Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, before we get into this very juicy episode of Desi Quest, I just wanted to tease a special little something we have for you at intermission, and that is a sketch from our Uber Talent and Friends over at the Get Brown. So stay tuned for that. But until then, enjoy more of my face and I guess, everyone else's face in Desi Quest 2. Or whatever.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to episode 6 of Desi Quest and welcome to the tea kettle, Omar. Oh, look at this. It's the first time in the tea kettle. Now it's the penultimate episode of Desi Quest. How have things been going for your party thus far?

Speaker 3:

You know, good, all things considered, we kind of came together under interesting circumstances. We are not a previously established traveling party, so in the process of getting to know each other and our power sets and everything, I think we've done pretty well, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

What happened most recently. Now you were in. You crashed an airship a little bit, landed it somewhat Sure Near the Morboni Forest, made your way through a dread domain in the crooked Sun Fort and where did that land you?

Speaker 3:

We got out and we were met by a familiar face. Our very good friend Priya was traveling through to find us and bringing with her a new companion by the name of Nori.

Speaker 2:

And is Nori friend or foe? Because I think your last ally ended up being an enemy.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that did definitely happen. This was definitely friendlier than the beheaded ghost that tried to kill all of us by way of love to empty. Yes yes, yes, so that was appreciated. Yeah, nori has a very organized and type A energy. I think that's kind of something we need right now you do.

Speaker 2:

You're getting closer to Rock Dibba and you're traveling there a little bit via a non-traditional yeah, I wasn't going to say, a spider. How do you think this is going to go for your party, kind of flipping between different realms, trying to get to your destination as fast as possible? You think there's going to be any complications?

Speaker 3:

You know, when you do travel by spider, which is a new form of transportation for our party, that you are flooding into other dimensions, and we've been warned so much about the Feywilds. No, I have nothing but the most confidence that it'll be okay.

Speaker 2:

Oh, I look forward to shaking that confidence. Omar, You're my favorite by all. Right. Shall we get out there? Let's do it. Let's do it. Let's roll some dice, let's go.

Speaker 5:

Clink, clink, clink, clink, clink, clink, Clink, clink.

Speaker 2:

Welcome to episode six of this Equest. How are we feeling? The penultimate episode. Are you going to miss me?

Speaker 6:

Absolutely. I'm going to miss you.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to be at your doorstep so I'm not going to miss you too much. I'm just going to be knocking on you with this amazing peacock.

Speaker 1:

Wow, you just want to shake that. You're going to knock on the door with that yeah.

Speaker 2:

You are racing with a supernatural gate through the woods and now rapidly scaling the mountains. As phase spiders have a climbing speed unrivaled. They occasionally thrust up their abdomens to toss up web and then glide up it seamlessly, blipping in and out of existence as they swing up the craggy mountaintop. Everyone, give me a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker 7:

Okay, okay, here we go. Absolutely Nice, okay Okay.

Speaker 3:

I thought it would be so funny to build a character with such low wisdom. I thought it would be funny. It's funny for us, okay, great. Two minus two Zero.

Speaker 2:

So we've got a 20 is zero 22, 22.

Speaker 6:

21.

Speaker 5:

21. 13. I'm sorry, it's 24. Oh oh, you said saving throw right.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, actually, you have a 25. 25.

Speaker 5:

Oh, you're See, that's comedy, baby.

Speaker 2:

Merca, the rest of your party is able to shut out these visions of gin buddy, strange creatures that dwell in this realm just on the other side of ours. But one of them catches your eye. Hello, Hi, sir, I just I need your help.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I would love to If you could just Help, but my friends are on spiders.

Speaker 2:

And she reaches out towards you oh.

Speaker 3:

God, oh no, oh no, thank you, I've had enough spiders, I couldn't possibly no.

Speaker 6:

No, thank you Too full.

Speaker 5:

We don't want to.

Speaker 3:

Okay, I'll slow down a little bit. Yeah, Maybe I can really quick like.

Speaker 2:

As you slow down, her eyes roll into the back of her head, her jaw unhinges, dragging along the ground and she lunges towards your mount. No, which spider were you mounted on? Zeher, zeher, she's on Zeher. An 18 hits. Oh no, zeher takes six points of necrotic damage before flitting back into our realm. Zeher reels eyelashes now holding back tears, and begins to lose purchase on the mountains, falling down a few feet as two. And now, as you look back, you see one of her legs is severely mangled.

Speaker 3:

Oh, my God.

Speaker 7:

Oh, no, oh my God, how close are we to them. Yeah, do we notice, do we see?

Speaker 2:

this. You're all kind of like moving in a V shape for my approximation Because you've slowed down. The rest of you are now coming up closer to him. Have we passed the 10 minute mark? Yes, You've been traveling for a little bit over a few hours now.

Speaker 3:

I'll use the cannon as like a flare, like I'll just like hold it up as it's like shooting flame 15 feet in the air.

Speaker 2:

Do you see Merca's spider kind of reeling backwards, sliding back towards you on this like incline as you're going up the mountain?

Speaker 7:

Sliding back towards us. How can we stop them? How can we?

Speaker 6:

stop them. Can I use one of my animals? Do you think that would be helpful to like catch or save, or do something?

Speaker 7:

Can we like coordinate together to try to brace them?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, do you want to try to move your mounts to like get behind?

Speaker 1:

them and catch them. Yeah, yeah, go ahead and give me animal handling check. Flying bee maybe, yeah.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to guide what's your animal handling.

Speaker 6:

Plus one. Okay, I'm going to guide you. Okay, so I got a 26.

Speaker 4:

26.

Speaker 6:

13 and then 10. I have 17.

Speaker 2:

You're both able to deftly glide your spiders in place and you are able to catch the spiraling backwards Zahar, letting out a heart wrench and cry as you see this strange icker begin to seep from one of her legs and you're able to stop her descent back down the mountain.

Speaker 7:

Can I cast cure wounds on her? Yes, I shall do so, and I know I'm not. I can't speak to her in her language. I'm just like it's all right. It's all right, I've got you.

Speaker 6:

And I feed her some grub. Grub blood dude.

Speaker 2:

Grub blood, grub dude grub dude Nine. Bringing her back up to full health. You see the leg heal and she picks up speed again, kind of leading the pack as you make your way up through the foothills to the hill station.

Speaker 4:

Hey, what the hell was that?

Speaker 3:

And I'm assembling like this, like four sort of like nodes that are like attached with like some wiring that I'm ripping out of like my coat. That is like all wired up. When we moved into the other realm, something saw me and reached out and attacked her.

Speaker 5:

Did you close your eyes?

Speaker 3:

No, I didn't. I made sure I didn't.

Speaker 7:

What.

Speaker 5:

Next to a do no, you can close your eyes and not engage. Well, uh, you just stare straight ahead and move with purpose.

Speaker 7:

It's just like you're on stage and you have to focus. You know you have to do. It doesn't matter what the audience is doing to you. They could be calling out, they could be screaming out. Someone could be on one of the you know filmy devices. It doesn't matter. You have to focus on the task at hand.

Speaker 5:

It's like when you take free samples but they're not actually, you're not supposed to it's, you just take it with confidence and leave it's like when you're trying to get something done and people are asking you questions and then you just go straight ahead and no, look, you know, push their faces in.

Speaker 1:

He's a scientist, he has to observe. I mean, I assume that is very difficult for you to do, but you should totally do it, dude. Oh, okay, okay, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I'm hearing the note. Thank you, yeah, yeah, yeah, I will. And then I hit the like a little button on the top that powers it up and I'm gonna give a blade ward to my spider companion. Ah, cute.

Speaker 7:

You're doing nice Good job.

Speaker 2:

You see the hill station so close, your spider mounts moving up through, finding like little caverns and passages through the mountainside. Behind you you see more bonny forest, sort of sprawled like a beautiful emerald carpet, reaching out towards the river Soha, glittering to the sea, to the bay beyond Sultana Bay. The sun is beating down on you but your mounts don't show any sign of fatigue. They move with determination, with purpose Granted to you for your mission by Multan. Now you know that they will take you to the city and no further. After that. They will return home from once they came.

Speaker 2:

You see it, Nestled in between two mountain peaks. You see the summit of Raktiba, now threatening to pierce the blue of the skies, and Silgar right below it, a beautiful town, full sort of built up around the commerce of pilgrimages. They offer food, shelter to people making this holy journey. They offer tokens of good luck, brushtab flowers, things to offer to the goddess when you reach the summit. All of these wonderful things laid out up against the side of the mountain like stairs going all the way to the summit.

Speaker 2:

Beautiful colors, roofs that are thatched with heavy stones to kind of weigh them down, and a gentle snow just beginning to drift down, A few specks here and there, catching the sunlight and eventually settling in. Your hair gets a little colder. Here, Sand flags are hung from different poles that have been struck into the ground. They catch up on the wind almost as though waving you welcome. Your spider mounts come to a rest right outside the edge of the hill station, Settling down, folding their limbs one after another underneath their weight, kind of the way a cat loaves, and then nestling down. Do you want to give me an insight? Check Seven. Yeah, you just think Bonnie is being cute, but you notice Bonnie is like kind of shuffling in low form. Oh dance.

Speaker 6:

Dance, dance, dance. Okay, okay, break it down.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to slide off of Guja and I'm going to look into its eyes and I'm just going to put my forehead between its eyes and then say thank you. I think this is where we leave them.

Speaker 1:

I slide off of Choco as well and I am awestruck by seeing Rock Tipper this close and I can't even describe it. It's a weight, it's an emotion, but it's heavy, it's viscous and it's just filling my body. I'm so, I am appreciative to Choco, but I'm sort of just handing out the remains of my britzels that I know that he loves so much to offer him.

Speaker 2:

But my eyes are up to Rock Tipper Eyes are up, still shuffling forward. I'm drooling a little bit at the mouth. Bonnie lunges with a puppy-like mouth With that yum, her teeth landing squarely on your tail. What did she?

Speaker 4:

do.

Speaker 2:

And then she begins to slip it up like spaghetti.

Speaker 4:

No, no, no no no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Can I do an?

Speaker 7:

animal handling to try to get her to stop. Can I do an animal?

Speaker 6:

handling. Yeah, I'll stop it I don't like it.

Speaker 1:

I don't want this.

Speaker 7:

I guide you, Okay. So I got Natural 20 plus 7, 27. Holy shit.

Speaker 6:

Okay, I got a 19.

Speaker 2:

Bonnie is very hungry, but you do manage to get Ash out of her mouth before she completely devours it.

Speaker 5:

She's got like a leg.

Speaker 2:

That's like starting to be pulled into her mom by the time that you get her out, which is like relaying her to her mouth.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, except her feet, except her feet are round, I'm feeling like hungry.

Speaker 1:

Wow, london, what a layup.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry but I'm sorry. Okay, I didn't make you something. Ask her what she wants to eat.

Speaker 7:

Does anyone what?

Speaker 6:

language does she?

Speaker 7:

speak A whistle, a whistle, yeah, most of them understand.

Speaker 2:

Commands and a whistle, or they can be spoken to.

Speaker 7:

I don't want to use up another spell. Yeah, okay, would you have?

Speaker 2:

As you say this, actually, as you say like where do you want to eat? You hear someone behind you Just say are you, Are you, Are you.

Speaker 6:

Oh, I turn to see who's addressing me.

Speaker 2:

And it is a person sort of wearing a human, wearing kind of wrapped in a shawl, multiple shawls, trying to stay warm in a big, heavy coat, looking at you with like these big green eyes Are you, are you, are you, Are you, are, you, are you. Are you Are you? Are you a human that's wearing aMm?

Speaker 1:

X.

Speaker 2:

What was that? You thought I was hearing something really strange.

Speaker 6:

And what was?

Speaker 7:

Hmm, that's probably uh, Wow that's that, that deutschen Thatlever that uplifted that the beasts. The ekukan, that're. You know. I'm one of these guys that make theishment awesome. Is here good?

Speaker 6:

What do you want? Your autograph Okay.

Speaker 7:

Don't sign the way you sign checks, huh, or else it'll make a little bit different. Or else it'll make a little bit different.

