hell of a job with it. So, uh, of of the Marvel shows that have come out, that's probably one of the best. It was really well done. I it's like I go by like could I watch this show again? And, most honestly, most of my I could, just because I like them, you know, whatever. Like, oh, I didn't really like Falcon and Winter Soldier. I'm like, wow, really I'd watch that again. That was pretty good.

Speaker 2:

I don't think I could watch Secret Invasion again. That was bad, but this one I just watched it three days ago, finished it three days ago. I could watch it again, starting tomorrow. That's how much I enjoyed it.

Speaker 3:

Well, because now you can watch it and see all the stuff in as opposed to just being a short clip explaining to you.

Speaker 2:

Well, like I said, a lot of it was a little bit predictable. Again, I watched too much shit. I got to stop watching more shit. So it's like, oh, wait a minute, a minute, this doesn't seem right like stuff that was happening, uh, and it was like why. And then obviously well, I won't say obviously, but the whole talk that I got leading up to the show was that he was wiccan. Uh, so so when, when people, when they try to do that whole red herring with the whole agatha's son thing that's why I texted and was like the people think that he was supposed to be agatha's son thing? That's why I texted and was like did people think that he was supposed to be Agatha's son? After my first three episodes. And I was like I didn't want to say anything but I was like no, that's not what I heard for six months.

Speaker 3:

What I heard was he's supposed to be Wiccan. You can give a shout out to your Funko buddies for that.

Speaker 2:

Was that spoiled? They spoiled that shit a long time ago.

Speaker 3:

The very first Agatha Pop had Death and Wiccan on the back.

Speaker 2:

That's dumb as fuck. Why would they? Oh?

Speaker 3:

my god, that's so dumb. But again, you have the toy lines and you have the shows, and if one of those gets delayed for any reason, you know if they had originally planned my little originally planned McDonald's all the time.

Speaker 1:

dude, she already got Captain America toys, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I remember. I remember Red Hulk. Three months ago they spoiled that shit.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think she actually has a Red Hulk toy that she got from McDonald's because that chick got delayed.

Speaker 2:

I didn't. Yeah, I walked into McDonald's one day and I know how they have the little glass display of the toys and I'm like, okay, spoiler.

Speaker 1:

I walked in, I looked over.

Speaker 2:

I kind of stopped and I was like that's a spoiler and I went and ordered my food.

Speaker 1:

So I was like it is what it is I mean they have applesauce.

Speaker 3:

And I was going home. I mean, they have applesauce and they got the boo bucket. I was going home.

Speaker 2:

So that was recently. So I could have the apples knowing what was going to happen afterwards. So it was fine, I was on my way home.

Speaker 3:

Did you get it in a boo bucket?

Speaker 2:

No, it wasn't available then, although we did take the little one last week and last Friday and she got the purple one. It was ready before we flew out because, remember, jack, I was like, oh, I didn't know, there was multiple colors, because he has the white one and there's also like orange and blue, I think I didn't like them this year.

Speaker 1:

I like strictly old school and those are the Donald Buckets. Pumpkin goes to the witch.

Speaker 2:

Yep, and I didn't like the way the handle was. I mean, I guess for a kid it's fine, but talk about marketing the handles of Dan McDonald's.

Speaker 3:

wow, they're on top of it? Yep, that's the way it's always been. You remember when you got the little coupon, when people would give out the coupon books? Yep.

Speaker 2:

For Halloween.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, they used to have a book that had. You could buy the book for like five dollars and it would have like eight or nine dollars worth of stuff in it and they would hand those out and it would be like um, a hamburger, uh, an ice cream, um, wait I'm confused mcdon McDonald's sold this.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it was a little.

Speaker 3:

And all the money would go to Children's hospitals, because I've seen High schools or junior highs.

Speaker 2:

Sell like you buy this pass and it's good for 10% off Dairy Queen and 15% off Pizza Hut. Those little plastic cards you get, so it's not one of those.

Speaker 3:

It was like a ticket book that you would buy from I don't remember that at all and so. So that was those were always the bomb. Because, like, when you went to that house and they would give you the coupon book, you'd be like, yeah, we're going to mcdonald's after we've done trick-or-treating, because everybody would fucking pop out their ice cream or their hamburger and be like huh.

Speaker 2:

So was it money off or was it a free something?

Speaker 3:

Free. I mean, it was all kids sizes, right. It was all kids don't have money, so it'd be a book that you paid like $5 for and it would have $10 worth of value, right.

Speaker 2:

Okay, okay.

