Speaker 3:

two days when you come from the West Coast. I'm all fucked up. I can imagine Wait a minute. So you guys came back Saturday, yeah.

Speaker 4:

I came back Saturday and helped a buddy out move on Sunday.

Speaker 1:

Oh, you did Look at you laboring.

Speaker 2:

9 o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 3:

You came back home to go labor? Yeah, you're messed up Monday.

Speaker 4:

I'm already done People Monday I'm already done.

Speaker 3:

People still do that Call people to come help them move.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, unfortunately Raymond's. Like people don't call you.

Speaker 3:

Nah, man, my phone gets disconnected. You call me. You're asking me to move. That's a lot, because they're already engaging with you.

Speaker 2:

Hey Raymond, how you doing.

Speaker 4:

And he's like okay, cool.

Speaker 2:

Can you help?

Speaker 4:

me move. That's when you get the crickets going on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah for sure, sure man, I tell you, it's always uh interesting to see who who you can get to come and help you move heavy shit. But, dang bro, saturday, sunday, um, and yeah it's, it's taking me a day or two to get back. A three hour shift, um, definitely uh changes your cycle in terms of sleeping and just being restless midday, but yeah big shout out to getting back home.

Speaker 4:

Got back home 12, 9 hours, 8 hours of sleep and to leave, to go, help move. And then I was knocked out the rest of the day, jesus Christ.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that is true because we came back on Saturday, and then you went to work on Sunday and today's Monday.

Speaker 4:

No, today's Tuesday. Oh, today's Tuesday, look at that.

Speaker 3:

Barbie's still recovering.

Speaker 1:

Still trying to put my time back together, but anyways, we got a really packed show for you all today. This is episode number 41,. As I mentioned, we're going to jump right into talking about our trip to San Francisco. We can dive a little bit into it had a blast, visited a few really cool places and D-House was going to talk to us about tech current events for this week or whatever.

Speaker 1:

we got going on in this crazy world of tech. And then we got Raymond's Nuggets Don't call them Ray. Ray Got some bullets about DoorDash, I think is one of them.

Speaker 3:

People are going to be like hating these nuggets.

Speaker 1:

That's all right, alright, man, as long as you're dropping them, people will definitely be tuning in. Then we got D-Hustle going to close us out With some sports sponsorship and definitely I have an outro With some updates, because we got a new newsletter that got published. Everything else is good. Y'all, y'all ready for it. Let's give them a big round of applause. There we go. Ooh, that's what's up. Well, d Hustle, thank you very much for the intro. My man so big shout outs to San Francisco, san Fran, oh my gosh man, I tell you, enjoy the weather out there. I love it.

Speaker 4:

Park weather. Park weather for me.

Speaker 3:

Was it like 50s, 60s yeah 50s, 60s yeah 60s Okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, especially when we got into the city.

Speaker 4:

That's the thing about.

Speaker 1:

San Francisco it's a micro climate, so if you're down south in the South Bay, it's one temperature, and if you're in the city it's another temperature.

Speaker 4:

Shout out to San Francisco all over again.

Speaker 3:

It's beautiful out there. Did you ever tell DeHussell about my story with San Francisco?

Speaker 1:

No, what happened in San Francisco with you?

Speaker 3:

So I went to San Francisco. I don't know like 15 years ago and stuff like that.

Speaker 4:

The shorts.

Speaker 3:

Yes, I went there in the summer, in July, with shorts, t-shirts and in the summer and I was like what the hell is this? Yeah, yeah. And I went on one of the tours and the guy was like did you not do your research before coming here, sir? Where are you from? I'm like this is July in California, why the hell is it cold? So yeah, note to self that yeah, it was crazy 100%.

Speaker 1:

I think D had that same type of challenge too. Yeah, I did. I felt good though.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I was feeling good.

Speaker 4:

I had shorts with a long sweater going on. I was like, oh, man, oh my gosh.

Speaker 1:

I think everybody from Florida that goes to San Francisco for the first time always run into that same problem I did myself when we took out the On and Off tour. I was sitting on the top and you know, on the top, that's what I did.

Speaker 3:

It doesn't have nothing covered For sure.

Speaker 4:

And I was out there with my shirt on and everything. Bro, I got cold.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, you did. I got cold, I had to put on the jacket.

Speaker 3:

I got to show you the picture of me they gave me a freaking comforter.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, y'all had to be comfort out there. Plus, you probably went over the Golden Gate Bridge. That time too, which is by far one of the colder areas in San.

Speaker 4:

Francisco. I didn't know. I have videos of it. I thought it was going to snow.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's how cold it was. Yeah, that's San Francisco for you, but I tell you, though, we really did enjoy ourselves this time around. So, if you didn't know, the Tech Hustle is on a nationwide tour. One of our stops is San Francisco, and we pulled up.

Speaker 4:

Shout out to San Francisco.