Speaker 6:

She does not know what an autograph is and just purely signs her name in block text. You'll enjoy anyone with it. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Amazing. Thank you so much, okay, and then she walks away.

Speaker 6:

Was this one of your?

Speaker 7:

friends, my friends, no, they're fans of you. I wonder, do you?

Speaker 2:

hear a murmur in your eyes. Do you think, natasha, is that Ladova?

Speaker 6:

Why does everyone know my identity? Maybe it's Natasha? Natasha, we did ask her to give you a little bit of a promotion.

Speaker 7:

Remember Crazy? She was supposed to do a glow-up for them and for you, remember.

Speaker 6:

Did she give my address? Are they going to attack me? What are they all talking about me?

Speaker 7:

Because they love you, aunty, is that?

Speaker 1:

Ladova. Oh my God, what is SEO.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, shamsi Energy Optimization, yeah.

Speaker 7:

Shamsi Energy Okay, shamsi Energy Optimization.

Speaker 4:

I just walk up to them, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I just walk up to them and go like how have you heard of Ladova Aunty? Like what I mean the shop.

Speaker 3:

The shop.

Speaker 2:

You have to visit it. It's just up the road, is it? There's a Ladova Aunty friend.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes.

Speaker 2:

Everyone gets their Prashad there before they go up to the next leg of the journey.

Speaker 3:

And it's Ladova Aunty's.

Speaker 2:

Yes, it's Ladova Aunty's, Do you?

Speaker 6:

have some of this Prasadam. Can I taste it? Well, no, it's mine.

Speaker 2:

I can't give you my Prashadam. You're not going to give it to the maker of Okay.

Speaker 6:

Okay, sounds suspicious, yeah, but I mean the shop's right there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, Just go have a look yourself. Okay, I'm going to go there.

Speaker 6:

Somebody's impostering me. I think they're going to be. Yeah, I'm not going to be pissed.

Speaker 7:

And I'm staying close to her because she could do anything if this goes horribly bad. Yeah, this could go bad.

Speaker 6:

She waddles with such a frussy what she thinks over the fact that maybe someone liked her product enough and they are really her products or something and people love them. She thinks somebody took my social security number. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Somebody's heard about you and is not pretending to be you, and that's not new to me and going to take my bank account.

Speaker 2:

Worst case scenario right away you march with purpose through the streets of Silgar, People murmuring to each other. Is that her? Is that?

Speaker 4:

the real.

Speaker 2:

Ledduanti. And then you see it a thin wisp of smoke worrying out of a machine that forms a purple logo on the air Ledduanti with a perfect facsimile of your face Whoa. Underneath a stall, you see a long line of people lining up to purchase their Leddu's and as you push your way to the front, you see a machine oh yeah Turning out Leddu's that only Ledduanti could make. Oh yeah.

Speaker 6:

What are you doing I? Don't sound like that I don't do any of those things. What are?

Speaker 4:

you doing.

Speaker 2:

A little bit of smoke coming out of one of the gears as this construct.

Speaker 6:

Ledduanti takes one of the Leddu's from this robot Sample, are you?

Speaker 5:

a sample Okay.

Speaker 6:

And she tastes it, and it tastes like her Leddu's Exactly, which is not what she was expecting.

Speaker 2:

From the back. You hear a clattering of pans and you see nervously coming out your old friend.

Speaker 6:

Malvindar, malvindar.

Speaker 2:

Malvindar Auntie, I can explain, okay, I just, I just, you always said you wanted to explain More commas, more commas.

Speaker 3:

Yes, more commas, more commas. I can explain, I can explain.

Speaker 6:

Please don't do it with a chopper. What am I doing, wait, no, no, no, no, no, auntie, I'm a good boy. You're a very good boy no-transcript.

Speaker 2:

I came up here on a pilgrimage and then I decided to do some base jumping. Okay, and one thing I found in my adventures up here base jumping was, you know, people kept saying that they missed a taste of home and I remember that horrible abomination, more commative you when I was a little kid and I went looking for it and I found it where you broke it and threw it in storage and I fixed it up and I thought you know what this will grow on these brand, and so this is your first franchise and I just thought it would be better to ask forgiveness than permission. It is never better to do that.

Speaker 2:

But, and he gestures towards the register. I haven't even taken a cut. I just wanted to show you what you could do if you believed in your product the way I believe in it, the way Mordecah believes in it.

Speaker 6:

These people are all here.

Speaker 7:

For you and aunty. Even better news this means Bullwinder is an engineer.

Speaker 3:

Well, okay, I'm now caught between the things that I've accused him of to get the heat off of me and my ego.

Speaker 6:

I'm in the genius, oh my God, so genius. With your hands, you created a robot of your dear aunty, because I respect you so much, it's perfect.

Speaker 3:

A real genius could do it twice or explain the process.

Speaker 6:

The most perfect recreation. You came up with the schematic on your own. Okay, that's enough.

Speaker 3:

I did it. I created the Ladoo Aunty.

Speaker 6:

Why.

Speaker 3:

I can't text you this for treat on myself.

Speaker 7:

Aunty, don't you remember when he was younger, when Bullwinder was? This is what he said.

Speaker 6:

Okay, okay, it's just it's quite a lot for me to take in. You know I don't have time to come up to this mountain to check on how things are going, to quality control, all these things. It's like keep everything small, small, small, small, small. You know it's what I can handle. You know, you know I don't.

Speaker 2:

But that's why I come up here and take care of her for you, with my wife, of course.

Speaker 3:

I'm sorry.

Speaker 6:

Huh, it, excuse me, with my wife. Did we know he was married? I think you knew.

Speaker 2:

Oh.

Speaker 7:

Okay, I'll give them a.

Speaker 2:

And Ratka, you remarked good, he's married. Oh, yes, yes, Rat.

Speaker 6:

Khan Very good.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 3:

Bullwinder, I didn't know that you were married.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you haven't met Nithika.

Speaker 3:

No, I've never met Nithika or a Nithika.

Speaker 2:

You see, trotting up on a ram, a small halfling with a bow made of natural vine, her hair braided behind her and a sigil on her shoulder that denotes people that do mountaintop rescues. Yes, and she goes, namaste Auntie, and like goes to tetrophy. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Speaker 6:

Very nice, but no, it's okay.

Speaker 2:

I've been keeping an eye on things up here when Bullwinder's not up here.

Speaker 6:

So this really is succeeding, yeah yeah, we've put aside.

Speaker 2:

Obviously there's some operational costs, but once all that's removed we're bringing in 75 gold a week. Okay, Okay.

Speaker 6:

Mama get a third, sorry Okay.

Speaker 4:

Oh, my God.

Speaker 6:

I am speechless. I never thought. You know, they're just my lados. You know that anybody would want this stuff.

Speaker 2:

Bullwinder says oh, I never had a doubt in my mind. Everything you do, even if it's not always the best thing to do, you do it with love, and anything that comes from love can't be all bad.

Speaker 6:

This has literally never occurred to LaDouanti. I think she has grown up being like the eldest of her siblings, the one that didn't go to school, the one that you know, the only one that didn't get married or have children. So she's kind of spent her life making up for that by trying to help other people. But I was assuming this is, I'm, a little bit useless. These are slightly soft skills. So the idea that someone turned her soft skill into like a hard skill is more emotion than she's really able to process.

Speaker 3:

I turn to Nori, just to catch you up. When we met that child when he was a boy, through a bucket of piss on, me.

Speaker 6:

Can you forget about it? Can you please forget about it?

Speaker 3:

And studying LaDouanti's skill set, I created an automaton that was similar to LaDouanti, that was recreating, and I lost track of it, and then it caught up.

Speaker 5:

Did you think about the ethical ramifications of automating a home industry?

Speaker 3:

I have since.

Speaker 2:

Bo Winderpipeson no. And also in my defense I was only nine and he was trying to milk a bowl.

Speaker 3:

I no. Ok, now again a great misunderstanding.

Speaker 6:

Bo Winder. All of this aside, thank you. I have always worried about how someone without issue their children can create a legacy and an impact, and you've given me that.

Speaker 2:

Well, I wouldn't say you don't have children.

Speaker 6:

She looks around at all the people that are marginally younger than her. They're very much younger and she realizes something she's always thought but really is processing when you're an auntie, everybody's your child, Even you, who I've just met. Are you proud of me as an auntie?

Speaker 4:

Oh, you can't just.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, you can never ask that question I guess it's just sort of You're giving it 100%.

Speaker 3:

You can never hold the question in your heart. Yeah, that would hurt. It's truly my relatives.

Speaker 1:

Honestly, the fact that we just heard an auntie say the words thank you, I don't think I've ever, that's already a lot.

Speaker 3:

The fact that you asked the question. That explains everything about I now understand. Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 5:

You're so authentic, oh so authentic. So what's auntie's cut, then? How all of it.

Speaker 6:

Ok, that's a lot of sari. That's not crazy. I'll get one. It put the rest underneath my mattress. Better than SBI. You know what I'm saying? Stay back in India, no good.

Speaker 3:

You laugh when you cry.

Speaker 2:

Bo Winder says to all of you auntie was there for me when I lost my farm and, being the son of a farmer the son of a farmer and the son of a farmer I didn't know where that left me, and I guess what I realized was is that I didn't need land to grow, I just needed something to grow. And so, even though I wander, seeking thrills here and there, if I leave a seed to grow in my wake, then I think in my heart I'm still a farmer and this is one of my seeds.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. She said it twice. That's why he gives you a hug.

Speaker 4:

Oh, very cool, no, very cool, no no, no, we all know.

Speaker 2:

Bo Winder ranks above you and auntie's ranking tier list, son tier list.

Speaker 6:

Oh, you haven't even seen my handwritten list. You're like how would we Of? Nieces and nephews and children, ok, you don't want to see it, nithga, he's not long.

Speaker 5:

Nithga. Since you are here in this area quite a bit, it seems, can you tell us a little bit about Sil-Salon and the pilgrims that have been visiting?

Speaker 2:

Journaling further into the mountain has been crazy, getting to the lake at the summit even more so. We've had to close it off for the time being. Why there's been these strange people, nefarious people carrying out attacks on innocents? We've been trying to uproot them, but every time we start to get a lead they retreat back into the shadows. They employ centrifuge, arcane, magic, poison, dangerous, dangerous people bearing the sigil of Rukan. None of us have been able to make it to the lake to see what is wrong with the goddess. We've tried to obliterate these strange shrines and profane rituals that they've been doing in places, but it's like a multi-headed hydra. Every single time we uproot one vestige of it, another one pops up. We're getting outnumbered.

Speaker 7:

How many do you suspect they have roughly?

Speaker 2:

They have at least five operatives active right now. In the market itself, things are getting more and more dangerous by the day. People are beginning to mistrust one another. We've lost people, more people than we've ever lost.

Speaker 5:

And these operatives that are in the marketplace. What intelligence do you have about them? Let us roll.

Speaker 2:

They're collecting materials for something, something big, something necromanic. From what I can ascertain, I think they might be trying to resurrect him.

Speaker 6:

Oh, and do you think it's possible?

Speaker 2:

I didn't think it was.

Speaker 1:

What kind of materials?

Speaker 2:

Crystals, gems, things that can hold a lot of power in them. If I didn't know better, I would say the components for apotheosis.

Speaker 1:

Apotheosis.

Speaker 2:

The process by which one ascends to deityhood. Yeah, it's purely theoretical, though no one's ever actually been able to do it, are we sure?

Speaker 7:

Well, I can't be sure. I'm thinking back on Nuren and trying to place, just out of curiosity, if there's any similarity to that. Did she ascend or descend to the tea palace? Do you get it?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, give me a intelligence check 11. You think Nuren's case is something different. You're not sure if there is a relation.

Speaker 1:

Do you suspect anyone in particular, like someone from your tribe or your?

Speaker 2:

station. I don't think any member of the guard would Like we take a note to save people. The idea of any one of my rank betraying us, it just doesn't factor.

Speaker 7:

Then where do you suspect these operatives are?

