SPEAKER_00Hey everybody, I'm Robin B, your favorite tea lady.
SPEAKER_01And welcome to How You Living. Today we're just going to talk all about opportunities for you to make additional income.
SPEAKER_00Absolutely. Yeah. Um, you know, with the high prices, everything. I don't know if you know this, but it's some of the things at the grocery store, gas, everything's doubled and tripled. Hey, you you can buy five items and it'll be $80. Easily. I'm always shocked if my bill is under a hundred bucks, no matter what. So I I thought it would be good for us to roll out some ideas on how you can either do a side hustle. Yes. Perhaps you got a full-time job, but you need some more disposable income. Or maybe you don't like what you're doing. So these side hustles I have known for a full-time career.
SPEAKER_01Had you ever heard that statement that you're supposed to have seven incomes, or what is it, seven income? More than one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I know that. And I couldn't agree more. You have one source of income, and that income happens to be your day job, that means you're at that their mercy. Exactly. So if you notice, one of the other upsides is more and more millionaires are being created every day. And those were the origins are from side hustles.
SPEAKER_01Exactly.
SPEAKER_00So if you're really good at your side hustle, you could turn that into a brand new life.
SPEAKER_01So let me ask you: so when you consider a side hustle, what do you think is the most important thing to consider?
SPEAKER_00Well, it depends on what your passion is.
SPEAKER_01Passion. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00So here's a good example. My side hustle, I was still working full-time, and my side hustle became my tea company because I'm passionate about natural healing, you know, alternative medicine, that sort of thing. Right. And so that became an opportunity to to make make it grow. So if you're passionate about it, absolutely the sky's the limit.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. So passion is going to because you can you can always pick something that everyone else is doing. Right. But if your heart isn't in it, absolutely.
SPEAKER_00Now some people like to serve. Now I know quite a few women in the administrative world, and so their side hustle actually is in keeping with what they're doing on their day job, and that's called virtual assistant.
SPEAKER_01Virtual assistant. So what is a virtual assistant?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they're, I mean, that's kind of a wide open, but here's some of there's a list. It says providing administrative support to busy professionals. So it could be an individual, it could be another, like a small business.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00Um, and you're handling tasks like handling their email, uh, maybe managing their social media, excuse me, and also doing a lot of data entry for them.
SPEAKER_01Uh how do you do you know how someone enters into that field?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, there are several ways. Um, one ver one of the most popular virtual assistant platforms is Fiverr and Upwork. Okay, yeah, I've I've definitely heard of those. Yeah, you sign up with them and then you really promote yourself and you can, you know, you can put whatever you want in your bio, really.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because I know some chiropractors offices that use virtual assistants and they help to manage the the scheduling or if there's any anything that's going on, they can contact the chiro and say, hey, I got this all planned for you. So that's that's really big.
SPEAKER_00It really I've used them. I've used Fiverr and Upwork for virtual assistants, and they are some of them, if you look at the background and you get some really good high skill, very highly skilled, and they can do a lot of your work for you, a lot of administration.
SPEAKER_01So that's one but you know what's interesting with that too. If you are an administrative assistant in a corporation already, that's already your thing. So it's like you can like, okay, I do this during the day, but I can still do this at night. That's exactly right.
SPEAKER_00That's exactly right. So you're not having to learn a new skill, you're basically freelancing yourself. Exactly. And there's no money in that.
SPEAKER_01I mean, you there's a few there's money to be made. There's no investment money. There's money to be made, but not money for education to make it happen.
SPEAKER_00Okay, don't I'm having a cooper, uh, Anderson Cooper moment, sorry. But yes, there is money to be made, but very little overhead that you have to wear. Exactly. That's another. And then another one is social media management, and really they can go hand in hand. You I've hired people who are virtual assistants, right, but just to do social media. And that it could be very lucrative. People social media agencies pay a lot of money. They do, they charge a lot.
SPEAKER_01And and so, with that, I guess what you are telling them when they need to post for you.
SPEAKER_00Yes, you are, and most of them have um, if you're into that world, you already know about all the apps, all the different programs where you're scheduling it is a very structured process. And so that's why it's so valuable.
SPEAKER_01And once again, you can go on to Fiverr and Upwork to do it also.
SPEAKER_00If you go to Fiverr, which is five with two R's at the end, and you just put in whatever service you want. Or, you know, if you want to look and see how they do it, just that's all you got to do.
SPEAKER_01Now we don't know if Fiverr charges for them to be on that platform. They don't.
SPEAKER_00I think the way they other it works is they take a portion of what you charge. Oh, okay. So let's say we pay them $25, Fiverr might take $7.50. Okay. So that's how it works, I believe. Okay. It's sort of a commission. Um, another one that I really am a big fan of is drop shipping. And what drop drop shipping means, it's an e-commerce business without the need for purchasing inventory up front, and um, you don't have to worry about dealing with uh, you know, um local suppliers. You that's something you can get from anywhere in the world. And what I would recommend, if you're gonna do drop shipping, do big ticket drop shipping.
SPEAKER_01But uh flesh that out for me a little bit more. So when you say they're doing drop shipping, so if I have a product, I am doing what?
SPEAKER_00Here's a good example. Okay, so let's say it's a desk. I would say big if you're gonna do drop shipping, try to go get as much as you can. Okay. So for instance, it's a desk business, and so you are you have to have an e-commerce, you have to have a website. Okay. Because a lot of people don't even know you're doing drop shipping. They're assuming they're purchasing it from you directly.