Speaker 1:

For sure we had a blast and big shout outs to our guests that came through for Backstage with Bobby D we recorded a few episodes out there and I tell you, I've really got a chance to chop it up with some of my old teammates, old tweets, people that used to work at Twitter, and definitely I'm excited for us to get this published out there so you can see some of the great things we worked on.

Speaker 4:

And just a heads up go Knicks. She knows who I'm talking about.

Speaker 1:

MGD, he's calling you out. You know how it's warrior nation over there.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, it is.

Speaker 1:

And anything you mention about any other team. They definitely come strong, but here's the thing, maisha I didn't say anything about my Knicks?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I know she just came out with it. They shoot first over there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I see that they don't even wait.

Speaker 2:

Shout out to her man.

Speaker 4:

She knew what was going on. She knew the deal as soon as she saw me.

Speaker 1:

She was like, yeah, he's a Knicks fan, he's just like me. Yeah, for sure. Big shout outs to my isha and definitely all the other guests that we had on the show uh, tunday, ateo, um and mera.

Speaker 4:

Big shout outs to y'all shout out 9200 core, let's go oh man, I can't wait until y'all hear these episodes.

Speaker 1:

Then y'all finally piece some of what d hustle saying all together. So while while he's out in San Francisco, I also had the pleasure of pulling up on LinkedIn at LinkedIn's headquarters.

Speaker 1:

So, big shout outs to LinkedIn. Definitely round of applause for them. So I was doing some work for one of our partners, codepath, and if you're not familiar with CodePath, check them out. Codepathorg, if you are a student, cs student org uh, if you are a student, cs student, underrepresented computer science um, it's the one of the best programs in terms of supplemental education that you're going to need to level up in this game. Definitely highlight code path. Um, and big shout out to y'all over there. But yeah, linkedin was a a really cool campus man yeah, tell me about the campus and all of that.

Speaker 1:

So so I tell you, uh, one thing that really surprised me is how open it was and it's actually like a campus, because there's multiple buildings and they kind of, you know, have their own campus in terms of a walk, they have bikes, they have cafeterias. They even had a nice basketball court out there.

Speaker 1:

I see one guy trying to move I was like I need to bring some ballers out here so I can see what's going on show them something you know I'm retired my but yeah, man, it was actually a really really cool campus, um, and definitely I felt like I was back in silicon valley, you know tech scene type stuff. Um, I will say that, uh, the organization itself definitely has the right space for you to actually be really creative. Which is the real cool thing is because even the workspaces were all open workspace right. There was really no offices, no real main meeting rooms other than glass to meet meeting rooms, so everything was just basically just just had you see it on TV, you know, working in Silicon Valley or working in the Bay. Linkedin definitely did their thing, so big shout-outs to them.

Speaker 3:

Okay, and what did you go do over there?

Speaker 1:

So yeah, so what I did in terms of one of our partners, codepath, is that they run a few programs in their career center specifically around helping the cohorts that are signed up for the program to get job opportunities and or teach them how the tech interview process goes right. So my main contribution over there was I ran two workshops for early educated or early students that are in CS sophomore years and or if they were in an apprenticeship program, and I basically gave them the game right. It's like, hey, if you want to get a tech job or if you want to interview for a software engineering position, these are the moves you make right, and or these are the strategies that I recommend, or these are the style guides that I want you to be familiarized with and more or less just giving them how the interview process works. You know, being that I worked at Twitter for almost 10 years, you can imagine I interviewed hundreds of candidates before and that's just basically what I'd be able to bring to the conversation when I run those workshops for them.

Speaker 3:

That's awesome, yeah, man. Go ahead Now. Linkedin, are they all? They're owned by Microsoft, aren't they?

Speaker 1:

I think so actually. Yeah, I didn't really see no Microsoft fee type stuff over there, so I guess they work in independent.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I think they keep it separate, but I think Microsoft did.

Speaker 1:

You know, I was just.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, curious of the branding and all that.

Speaker 1:

So I didn't really catch the branding out there like that. Linkedin definitely got some money. Because they were hosting, you know, an actual X outlaw event out there too, which was actually really cool, and I was like man, yeah, I got a few dollars to spend, especially how they, you know, spend and party in San Francisco. They're definitely got some good backing. But, yeah, microsoft probably owns them. And now that I think about it, microsoft owns a social media company because LinkedIn is technically, you know, corporate social media.

Speaker 3:

So yeah, shout out to LinkedIn. I love their app.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, big shout out to LinkedIn. I mean if you don't have a LinkedIn, you better go get a LinkedIn. It's the best place to catch a job and definitely network with your people, peers that you've worked with in the past and by far I've gotten two jobs off of LinkedIn.

Speaker 4:

So yeah, if you don't know what I said, join our school community. We can definitely point you to the right direction. Same here.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, no, linkedin's great. I used to work at a company where my boss used to go on LinkedIn and look up the interviewees to see if they were real or if they were bots or not. So, yeah, great, platform For sure. Yeah, if you're not on there, you're doing yourself a disgrace.