Speaker 2:

They embed themselves in the marketplace here, yes, they're collecting reagents.

Speaker 4:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

So, and they've created a barrier at the lake.

Speaker 3:

But if we were able to find one of these agents here, would that possibly interest information that could break the barrier?

Speaker 2:

You might be able to.

Speaker 7:

I think this is not a bad idea.

Speaker 2:

Not only have any of us been unable to get in, but I think it might be preventing the deity from getting out. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Godhead.

Speaker 5:

What would happen for Rukon? To be resurrected Because the gods have all their struggles amongst themselves, and this time it happens to be affecting the people of the world.

Speaker 2:

I don't want to know what would happen if he came back to life. Between you and me, he doesn't have a very high opinion of us and normal people, and I do believe he's the one who sent my parents away. He wasn't always evil. He just has a very black and white view of what's good and what's bad.

Speaker 6:

And that is, in a way, evil. Do I not view anyone with nuance to take my sister? That is evil.

Speaker 7:

Who has what that we can do to.

Speaker 3:

You have to slice it.

Speaker 7:

Clearly I'm going to be someone else, but I can, so they're looking for components that can store great power.

Speaker 5:

I assume that with all of your modern technology you have something of that sort.

Speaker 3:

Oh, yeah, I've got. Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh, I could say that I'm selling off my stuff and whoever's going to buy it is a real suspicious customer. So I've got to get the word out. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Why are you crying? What's wrong? My son and I pick you up, by the way, this is Butcha, my son.

Speaker 2:

Butcha, so Butcha.

Speaker 3:

Never.

Speaker 2:

Butcha, buy Butcha stuff.

Speaker 3:

Yes, always. What do you want, Butcha?

Speaker 2:

Calculating, calculating, calculating Pinwheel.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so we've got two missions.

Speaker 4:

All right, I'm making a shopping list. Anybody else need anything? Okay, gram flour peas on us.

Speaker 5:

Make sure rock has shoes on Rock, is it? Yeah, yeah, yeah Okay.

Speaker 6:

Don't forget the garana snacks. Get us some garana snacks, yeah, some kiri chai would be great.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yes, that too, Okay, so we're going to have a little bit of a snack. Okay, so we're going to have a little bit of a snack.

Speaker 4:

Okay, so we're going to have a little bit of a snack. Yeah, yes, that too.

Speaker 1:

Also Ladoo, aunty has great standing in this town too Exactly so she has a lot of reputation, but we can.

Speaker 6:

Oh, I can kind of take a cue from you, sitara, I'm like do, do, do, do, do, do, do connect.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, that's working. Does that look like? Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I think a glow-up is in order. Oh my.

Speaker 6:

God, can you give me a make-up?

Speaker 4:

No, there's one thing I love it's a make-up from Antoine.

Speaker 7:

So maybe so, ladoo aunty, you can check with your customers Now. I have to keep an eye on them, see if there's anybody suspicious. Yeah, and.

Speaker 3:

I'll go around selling like a weird person outside of a concert. If you will a bardic performance going like hey, I've got tickets.

Speaker 1:

So you're going to sell, like, act like you're selling some kind of crystals and stuff. Power sources yeah, okay, very good.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

I think I can help you with that. Oh, okay, and watch your back. Oh, perfect, because I think if you're going to be hawking wears, then you might be attracting some unsavory customers. Yeah, hopefully, yeah, fingers crossed.

Speaker 7:

I think we should go together and maybe you stay with aunty. Um, yes, yeah, I just I'm leaving her alone Absolutely. And though we might need you to, those two are squishy.

Speaker 5:

Um, oh, perhaps we can all stick together.

Speaker 7:

What do you think, sol, could I tell you?

Speaker 5:

I find that there are strengthened numbers and that each of you has a part to play, just like in a performance that complements one another.

Speaker 6:

Except this time. I'm the star right T-Tara. Oh, today. Oh, when your auntie decides being on camera is fun, oh no.

Speaker 7:

Oh, vanda's day. Shoujo is just hiding under my skirt, right now no good luck. He's pulled the cloth over his head.

Speaker 3:

No, she's got a karaoke microphone. You're absolutely right.

Speaker 7:

Maybe we could all, or some of us could pretend to be buying stuff from you to make it seem more.

Speaker 3:

Yes, yes, okay, while I yeah, I'll just go up and down the line a little bit.

Speaker 7:

Do you need? I have some. I have a disguise kit, costume kit. Would you like to use it?

Speaker 3:

Maybe like a little mustache. Well, I have one, but a different one.

Speaker 5:

Do these agents know what you look like?

Speaker 7:

We don't know, not to my knowledge. We don't know who they are.

Speaker 1:

Certainly no one would know me.

Speaker 7:

Well, that's true, do you want to pretend to be me, then Huh, that would ensure that no one knows. Right, because you might be known.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, okay, so then I pretend to be you Selling yeah specific technical items.

Speaker 3:

That's the safest bet People could recognize me.

Speaker 7:

And people would definitely be recognized me. But I can change that.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and everyone's going to recognize you.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so I'm the guy that's selling the items.

Speaker 3:

Yes, you're me.

Speaker 1:

I'm you, yeah, and I'll be, you and you are you? No, you're someone else, I'll be someone else.

Speaker 7:

It's called acting. It's like this yes, okay, good, first you are, I just learned how to be a doctor. First you are acting with Ash to creative Ash, ash, ash, ash. And suddenly it's I have things for sale, ash.

Speaker 6:

I know exactly what you're referencing.

Speaker 2:

I'm asking you to say that I was getting much help and someone would really.

Speaker 7:

It's really wonderful acting advice from one of the greats.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'll try it sure.

Speaker 4:

Yeah and yes, and what's my?

Speaker 1:

motivation. Yeah, yes I learned a lot. Yes, and I will do it. Am I acting, yeah?

Speaker 2:

exactly. You patch your plans Perfect.

Speaker 6:

That's so tight. I'm glad you can come.

Speaker 7:

That's the semblance of a plan, totally makes sense.

Speaker 2:

And make your way into the market.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, and I'm just going to change into someone that I've seen walking around, ooh.

Speaker 6:

Hello, anyone want laddus? Free laddus sample.

Speaker 2:

A lot of people get excited at seeing the real laddouanti. They've only seen the animatronic Chuck E Cheese version.

Speaker 6:

Hello, yes, I'm the laddouanti.

Speaker 4:

She's really hamming it up.

Speaker 6:

She's got newfound confidence.

Speaker 2:

She's loving the attention Behind you, whirring away some distance. Hello yes, hello yes.

Speaker 6:

I don't even look or sound like that.

Speaker 1:

I think maybe the people to look for, the ones that are not excited about laddouanti, those are the folks we should go up to. That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so I'll do a quick perception check.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, go ahead and give me a perception check.

Speaker 5:

Okay, I'll also do a perception check Of course I'm going to do insight and just be clocking the focus.

Speaker 7:

Keep an eye out for everyone I'm going to second that Cool.

Speaker 3:

Oh, wisdom the second two 17., 17.

Speaker 2:

13. She knew.

Speaker 3:

That's why you got to roll with Erica.

Speaker 6:

Can I also do an arcana check, or is that psychotic?

Speaker 2:

No, you can. Okay, cool. What are you checking for?

Speaker 6:

Well, because you said the people that we were looking for might know or be using arcana and things like that, so I thought maybe it would be helpful. Yeah, traces on him.

Speaker 3:

I don't know if I can persist with that. I know we're stacking everything, but I have the tech magic on my eye patch so I will whisper anything my perception.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 3:

Except with the tech magic to you for your arcana check.

Speaker 5:

I love that I'm 23 insight. So anytime anybody points out something to me, I can just sort of do a scan. I'm very good at disowning how people are 23, 17.

Speaker 3:

13. 13. This party not great at hitting a mark, but when it's looking out for people, yeah, true, I got 16 perception, 8 arcana. Well, you can do that you can do that.

Speaker 6:

Oh my god, oh my god, that's what you said. Yeah, okay, okay, okay, that's great, shut up, shut up, shut up.

Speaker 4:

Everyone is shh Don't look, 18.

Speaker 7:

Yay.

Speaker 6:

Thank you, buddy. Thanks for being famous, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I only got to 12 for perception.

Speaker 2:

You notice, you kind of like take in the market around you the first thing, as you're like kind of casting a knowing eye over all of these stalls, over the strong of humanity coming here to pay respects at the summit of the mountain, you notice that there's a lot of commotion happening at Fatima's familiars. Now, that might not necessarily be anything going wrong, it's just all kinds of squawking, all kinds of sounds, all kinds of magical familiars.

Speaker 2:

It kind of sends your arcana like eye going kind of a little wild too, just because it's like a flood of magic coming out of this shop in particular.

Speaker 3:

Oh, Fatima.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, you see a number of assorted stalls selling everything from good luck charms to tourists souvenirs. Your name on a grain of sand Wow, that's a may chance, that's like a tiny yeah that's what I was thinking but it's so small, yeah, you see that you see the cast enlarge on the rice, right it, and then it goes back to normal and the rice is the same size. Oh, that's a good idea.

Speaker 3:

Well, now that I've seen it, I'm much less impressed. Yeah, that's a good idea.

Speaker 1:

It could have turned this tiny copper coin into something that's flat and has like a you know an emblem or a book, don't be ridiculous.

Speaker 2:

That's too crazy. You see beautiful patterned glass lanterns. You see flower shops selling not only necklaces of flowers but flower arrangements. You see a couple of shops selling not led dues but tea. You see an inn where people can stay bustling with people going about their business, and you see a couple of odds and end shops. You see one selling adventuring gear. So they've got climbing items, things like that, stuff that will in there would probably find very appealing if you want to base, jump off the mountain. And you also see a shop selling some, some jewelry, things like that Blessings, arcane focuses.

Speaker 2:

You see shops kind of selling a lot of, a lot of all these different components. With the insight check. You see a very concerned looking woman. She has the same single that you saw on Nipdika's arm and she is dressed in cleric garb, a tiefling, her horns kind of barely tucked under the hood of a shawl that's wrapped around her several times, her hooves easily finding purchase on the rocky ground. As she moves around, you see a standard like in her hand of the order that she is a part of and you see her like kind of nervously plucking at a malla around her neck, just kind of, you know, saying like a little prayer to herself as she nervously, like, just flips the beads around, the pearls around.

Speaker 5:

What's the prayer for?

Speaker 2:

With that 23,. You would you would glean that she is praying for protection.

Speaker 7:

Since I'm I look like someone else, I'm going to go up and shop. Look at what she's looking. What exactly is she looking at?

Speaker 2:

She's like kind of hidden under an awning, like she's trying to like hide under an awning or blend in in plain sight, assassin's Creed style, where she's like kind of ducked under the awning, has her hood pulled close and is kind of like she's not even looking at anything per se. She's like gazing off into the distance and just kind of like absentmindedly clicking this, this, like malla, this rosary around her neck.

Speaker 5:

Perhaps just greatly go over and ask if she needs anything.

Speaker 7:

And there is stuff there that you look at like I could be shopping.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, she's in front of a store that sells glass bangles. They're just like lined up color coordinated vibgur.

Speaker 7:

I have stepped behind her, changed into an old lady and I come up to the person. Oh, you're liking what you see.

Speaker 2:

You say this to the woman, yeah, yeah, yeah, who looks like this, by the way, Dude so cute. Oh, yes, yes.

Speaker 7:

Is there something here that you might want to try on or do? Oh, no, no, no.

Speaker 2:

I'm just looking, it's fine.

Speaker 7:

Perhaps you're looking for a different kind of token and I'm going to cast a tech thought.

Speaker 2:

Oh, incredible. I believe you get the first surface level thought, which is he'll kill her. She's going to roll a wisdom save. That is a 13.

Speaker 7:

That is not enough to save.

Speaker 2:

As you delve deeper into her thoughts, you hear her say I have to stop him, but he has her and he'll kill her. I don't know what to do, so long guide me.

Speaker 7:

What is your name?

Speaker 2:

I'm sorry what.

Speaker 7:

What is your name?