Speaker 3:

So it was all, and they were all free, do they not? Do that anymore.

Speaker 1:

Cause I Do they not do that anymore Because I didn't hear about this? I don't think so. It's been a long time.

Speaker 2:

That'd be kind of cool. This was back in the 80s man, damn, was that long ago.

Speaker 2:

You know what, maybe when I was in Japan or something, that shit was happening. We didn't have that at the McDonald's in Japan. Texas would have had it. I came back in 86. Texas would have had it, I would have had it. I don't remember that at all. Although there was not a McDonald's near me in Texas, I think I was like 15 miles from my, because we're at the Air Force Base, way out in the middle of nowhere, and then you'd have to drive into town to get to everything. So, granted, on the Air Force Base we had the BX, we had the groceries, we had the commissary, so we didn't have to leave for shopping. But if you did, you're driving a while to get there. It was not close. Maybe that's why I just wasn't around it.

Speaker 2:

That's a while man as the clock starts ticking down. So, hamilton, I finally went. I've been put this off five years, jack, if not longer so I had tickets to go, went to see Hamilton this weekend and it had the grow on me. I'm not going to lie. I started off and everybody's clapping after every song and every scene is a song. I was not expecting that. I was expecting a proper musical where you talk and then you sing, and you talk and then you sing.

Speaker 3:

No, everything was every bit of dialogue.

Speaker 2:

Yes, two hours and 42 minutes 17 seconds, and it was all song, every bit of speech, and so it took a little minute to get used to that. And then it took a minute to get used to that there were two white people on the on stage the king and some side character dude. That there were two white people on stage, the king and some side character dude. So there were two white people. Everybody else was black, hispanic, asian, whatever. I'm sure it's different for every production, unless there's only one production that travels, that's evolved.

Speaker 1:

There's usually a couple tours going on at a time.

Speaker 2:

So it was like, because that was part of my biggest issue going back in the beginning was if I'm watching a historical something, I want it to be accurate. If they're gonna do some history of africa and central africa, I don't want to see white people. So why, if I'm doing a history of the united states and adams and hamilton and burr and all these people, why are they black people or puerto Ricans or whatever the hell they are? That was my biggest issue. And then Jack was explaining to me the whole. Well, it's just the troop and they just picked this story. Blah, blah, blah. So it's kind of like they did in England, right, when you had the Shakespeare times guys played girls, whatever, because you didn't have girls. We're like all right. So once it was explained to me that way, I'm like all right, I can dig on this. Finally I saw it.

Speaker 2:

The songs were mostly fantastic, the story was fantastic. I've had a little, probably half hour longer than it needed to be, but they got their point across to all the characters, whether good or bad. If I like you because you're bad or if I don't like you because you're bad, that's a good thing because you're doing your role right. If I like you because you're good, you're doing your role right. So it's one of the things that Jack and I talked about when we met the voice actor and I think it was the voice actor in Gears of War Characters was such an ass in Arrow, but that's the point. He made me have some kind of emotion to it. So I'm like, you did your job.

Speaker 2:

The fact that I hated your ass, so same thing with this. There wasn't anybody I really hated, but it was like, okay, you're annoying, you're doing your job right because you're supposed to be annoying. It's like you're fantastic, fantastic, I could feel for you. Uh, glad I watched it. I I probably will eventually watch the disney plus one now with the original cast to see how they did it. Um, a lot of people in the audience were singing the not singing mouthing the song, probably the better way to put it. They weren't going to ruin the show. They were mouthing the songs. You do. You know enough of the songs to do that I know all I know.

Speaker 1:

The whole three hours worth dude.

Speaker 2:

Oh damn.

Speaker 3:

So many people do dude? Yeah, a lot of them do Listen to the soundtrack.

Speaker 1:

dude, it's just going to work. Well, that's the thing.

Speaker 3:

I mean, people have seen that show multiple, multiple times.

Speaker 2:

That was evident here too, and now you can appreciate Weird Al's Hamilton polka.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, there you go, oh that.

Speaker 3:

Weird Al's Hamilton polka. Yeah, that's a good point Full circle.

Speaker 2:

Right. But yeah, when it was over, I was probably one of the first ones to stand up for an outstanding ovation. I know between me, esso and her son, the three of us are the ones who went. I was absolutely the first one to stand up. But I will tell you it led to that. It built up to that Because early on I wasn't even clapping everybody's clapping at the end of every song. I was not. I was like, oh, I like this one, I'll clap. It was like, oh, that was all right. Whatever people clap, anyway, I'm like that was all right. And then, as we're getting towards the end of the first I don't know half before intermission what you want to call it um, I was getting more into it. And then the start of the second, with freaking. It could just be an actor choice, but Thomas Jefferson looking like Morris Day, dressed like Morris.