Speaker 1:

And level up, level up. So another stop that we had while we was out on our tour was Google. So big shout-outs to Google. We pulled up to Google Play.

Speaker 3:

Google is in San Francisco.

Speaker 1:

Well, it's down in the South Bay, in an area called Mountain View, and that's where actually LinkedIn's headquarter is. So we spent time in the South Bay, which is over there by, like, if you head in towards San Jose, but we also went up into the city. But Microsoft's headquarters is in Mountain View. It's down in the South Bay, and we hung out over there on their campus for a day.

Speaker 3:

How far is that from San Francisco?

Speaker 1:

It's about what do you say? 30, 45-minute drive.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, okay, that's not bad Okay.

Speaker 4:

Hold on, where do you think Google is at?

Speaker 3:

You know what? That's a good question. Yeah, yeah, I guess you know what. Yeah, you know what. Yeah, I guess the San Francisco part People don't really resonate with. Cupertino Mountain View and those type of spots, but that's all Silicon. Valley and the Bay.

Speaker 1:

Area, and I mean in terms of where Google's at shit. They're everywhere.

Speaker 4:

No, I'm not everywhere.

Speaker 1:

We were even in the city and we were catching some Google buildings over there too. The main headquarters is down in Mountain View in the South Bay.

Speaker 4:

And if you haven't known what Google's at it's in San Francisco, Please watch Intern. Is it Intern?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, intern, that's actually a really good movie. Funny movie. Funny movie Shows you how the inside.

Speaker 4:

We didn't get a chance to do the inside, but it's just how it is over there For sure.

Speaker 1:

For sure. They actually had this really cool visitor visitor center where you can just go and check out some of the products that they're selling and stuff like that. Oh really, and it's a really cool building Like you walk around it and you're like man. They spent all this money just for a visitor center, but I think people work there too, because there was a separate entrance for employees that day.

Speaker 3:

Hardware products.

Speaker 4:

There was a. You see, when we was going into the store, that guy had like a little badge into a different area.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah, with a security guard. Security guard was holding down, yeah.

Speaker 4:

He was like. And then for the bikes? Yeah, it was like it's only for employees only.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

So we were trying to ride the bikes, you know.

Speaker 4:

Oh, okay, that's funny, it's fucked up. I mean, we would have.

Speaker 1:

You know, but they were selling hardware products there in the visitor center. But they also sold, you know, like swag type stuff. Yeah yeah, D got a bag. I got like a mug they sold. I don't know if I saw any shirts in there.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, there was some shirts there, there was all black.

Speaker 1:

Oh, the all black one with the chrome guy.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, and your chrome is not working.

Speaker 1:

Dinosaurs and yeah, yeah. But I mean I tell you, man, it definitely felt Google-y when you went over there that's part of the movie too this Google-ness it's actually a really good movie you should watch.

Speaker 2:

It's funny as hell, and I tell you.

Speaker 1:

I so much relate to it because that's totally how it is when you work at these companies.

Speaker 1:

Just that type of experience but yeah big shout outs to Google, letting us pull up on them, checking out the spot. And then the last thing that we did well, not the last thing, but the big thing that we did during our podcast recording with backstage Bobby D is we visit a location called Salesforce Tower. Big shout outs to Salesforce Tower. Big shout outs to WeWork. Oh my gosh. They have a very beautiful like workspace and if you're not familiar with the Salesforce Tower, I believe it's the tallest building in San Francisco now.

Speaker 4:

I think, so I want to say yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean it was like some 50-some floors.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, we were on 37 and still had some more to go. Actually, wework had 36, 37, and 38.

Speaker 3:

Oh, they did. Yeah, yeah, yeah because of the stairs that they had.

Speaker 1:

It was like this grand view and open when you first walk in, you see literally the whole city. You can see Oakland, you can see all the way down into where the pier was. You can see just about everything.

Speaker 4:

Shout out and great cappuccino. I appreciate you guys. It's really strong Wow.

Speaker 1:

That one had some heat. That's the thing about Bay, san Francisco. There are definitely coffee connoisseurs over there. But while we was at the Southsworth Tower, one of the cool things that we had is, like I said, we had a few of my peoples come through, check it out, do some recordings Space-wise, a really nice little space for us to do some recordings. But I'll tell you you, the best thing was the view. Um, if you ever get a chance and I believe you were saying d that you can take an elevator up there, like when you visit empire yes, yes, you can go up there and get, get like the whole 360.

Speaker 1:

Uh, yeah, yeah, so I would definitely add it to anybody's itinerary if they're going into the city just to check and experience that, because, um, it was definitely um one, one of the the cherries on the top for me for this trip that's cool, yeah, man. So big shout out to salesforce tower and damn, this security was on point wasn't it?

Speaker 1:

yes, it was. We couldn't move in that spot, bro. Like they knew, we couldn't even press the button for the elevator, like the security guard had to open up the elevator. Yeah, they pick an elevator for you.

