Intro:

Welcome to the Global Revival Blast Podcast, where you get inspired experience, god's power, his manifest presence and transformation with the teachings of Wilfred I Bomobe. Now, here's your host, wilfred I Bomobe.

Wilfred:

Welcome once again. I want us to look into very important scriptures and also to explore together what I want to share with us today. Turn your Bible with me to Psalm 85, verse 5 to 7. Psalm 85, verse 5 to 7. Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger to all generations? Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your steadfast love, o Lord, and grant us your salvation. It's amazing to see this scripture, that the scripture is talking about revival, that we go be angry with them forever. Will you not revive us again?

Wilfred:

I want to read another place again in the Bible Hosea 6, from verse 1 to 3. Hosea 6, verse 1 to 3. Come, let us return to the Lord, for he has torn us, that he may heal us. He has struck us down and he will bind us up. After two days he will revive us On the third day. He will raise us up that we may live before him. Let us know, let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. He is going out, he shall as the dawn, he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth. I love this beautiful Hosea, verse 6, we've read. It says come, let us return to the. He said come, let us return to the Lord. Come, let us return to the Lord. So, based on what I'm talking today, I'm speaking on what I call keys to experience personal revival, the keys to experience personal revival. He said come, let us return to the Lord when we talk about personal revival. So, come, let us return to the Lord when we talk about personal revival. There are keys to this personal revival. I want to talk about those keys today.

Wilfred:

Noise is not a sign of revival. Noise, good music, music concerts, are not signs of true revival either. Living very large in the body of Christ and showing off your affluence and wealth is not a sign of true revival. True revival goes beyond you showing off your spiritual gift. Please, I would like to share with us a message that is burning within my heart for a while now, which is keys to experience personal revival. It is a great thing for us to look unto God to have revival in our lives. So we're going to see it now. It is very important. It is very important for us to think, assimilate, as we go into this Simon, this message together, as we look into the scripture. We explore the scripture together. I would like us to see what the Lord is saying concerning revival.

Wilfred:

It is great and highly important to experience corporate revivaliver, national reviver. But for that to happen, there must be personal reviver first. I know people talk about corporate reviver, church revived, community reviver. But corporate reviver, for it to happen, but corporate revival, for it to happen, there must be a personal revival. Corporate revival, either it happens within the church, communities, business world, societies and nation at large become impossible without first experience personal revival in the life of an individual. It is personal revival that translated, transformed or transferred into corporate revival. That is why personal encounter with the Holy Spirit and the presence of God in our life is vital and paramount to see corporate revival happened. But before personal revival can happen in our lives, in our community or in the church or in the nation, there must be personal revival. So that is why I'm talking about personal revival today. Personal revival keys to experience personal revival, keys to experience personal revival. Personal revival must occur for us to see corporate revival. Personal revival gives birth to other revival we desire and seek.

Wilfred:

However, revival we seek is not hidden but visible to all and affects every aspect of human lives. You know, you cannot say there is a revival when it's hidden. Revival cannot be hidden. Revival must be expressed. There must be an effect of revival, there must be an impact of what revival is causing. There must be a wave. You know, when you talk about revival, about revival, revival course, you will see that that the effect of revival, what revival does, the, the impact of revival, the, the, the results of revival. So the revival can never be hidden. It's like a light that can never be hidden. So revival manifests for others to see, as it imparts your life, it also imparts the lives of people around you. So revival we seek is not hidden. It has fed every aspect of human life. Please come along with me as we examine Ephesians 5. We go to see Ephesians 5, verse 14 to 17. Ephesians 5, verse 14 to 17.

Wilfred:

I read wake up from your sleep, climb out of your coffins. Christ will show you the light. So watch your step, use your head, make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times. Chance you get, these are desperate times. Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the master wants. So I finished reading.

Wilfred:

It is very important for us to see what the Bible is saying here. Apostle Paul said wake up from your sleep. I'm reading, I read this from Message Bible Wake up from your sleep, climb out of your coffins. The Bible says wake up from your sleep, or wake up from your spiritual death, climb out of your spiritual coffin. Coffin belongs to the dead. Mind you, coffin does not belong to the living. It is your responsibility to wake up from sleep. Coughing does not belong to the living. It is your responsibility to wake up from sleep. It is your responsibility to get out of your coughing, then Christ will show you the light. It's very important that we have responsibility to get out from our sleep, to wake up from sleep, to leave our coughing, Wake up, because our calling to revival wake up from sleep, to leave our coffin, wake up cause a calling to revival, wake up callings. Are you see, when you are talking about wake up? When the scripture say wake up, it means there is a calling towards revival. Wake up from slumberness, wake up from sleep, wake up from spiritual deadness, wake up from your prayerlessness, wake up from not studying the Bible, not reading the Bible. Wake up to the light of the scripture, wake up, wake up.