Speaker 2:

Day, I'm all like this is happening and then the freaking start and he comes out and he's like and then you got the epic rap battles of history going on, fighting for a cause. I mean, they did it a couple times. Obviously. It's then probably within the first 15 minutes after an admission. So the last hour plus, yeah, I was all in and it was like, yeah, this is happening, got me all welled up when they killed him. It was like wait, I knew this was coming, why are you tripping out?

Speaker 1:

I remember this from the peanut butter commercial.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, right, what the hell? Um, so, so, so yeah, I was pleased enough to buy two magnets to put on my fridge. Uh, cause usually when I do something I want a magnet, it magnets to put in my fridge. Uh, because usually when I do something I want a magnet. It's like when I go to japan I want a magnet. You know, that's my thing, I want a magnet. So got a couple of magnets. Uh, old girl got a couple of shirts, son got a shirt, she got a cup. I mean it was well, look, it was good enough where I spent 150 on merchandise, so nice checking would be for them pops man, I was like yeah, now we got a backtrack.

Speaker 2:

Now we got a backtrack. No, it ain't going that far, but but I think I think, no, it's funny you say that, though if I had seen it five years ago I would have. I think I would have gotten uh, the pops. For that had I gone back, uh. But now also, I understand the pops. Now too, I was like I don't know who this character I'd like, like. Why does it look like this? Why is all all this? I don't get what's happening. So I'm looking for like that ain't like George Washington, george Washington, no man.

Speaker 3:

I know what a dollar bill looks like. I need some. I need some wooden teeth in my life, right so?

Speaker 2:

Definitely my white person of the week. Shit that I'd done because I counted. There were four other black people that I saw. On the end there's 2,500 people that that theater holds and I saw four black people and I'm only certain of three of them. The other one looked like they were somebody's date, somebody's white date with this black family, and then obviously everybody on stage. So I was like whoa, definitely my white person of the week thing uh, lynn, manuel miranda's cousin actually plays for the twins.

Speaker 2:

Side notes oh, that is a hell of a side note, and they actually have a shirt with him swinging and it says miranda at the bottom, but it's the hamilton, oh that's the hamilton, him doing the star with the.

Speaker 2:

Oh, yeah, he just wanted to put the bat up, that'd be cool. Yeah, holding the bat, uh, that's all right, that's funny. Oh, he just wanted to Hold the bat up, that'd be cool. Holding the bat, that's alright, that's pretty badass. So, yeah, matter of fact, it's funny. When you said Jack, after the show and I was like, hey, this is good, and Jack's like Now you have to watch the one with the original cast on D+, I was like, okay, cool, I'll give it a shot. And then, oh, girl was like. My first was what role does he play? And she's like Hamilton. I'm like surprised. I mean, all right.

Speaker 3:

I might have wrote it Jonathan Groff as the king.

Speaker 2:

Who.

Speaker 1:

It's hilarious, jonathan Groff, the guy that plays Kristoff in Frozen. He's the king.

Speaker 2:

The king was pretty funny. I like the king. When it's when that first hour, when I was still trying to get my bearings, I was like, oh, finally somebody who gets it. I like the king, it was pretty funny circle back real quick.

Speaker 3:

uh, the 90s mcdonald's heller and coupon books were sold for a dollar Damn. They had free small McDonald's soft serve ice cream cone coupons, usually four to six, and free McDonald's apple dippers four to six. Sometimes they had other treats or menu items varying by location or year.

Speaker 2:

For a dollar.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I get it. Advertising, then they bring you in and you buy a bunch of other shit.

Speaker 3:

Well, the kids don't? The kids get their free ice cream, but then the parents are like I'll get a Big Mac, it's fine.

Speaker 2:

It reminds me Y'all tried that chicken Big Mac yet.

Speaker 1:

I did, I liked it.

Speaker 2:

Okay, because I'm curious, but I don't know if I'm curious enough to pay for it.

Speaker 1:

It's good. It tastes good. It has good flavor. The chicken is just like a big-ass chicken nugget. It tastes just like a chicken nugget. Oh, it's that kind of chicken nugget. It's great in everything. It's a chicken nugget. Big Mac. I wasn't that bad.

Speaker 2:

It seems so big too man.