Speaker 2:

Listen I. What is your name? Roll intimidate or persuasion if you're trying to scare her into telling you her, channel your inner on to you.

Speaker 7:

No, I'm not trying to intimidate her. I'm trying to convince her. Each of them.

Speaker 2:

Each of them Sonia, sonia.

Speaker 7:

I think perhaps we might be looking for the same thing.

Speaker 2:

I don't think you can help me.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to speak into her head, you can trust me, and that's in my normal voice. You can trust me. I think we are both looking for the same place, and I do am looking for someone who is in trouble. They're all throughout the market. They're getting ready to strike. Can you point them out to me? I know what one of them is. Tell me by the band. The band as in the musical band.

Speaker 2:

I saw them there. They have my little sister. They told me that if I do anything, if I say anything, they'll kill her.

Speaker 7:

Just go with me. Oh, my back, would you, dear girl, would you please help me. I need to get back to my home.

Speaker 2:

She puts her hand on your back and tries to escort you.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, and then if we can walk by any of these guys on our way out, I want to let them know telepathically. We need to go to the band. We know that it is a. I basically convey all of this stuff Roll deception For guidance. What did you say?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, just got this 16.

Speaker 2:

16. You begin to make your way throughout the stalls and as you do, you hear a commotion behind you Coming out of the familiar shop, not the usual cacophony of squawks and squeals, but something else.

Speaker 7:

Can we just look and we see anything from William.

Speaker 2:

Yes, as you're moving with Sonia through the street stalls, something small and globular comes bursting out of the familiar shop doors With a hooded and robed, nefarious looking creature chasing after it. Roll for initiative and we're going to get a set out here Whoa, map, map, map, map, map map map, map, map, map, map map.

Speaker 1:

Hey everyone. Have you ever wondered why we call everyone Uncle and why I am such a bad uncle in this show? Well, don't worry, we're going to have all your curiosities met here, thanks to our super talented friends, the Get Brown, and we wanted to use this time at intermission not just to showcase our sponsors, but also to elevate voices in our community artistic voices and these guys are freaking hilarious. So get a little lesson here on what Uncle is all about from this sketch by the Get Brown.

Speaker 8:

In Indian culture, the term Uncle or Aunty can be used to address most adults as a sign of respect. Whether it's your mom's brother, a family friend or a stranger selling mangoes on the street, uncle is always appropriate and usually pays off.

Speaker 3:

Mango $3.

Speaker 8:

Excuse me, could I have a mango for $2? No, please, uncle. Okay, here you go. Brita, thank you, and a Starbucks coffee, thanks, uncle. And now to review Uncle, uncle, uncle, not Uncle. And now you're ready to Get Brown.

Speaker 2:

Welcome back to our gorgeous set. I'm so excited. It's stunning. I want to take a moment to thank the wonderful people at Fonko who helped make this happen Our wonderful production designer, kat Debo, thank you so much. Our jungle set was done by Lacey Barker and Jared Carlson Thank you so much. And this lovely market set was done by Ryan Henry and Kyle McMaster. The set design was done by Andrea Dilly and Andrew Lyons, who designed and built the structure for the tea kettle behind us and our wonderful minis. All of our player minis were done by Hero Ford. And, as for all the painting, the wonderful Knox Weiler Burr.

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah.

Speaker 2:

That was many good things. I think I did a total of two, and they're the ones that don't look as good. But, all the good ones were done by the Roll for initiative.

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

Okay 22.

Speaker 3:

Oh, uh, nine.

Speaker 2:

Anybody higher than a 10? 12. Okay, four, are you all ready?

Speaker 3:

Yep, let's do this.

Speaker 2:

Are you all ready?

Speaker 3:

for this.

Speaker 2:

Bursting out of the familiar shop, chased by a half serpentine figure wearing a human skull mask on his face, cloaked in black, carrying two daggers. You see, you're gonna melt. You're gonna melt when you see what comes out of this familiar shop. No, be-be-be-be-be-holder, no.

Speaker 6:

What A child. It is a child beholder.

Speaker 2:

A baby being attacked by this man, this jerk Trying to capture it, you jerk?

Speaker 7:

No, he's a bad guy. I don't like him, not on our watch. He's the fairest looking. Wait, where did they come out of the? Shop the familiar shop which one is the blue or the red the blue, so they just ran right by us.

Speaker 2:

Mm-hmm, it is the man saying anything or You'll have to see what you can perceive.

Speaker 7:

He just looks like a weirdo.

Speaker 2:

Right. You see this be-be trying to get away from this man. The small beholder goes wobbling through the shop as it does so go like oh no and goes floating through one of the stalls above your head, sitara, and you see this man slithering up behind him as he does. The entire marketplace explodes in pandemonium. It goes forward from somewhere up the mountain. It puts a sinking feeling into your stomach. As the entire diba, the rock diba, shutters Mm-hmm as it does, the market explodes with people screaming, crying, all kinds of chaos breaking loose at once. The dissonant whispers performing in the Rangali pavilion do their best to Maintain order as their instruments start to come to life. Oh no.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay.

Speaker 2:

And somewhere far up the mountain you hear Psychically your patron Silsalon let out a long and slow, as though in great distress. Baby goes first. As this man reaches out, one dagger and tries to sort of grab this baby with Like what looks to be less a dagger and more of like a hook to grab it and kind of like Tame it like a very cruel instrument known as an elephant hook, the baby, in a panic, fires off one of its eye ray stalks. Yes, I'm going to roll a d4. Since it doesn't really have control, since it is babby, that's a three. One, two, three. It's going to hit Sonya oh but maybe something good.

Speaker 6:

Maybe with something good, like hit her with a like kind of sick beat and Tony is like, hey, there's a realisation of how awesome she is.

Speaker 2:

And then only being able to use two eye rays instead of three. Since it is babby, the second one is going to hit Sitara with a two.

Speaker 1:

Can I know what babby is?

Speaker 6:

You're just saying it's a baby yeah. Oh it's like a Q wave thing.

Speaker 5:

You were like what is babby? How is babby born?

Speaker 4:

In five years.

Speaker 1:

Babby is born.

Speaker 4:

It's from Bretzel Ford. Yeah, they don't have babbies.

Speaker 7:

Right, okay, that's fantastic.

Speaker 2:

It hits Sonya with a charm ray. Oh no.

Speaker 6:

Again, not the worst.

Speaker 2:

She has to make a wisdom saving throw, or be charmed by the baby beholder. It's not terrible, she makes the save. It hits you, sitara, with the telekinetic ray. Give me a strength, save Guidance.

Speaker 7:

Can I guide saving throws or only regular throws? No, okay, no guidance. Strength save, strength, save. That is not my strength. Suit I'm gonna make it.

Speaker 2:

The eye stock comes up, the cultist ducks underneath it. It hits you, throwing you 30 feet back I believe that's into the familiar shop. As you collide with the door of the shop, you take six bludgeoning damage, crashing through backwards. The baby is then going to use its movement To move 20 feet trying to get away from this thing. Five, 10, 15, 20. It does get an op attack. It misses Sitara. Okay, dusting yourself off. Surrounded in a shop of magical familiars, you see the shop keep distraught that the baby beholder has been stolen from her.

Speaker 7:

I'm gonna run out the door. I'm going to get just back to where I was. I am going to Jotu and I'm going to cast Scorching Grey on the dude with the skull. Perfect 12 plus 7, 19. 17. And no.

Speaker 2:

Two hits roll damage. First one is 11.

Speaker 7:

Second one, e, e, is 7. And when I do, I just want to go up on top of each other, so I get them stacked on him, oh cool.

Speaker 3:

At the same time just.

Speaker 2:

The two Scorching Rays go out, both of them colliding with this being. You see some of the black robes kind of go up in flames as both of your attacks hit.

Speaker 7:

Would you like to do anything else? I already did everything I can, so now Jotu goes. How close am I? Are we to?

Speaker 2:

the dooter. You are about 10 feet 10 feet, so he can't. Am I correct 10 feet?

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna say you're correct.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 7:

I'm gonna have Jotu actually climb up one of the stalls, however high up he can get, and then throw a flaming furball. Okay, yeah, flames seam Roll to hit he goes. Ah, ah, ah, ah, he does not hit, all right.

Speaker 2:

Ash, you are up. You see this pandemonium break out some distance ahead of you.

Speaker 1:

Is this the only suspicious man that we see?

Speaker 2:

Give me a perception. Check he looks suspicious.

Speaker 3:

no, he's chasing a baby, oh look at all in black.

Speaker 7:

those are skulls. I love that one. He's chasing a baby. I mean it's a baby beholder, but he's chasing a baby 14.

Speaker 2:

With a 14, that is the only suspicious man you see.

Speaker 1:

Okay, and you're pretty badly hurt yeah. Yes, he is Are you playing it cool, don't worry about me. Don't worry about me.

Speaker 7:

Fix him, fix him, no I.

Speaker 1:

Is it possible that I can clamber over?

Speaker 2:

to this. I'm going to take you quite a bit of movement because you can move half your movement speed to climb. These are about 15 feet high.

Speaker 3:

Okay, you can get to the bottom of the roof.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they're 10 to 15 feet high.

Speaker 1:

Okay, because I'm quite you can go through an alley.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you can attempt. If you want to use your acrobatics, you can attempt to find a way through the stalls.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'll do that. Okay, Come on tail, come on punch.

Speaker 7:

I mean seriously stop with the digital eyes, okay? It never goes well for you.

Speaker 1:

I got a nine.

Speaker 2:

You get a nine, not bad, as you move through those barrels.

Speaker 6:

Mm-mm. Somebody in those fucking barrels.

Speaker 7:

That was a lot faster than I mentioned I could come out. I just felt bad for you. Does a 24 hit? Oh no, Just play a little bit. Okay. Okay, you take.

Speaker 2:

Cool, excellent. Seven bludgeoning damage and you are grappled.

Speaker 3:

Whoa, what's going on?

Speaker 2:

there, bye. Someone is One of the barrels. Come to life. Oh for mimic. Wait, you just put that. Oh, you want me to help you now? Yes, please?

Speaker 5:

How does it make a deal, shall we?

Speaker 2:

I'm like, I'm like here is as you, yeah, as you leap over these barrels, it'll be behind you so light, like kind of. You see those barrels you leaped over yeah, it was one of them, so it would be like. It's like I'm like here, yeah, in that little alleyway, stop it, and then you are adhered to, so you are grappled by it. Right, that's? You know what? That's perfect, that's pretty excellent.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, it's all done.

Speaker 2:

That's some so as you leap over these barrels and crates and you make your way through this storage area, one of them comes to life and grabs you Cool.

Speaker 4:

There's the.

Speaker 2:

You see the sort of the store keep of the stall, fighting off another one of these as another rush of negative energy falls over the marketplace. Oh, okay, not great, that was your movement.

Speaker 3:

Okay, there's still an action.

Speaker 2:

You can use your action, I believe, to try to get away from this.

Speaker 1:

To just get out of the grapple. Yeah, okay, yeah, I will do so.

Speaker 2:

Ability checks made to escape this grapple. Do have this advantage.

Speaker 1:

Okay, can I use acrobatics Trying to get my?

Speaker 2:

weight weasel my way out. Yeah, you can use either a deck save or a strength save to try to get out. Oh, I see.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I'll use a deck save for sure yeah. Trying to get slippery? Okay, we have disadvantage.

Speaker 2:

Roll twice and take the lower.

Speaker 1:

I'm just going to roll them together. Here we go. You got it. You got it. So a nat 20.

Speaker 6:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

And another nat 20 and a 10. So what plus four, 14?.

Speaker 2:

You are still grappled by the creature. Come on, I'm a little Wait. Would you say 14? Yeah, you are able to get out. Meets it, meets it, meets it. Yeah, you are able to. It was only at 13,.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, oh, beats it, beats it, so you are able to pull your foot out of this long, wet, velvet tongue that feels like it's just kind of velcroed onto you and you are just able to gain your freedom.

Speaker 2:

That is going to take. You have your bonus action. I believe that's it.

Speaker 1:

And my bonus action. Thank you for the foot scrub, yeah. And then for my bonus action. I'd like to healing word my buddy over here.