Wilfred:

It disturbed me so much and I wait for this generation, especially the churches who are full of fun, parties, social activities, spiritual activities, going worldly, but dead churches. It's painful that a church is void of power, void of the Holy Spirit, but full of party, full of things to try to entice the world, but the church is void of power, void of the manifest presence of God. Let's look at it as an example. If a pastor is dead spiritually, he will have a dead church. If such a pastor wants to see a reviver, he must first experience personal revival before he can help his people in the congregation. He cannot help the people to be revived when he himself is not revived. He can only give birth to kind of his spiritual state.

Wilfred:

So a person who is drunk with prosperity, for example a person who is drunk with prosperity, gospel, will grow. People who are seeking prosperity, and if they are not careful in their desires, they will be greedy, covetous. They will pursue prosperity at all costs, not even minding sinning against God and humanity. So people who are desperate to make it, desperate to be prosperous, they will don't mind to sin against God. They will try to undermine the principles of the Bible and attack people. As long as they want, they get what they need, they want in their lives.

Wilfred:

But a pastor who is revived, a revivalist pastor. We pastor a church that is full of people filled with the Holy Spirit and the power of God, people who are hungry to know more of God, people who are hungry to seek more of God, people who are hungry to seek more of God's face, people who are hungry to get more from the Lord spiritually. They will not be seeking for material stuff, but things of God. A revivalist pastor will raise a revivalist congregation, a church full of revival. Such a pastor will raise congregation who seek for the fire and the passion of the Holy Spirit, for the kingdom expansion. When a pastor is revived, you will see it in the congregation. Another pastor who is without the power of God will leave the church. Void of power.

Wilfred:

And what does the Bible say about this kind of pastor? Let us see in the scripture. Let us see in the scripture according to 2nd Timothy, chapter 3, verse 5. According to 2nd Timothy, the Bible says they will act religiously. They will act religiously but they will reject the power that could make them godly. The Bible says stay away from people like that. It's very important for us to see that there are people. There are pastors, churches or people who are so religious but they deny the power of God, they deny the power of the Holy Spirit. The Bible says they have form of godliness, they act religious, they act godly, but they denied the power thereof, the power that could make them godly. The Bible says from such people we should stay away.

Wilfred:

It's very important for us to seek after revival, seek after personal revival. We all need spiritual revival. The church needs spiritual revival as well. It's very important for us to seek spiritual revival because it is when you are revived things turn around for you. It is very important for us to seek revival Revival of the spirit, revival of our soul, revival of our body, reviver around us. It is very important for us to seek revival. God expects us to have spirit of the Holy Ghost take over us, and so when we minister as ministers of God, us as a believer, we will live according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, not according to our own flesh. It will not be according to our own flesh. We live according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Wilfred:

So at this moment, I want us to see some scriptures. It's very important for us to see some scripture as I move on Psalm 80, verse 17 and 18. Psalm 80, verse 17 and 18. Psalm 80, verse 17 and 18. Straighten the man you love, the son of your choice, then we will never abandon you again. Then we will never abandon you again. Revive us so that we can call on your name once more. I like it. It says revive us now, we will call on your name once more. And before he says revive us, there's something he says that is very important. He says then we will never abandon you again. We will never abandon you again. We call on your name as once more, as you revivals. This leads me to go into the keys. Let us see the keys to experience personal revival. Let's see the key, one after the other, to experience personal revival. The's see the key, one after the other, to experience personal revival.

Wilfred:

The first key I would like to mention, I would like to talk about, is desperate heart fed prayer, desperate heart fed prayer, desperate heart fed prayer In the book of 2nd Chronicles 7. Verse 13 and 14. 2nd Chronicles 7, verses 13 and 14. 2 Chronicles 7, verses 13 and 14. At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops or send plagues among you. Verse 14. Then, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and restore their land. I would like to read more to 15 now, verse 15. My eyes will be opened and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

Wilfred:

You see, you cannot live a life that is revived without prayer. You cannot. The first thing that is very important we have to know is that desperate, heartfelt prayer. It has to be prayer that your heart is involved, your whole being is involved, because to experience personal revival, you must be prayerful. There is no one ever experience revival. There is no one. No one ever experienced revival. There's no one In the scripture, either in our time, in the early church, there is no one that experienced revival or churches that experienced revival without prayer. Prayer must be part of you. Prayer must be part of your lifestyle for you to experience personal revival. You cannot have revival or experience it in your life if you do not like to pray or devote yourself to prayer.