Speaker 3:

They give you a giant barbecue sauce. It's like a trough.

Speaker 2:

You're just like my god that would be so funny like I could see myself pulling as a part is the problem, it looks like, because with the regular big mac right the petties are so thin. You're fine, you can manage it. That sandwich looks thick right that's just the commercial that's yeah it never looks the same luke come.

Speaker 3:

You know that.

Speaker 2:

Usually true, but you can't squish down that chicken patty. Yeah, that's true. That's what I was worried about. Do I cut it in half long ways? Do I cut it in half the other way? There's so many things to do with that.

Speaker 1:

It was worth trying.

Speaker 2:

Maybe I'll use my points or see if there's some kind. It was worth trying. Okay, maybe I'll use my points or see if there's some kind of discount going on. Get a coupon or something you know how the daily, like you get free fry Friday or whatever it is. Okay, maybe I'll do that, because $1.39 drink. Use my free fry Fridays and then just buy it outright. Then I can get a $7 meal out of it.

Speaker 3:

Also check the sports teams too, because I know, like the Blazers, if they score 100 points, you get a free six-piece chicken nuggets the following day, so maybe the Nuggets.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you know what, maybe the Nuggets, or somebody has something. The hockey team or whatnot. I was going to say, yeah the baseball, oh God, yeah the Broncos will hook you six points.

Speaker 3:

Everyone gets a burger.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god. You know what, though, like I said I think I said it to Jack last week at the game I was kind of rooting for the Broncos today, just to help the Steelers out, because they're a game ahead of the Ravens and the Broncos aren't a threat. So I was like, no, maybe the Broncos can sneak this one I'll have to hear about it for a week and how they're going in the Super Bowl but it helped the Steelers out to get that loss. But you know what? Steelers control their own destiny. They got a one-game lead. They still play the Ravens twice. Screw it, go earn it yourselves. You know you got Washington next week.

Speaker 3:

We'll see what happens. Look at that, we circled back around to football. There you go. Yeah, we didn't even talk about fantasy.

Speaker 2:

We'll have to save that for next week. I know right, Congratulations on your win, Jack. Oh, that one happened. I stopped watching when it was 118-117.

Speaker 1:

It was like at the beginning I was totally going to win right.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And it kept creeping and creeping. Now Duke was going to win Like 50-60%.

Speaker 3:

It's only because Chris Alave Got fucking knocked the fuck out during the game.

Speaker 2:

He did get knocked out during the game.

Speaker 3:

So, but otherwise my guys did. I should have started. There's one guy on my bench, I should have started. Yeah, I saw that, and Kyler was supposed to have way more points.

Speaker 2:

Oh my god.

Speaker 3:

Kyler, but he was projected to have like more points. Oh my God, Kyler. But he was projected to have like five more points than Jaden Daniels. So I was like, all right, I guess I'll start him this week, since he's supposed to be. And then he just put him, it's not even over yet. No, jack's got two guys.

Speaker 1:

Well, yeah, duke's all done. So I still have Marley Jack's got two guys, duke's all done.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but Hunt could take the first carry of the game. Fumble hurt his ankle. Be done for the game minus two points.

Speaker 3:

And then Kansas City could get zero points on defense and Duke could win. No, that happened a couple weeks ago in one of my other leagues. Uh, we were, I was. He was up by 0.10 by. It was like 118, 60 to 118, 7.7, and it was the end of the game and the team was trying to run the clock out, so they handed the ball off. He lost two yards. He lost 0.2 oh one1 points. He was.

Speaker 1:

I saw the guy.

Speaker 3:

I saw the guy last night at the birthday party I went to and he was like man, that's right.

Speaker 2:

There is some that's a bad beat. Wow, I always wondered that, like, cause it hasn't happened to anybody I know, or myself, where you know, you, you, you're, you're taking your four knees or three knees to end the game. So you're up by 0. Or .4, and your quarterback? Instead of just taking a knee, he takes a couple steps back.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they take four steps back and then drop down. It's like oh my God, I just lost because my quarterback took some knees. I don't know. I've seen some teams way back a long time ago, I guess, if any football has been around for a while. But they would bring in their backup quarterback to take the needs.

Speaker 3:

That way, your quarterback doesn't get hurt.

Speaker 2:

You could have got seven more points if you put in Stroud. Jack could have got seven more points if you put in Mooney. That's going to be interesting. I'm okay if Hunt gets hurt and goes down because I got in a league. I'm desperate in a league and I'm down by like 30 points. I need P, ryan and Kelsey to total 30 points for a win. So Kelsey could probably get me 15, but he ran to get 15. Needs hunt to get hurt. So it's going to be. It's going to be a tough one. But and then in our league I kind of destroyed my opponent.