Speaker 4:

Thank you.

Speaker 1:

More cup.

Speaker 4:

All right, what about?

Speaker 1:

Two, that's two. You get my friend 11 points of damage.

Speaker 7:

Really, oh done, all right, all right, back in the game. Sound very exciting. Back in the game. One more goes back you healed.

Speaker 1:

You're done healed.

Speaker 3:

So you hop over a fence, you duck down, you start to get eaten by a barrel which you kind of just kick off, and then you talk to me and then I put a bandit on you.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, insane.

Speaker 7:

That's a pretty rock star move. Thanks, Ash Okay.

Speaker 3:

This one's turn.

Speaker 7:

Oh.

Speaker 3:

No, no, no I don't think so.

Speaker 2:

It has a reach of 10 feet. It's going to reach towards you. Since you burned it. Does a 16 hit? Yeah, 167 plus four 11 bludgeoning damage and you are constricted as it takes the lower half of its body and wraps it around you.

Speaker 4:

You are grappled.

Speaker 2:

Then, from somewhere in the market, you hear a profane ritual being conducted. Another negative energy flood bursts out over the market. You hear, from somewhere further in, things begin to come alive as more sort of arcane overspill or arcane flux. Chaos bursts out into the market. You hear the cries of people running of dishes, shattering of carts being overturned, as these words echo that you cannot ascertain from whence they are coming. Once again, you hear this call of Silsalon crying out in pain, as somewhere in the market a dark ritual continues to be conducted.

Speaker 7:

We don't. Yeah, there's no way for us to figure out where it's coming from.

Speaker 5:

Nuri, I close my eyes. I can hear my patrons call for help. So much going on, so much confusion, so much distraction, so much chaos. But I am about control and it closed my eyes and I focus in on where the calls are coming from.

Speaker 2:

Are you using your card Very well. As you hold out this card and focus, the market begins to disappear from view. Your eyes are flooded by steam, comforting steam, warm steam, whisking you away to a parallel dimension. Will you join me in the tea kettle? As the steam clouds part, you find yourself in a room full of thick tapestries blotting out the windows. You see tufted velvet furniture around you and you see an entity with purple skin, long hair that gently kind of takes life, grabbing cups from the walls and Pouring you a cup of tea. Her eyes, a deep purple color, look like a kettle about to come to a boil and she regards you, taking you in for a moment before she says oh.

Speaker 5:

You're a rather odd little creature, aren't you?

Speaker 2:

hello, my name is Nori oh, my name is new in oh Well, it's a pleasure to meet you.

Speaker 5:

I thought that you were in the desert. Yes, if I have my stories correct, that was a long time ago.

Speaker 2:

I see I've since retired.

Speaker 5:

Well, may I ask how I ended up here?

Speaker 4:

ah.

Speaker 2:

My frequent flyer card.

Speaker 5:

A gift did I fly here? Yes, fascinating safe.

Speaker 2:

I Provide shelter to those who need it, to those in need, and sometimes, if they are to redeem a boon, depending on what they ask, I can help them. It looks like you only have one left, so I suppose you'll have to choose very wisely. How can I help you child?

Speaker 5:

Well, I'm not sure if you're abreast of the current events in the world of mortals, but Sylph Alon has disappeared. She's in pain and unable to escape. Come down the mountain to perform the ritual, to allow the crops to how to to to flourish and the people to thrive. Hmm, I don't know if you can help with that tall of an order, or if this is something redeemable for a smaller boom, such as finding those that are causing her this pain ah.

Speaker 2:

I recently reacquired the sensation of rage. Sometimes I think, now that I can feel it again, I can sense it in others. Tell me, are you angry?

Speaker 5:

I've check in for a moment on my feelings. I'm used to being able to compartmentalize them Extremely well. I think they're going to be able to do something about it. Well, I think that if Just a moment I sort of sidle up to one of the cushions and I Sit down, yes, I'm a little angry. I See so much that is unfair in this world. I see so much that is ignored, and why Would anybody try to Trap a goddess and Inhibit the well-being of a whole entire world? And then why can't people ever just Drink the rest of their drinks or at least throw, throw them away? Or I Constantly having to get new mugs of chai for everyone? Yes, I'm angry.

Speaker 2:

You should be. Give me a wisdom save.

Speaker 5:

And then plus three, I believe so 18, 18, sorry, sorry. No, that was good like during that one moment of Panic, my hair flares up and is like, yeah, true flame, and it's still blue because of the coppery patina, but it's it's licking and and and leaping and then suddenly it's very smooth again and it looks once again like a perfect welding torch.

Speaker 2:

You see her hair come alive as she Gently kind of adjusts your clothing, Takes a stray you know bit of flame and smooths it with her hair. She gently offers you a cup of chai and says those that care for others seldom take good care of themselves.

Speaker 5:

Oh.

Speaker 2:

You have expressed your rage in a healthy fashion. That's good and thereby you feel, release. I Will give you what you seek, your target. But you must promise me something this warship, or ever con you, will destroy him.

Speaker 5:

Utterly. Is that a request made out of anger or out of care for others? Both well, I hope you're enjoying your retirement and trying to there.

Speaker 2:

When you return to your friends, you will see him. This I promise you good luck. Thank you and you rejoin the land of the living.

Speaker 5:

Oh my god, that was so cool.

Speaker 3:

Well, I would love to know.

Speaker 2:

You are not Inflicted with the enraged conditions, since you were able to keep your wits about you, and you know that here a profane ritual is being conducted. You can see clearly outlined in Steam, like you can see it like x-ray vision through objects, through everything just Outlined in your eye line and pure white steam.

Speaker 5:

He's there, he's over there, and I give the exact coordinates and names of cross streets.

Speaker 2:

Would you like to use your movement, your action or your bonus action?

Speaker 5:

I can see him. Yes, yes, I Misty, step towards him, perfect. And then I point out to everyone he's there and I Use my bonus action for hex blade curse.

Speaker 2:

Yes, All right all right there, by cursing him yes, perfect.

Speaker 3:

Marca, I see you just boom onto the rooftop right there and get an idea and go copy. I still have expeditious retreat on me from when I was From one what.

Speaker 3:

I was worried you were gonna hit me, so I'm going to actually use that to. I'm gonna grab my cannon and I'm gonna hop over the stall, like I'm gonna use my speed to like, get over and get a bead on this person. Of course, my movement, so I'm now on the other side. Sorry, ash, good luck. I Land here, mm-hmm. Having now known where the gentleman is, my cannon, though stick. I dropped my cannon off at the top of the roof. Okay, right here, mm-hmm, I land. And this person is hexed. Currently leaves persons cursed, right? Yes, wonderful, I'm going to cast grease. I'm going to blast grease from my coat Through, like whatever this like little plant stall is onto that person. They need to make a dex 14 or their problem.

Speaker 2:

Perfect, you said dex 13, dex 14, 14. That's an 11 no.

Speaker 3:

So now they're slippy slidey, covered in grease as I look up to my flamethrower cannon, light them up. Alright that's going to be a dex 14 again.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, but they're prone, so With the prone condition their only movement option is to crawl. They have disadvantage on attack rolls, but I do think they can make a dex save as normal.

Speaker 3:

Okay, till like.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, the rules for a little weird but he is hex.

Speaker 2:

What is your hex? Blades cursed you.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, you gain plus three bonus to damage rolls and score critical hit on a roll of 1920. Okay, and regain 10 HP.

Speaker 2:

Okay, so I think the curse doesn't affect it, so they'll just be rolling their dex, save as normal, although 21. That'll do it as they're slipping and sliding their serpentine tail, kicking out behind them, the flamethrower Goes wide. However, we will say that the grease can catch fire.

Speaker 4:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

So go ahead and roll 1d6. Flame damage regardless. It's four, hey four. Just do anything else on your turn that's it.

Speaker 3:

I believe that's all I got.

Speaker 5:

It is a pretty good turn.

Speaker 2:

Well played. Okay, it is Sonya's turn. She is going to summon her healing spirit on to you, her friend as you're. You're standing there, you see a small bird Land on your shoulder like a pheasant and it begins to heal you. Now, the first time on your turn, you will heal, and Then that will be her turn. She is actually gonna use her action to move Forward towards the baby beholder.

Speaker 6:

No, it's this one here, yeah, but I do wonder who that is.

Speaker 2:

That's your rival From the ship. That's her. When you ask for a business card, yeah yeah, Lily. Okay, how far are you gone? She's moving 20 feet as she tries to look for her little sister, and that is Sonya's turn. Let's do, auntie, you're up.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, yeah, okay. So I think led to auntie sees that morca's got our that little freak over there and kind of Handled she's gonna try to help ash with this barrel. Let's see how far away I am from ash and the barrel guy.

Speaker 2:

Oh, you're like 15 feet away.

Speaker 6:

You're very close great, so I can use my weapons within range. Okay, great, so I'm gonna attack the barrel. Go for it. Okay, wait, may I Rage?

Speaker 4:

Oh, you do not see an angry auntie.

Speaker 7:

You, none of you, have ever seen me angry.

Speaker 6:

No, that wasn't anger. I was speaking loudly, it's different.

Speaker 5:

It's different. This is Ray cuz final form.

Speaker 6:

She's known for playing barbarian I know, I have to stop playing barbarians after this. Um, okay, we're gazing into the future. So I will attack with my hand ox a 23 to head.

Speaker 4:

Wow.

Speaker 6:

Oh, you don't take that barrel, and then I roll Eight. Damage is that with your rage damage your additional rage damage. And what could that mean, jasmine, to me? What should that? Um, while you're, raging. Oh, I add, I add um To melee damage yes. Yes, so that's a tech, that's a time that's your first attack go ahead and roll your second.

Speaker 6:

Okay, and I do the same thing. Are you just slapping this thing? Yeah, I'll give you some sauce on that. So I just hold 24 to hit that hit, that's a hit. So as I'm doing this, I see this barrel Attacking my nephew. Basically my poor, simple-minded. From the strange land of pale skin, strip people. And I say the only person that can hit my nephew is me. This barrel said 24 to hit, so then damage is Is Eight Plus two, yeah, that was with the plus two.

Speaker 2:

With the plus two, a pretty hefty blow, as, as auntie strikes this thing, you notice like the mimics like Form, shift, like putty a few times, as she actually leaves dense in the top of this chest shaped mimic With her grievous blows. That's your action, your bonus action and I believe it's your movement, gorgeous, amazing. Then it's Baby behold. These turn. Bb is still scared and is gonna move towards Merca. Seeing butch out there, seeing another baby. Yeah, seeing butch. Ah, yeah, the baby beholder moves forward and says I'm just much the how much you are, come on, I'm just ready.

Speaker 5:

How many? You are just buddy.

Speaker 6:

I'm just buddy, I'm just buddy.

Speaker 2:

To butcha and since he's, let's see, make a. Make a persuasion check with butcha stats to see if you can calm him down so his eye stocks don't go off this turn cool Persuasion is going to be off of charisma.

Speaker 3:

It's a negative two.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, as the baby beholder bobbles forward, butcha goes, threat detected, threat detected, and the beholder gets a little scared, fighting its bottom lip, hiding it's once smiling. It has like one tooth actually, if you look at the mini. The smile instead turns into a frown. One big teardrop begins to form at the edge of its eye and, in a fear, the eye stocks go off again. It can hit one, one, two, yeah one two. Three for Sonia, four for the bad guy, five, roll a d6. If it's a six, it hits no one roll play.

Speaker 2:

To Just to, and a four, sorry, so so is it's a bad guy. The first eye stock goes wide. The second one shoots back straight towards the bad guy.

Speaker 1:

I'm just gonna say that as a father of a three and a half year old, who also doesn't get along with kids that are younger, yeah just totally tracks.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah, they are affected by the slowing rate. They have to succeed on a. They make their dexay, so they're fine. Boo yeah, the eye stock centers on this Naga creature and it begins to slow it. But then it breaks free with an 18 on the diro and that is baby. Behold these turn baby. Baby, behold the in the deep blue sea.

Speaker 4:

Slim, so wild you son so free Sorry.

Speaker 7:

Okay, I'm sorry of your turn. You heal a hill, oh one d6.

Speaker 2:

No, you heal. 2d6, as the pheasant on your shoulder showers you in healing energy.

Speaker 7:

Oh, thank you very much. That's much better. Okay, question Mm-hmm. I am Grapple, right, yes, okay, am I my grapple like this? Can I do this with my hands, or am I completely on my hands, remotely free?

Speaker 2:

Um, let me see so. You, when you're grappled, you become incapacitated, which means you can't take actions or reaction. Okay, in that case I'll try to get out of it. You can't?

Speaker 7:

yes, yes, there's so many choices of dice, 13 plus, I think, one. Its strength, or what is it? Strength or decks? I will definitely take decks. Uh, what was it?

Speaker 2:

15. That is enough. Yeah, you are able to slide out of its tail and regain your freedom.

Speaker 7:

You are no longer incapacitated was that and that's an action. That's right. So I have a bonus action and movement great.

Speaker 2:

Well, you make the attempt at the end of your turn, I believe.

Speaker 7:

So that's it all I can do is get out. I think so. I think, okay, the question on the map. The way we are now, I'm pretty far away from him. Yeah, is that accurate?

Speaker 4:

He has really long.

Speaker 2:

Okay, he has really long reach. Okay in that case. But if you were to move away from him, that would not provoke an op attack, since you're not engaged in melee so.

Speaker 7:

So Show two has move and action as well. Yes, excellent. I mean, have Cho to come to me, jump in my arms and hug me, and we're going to.

Speaker 2:

Into a 15 feet.

Speaker 7:

Put me 15 feet over back way. Yes, madam.

Speaker 2:

You're like our mini butler, cuz you're the only one.

Speaker 7:

Yeah, I think I want to be on the roof, yeah you can do that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, he can teleport yeah, so here, what does that seem right?

Speaker 7:

That's right, that's right, yeah, I just want to get somewhere out of that.

Speaker 2:

I think. What is the radius on Cho Choo's fiery teleport? It's five feet, so okay, so he is out of reach of the.

Speaker 7:

Hoping that he was in reach, but that's okay. He got me out of the way yeah role for Cho Choo.

Speaker 2:

Is that Cho Choo's full action? Mm-hmm, okay, perfect. With that, it is your turn, ash.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I think I'm gonna hop up here, because that should be my movement, yeah okay, perfect, and then does a, because I'll provoke an op attack on what? On the?

Speaker 2:

mimic. The mimic gets to hit you because you're leaving its melee attack range.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

So that's a bite, does a 17 hit? I've I've an AC of 17, meets it, beats it so you take Six piercing damage and five acid damage as it, it manages to bite into you just as you're reaching its range and you're able to climb up on to the top of this shop roof, safely out of its grasp, but a little bit worse for the wear that's your movement. What would you like to do with your action and bonus action?

Speaker 1:

Do I have the line of sight on?

Speaker 2:

Yes the baddie I would say it does still have partial cover, but you are able to attack it. I'm gonna be generous with that one. We're not using Warhammer rules.

Speaker 4:

Great well, then I will.

Speaker 1:

I will go ahead and cast Fire. A fire bolt, 19 to hit, that hits roll, that's seven fire damage seven fire damage and my bonus action I'm gonna heal myself with the healing word I'm gonna give myself Cuz I'm hurting guys. Four plus a 12.

Speaker 2:

Then it is the cultists turn all right. So the first one is going to Merca what up, make a wisdom saving throw oh.

Speaker 3:

With my negative two. For those of you have a deity, pray for me.

Speaker 2:

11 you are turned into a tiny snake. The other one is gonna use this action to stand up from the prone condition. Technically, I should have made you roll with disadvantage, but I forgot. That's fine, um. So he stands up from the prone condition and that is gonna be his turn. He's going to attempt to move. Well, the grease was burned up, so he is going to move out Away from the partial cover into full cover. This way, the other one will move oh no. I drop an old lady over.

Speaker 7:

Why would you do such a?

Speaker 2:

thing. The other one is going to move towards the baby. Mmm so near get it 40. But he can't grab him on this turn since he used his action to polymorph. This time you don't feel a negative energy flood.

Speaker 7:

Mm-hmm, because he couldn't do it. Wouldn't do it, noory.

Speaker 5:

Get him, get him, get him. All right, Get him, get him, get him. I move up To right, to the rooftop, right above the cultus, yeah.

Speaker 4:

To assist him in the cultus.

Speaker 5:

Do you love her, this one or this one that?

Speaker 2:

one Perfect. As you move forward, actually give me a perception check.

Speaker 5:

Oh 18 on the dive.

Speaker 6:

But I think there's plus.

Speaker 5:

That's a dirty 20. You did.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you see the dissonant whispers nearby trying to play their music, but one of their spare instruments has come to life and is attacking them. It occurs to you that if you could aid them, they might be able to help you back. Oh, Just because you're on the rooftop and you can see them so clearly from around. That's true. Are you on?

Speaker 5:

All right, I reach forward with both hands, I extend them and one eldritch blast slams towards the instruments that I see come to life. Yeah, roll to hit, roll to hit, damn it 14.

Speaker 2:

That's a hit, oh we did it Nice.

Speaker 5:

So, and then that's 12. 12. Whoa.

Speaker 6:

It's a force damage.

Speaker 5:

Where is the?

Speaker 2:

instrument, by the way, it's like in their spare equipment. It was like trying to attack them.

Speaker 5:

All right, it's force damage and it pushes Ah.

Speaker 3:

Goodbye, Dobblah yeah.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, as your eldritch blasts smacks into this harmonium, the keys go flying and it is pushed back.

Speaker 6:

Oh, I don't like harmoniums as it hits.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, honestly, this is. It doesn't have any hit points. So as you send it flying backwards into, like this, pile of pots, it shatters and falls to the ground, lifeless, no longer animated. Hell yeah.

Speaker 5:

All right, musicians, the coordinates at second and central street. This is called from the musicians. Did you only have one eldritch blast? No, I do have the second one and the second one going to attempt to push it into the baby. To push 12.

Speaker 2:

A 12, I believe, misses it. Does you still have your bonus action?

Speaker 5:

I do have my bonus action, all right. So I fire off one and take out the harmonium. Call the musicians, reach out the. Unfortunately, the eldritch blast to the man right in front of me does not quite work, so I extend my hand and a blade of fire swivels out from a sleeve. Oh, and it looks like a bright. It looks like a bright blue scimitar.

Speaker 2:

Oh, beautiful.

Speaker 6:

I don't know much about that part. We're mostly with winkies, it's just oh.

Speaker 2:

Look at that. At the end of your turn, dissonant whispers will now start playing yes, as the group picks up their song, they impart you all, since there's three of them with an inspiration die. So they've got three to give out. It'll go to the three closest, so it'll be Ash, merca, who's a snake, and and and this die. This inspiration die is a bit unique, since it's the College of Valor Whoa. Go on. So you can use this inspiration die in two ways. You can either use it in the traditional Bartik inspiration way, so when you're making an attack, you can add that inspiration to your world to help buff it, or when you take an attack, you can add it to your AC. Three of you get this, three of you that are closest. So Ash Nuri, merca, you are infused with this Bartik inspiration. Die, merca, you are a snake.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

I think you just had the stat block of a snake. Now you can't speak, cast spells or take any other action that requires hands or speech. You are just a tiny snake.

Speaker 3:

Now here's a question Mm-hmm, I can cast spells through Butcha normally. Mm-hmm, as a snake, would I be able to cast spells through Butcha?

Speaker 2:

That's a good question. It says the target's gear melds into the new form. The target can't activate, use, wield or otherwise benefit from any of its equipment. Does Butcha count as an equipment Butcha?

Speaker 6:

is a solid snake. I think. Butcha would not like to be a solid equipment.

Speaker 7:

Butcha is not an equipment.

Speaker 4:

He's a child.

Speaker 7:

He's just like this baby-be-be-holder.

Speaker 4:

He's just a child.

Speaker 2:

Okay, you know what, you know what I'll allow you to, but your mental ability scores are replaced by the statistics of a tiny snake.

Speaker 3:

Great, so it's gonna be an improvement.

Speaker 6:

Oh great, smarter now I'm smarter and hotter now Okay okay, this could be a hot little snake.

Speaker 2:

So that may affect your damage Total 10.

Speaker 3:

One improvement. I have a little tie.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, you're just like this little itty-bitty poisonous snake.

Speaker 7:

Amazing.

Speaker 6:

Oh and poisonous. Yeah Ooh, it's a strange thing. What's his movement speed?

Speaker 2:

His movement speed is 30 feet. You can swim 30 feet as well.

Speaker 3:

Well, why don't I? Okay, because Buccia can also act on a bonus action, and we would have totally set up like hey, if I'm ever turned into a snake, here's what you should do.

Speaker 5:

Ha, ha, ha ha. It's just like you tell your kid, you know when you're if I can't pick you up.

Speaker 6:

If I was your worm, that's right. Okay, snake more active, All right, so what do you do?

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna go bite the uh, the uh. Yeah, I'm gonna go. Yeah, I'm a little snake. I'm gonna go bite the other snake. I'm gonna bite the big snake. Okay, and try to go for a little venomous bite.

Speaker 2:

Roll to hit, you have a plus five and you have a reach of five feet. Uh, If you want to use it, you have the answer.

Speaker 7:

They're not immune to the. I'm telling you yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah let's do this D8 too.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yeah, it's a hit yeah.

Speaker 3:

Ha, ha ha, that's well, oh wait, no seven 17.

Speaker 2:

17, that hit. What's my damage? Dang it, you deal one piercing damage automatically and then the target must make a DC 10 con save or take poison damage. Um, however, this thing is immune to being poisoned yeah

Speaker 1:

you can't be poisoned Because you use the same thing Can't be poisoned by their own goo, yeah.

Speaker 2:

So you kind of just bit it and it's, you heard it like a little. That's so funny. Okay, I can't.

Speaker 6:

I can't, I can't. Would, it be like giving someone more blood or something.

Speaker 3:

Like a blood transfusion. Merca doesn't know this, so like I bite, and then I'm just like as the snake, I'm just like ha ha, ha Ha ha, ha, ha Ha ha, ha ha.

Speaker 7:

Maybe it's like you just hook it in its mouth. Such a hot mess.

Speaker 3:

Um, and whereas Bacha is going to cast, eat metal, making the occultist drop the alcohol, oh Ooh, or at least drop it or keep getting hurt.

Speaker 2:

All right, I think it makes a con save 14. Have a plus three to con 13. Damn.

Speaker 3:

If it doesn't beat it, it doesn't beat it.

Speaker 6:

Right, don't beat it, luzi.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it's a drop this dagger that it's holding to the ground. Oh, is that your turn?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, and then takes the two D8 damage. Yes, the two D8 damage. Okay, it's gonna be three plus eight 11.

Speaker 5:

We're done. Good job, Bacha For 11 damage. I love Bacha.

Speaker 1:

Bacha, bacha, you're a real boy.

Speaker 3:

And then I wait patiently for the bigger snake to die of poison.

Speaker 2:

Ha ha ha. Please, I got you. We're gonna be waiting for a while, all day. Hey, it is Sonia's turn. I think Sonia is going to continue looking for her sister. Yeah, poor baby. Yeah, she's gonna move onto this rooftop and try to get a vantage. So she moves and tries to find her sister, which she knew was being held by the second cultist Come on. Sonia.

Speaker 4:

Not seeing anything in her panic.

Speaker 2:

All right, let her do. Auntie, you're up, mm-hmm what do you do?

Speaker 3:

Here we go, wrap it up, end it.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, so I'm gonna finish him. I'm gonna finish this guy, or try to. Let's see. Yeah, that smells bad. I'm gonna stab this guy.

Speaker 4:

This man, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

You notice it's like breaking all of the pots in the sort of kitchenware in the shop and just like as its tongue lashes out. You see this poor woman like hiding behind a stack of like steel pans, as this thing like breaks, like these, like little clay glasses and pots.