Wilfred:

You remember what the Bible says in Colossians 4, verse 2,. It says devote yourself to prayer with an alert mind and with thankful heart. Very important that you devote. God expects us to devote ourselves to prayer. So if you are going to experience the move of God, the power of God in your life, a revival in your life, you must be ready to be prayerful. The Bible says pray without ceasing. In 1 Samuel 5, verse 17,. It's very important that we should pray without ceasing. That means God expects you to pray always. So if you want to experience revival, let prayer be part of your life.

Wilfred:

The second key that I would like to talk about is humility. In 2 Chronicles 7, verse 14, where we read we saw he talked about if my people, who are called by my name. We humble themselves, so humility comes in there. So for humility, for you to experience revival, you must humble. Humility is one of the keys to revival. Humble yourself and you will see God make sure you catch the fire of revival. God will make sure you catch the fire of the Holy Spirit as you give yourself to God. Humble yourself to God. You will see God work mightily in your life and I see that happening in your life. In the name of Jesus, I see the hand of God take over you as you humble yourself. You see God take over you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Wilfred:

The Bible make us understand something as well concerning humility in 1 Peter 5, verse 6. 1 Peter, 5, verse 6. The Bible says humble yourself, therefore, on that God's mighty hand that he may lift you up in due time. So there's a due time for you. When your due time comes, god is ready to lift you up only if you are humble. So the only time God will lift you up in your due time, the time when God will lift you up, is a time you humble. Learn to humble yourself, then you will see revival in your life. Lifting comes by humility, so is revival. Lifting comes by humility, so is revival.

Wilfred:

The third key turning away from sin. In the same place where we read in second chronicle, chapter 7, verse 14, I would like to read again he Then, if my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways you see that, turn from their wicked ways I will hear from heaven and I will forgive their sins and restore their land, or I will heal their land. So it's very important that, if you want to experience personal revival, turn away from sin. It is so obvious that the scriptures emphasize it that the only way God will heal the land, only way God will restore the land, is for us to forsake our sin and forsake our wicked ways. If only we can forsake our wicked ways, we will see God come down for us. We will see the fire of God upon our lives. The only way we can see the move of God, the Holy Spirit, take over us, it is when we take away sin from our heart. No matter what you call sin, god calls sin sin. So call sin what God calls it. Sin is sin. Turn away from sin, turn away from your wicked ways if you want to experience the move of God, the power of God, a reviver in your life. That leads me to the fourth key.

Wilfred:

The fourth key I would want to talk about to experience personal revival is consistent in feeling of the Holy Spirit. Consistent in feeling of the Holy Spirit. Please go with me to Ephesians 5, verse 17 to 19. Ephesians 5, verse 17 to 19. I read don't ask thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns as spiritual songs among yourselves and making music to the Lord in your hearts. I read that in New Living Translation. It's very, very important that he says do not be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. When he said being filled with the Holy Spirit is continuous tense, that means God expects you to continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It is consistent filling of the Holy Spirit that gives birth to personal revival In any Christian life. You have to know, in our Christian life it is continual filling. It is not one thing, it is continual infilling of the Holy Spirit. Once it's not enough, you need continuous filling of the Holy Spirit. You need it and the Lord will continue to fill us as we seek his face for it in Jesus' mighty name.

Wilfred:

So I would like us to read another Bible verse again that is very important Acts of Apostles, chapter 4,. Acts of Apostles, chapter 4, verse 31. And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness, amazing. Another place I want us to read again is Acts 2, verse 4. And when they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began, and they were all filled, and they were all filled. I would like to read that again. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. And began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. So it's not one thing In the life of the disciple. It wasn't once. They got the feeling of the Holy Spirit and they continued to experience it again and again, and again and again. So it's very important for us to continue in feeling of the Holy Spirit again and again and again. So our doubt leads me now to the fifth key, the fifth key. I have six of them. I'm on the fifth key.

Wilfred:

Another key to experience personal revival is what I call lifestyle of fasting, lifestyle of fasting. It is a necessity that a believer engage in fasting. It is very important for fasting to be part of your life. Fasting has to be your lifestyle if you want to experience true revival. There is no one that ever experienced revival in his or her life without not engage in fasting. Fasting is not an option, but mandatory. Fasting is not an option because if fasting was an option, jesus wouldn't have said when you fast.