Speaker 2:

Dude, you're not getting laid for like a month, dude.

Speaker 1:

You kicked the shit out of her Mahomes is not going to save her tomorrow.

Speaker 2:

That's only what? 70 points, it's not that bad.

Speaker 1:

You know what? It's funny. I'm looking now 120 to 50. Is my?

Speaker 2:

team done yeah.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, your team's done.

Speaker 1:

Okay, she has Mahomes and Hopkins in tomorrow's game for 17 and nine points 70.

Speaker 2:

Okay, She'll get 26 points. Yeah, If Mahomes can throw it to Hopkins for 200 yards and five touchdowns.

Speaker 3:

If Mahomes can throw it to.

Speaker 1:

Hopkins for 200 yards and five touchdowns.

Speaker 2:

All the five touchdowns go to Hopkins. I think that does it. Might even only be 150 yards, so it's like 10 catches.

Speaker 3:

And I might go 0-3 this week in fantasy. So I mean I don't really care, it's whatever.

Speaker 2:

I think I'm going to go 2-5. Or 2-5. 2-3. Possible 3-2. We'll see what happens with Kelsey and Piran. Oh wait, I guess I also have Bucker, so that helps. Actually, I don't need the full points from them too. Between those three that's possible. It is possible Kelsey could get one touchdown and some decent yards and catches because it's a PPR league, bucker can get two long field goals and P-Rod can give me 10 points.

Speaker 1:

I think I'm good. I heard Kelsey's gay because he's dating Tay-Tay. Well obviously, oh boy.

Speaker 3:

Bye guys. Everyone have a good week. Uncle Lou's got to go to bed for work tomorrow.

Speaker 2:

Speaker 1:

I don't have it off, but I'll make that up. Oh yeah, Especially because we'll be at Disneyland, so who knows when I'll get home?

Speaker 3:

Because tomorrow's football.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I can do it tomorrow during the game. Yeah, halftime Shit during the game? Fuck that. Yeah, I don't. I mean I'm all looking over here. The game is going to be on this TV, I can be on the laptop watching the game.

Speaker 1:

I mean, if Mahomes is throwing those 200 yards, you got to watch it. Man, I'm going to be shitting myself.

Speaker 2:

If that because you know how bad Tampa's defense is. So if I see in the first half he's got three touchdowns at 220 yards, I'm going to be just like Suicide watching on Lou. The text y'all see come across there is going to be, it's going to be ridiculous. Now if he does that and throws it to Kelsey the whole time. Okay, we can talk, that's right as long as it's not DeHoff, we're good.

Speaker 3:

Other than that, I think you guys have a great week. We'll do it again on.

Speaker 2:

We'll start with fantasy football next time. That way we're not all over the football for the first 20 minutes Fantasy football can go quickly. We don't want to make it sexy, since we're doing Sunday now. We don't want to make it All football all the time, right? Then we won't be Vaguely inconsistent.

Speaker 3:

We'll be very consistent, yeah exactly.

Speaker 2:

We'll have to switch over To hockey and talk about how the how the Knights Only win at home, but Jackson, Jackson have to change.

Speaker 3:

Jackson have to change the hashtag to like Hashtag sports, talk Hashtag sports talk Hashtag Right.

Speaker 2:

Add all this shit in there.

Speaker 3:

Hashtag fire takes.

Speaker 2:

That's good, though It'll get us a bigger audience.

Speaker 2:

Exactly Jim Rohn will want us to come on his show. Exactly, we got you covered. There's more of us out there. I mean, we're not the only ones who like geeky shit and sports shit, right, so we get them all. We'll get that demographic. All the time people think I'm a geek and a dork and a nerd. I'm like yeah, but also whoop, yeah. So don't think all nerds and shit, we're pacifists and all that. What's that thing? Don't confuse my pacifism with weakness, because I'm chill for the most part, but when it's on y'all seen it.

Speaker 2:

Uh-uh, I ain't got time to play.

Speaker 1:

That quote from Mallrats. Guy thinks, because he reads comic books he can't whoop some ass.

Speaker 2:

Exactly. Oh you nerd, you dork. I'm like, yeah, try me Go ahead.

Speaker 3:

Try to cut in front of me in line and we'll see what the fuck happens, mother.

Speaker 2:
