Episode Description:
When the kettle whistles and the tea is ready, it's time for the DesiQuest after-show—and what a show it is! Omar Najam and I, Sandeep Parikh, are all cozied up inside the teapot, steaming with excitement.  After every episode of DesiQuest is launched, we'll release another episode of the Tea Kettle with me and Omar and a very special guest, or guest from either behind or in front of the camera.

Step into the shadows of storytelling with Anjali Bhimani and Anand Shah, our special guests and executive producers, as we peel back the curtain on DesiQuest's fourth episode. It's a journey into the heart of horror, complete with anecdotes from the set that will have you both laughing and glancing over your shoulder. From Anjali's 'True Dice Goblin' shenanigans to the bone-chilling atmosphere that haunted our filming, this episode is a treasure trove for fans who relish a touch of the macabre in their podcasts.

The conversation then shifts to the eclectic and sometimes eerie world of dice collecting, where liquid cores and ethically sourced bone dice roll into our intrigue-fueled discussion. Sandeep shares a poignant moment of gratitude that brings a human touch to our gaming rituals. So join us and our illustrious guests as we explore the spine-tingling depths of narrative and character, and be sure to share your reactions—every like and comment fuels our journey into the extraordinary and the eerie.

Sandeep Parikh:

Hello and welcome. Welcome. Were you gonna say something, omar?

Omar Najam:

I know I was just going, oh okay, I was matching. I was matching your energy.

Sandeep Parikh:

I just want to give you the space, ooh baby.

Omar Najam:

I like that. That was juicy.

Sandeep Parikh:

Alright, hello, welcome to the Tea Kettle, the DesiQuest after show podcast, exclusive to our Patreon backers, what this whole endeavor could not be possible without you, dear listeners. So thank you, thank you. Thank you so much. I'm your host, Sandeep, executive producer and cast member, who plays Ash, and, as always, my co-pilot is none other than the perspicacious Omar Najam, who plays Murkha. Yes, Wow. We. I don't have to explain what that means, right, because everybody obviously knows that word.

Omar Najam:

It's a $6 word that you pulled up there. We got it. Bringing up the SAT words yeah.

Sandeep Parikh:

It means having keen insight or being acutely perceptive. So I think you just have like a plus seven to perception.

Omar Najam:

Oh, that's not bad. That's very good, and seemingly a negative one to vocabulary, because I had to wait for you to tell me what that meant.

Sandeep Parikh:

Well, listen, we're here and that's all that matters. After every episode of the DesiQuest is launched, we release another episode of the Tea Kettle with me and Omar, and then we got some special guests from the show this week. Oh, this week we got some juicy, juicy guests. We got Anjali, so this is like the executive producer special, because we got Anjali Bhimani, who plays Sitara and is also an executive producer on the show.

Sandeep Parikh:

very exciting to have Anjali, hello, and we've got Anand Shah, who is my business partner at EffinFunny and also an executive producer on the series, so that's exciting. Welcome, what's up. Patreon-e rs.

Anajali Bhimani:

Omar Najam:

I feel like I'm never sure what the right term is, but yes thank you all for listening to the two of you be adorable. Oh well, that's a good review.

Sandeep Parikh:

We'll take it. Well, before we dive into our dissection of episode four, which was a juicy, juicy episode, Why don't you just take a second, just hit that like a little likey, like heart button thing there and comment, because we like to hear from you. Do you want to say it, omar? I'm just going to do it.

Omar Najam:

I would love to say this this is Misty Mountain Gaming. We like Misty Mountain Gaming.

Anajali Bhimani:

Have them with me in my suitcase here while I'm traveling. I actually brought them with me too.

Sandeep Parikh:

You have the entire company of Misty Mountain Gaming in your suitcase. I do?

Anajali Bhimani:

I brought them in my in my new very large suitcase and they're going to pop out at the convention and then they're going to set up their booth and that's going to be very exciting.

Omar Najam:

What a way to save on transport for a company.

Anajali Bhimani:

I figured I could support them because they supported us so much.

Omar Najam:

Yes, oh, I love that so much.

Anajali Bhimani:

I didn't do that. That's like really illegal.

Sandeep Parikh:

I know, but you do love Misty Mountain Gaming.

Anajali Bhimani:

But I do love Misty Mountain Gaming. I have a thickness for buying Misty Mountain Gaming. We filmed this.

Sandeep Parikh:

You guys have seen now the episode that actually has the intermission and stuff. That wasn't very little, that was scripted in the sense that. Anjali's True Dice Goblin came out in Full Force. Sorry, not sorry.

Anajali Bhimani:

I brought the eyeball dice to play with on this trip. Oh my god, those are genuinely so cool.

Sandeep Parikh:

Yes, I now have a set of eyeball dice thanks to the shoot and this stuff ending up in my garage, so I was like those I am using because they are so badass. It's so good.

Omar Najam:

And I feel like these suit this episode too. Yes, oh totally, oh, my god.

Anajali Bhimani:

It's so creepy to creepy this whole episode, this episode is sort of like, all of a sudden, Mike Flanagan does DesiQuest like it becomes a horror.

Omar Najam:

What an accurate description it really does.

Sandeep Parikh:

It really does become a horror thing and it was so like, it was so supported by, like the music and everything that they had in post you like it felt so I was like more scared, almost watching the episode in the room, I think.

Anajali Bhimani:

I mean I was like face up to the screen, maybe also because I'm apparently losing my eyesight, but I Just feeling my auntie is showing every time I try to read something or look at a screen. I just started like we're farther farther, depending on what I'm doing.

Sandeep Parikh:

But I'm doing the farther thing. That's the thing.

Anajali Bhimani:

Yeah, it's definitely farther. Yeah, no, no, no, but it's definitely it's actually farther. When my arms are not long enough, now Now.

Sandeep Parikh:

I this guy yeah. No, the dosage on this medicine is, I think, 17 tablespoons 17, it's all.

Anajali Bhimani:

I mean splitting hairs.

Omar Najam:

It's all yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But in terms of speaking of support, though, you know, before we get too far from our friends at Misty Mountain game, if you don't mind me giving you a little pitch a little, it'll tell you a little bit about them. How does this sound? I'm really tell me how this resonates with you here, as a big fan of of so many of their goods. Misty Mountain gaming is a veteran owned and operated online store that sells dungeons and dragon's dice, leather bags and journals and Goddamn, are they good? Founded in 2018, misty Mountain gaming offers a wide selection of high quality products at affordable prices. There stuff rocks. Yeah, let's just jump right to that.

Sandeep Parikh:

That was honestly pulled from the website and I think, I Think it doesn't even quite display our actual enthusiasm for how cool these dice are. Yeah, so get on.

Anajali Bhimani:

They've got eyeball dice, they liquid core dice. They've bone dice, which I admit I felt the need to say before I used them, and to thank the, the ethically sourced buffalo, or that they're dice come from I had to like. Do us all Native American, thank you for.

Sandeep Parikh:

I did, I did a puja for them. Yeah, exactly, but hey, I forgot to write this in the thing, so I'm gonna say it out loud go to Desi quest. com/ misty. To Then that that sort of credits us, you know tracks, and it makes it go like, oh, people Listen to this podcast and they care, and then they go over there, so that that helps us out. But go check them out because I guarantee you will love those dice, right, right.

Anajali Bhimani:

Like I said, I have a sickness. They're here at this event and I have a feeling I'm gonna go over to the To the booth to try to look at more dice to buy and I'm gonna realize, oh, you have bought them all, like all of them.