Speaker 4:

So they have a big humongous's like a hallway and a whole bunch of elevators on the right, a whole bunch of elevators on the left. It's just nothing but elevators. And then in the front there's like you're going to go on a train. They give you those two little doors that you have to go. You go in, you open up and they say use your badge. Okay, Bobby and Darwin, you're going to go to B6 on your right-hand side. So we have to look for B6. Yep, yep. So once you get into the elevator, we're going up to number 37. Yep, All right, there is no other buttons, it's just open door, closed door, that's it. That's it. Yeah, it takes you up. So if you forget something when you're leaving.

Speaker 2:

good luck trying to go back up Facts. It was actually really secure.

Speaker 4:

It's 5 o'clock. Shut down. Why is it so tight?

Speaker 1:

It's just the way it is over there. If you think about that building, it is a kind of iconic tourist type of place.

Speaker 2:

People are going to be pulling up all the time.

Speaker 1:

I guess to make it secure they really got it locked down. You are not moving in there unless you're supposed to be in there, type stuff.

Speaker 3:

So who was all in that building Salesforce and WeWorks and like other people yeah it was other companies. Oh, okay, gotcha.

Speaker 1:

But I think majority of the building was Salesforce.

Speaker 4:

It's like the foreign building. Oh okay, A whole bunch of different businesses and stuff.

Speaker 3:

Okay gotcha, Just the same way Makes sense, okay.

Speaker 1:

I mean. But I also say that they had a really nice setup because we had the concierge send us barcodes. As soon as we pulled up, scan your barcode, walk in Garage, they check your barcode and key card Like it was all. Like they still charge you for parking. Yeah, for sure they charge you for parking.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, they still charge you, everything's a charge, so. So I went to buy a gift for my son at Macy's and the lady was like, would you like a bag? I was like, yes, of course. What kind of stupid question is that? And she goes well, we charge for bags here. So you have to bring your own bag whatever merchandise you're going to buy. If not, you're just going to have to carry it by hand.

Speaker 1:

But it's $0.10 per bag. Yep Wow.

Speaker 4:

That's totally a san francisco thing and taxes is cheaper over there than over here. Over there is 6.5 over here is like 7.5.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, crazy yeah. But they do have state taxes where we don't right.

Speaker 1:

So I mean it offsets in a long, in a long game, but in terms of just initial purchases, you can definitely see it's change in terms of those small transactions?

Speaker 3:

Yeah, their sales tax is cheaper.

Speaker 1:

But yeah. San Francisco is big on that, so you definitely and they ask and whenever they get a response like that, they know you're not from here, that's why, they automatically let you know how much you're doing.

Speaker 4:

She was like well here you go, but we charge for bags. I'll give you this one for free. I was like I was going to grab it regardless.

Speaker 1:

It doesn't really matter to me In my hand, not my hand.

Speaker 4:

I'm going from here to the car.

Speaker 1:

It doesn't bother me one bit, that's funny, that's funny.

Speaker 2:

But yeah man.

Speaker 1:

San Francisco is definitely a tree-hugging state and city. So they definitely prefer not to have bags. Got to save the planet, right? Yeah, for sure. Oh, and then one other thing that we did, big shout-outs to D-Hustle Trusting Technology.

Speaker 4:

Trusting AI.

Speaker 3:

Oh, yes, someone to hear about this While we were in the city.

Speaker 1:

right, we was driving around the city and all of a sudden we see this white car with all these cameras on it. I mean, you can't miss it. Shout-out to Jaguar, jaguar.

Speaker 4:

Jaguar can do phenomenal things out there, for sure, right.

Speaker 1:

You can't miss these cars. And the thing is it cars it wasn't just one, it wasn't just two. I mean, there were like crazy amount of these cars.

Speaker 4:

There's a lot of them Autonomous vehicles.

Speaker 1:

Basically nobody's driving them except the computer and AI is driving them. So we was in the city and the first time we saw it right, we were all excited taking pictures and stuff like that. And then we see another one, see another one, see another one, see another one, and then we were driving and then we were like yo, I wonder if we can just jump in, you know, catch one of these rides because it seems like it's so accessible. So Dee was like yo, just pull over and, you know, check it's waymo w-a-y-m-o okay, and I'm like all right, let me go find this.

Speaker 1:

And it said waymo car. I installed it. In less than 15 minutes we were ready to ride in a car, like it was just like an uber wow, perfect like perfect experience walk to this destination, this location.

Speaker 1:

It even had us take a little scenic route through a little park for us to go pick up the car and while we were there standing there waiting for the car, d and I are just sitting there like dang. I can't believe we're about to do this. And before you know it, the car pulls up so smooth, just pulls right up on the corner. You got to press the button to unlock the doors open. D sat in the front first, I sat in the back and crazy.

Speaker 3:

Were you guys scared or creeped out or anything?

Speaker 4:

I'm not going to lie. I was nervous. I was like yo listen, I don't trust nobody but me. This is not going to work very well.

Speaker 1:

I was nervous.