SPEAKER_01Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so the person will go to your website, they'll find the product that you're you can list a million products. Okay. Whatever it wants, as long as you have an agreement with the wholesaler, you literally have a setup where you're shipping that product from the wholesaler directly to the consumer.
SPEAKER_01So you're you're kind of an Amazon?
SPEAKER_00You're sort of like the Amazon. And the thing is, you the consumer pays you first. So they pay for the product. You already have an agreement, maybe five to seven-day delivery. You have that agreement with the supplier. So all you're doing is promoting something, basically. But that is one way to start a really great business and be very lucrative without having overhead.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. And then you have to hire the social media person so they can market you, so then they can go to the site.
SPEAKER_00That's exactly how it works.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna start drop shipping.
SPEAKER_00I'm telling you, there is it's kind of a no-brainer. There are millionaires who just created a drop. There look at um on YouTube, there's something called dropship lifestyle. Look at that guy, he is a multimillionaire, and that's how he does it. I'm gonna start tomorrow. Yeah, let's do why don't we do it together? I know, we're gonna drop ship. Anyway, so that's one of the, and then here's one of my favorites. If you have a website already, and even if you have a Facebook page, affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a wonderful way. Basically, if you have a nice following, let's say you have a good, and you do Dr. King, you're crazy if you're not doing it, but you have this agreement, for instance, Target and Gaia, and all of the wellness things that you know. Okay, they if you go to the bottom of almost every single website, it's gonna say affiliate. And all that, I've seen that. Is you are gonna start carrying a link to their products on your website or on your Facebook page or wherever you have a heavy following.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00Every time someone clicks on that link and purchases from your website, there is, I think it's an API key or something like that. You're gonna get a commission. Again, big ticket. That's why I highly recommend a big ticket uh affiliate.
SPEAKER_01I'm contacting BMW. There you go. Now you're talking.

SPEAKER_00So for me it'd be jeep for you as BMW.
SPEAKER_01Thank you.
SPEAKER_00Um, so these are opportunities to make money without even thinking twice about you, don't have to have an overhead. You don't have to have investment anything. Right. So sometimes you just gotta think about I think outside the box. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Wow, those are good. I think I'm gonna I'm gonna do the drop shipping. What? As I'm talking about, I'm like, why?
SPEAKER_00And then of course, if you have a specialty, if you have something that you're really passionate and really good at, you can create an ebook. Ebooks are almost they're so easy right now. And with the advent of AI, I mean a lot of the lay work's done for you.
SPEAKER_01Well, it was one uh person on YouTube, I can't remember her name, she was saying that you at one point you could go to Amazon and you can create an ebook, but now they're trying to see if if it's AI, you have to mention that AI was the one that created the book.
SPEAKER_00You know why I'm glad. I am too because the people are why would you why should you pay for something that they didn't even do? I mean, really. That's my part. So but the other speaking of Amazon, I'm glad you mentioned that. There are no less than 14 different ways you can make money with Amazon. So go scroll to the bottom. When you go to Amazon spending all your money, scroll to the bottom and look at all the different opportunities they have. And um, publishing books, you can publish other people's books, you can sell other people's books. I think it's called KPR. But there are a million different ways to make money on Amazon.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, because you can even create a journal on Amazon.
SPEAKER_00Oh my goodness. And there you go. And that's the other thing is Etsy is I didn't mention it, but whatever you're selling on e-commerce, take it to all the different platforms. And Etsy is a very lucrative. There are, again, millionaires. Yeah, because I buy on Etsy. Yeah, Etsy, see, she knows. She's giving them all her money. Exactly. Now I gotta get theirs. Absolutely. So I'm a big fan. I sell my tea on Etsy. So I am a big fan of um making that money. Get that bag anyway you can, folks.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, exactly. And like you were saying with Fiverr, there's a lot of opportunities. Also, if you are uh good at writing or good at at at illustrator, if you can, you know, because I was looking at Fiverr saying, okay, I need someone who could possibly draw body parts for me, you know? And so if you have that skill set, which I always wanted to be an uh artist.
SPEAKER_00Did you? Well, you still it's never too late. I know I can't even make yourself that.
SPEAKER_01That was my dream.
SPEAKER_00That's something too. I always wanted to be a singer. How about that?
SPEAKER_01How about that? So a girl can drink.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, so those were just a few, you know. That's a good start. And what I should have done initially, we will go forward, is uh recommend you all have pen and paper.
SPEAKER_01Because, you know, but hey, hey, on YouTube, on YouTube, you could just look it over, stop, rewind, go back. Rewind, pause, write down. I do that.
SPEAKER_00I do it too. So, you know, hopefully this is enough to give our audience some ideas on how they can start being their own boss eventually.
SPEAKER_01And that's what we have to do. And you know, and this is always starting anew with with what you're doing in life. That's what you're doing. You know, have goals.
SPEAKER_00That's right. And actually, everything we just talked about, you don't pick one, pick them all. They're all opportunities for you to have, like you said, seven streams of income.
SPEAKER_01Or even better, if you have a kid, have them pull one.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's really good.
SPEAKER_01And they can really start to learn really early on how to be their own boss.
SPEAKER_00And you can pay them, and that is a major write-off. That is a mess. So hire your kids. That is another. If you're in business, you need to be hiring the children.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that's what Beyoncé did. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_00So little Lil' Blue, now she's got millions and millions, and and uh her mama's writing her off. She's writing her wrong, you know, personal and business.
SPEAKER_01Exactly, exactly. Well, those are some really great ideas.

SPEAKER_01You know, yeah, because if you start there, yeah, you can really do well.