Speaker 6:

Are you making mess for Gauri Mommy? No, no, no, no. So I do an attack, that's an at 20. Woo, get it Take care of that business. Okay, yeah, roll double damage, diane. Okay, so double damage. Let's see I rolled 10 damage, so two deep six plus three is 10. And then do I add two to that? Still yes 12,.

Speaker 2:

Amazing. A grievous blow to the creature, but it's still alive. Boo, are you still raging? But you have another attack.

Speaker 6:

Yes, I'm still raging, so I'm going to attack again. That is a 23 to hit, that's a hit. Oh, you're hit, rolled.

Speaker 4:

Okay.

Speaker 6:

And then damage nine plus two, 11.

Speaker 2:

11 points of damage. This thing looks rough. You are beating the crap out of it with a jupel yeah, Unless we forget. As you are beating it in these like chunks of weird gelatinous, and as they fall to the ground you realize it's not really a chest at all. But something else come flying off of it and as it does and you hit it, you are grappled by it. But you're good for this turn.

Speaker 6:

Okay.

Speaker 4:

Now it's.

Speaker 2:

Babby turn. Come on, babby. Babby is in distress, butcha has rejected his affection. Uncle has turned into a snake and there is a evil entity behind it trying to grab it. It's going to attempt to move, provoking an op attack no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 7:

Baby no, no, no no.

Speaker 6:

Baby no no, no, no, no, no no no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2:

Coming here.

Speaker 7:

Baby go to yes.

Speaker 2:

No, using his off hand because he dropped his main dagger, but that one I don't know if you've noticed is dual wielding.

Speaker 4:

Uh-huh.

Speaker 2:

Using its off hand, it swipes up with a 24 to hit.

Speaker 6:

Oh, To hit. You hit it in the baby. Oh, you hit a baby. Why would you hit a baby? Congratulations Four. You hit a baby. Congratulations.

Speaker 2:

Nine, you got to go to the bout yourself. Idiot, 12 piercing damage. No, no, no, no On Baby.

Speaker 7:

Oh, it's Baby.

Speaker 2:

Here's my question. Okay, mm-hmm.

Speaker 5:

That baby is moving out of my range as well. Yes, yes, uh-huh. Does that mean I get an opportunity? Attack On the baby, on the baby. Yes, you do what? Okay, so I'm going to do a lightning lure, pull it up towards me. Mm-hmm, can I make it non-lethal?

Speaker 4:

Yes, Okay, oh.

Speaker 6:

Mm-hmm, that's cute. Roll to hit. Okay, that's cute. Do you want to eat it? Wait a minute, I can't. I'm inspired, I'm going to use the D8.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it's a glorified one.

Speaker 5:

Wait, can I have the D8?

Speaker 2:

No, you have to do it before the results are declared 15.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, 15. Uh, 15. Oh, no, wait, you have to make the strength check. I have to make a strength check, yeah, 15.

Speaker 2:

I think you can only make a melee attack on an op attack.

Speaker 5:

Uh, no, because I have Warcaster. Oh, Whoa, okay, okay.

Speaker 1:

Whatever that meant.

Speaker 5:

Eight, eight, okay, so I reach out. I see the baby start to move away and I go whoo, whoo and I pull it up into my arms and I'm like shh shh, shh shh, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right, it's all right, it's okay, it's cute, it's okay.

Speaker 2:

Smack baby, roll your damage.

Speaker 4:

Uh, baby non-lethal Baby.

Speaker 6:

Non-lethal Baby non-lethal.

Speaker 5:

How do I do? Non-lethal Baby? Non-lethal Baby non-lethal Baby.

Speaker 4:

Non-lethal Baby, non-lethal Baby, non-lethal Baby.

Speaker 7:

On the floor. We know where he is.

Speaker 4:

The baby decorner.

Speaker 5:

No one's got baby in the corner no. I've got baby, so I've got. I took two.

Speaker 2:

Two damage. Yeah, okay, baby's still up. Baby's still up. Baby looks rough. It's okay, it's all right. Yeah, that was baby's movement. Baby still has its action. You, you keep it, baby's upset. Oh, it's okay.

Speaker 4:

It's okay, oh oh, oh, oh.

Speaker 2:

And as it begins to cry, it creates.

Speaker 3:

It's fine. This happens all the time. It's fine, it's what happens?

Speaker 4:

It's fine, everything's fine.

Speaker 1:

Blowouts happen. You know, Parents love that joke.

Speaker 2:

It's gonna do two things. I bet they do. It's going to try to bite you with one two-fee.

Speaker 4:

A little two-fee.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, they hold it For a 16.

Speaker 5:

Doesn't it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, not really gaining purchase, only having one tooth that tries to bite you and then the two eye stalks behind it are going to go off. Do you remember your numbers?

Speaker 3:

Go off baby. Yes, yeah, go off baby, go off baby, go off baby. I'm one.

Speaker 7:

One, two. He's dead now, so three, four was the other guy? That guy?

Speaker 2:

No, no, no, I was five.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I was five, and now, instead of six, being a miss because he's on the rooftop.

Speaker 2:

Six will be Ash. Okay, roll a D6. Actually, you roll a D6. Thank you, oh Twice.

Speaker 4:

Wait Two. Okay, I mean, that makes sense Six.

Speaker 2:

So yeah, Two and six.

Speaker 4:

Okay, both on the roof Makes sense.

Speaker 2:

I'm gonna have you do this Roll 2D10. What, yeah, to determine which eye stock hits. Okay, okay 2D10. It's gonna be fun. The first one's for you, the white one's for you, the blue one's for it's five and seven. It's gonna tick Five and seven. Okay, you are hit with its innervation ray. As you are trying to hold it, trying to comfort it, the innervation ray kind of comes coursing out of one of these little baby eye stocks on the back of its form. Make a con, save, get it get it, get it, get it.

Speaker 7:

You don't have that inspiration anymore, do you?

Speaker 5:

Uh, no, you're not Not.

Speaker 6:

Let's see, wow, 13. 16.

Speaker 2:

That is not enough. You take thankfully this is only 48 damage. You take 16 necrotic damage. Wow, okay, as its eye stock bores through you All right, I'm fine.

Speaker 5:

I'm fine, this is fine.

Speaker 2:

The second one was a seven Make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker 1:

All right, come on Plus nine, baby, let's go. All right, 25.

Speaker 2:

25. Perfect.

Speaker 7:

Very wise.

Speaker 2:

Very wise, you fight the urge to fall asleep as the second ray tries to loan you into a false sense of security. Now Wake up, and that is Bobby's turn. Who the hell's left these two guys? Sitara, you're up.

Speaker 7:

You can't see anything.

Speaker 2:

You see one cultist here and the other one there.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to do a thorn whip, so I'm going to just reach out like a, like a, like a lasso, and reach out and a giant black vine comes out of my arm, out of this old lady's arm, who's been very spry this whole battle, and he reaches out to hit him. Amazing.

Speaker 2:

Roll to hit.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to use this. Look how pretty he is. It's very good it's kind of like a snow globe. Oh oh, seven plus seven, fourteen, fourteen does not Okay. That's okay, because that's just an action, mm-hmm.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, the thorn whip comes out and is pushed aside by this long smoking scimitar that the creature is wielding.

Speaker 7:

And Jotu is going to yes.

Speaker 1:

Roll to hit. Yes, it's a bit fire baby.

Speaker 7:

Oh, yeah, no, no, no, no no.

Speaker 2:

Didn't happen. The hair ball goes wide. Ash, it's your turn, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So Ash is fighting the urge to fall asleep and then he goes I'm back, baby. And I go and jump.

Speaker 7:

I want to go. I had plus seven on that. I didn't see a change. What an attack was plus seven to hit? Oh, so that would make it a seventeen.

Speaker 2:

That would have hit Ash. Okay. Okay, go ahead and roll damage and this is for the flame seed, yeah.

Speaker 7:

That is a four plus seven Seven Okay.

Speaker 6:

It's a very hot spit yeah.

Speaker 2:

Hot, hot, hot spit. Jotu's spitball hits against this creature's armor and does manage to do a small amount of damage, but the armor takes the brunt of it, Ash you are up, I want to run and I want to jump on top of this guy.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and stabbing down with my haladi.

Speaker 2:

All right, roll to hit Okay.

Speaker 1:

And I'm hoping that the force of the jump will also help. Now I have three attacks with my, my, my, my bar's haladi. Yes, my bar gave me this. She's very sweet oh. She was using it to cut some corn for makanai cherdou. But she said take this on your adventure, you might be useful. Here we go. He was right. Yeah 25 to hit. That's a hit Attack number one. Eight damage, all right. 17 to hit. That's a hit Six damage, six damage.

Speaker 2:

Okay, how?

Speaker 1:

is he?

Speaker 2:

looking. Um, he looks pretty good. So he looks pretty good, pretty healthy. Don't love how he looks, but somewhat damaged he's getting a little winded, a little winded. Exciting, exciting, glad I'm exhausting him with stabs to his face. You said six damage on that last one right. Yes, all right, a natural 20. So 27. All right, roll, double your damage die 10 damage for this one.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yes, wow, you have dealt a grievous blow to this creature. Your haladi strikes out, finding all of the weaknesses in its armor and you see it begin to like have labored breathing. What would you like to use your bonus action on?

Speaker 1:

So can I use my bonus action to disarm him? Is that something I can do with my tail, with his l Um, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Go ahead and give me an athletics check if you want to try to get its second weapon out of its hand.

Speaker 1:

Not acrobatics, huh, no, okay, bummer, come on, punch, get him 18.

Speaker 2:

Ah, Um, pretty good, I have a 19. Oh, okay, first one. Yeah, 15 on the die plus four, very strong. So as you try to wrestle its second dagger out of its hand, you are unable to do so. Okay, and it is its turn. I'm on top of this guy Still wrestling with you. It casts your intelligence is not four or higher Animal friendship on you. Oh no, oh no. You are now his friend.

Speaker 3:

This entire adventure. I've really been lured in by the worst of the worst.

Speaker 7:

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2:

Okay, yes, yes, master, you are now his friend. Yes, yes, no, he sees you trying to bite him. He thinks it's cute and he's like, oh, oh, you want to. You want to hit him Sometimes. You're my friend now. You're my friend. Now You're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend, you're my friend. The second one is going to channel its divinity, which is a deity you don't like. Oh no, another negative energy flood floods out. You hear SIL-SIL-A cry out once more, and somewhere you see the fates begin to twist as the entire market is rocked with this negative energy flood. The mimic is going to attack you. I forgot to attack with it on the last turn. Yeah, I'm first.

Speaker 2:

It's going to attempt to bite you.

Speaker 1:

You are grappled, it's like eating blood juice the whole time.

Speaker 3:

With the other hand, yeah 21. Does that hit yeah 10 piercing?

Speaker 2:

damage 10 piercing damage 10 piercing damage 10 piercing damage and an additional one, acid damage. All right, all right, as it bites you for a glancing blow, then we are at the top of the round. Nuri, you know that the situation is getting dire.

Speaker 5:

Can I do some sort of acrobatics check?

Speaker 2:

Um, because where are you? You're there and you're holding the baby. Normally I would say you could, but I think, as you're holding the baby like you can't do, like a forward flip or a vault, like you normally would, because this baby is big.

Speaker 4:

And you're cradling it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you've got like a huge beholder baby that you're wrangling.

Speaker 5:

So using acrobatics would be very hard.

Speaker 2:

You don't need a baby what is wrong with you.

Speaker 6:

Just let go of the baby.

Speaker 5:

All right, I toss the baby onto the little bounce Bouncing.

Speaker 6:

Bouncing, bouncing onto the little cradle.

Speaker 2:

Okay.

Speaker 5:

Okay, bouncing. Yeah, baby's first bounce, it's a bolder baby.

Speaker 2:

You're going to toss the baby? Yes, okay, not with the bathwater. Yeah, out with the bathwater, yeah, yeah I guess give me like a ranged attack roll just to see what your aim is like on this Sure.

Speaker 5:

What would that be?