Wilfred:

Jesus said when you fast. He didn't say if you fast. Let's read that in the scripture Matthew, chapter 6, verse 16. Matthew, chapter 6, verse 16. I'm going to read verse 16 and 17 for emphasis sake when you fast, do not look sober as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others that they are fasting. Truly, I tell you they have received their reward in full, verse 17. I like that. Jesus was trying to explain to the disciples the best way to fast. But he emphasized and said when you fast, do not look like the hypocrite. You know they show up themselves that they are fasting. Everybody knows that they are fasting just for praise of men. Jesus said but truly, I tell you they have already received the reward in full. But when you, my disciples, when you fast, put oil on your head, wash your face, look, don't let people know that you are fasting head. Wash your face, don't let people know that you are fasting. Now, what I want to say, very important here, is that fasting is mandatory because Jesus said when you fast. Jesus said when you fast, not if you fast. Jesus expects us to fast. You cannot experience true personal revival when you hate fasting and prayer. No fasting, no revival. You have to make fasting part of your lifestyle if you want to see revival in your life. That will lead me to the next one Intentional consecration.

Wilfred:

The sixth key. Sixth intentional consecration. Six the sixth key intentional consecration. Consecrate yourself and prepare for revival.

Wilfred:

Revival is not an act of accident, I'm telling you. It is not an act of accident. It does not just come, it does not just happen in the life of any individual or in a Christian life or in a church. You must prepare for it. You must sincerely dedicate your life yourself to experience personal revival. You cannot experience personal revival when you are not living right.

Wilfred:

Revival does not occur in the life of people who are not prepared, who are not living a holy life. You must live holy if you want to experience true revival. Revival happened to those who are consecrated to God. Be prepared. Desire to die to yourself, desire to die to carnality, desire to die to lust, desire to die to worldly pleasure, if you want to see personal revival, personal revival will not happen to you because you praise God. Personal revival will not just happen if you praise God and you do not live a holy life. You have to live a holy life. You have to live a pure life. You have to live a life that pleases the Lord. That will lead me to the scripture I would like us to see very, very important, because it is very important for us to live a holy life. You need to live a holy life. You cannot say you live anyhow and experience the fire of God in your life. 2 Timothy 2, verse 18 to 21. 2 Timothy 2, verse 18 to 21.

Wilfred:

I read who have deviated from the truth. They claim that the resurrection has already taken place and they undermine the faith of some. Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God which he has laid stands sure and unshaken, despite attack. Bearing this seal, the Lord knows those who are his and let everyone who names the name of the Lord stand apart from wickedness and withdraw from wrongdoing. Verse 20.

Wilfred:

Now, in a large house, there are not only vessels and objects of gold and silver, but also vessels and objects of wood and of earthenware, and some are for honorable number good use and some for dishonorable common use. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things which are dishonorable, disobedient, sinful, he will be vessel for honor, sanctified, set apart for a special purpose and useful to the master. Prepare for every good work. Interesting End of reading.

Wilfred:

It's very interesting for us to see that the Bible makes us understand in a great house, not just vessels of gold, of silver, but there are vessels of wood and earth, of clay, some to honor, some to dishonor. But he make us understand. If a man, therefore, if a man cleanses himself from disobedience, from sinful, from dishonorable thing, no-transcript, you dedicate yourself, you release yourself to God to be used by God. So personal revival is possible, but prepare yourself for it and the Lord will release the fire upon your life. I see the fire fall upon you, whatever. You are hearing the sound of my voice right now. I want you to know, as you follow these principles, these skills, and you practice them, you live the life that God expects you to live, these skills and you practice them, you live the life that God expects you to live. I see the fire of God come upon you. I see the fire of God light upon you. I see the fire of God start kindling within you. I see the fire set in your heart and the fire will continue to burn.

Wilfred:

In conclusion, god is ready to revive us, but then are we ready to pay the price needed for the reviver? Because for revival to take place in our lives, there is responsibility on our part. God will not do everything. We have a part to play. God has his own part to play. Play your part and you see God manifest his power in your life. May the word of the living God bless you and challenge you to act and seek his face for personal revival. May God bless you. Thank you very much for your time. Thank you. I see you next time as we worship together in Jesus name. Amen. God bless you, because for revival to take place in our lives, there is responsibility on you, on our parts. God will not do everything. We have a part to play. God has his own part to play. Play your part and you see God manifest his power in your life. May the word of the living God bless you and challenge you to act and seek his face for personal revival. May God bless you. Thank you very much for your time.