Speaker 4:

I was like you know what San Francisco is way in advance. It's like you live in the future bro If people trust them, it is and at the end of the day, it's a liability. I'm going to sue right away.

Speaker 2:

So it doesn't really bother me one bit he was like we're gonna make it regardless.

Speaker 4:

I'm gonna charge you like a regular uber yeah, and then it is what it is, you know, yeah, but it was a good experience. I felt good about it. Would I do it again? 110, 100, um. It's just a matter of time of getting over that fear and yeah, you got it, you know.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, now who's behind this? Like that's a great question.

Speaker 4:

I'm glad you said that, so I was telling Bobby that it felt like I don't know if you ever had one of those or seen these type of race car remote. You're sitting down with a monitor all the way around and you can see everything. It's oh man, I don't know. I felt like somebody's at home just driving it Driving the car around and I don't know.

Speaker 1:

I felt like somebody's at home just driving the car around and you're done because freaky.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 1:

But D did say that he felt like it was driving more safer and not trying to drive aggressively Right, right, right yeah. Like it was like safety was first for it. Like it would stop or pause, but it also picked up speed too, yeah.

Speaker 4:

I mean it has cameras all the way around, but it also picked up speed too.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I mean, it has cameras all the way around.

Speaker 4:

That's crazy. It has cameras all the way around. It has something like it's spinning. I don't know if it's like some waves, that is detecting.

Speaker 3:

Like a radar type thing Like a radar. But yeah, that's pretty cool, I guess. Obviously it's legal there and all that right.

Speaker 1:

Do they?

Speaker 3:

care.

Speaker 2:

Right.

Speaker 3:

That's the thing about in San.

Speaker 1:

Francisco, people ask for forgiveness afterwards.

Speaker 3:

Yeah wow.

Speaker 1:

But I tell you, bro, there was no way that you could miss it because it was definitely roaming around the city and then, in terms of just experience-wise, it was just like catching an Uber and the cost wasn't that expensive either.

Speaker 4:

No no, no, no, no. It is like catching an Uber, but I think we were more luxurious than everybody.

Speaker 1:

It's more like like give him a round of applause. He's saying that the luxury status was a little bit well when people's driving an uber right.

Speaker 4:

Are anybody taking pictures of ubers? No, everybody was taking pictures of us. Yeah we felt like we were superstars exactly seriously yeah so it's more of a luxurious, like we're superstars, yeah you know, so it's more of a luxurious, like we're superstars.

Speaker 1:

Wow, you know. So it's like Okay, yeah, I mean, I officially felt like what it felt like to, or what it feels like to be famous.

Speaker 4:

Yes, wow, I officially felt like what it feels like to be famous.

Speaker 3:

Everywhere we stop, people take out their phones recording and I'm like waving and everything and there's nobody on the driver's side. No, I mean mean just hearing the story.

Speaker 1:

I'm just like whoa, this is kind of freaky that's what made it cool for me after I was scared in the beginning, I see people taking out their phones.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, and he's sitting in the front too.

Speaker 3:

They're recording me. That's pretty funny. Yeah, so that's only a west coast thing, because I've never heard of that down here in the east coast it probably will come later on.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it'll definitely make its way.

Speaker 4:

I think it's ready.

Speaker 1:

I think it's ready city-wise definitely.

Speaker 3:

Can you imagine that down here in South Florida the people how they drive here?

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah, I'm sorry. Oh my goodness gracious, he's like.

Speaker 3:

I can get it.

Speaker 1:

But I will say that even while I was in the car, I felt the car wasn't like doing anything that was suspicious, like it wasn't trying to bend a corner. It was not trying to like speed up and get around people.

Speaker 4:

It was patiently waiting safety, safety and it's almost like it was.

Speaker 1:

Don't you know how teslas have you drive always on the brake, like it has that automatic brake feeling like it always felt like it was always doing that. So um, big big shout out to jaguar too, man, oh, man Shout-out to Jaguar.

Speaker 3:

Oh, it was a Jaguar, yeah, oh.

Speaker 1:

You didn't catch that at the beginning.

Speaker 3:

I heard that Okay, okay, yeah, damn.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they were all Jaguars, yeah.

Speaker 3:

Damn y'all really in luxury then?

Speaker 1:

That's what I said.

Speaker 3:

We fought like little superstars kid Jeez. Okay, a great, great trip.

Speaker 1:

A great experience. I highly recommend anybody get a chance to do it. Like I said, within 15 minutes you get to ride in an autonomous vehicle around the city. We rode all the way down to Fisherman's Wharf.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, fisherman's Wharf, we've seen all that really nice area and, like I said, while we were driving.

Speaker 1:

we were like superstars Everybody was trying to see what's good with us. Definitely big, big, big shout outs to Waymo. Waymo Thank you, I'm definitely going to be making some investments, in my opinion.