Speaker 2:

It'll be your decks plus your proficiency bonus. Yeah, I guess, if you're proficient in throwing babies, I'm going to say yes.

Speaker 5:

So that's 23. So I do, yeah, I got a soft toss and it lands and like bounces onto the little awning.

Speaker 2:

The round blobby little baby just lands softly in this and gives out a little coup as it bounces in the air a little bit and lands on the top of this canopy.

Speaker 5:

And then I vault over onto there, onto the other roof. Okay, do an athletic or an acrobatics, check. Acrobatics check, get it Moody, that is a 16.

Speaker 2:

16 will make it. You're able to get onto the roof on the other side, kind of vaulting over Moorca and Ash as you do so, using them almost like little stepping stones. So it says boom, boom and.

Speaker 5:

I move. Oh yeah, you're saying 10 feet away from that guy, which guy? That guy, so I'm about 10 feet away and whip on coils and strikes out Perfect Roll to head, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it Get it Get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it, get it. Get it, get it, get it. All right, get it yes.

Speaker 2:

It looks like a hole. That's not, and it deflects the second one as well, emboldened by its patron growing power.

Speaker 5:

All right. Well, the flame blade comes out again and I flash at him. Can you, Because I have the two weapons fighting Okay? Yeah. That will be. That's your off hand attack, yeah, yeah, 23. That's a hit. That is a hit.

Speaker 2:

Eight nine fire damage your fiery blade, as it's like trying to deflect the whip with one hand. Your off hand is able to make contact, dealing a blow to its shoulder, finding a spot right between where the shoulder plate ends a little soft spot in the armor.

Speaker 5:

And actually, first of all, I'd like to say I strike with the whip, strike with the whip, nothing it glances off. I slash out with flame blade, narrowing my eyes and the sorma under my eyes smolders, giving it that little extra something. Okay, I cut into him and also, that's also what did I say? What did I say? I hit for Nine. Nine, that's actually a 12. A 12.

Speaker 7:

Sweet Okay.

Speaker 6:

Okay, all right, all right.

Speaker 2:

Is that your turn? That's my turn. At the end of your turn, the band plays again, trying to embolden all of you, granting that bardic inspiration to, let's see, ash, you're a snake, so you don't get one. So granting Also no friend, you do us any more so. Granting it to Ash Nuri and who else is close? Sonia is so good.

Speaker 1:

I think Sonia, yeah, yeah, sonia, do you get like, so do I get a second one, or is that as a work? Sorry?

Speaker 2:

Did you not use the first one? I didn't use the first one. I think you only get one, okay.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, did you give it to the snake?

Speaker 7:

You give it to me.

Speaker 6:

Hey.

Speaker 7:

I'm far away. Give it to me.

Speaker 6:

Yeah, the snake is, inspired.

Speaker 4:

But he's not a beast.

Speaker 2:

No, no, he has it now, but he's not a friend anymore. Snake, you're up and you have inspiration.

Speaker 3:

I am inspired to help my friend out, yeah, so I turn over to Ash and I give you a bite.

Speaker 4:

Roll to him.

Speaker 3:

That is very uncool.

Speaker 1:

We had a good thing 17. My AC is 17. Me say beacons, but I'm gonna use my inspiration from my AC oh. Well, wait so it's one piercing damage or something. Yeah, or am I gonna get poisoned?

Speaker 3:

You could.

Speaker 6:

Shut up. Talk to your toxic energy Shubbaz, we can't post becoming a snake. Yeah, I gotta eat soon Good.

Speaker 2:

All right, yeah, you try to bite, get your way. Your teeth are not able to penetrate. That's right, ash's armor. Yeah, baby.

Speaker 6:

Trade mail with armor.

Speaker 3:

What so we still have this occultist right in front of us right, yes. What armor is that occultist wearing Quoth? Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 2:

It is armed with natural armor.

Speaker 3:

Great, well, good for you. Butcha is going to cast Shocking Grass On who? On the occultist right in front of us.

Speaker 2:

All right roll to hit.

Speaker 3:

Okay, here we go. Come on sun, that's gonna be a dirty 20.

Speaker 6:

That's a hill, yes, All right, here we go.

Speaker 3:

The tide is turning Go sun. That's gonna be three. That's gonna be oh sorry, that's the wrong guy. That's going to be a six Plus a five. That's 11.

Speaker 2:

11 points of damage.

Speaker 3:

And I've not mistaken, they can't take a reaction until the start of the next turn.

Speaker 2:

Ah well, that will be for the best, because that occultist dies oh.

Speaker 7:

Well done, butcha, butcha killed.

Speaker 3:

Do I turn back from a?

Speaker 2:

snake. Then you do. The concentration breaks because I believe polymorph is a concentration. Yeah, the concentration breaks and you turn back into a human, as Butcha, shocking, grasps and says papa, papa, you took papa Defense protocol initiate. And the electricity comes flooding out. The occultist falls to the floor dead and you resume your humanoid form.

Speaker 3:

Good job, Butcha, just like we practiced.

Speaker 5:

You're saying that old children should be built.

Speaker 2:

with that, if I turn, into a snake, you kill someone, as we say that Butcha just turns to and says pinwheel, pinwheel, pinwheel, pinwheel, pinwheel, pinwheel.

Speaker 5:

You're letting me in.

Speaker 4:

yeah, where I reach out, reach into my pack and I hold out a pinwheel and I wave at it.

Speaker 5:

Do you have one?

Speaker 2:

You have one, I have one in this market.

Speaker 5:

I have so many things because I just have a bag of holding.

Speaker 2:

That's true, you actually, might you actually?

Speaker 4:

might.

Speaker 2:

On her turn. Sonia, upset and frustrated that she cannot find her sibling, is going to strike down with her standard on to this second cultist, also with the bardic inspiration. Yeah.

Speaker 7:

Get it, sonia get it Come on.

Speaker 2:

That's a 26 to hit. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

That'll hit, I assume. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

And she does 8 plus 6, 14 points of damage driving it through with this sort of skewer, with this battle standard, puncturing it and kind of trying to hold it down. Let's do onto your up.

Speaker 6:

Ok, so I'm being grappled right. Yes, ok, you can still attack. Yes, I'm absolutely going to attack. It has become personal now. You've affected this woman's livelihood, you've affected her shop and while her sweets maybe don't smell, you know, quite as good as mine, you know nonetheless it is still wrong. So I take my. I'm still going to just use my freaking hand axe and try to plunge it into this thing.

Speaker 2:

Yes, Now what is my.

Speaker 6:

What like do I have to account for, since I'm being grappled?

Speaker 2:

Your speed becomes zero. I think that's it. I think you can just, you're just. The both of you are just like engaged with each other, so you can just roll as normal, OK.

Speaker 6:

This is how I normally hug. You're just going to try to bear hug it to that. Yeah, ok, let's see. You know it's really anticlimactic when it kind of freezes like this. Oh no it's fun, ok, cool, so that's a 13 to hit that hit Awesome, so that's four plus two, six, six damage.

Speaker 2:

I think you have one more hit, I do.

Speaker 7:

Get it, auntie, get it, get it, it's in its death throes.

Speaker 2:

The tongue is a-lawing. It's trying desperately to like wrap its long velvety tongue around your neck.

Speaker 6:

There's nothing more repulsive to Ladoo Auntie than a man coming at her with his tongue.

Speaker 4:

Oh, that's fair.

Speaker 5:

That's fair she could be hit, she could out Auntie. Yeah, yes.

Speaker 6:

A 19 to hit, that's a hit, and then for damage, five plus you seven, it dies. Don't ever try to kiss me yeah.

Speaker 2:

Because I think that had a plus two to it as well. So, yes, the mimic, as you says, don't ever try to do this. And you hit it again. The mimic's tongue is like completely obliterated with your shuffle, with your sandal. And it falls to the ground dead, turning into this gelatinous pile of its, the sum of its parts really, as its many eyes, clothes and the tongue just kind of walls off like dead frothing at the mouth.

Speaker 6:

I go, take a broom and immediately don't worry and I immediately start putting it into a dustpan.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, I think that's a really good use of your bonus action. Yeah, personally, I support that. I think that's the best use of your bonus action. It is now Babby's turn. Babby is up on the tent. Babby is going to roll down the tent and probably honestly try to hide behind it. Yeah, yeah, he's very tired of all of this. He's going to tuck her down. He's going to try to hide from these horrible cultists that want to kill him. Oh, that's an 18. So, yeah, he just kind of rolls into like a little ball. As he sleeps and snores, the ice tucks wear out once again. Oh, what do you think is the only person that can get hit by it? It'll hit you on. Do you want odds? Or even it's an odd, so you are spared? Wait, babies love me.

Speaker 6:

Even the second one does hit you. Okay, sometimes they love that.

Speaker 5:

He's going honk shriek that one doesn't.

Speaker 2:

That one hits. Make a dexterity, save 14. You are slowed by this rain. As you say, babies, love me, you realize your speed is slowed. It's almost like the air is made out of gelatin. Your sweeping becomes slow.

Speaker 4:

Oh no.

Speaker 1:

The worst horseradish.

Speaker 2:

Sitara, you're up. Can I do a?

Speaker 7:

quick scan to see if I see the child. I don't know.

Speaker 2:

Yes, go ahead and give me a perception check.

Speaker 7:

Don't get this nice today. Sorry, I didn't mean to say that to you. Okay, better Perception 21.

Speaker 2:

You see a small child gagged and bound in this calling booth here, like in this small, like sort of fortune telling booth there that looks like a Doctor who call box.

Speaker 7:

I'm going to run and jump down right up near him as far as I can. While I'm doing that, I'm going to yell to Sonia and tell her your sister's in there, go, get her go. So I want to engage him. So we can't do anything and I'm just going to attack him. Go ahead and roll to hit. And I have two handed, so I can destroy him. Does that mean you can do a duck?

Speaker 2:

No, Just one attack.

Speaker 7:

That's not a roll. We don't like that.

Speaker 2:

No, don't worry about that, it's a good roll.

Speaker 7:

it's too bad, I'll take that roll.

Speaker 3:

This is better.

Speaker 7:

It's not better at all in any way shape or form. So okay, I didn't hit.

Speaker 2:

As your attack misses, another negative energy pulse comes spilling out of this character, out of this Naga as it does. You feel unbearable pain, Nuri, as your patron's life force is drained and yours is tied to hers. Thusly, you feel drained. You all see the light go from Nuri's eyes.

Speaker 5:

My hair slowly comes out.

Speaker 2:

No, as it flickers out. Thus too, you see this last remaining Naga. Look up to the sky, hands out, and you see his spirit come out of his head as he too falls dead with something else siphoning its power. Further up the mountain, With a supersonic thrum, the shield that was preventing entrance into the lake area goes bursting forward. The roofs of the marketplace are splintered, Everything is thrown from its shelves. You feel a thunderous rumbling in the very ground beneath you, as it seems that the very rock you are standing on the mountain itself groans. This time you do not hear Silsalon's voice, and instead you hear an ominous laugh. Thank you for watching episode six of this Equest.

Speaker 6:

Everything has a place.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes, something forgets what that place is for that minute-day trespass.

Speaker 2:

I cannot bear to see him take from anyone else. Then he won't. I will put him in his place.

Speaker 7:

We already lamented the death of one person at this table and they're right there, so I think we're doing pretty well. And what do you call judgment? I call being impressed.

Speaker 6:

And what do you call judgment?

Speaker 1:

I call speaking and then I turn to look at you.

Speaker 4:

No.

Speaker 1:

And I fire an arrow.

Speaker 3:

No, namir, you cannot revoke me, you knew the whole time you lied to her.

Speaker 7:

You are nothing but a thief. If I've ever needed you, now is the time. I'm looking slightly ragged, but you know I'm about to die.

Speaker 6:

You seem good and I'm spiraling in fire.

Speaker 2:

This is it, everybody. This is the fight. Now I feel rage, and now I want vengeance, and now I want revenge, and now I want revenge.

Speaker 1:

And now I want revenge, and now I want revenge.

Speaker 6:

And now I want revenge.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to fight.