Speaker 2:

I'll see you again.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, yeah, I'm curious if they come down here to the East Coast. That'll be interesting.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, they'll be here sooner than later.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's almost like don't you know how New York always have the newest music and then you hear it in Florida, maybe like a month or two months later, that's basically what it is in San Francisco. It's like all the tech is out there and then we'll get it six months later.

Speaker 3:

That makes sense. Wow, that's dope man.

Speaker 1:

Yeah we had a really good time.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I saw some of the pictures and stuff on Instagram and all that. Yeah, yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1:

Living in the future. Living in the future.

Speaker 4:

Roger that Alright fellas.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 2:

Oh, thank you Thank you.

Speaker 1:

Thank you. Thank you, just to let you know that in advance. What up, peter, peter, peter put a cosigner for me.

Speaker 3:

Awesome. Yesterday was Canada Day, I think that's 4th of July.

Speaker 4:

Yesterday was.

Speaker 1:

Canada Day. It was Canada.

Speaker 4:

Day.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, Canada.

Speaker 4:

Day.

Speaker 2:

That's for Drake.

Speaker 3:

I didn't even know I didn't even know until, like DC, I saw Drake saying that Drake over there, so that's funny Shout out to my Canadians.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, shout out to, oh, shout out to the real Canadians Out there, let you know, don't listen. Hey, don't listen to what this guy says, cause remember how he said About the hockey.

Speaker 2:

Florida.

Speaker 4:

Oh yeah, so I don't know if he's really being sincere About the situation.

Speaker 1:

He run it all.

Speaker 4:

So other than that, man 4th of July coming up, a lot of sales. I don't know if you guys know about that. There is a big sale going on on Best Buy. If you want to score on a 77-inch LG Evo C3 4K OLED smart TV, right now it is almost two grand Word, two grand.

Speaker 3:

Not bad, but I want bigger though.

Speaker 4:

But you get $300 off if you use their coupon code, which is over here I was giving you guys shout-outs Off the $700?. Off the two grand.

Speaker 3:

Oh, okay, off the two grand, okay so you're looking at $1699. That's not bad.

Speaker 4:

It's supposed to be one of the best TVs out there.

Speaker 3:

What kind of TV is it again? Lg, lg, okay.

Speaker 4:

Evo C3.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I'm a Samsung type of guy, but likewise here. Yeah, I'm trying to get on Bobby's level. What he's got like an 86? Nah.

Speaker 1:

I got it from D. What are you talking about, oh?

Speaker 3:

okay, Not trying to put your business out there or nothing, but you know, trying to get on your level.

Speaker 2:

So but yeah man.

Speaker 1:

But look, he came to the house the other day and we have some pictures in the front of our. Tv right and my daughter just graduated high school. Big shout-outs to you, sunshine. Shout-outs to Tati and her new high school picture is like at the bottom right-hand corner of the TV, but it makes the TV look smaller because it like cuts the TV off. But hey, we'll celebrate her just for a little bit and then we're going to review her.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, just for now, because you graduated, congratulations. But once that year comes up, we're going to have to take you down For sure. You're blocking on my TV, can't see the left-hand side. Yeah, man, apple. Apple is expecting AI features to boost the iPhone 16 to 10 million units. Wow, what do you guys think about that?

Speaker 3:

Wow, 10 million units. Wow, what do you guys think about that? Wow, I mean, that is a no-brainer. You're going to be getting free. Ai well, I mean it's free, but yeah, it's like every. All the experts are saying this is a game changer for them.

Speaker 1:

So yeah, yeah, embracing ai well, getting you know the top ai in their phone, yeah, so yeah, I mean, I think it's gonna definitely um boost cells, depending on how they make it more um accessible to ai. I don't know how massive it's gonna boost cells, because it's gonna be a software rather than actual physical product. It's not like they're coming out with something new physically, right right, it's gonna to be a new feature that they're going to add to to the phone, um, so I don't, I'm I'm worried that they might have overestimated in terms of people are not going to go run to the store to go get an iphone because the new ai came out.

Speaker 3:

In my opinion, yeah, it's not just the phones, it's the ipads and you know the macs and stuff like that.

Speaker 1:

So I'm just. I'm just trying to see in terms of just how are they going to increase revenue of selling a product because of AI, Because I think a lot of us that already have iPhones we're either one or two going to get some of it for free or we're going to have to pay something new. Maybe that's how they make some money off of it.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, it's interesting yeah.

Speaker 1:

But I don't know if people are going to run to the store to go get iPhone 16 with AI.

Speaker 3:

Right, right, Good point yeah.

Speaker 4:

I think they're still going to buy it, of course.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, people upgrade their phones every year, so people that stand on that hill.

Speaker 1:

But I think that's also like already forecasted in their costs. They know that they have loyal customers that are going to go from whatever the one that they had last year to the newer one, just because right. But I don't know if it's going to be that big stampede type thing like everybody's running to go get it.

Speaker 3:

But this is not until next year, though, right.

Speaker 1:

Yes, correct, plenty of time, okay.

Speaker 4:

Plenty of time to stack up that money, to buy that To go buy that.

Speaker 1:

My son is actually a little key, saving money For an iPhone, so we'll see I don't know if he's going to buy it cash, though. I told him, let me hold the money.

Speaker 4:

Name changing. I don't know if you guys heard. Right now Meta is changing their name From made with ai to ai info what? Yeah, I guess they're old, the old. Everything that came up with ai is always made with ai. I guess when they're saying everything is made with, everything is made with ai, uh, they don't like the name they just want to change it to ai info now.

Speaker 1:

Interesting.

Speaker 4:

I don't know what they're doing. I don't know what they're doing.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so alright.

Speaker 1:

Interesting Meta's changing Artificial intelligence Labels.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy, like Sometimes you know what and this is the thing About names is, before you know it, names Die away. Because how quickly have we Moved away from Calling that company Facebook to now calling it Meta and everybody's cool with it?

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

But also it's like me, names sometimes carry on for longer, right? It's like, for instance, Ford, right? We didn't know that technically that's Henry Ford's last name, but we look at it as a Ford vehicle type stuff. Like names are crazy in terms of how long they last or how quickly people get over them.

Speaker 3:

Twitter. I refuse to call it X. I know it as Twitter.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's the thing. That's a great example. I don't even call it Twitter, I call it X. It'sa different platform for me and you know the funny thing is, when you're watching TV you'll see X and then they'll have formally Twitter. It's always going to be mentioning Twitter outside of whatever they call the company now, but we'll see. Oh, side note, I believe it's July. Might be July, maybe 4th of July, I can't remember exactly the date, but it's been one year since I've been on X or Twitter.

Speaker 3:

Oh, you've been on the platform. I haven't been on the platform, oh, okay.

Speaker 1:

I've been boycotting it for a while. You haven't used it at all, wow Okay. I haven't used it for one whole year.

Speaker 3:

Wow, yeah, I was like that until you got me on the platform.

Speaker 1:

I mean, I love it.

Speaker 2:

I mean I'm trying to get users.

Speaker 1:

Okay, but yeah, I I kind of boycotted Twitter for a whole year and I'm about to reinstall it finally to see what kind of crap they've been doing. Okay, it sucks, but I still love it, though that's where you get all your news right.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you get the fastest news on there.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, that's good, all right D. What else we got here? Have you heard of?

Speaker 4:

AI-driven exoskeleton. Ai-driven exoskeleton. Ai driven exoskeleton. Yeah this, basically, is a new thing, which is a wearable technology provides an unpredicting energy saving human movements, making users feel like they are carrying 26 pounds less, and results of significant improvement in athletic performance and daily life activities.

Speaker 1:

Wow. So basically you have like an exoskeleton suit that you wear Yep, and that's going to basically lighten the load of your body and also make you more efficient.

Speaker 4:

That is correct.

Speaker 2:

Wow.

Speaker 1:

This reminds me what was that movie that Day of Tomorrow was it? It was that guy that does Mission Impossible. What's his name?

Speaker 3:

I'm having a brain fart here.

Speaker 1:

Day of Tomorrow he was wearing.

Speaker 4:

While he's looking for that information here, the Esco Skeleton. Basically what it's trying to do is it's going to be for walking, which helps out 24.3%, running 13.1% and stair climbing at 15.4%. This is a remarkable achievement. Stem for experiment-free and versatile control, approaching Basically what they do is. Eliminates the need for lengthy human tests and handcraft rules.

Speaker 2:

You want to hear the price. How much is?

Speaker 4:

it $50,000 to $120,000. Wow, jesus Christ, $50,000 to $120,000. Wow, jesus Christ $50,000 to $120,000?. Yes, sir.

Speaker 1:

That is crazy.

Speaker 4:

Basically, what they're saying is due to research and development costs and actuators. Our approach can significantly reduce the R&D costs by leveraging our efficient human and stimulation framework, which allows them rapid designs, testing computer stimulations rather than intense. Basically, it's like a physical robot.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, that's exactly what you're saying. It is a physical robot that you're wearing and it's going to make me more efficient, but that price tag, though, that's crazy.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1:

So I just dropped it into the Discord. It's Edge of Tomorrow with.

Speaker 4:

Tom of Tomorrow With Tom.

Speaker 1:

Cruise, and this is when they were wearing the actual skeleton shoes.

Speaker 4:

Oh, yes, yes, that it comes back in time all over and all over, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

We're freaking making these things that we see on movies. What's that price tag again?

Speaker 4:

$50,000 to $120,000. $50,000. It $50,000. It's not $50. Let's get that out the way. $50,000 to $120,000.

Speaker 1:

That's crazy. Yeah, I don't know, man. This is going to be almost like the Apple Vision Pro Nobody's going to buy it because they can't afford it.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, well, again, rich people. Rich people problems. They wear something they're spending money on.

Speaker 1:

Would either of y'all get it?

Speaker 4:

I'll get it, I'll try it out to see if it really is. What are they talking about? I could be a test dummy for it, definitely, if they want got no problem, I'm not going to spend the 50 to 120. I got more other stuff to spend money on instead of that, but I'm more than happy can try it out for you and give it back. Let you guys know if it works or not.

Speaker 3:

Patience zero over here.

Speaker 4:

We got a plug here, Send one over here to TechHustle. You're going to sign waivers, don't worry about that.

Speaker 1:

Other than that, he called himself Cyber Guy. He's the guy that's testing this product out. Yes, sir, oh, I forgot to mention We've um, oh mention, um san francisco I forgot to mention.

Speaker 4:

We've seen like 50 cyber trucks out there, bro, like really cyber trucks were moving out all over the place.

Speaker 1:

Tesla was running the street, teslas and priuses.

Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, that's funny. It's like we see them here, it's like a ghost.

Speaker 1:

You see out west, they're all over all over the place, everywhere we was parking going, even at salesforce Tower they had one. We went to visit Google. Really, we seen it on the road, interesting and people having new tags, like they just picked it up yesterday type stuff Interesting.

Speaker 3:

Okay, yeah, they're moving out there Must be able to test, or maybe the you know Twitter employees or whatever.

Speaker 1:

Oh yeah all right, so we up. Next we got raymond's nuggets. What's up?

Speaker 3:

player. What's up, gentlemen? What's going on? Man, it's going it's all right.

Speaker 1:

All right, yeah, no doubt, bro. So what you got on your list today?

Speaker 3:

so I'm gonna take a little controversial take here. So I'm always, you know, promoting and telling you guys positive nuggets and stuff. These are nuggets that I'm giving you that you should not have on your phone.

Speaker 1:

You should not have on your phone. Yes, we do not recommend this.

Speaker 3:

But you know this is just public service announcement, Just you know. Take it or leave it. I know I'm going to get some hate email and text messages and all that.

Speaker 3:

Just get ready, yeah so, yep, you know, we all like ordering food and all that stuff, right, you guys order food delivered to your house and all that. I don't know what apps you use uber eats or door dash. Uber eats, their door dash yep, there's a bunch of them, yeah, so, in particular I'm going to be talking about door dash is one of the largest food and delivering ordering apps on planet earth. So, according to an investigation earlier this year by the federal government, it was discovered that they sent your information to nine separate third-party vendors. What, yep, feel free to use DoorDash on your own will. So, you know, the government fined them heavily and I think back in 2019, too, they were hacked and took a lot of information. But, just putting it out there, it's not really recommended that to have this app on your phone, use it at your own will.

Speaker 1:

Wow, so yeah, dang. So DoorDash was selling data wow, so.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so door dash was selling data. Yes, they're selling data to like nine third party vendors. So it was discovered and they were fined by the federal government and, like I said, they got hacked, like four years ago yeah, I remember when that hack happened so but um, yeah, so yeah, interesting yeah, so how do you feel about that in terms of selling your data and stuff like that? It's complete bs. I hate it, I mean you signed the terms and agreements.

Speaker 1:

so I don't use DoorDash, so I don't get food delivered to my house like that.

Speaker 2:

I don't use none of that so so how do? You order food.

Speaker 3:

I go pick it up because it's too expensive.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, definitely yeah, it's like yeah, true, yeah, so but dang so door dash selling data but also had the data breach um and the government sending them or finding them for first. You know a few million yes yeah, yeah. So and then you're saying is in terms of our recommendation is don't even have this, the application installed these are just apps, we don't?

Speaker 1:

well, I mean, yeah, take it or leave it on your phone, yeah, so and I actually this reminds me of an article that I read about apps is um that even though you have apps installed and you don't use them, they still are doing and tracking stuff on you so it's like, even if you have, it's like you mentioned that to somebody like hey, I just have the app installed on my phone and I don't use it yeah that doesn't mean that they're not still recording data and sending it out.

Speaker 1:

Just because you're not using the app you know what I'm saying, so um wow I guess that's a really good nugget for us. Appreciate you, yeah, take it or leave it, you know. Public announcement.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I still use it yeah, hey it's his own.

Speaker 3:

So other app here is going to be very controversial here. My kids are always harassing me hey, dad, can I get this on my phone or ipad? And I've told them hey, you do not. You better not put this app on your iPad. If you do, I will take your iPad and break it and you won't have another iPad or phone to your freaking 19. So this is very controversial.

Speaker 3:

Tiktok so I don't have a TikTok account. I've never signed into TikTok. I can't stand TikTok and I don't want my kids using it. Whoever uses it, that's each his own. So it's going to trigger a lot of people here, but not to cause mayhem and pandemonium. But it has been recorded that TikTok records your keystrokes, like when you're using the app on the phone. It records your keystrokes. And also it's been recorded that they listen to whatever you're saying on the phone, even if you don't give them permission to access your mic, they literally listen to everything you're doing. Obviously it's owned by a chinese company and we know our federal government wants them to sell it to an american company. So, yeah, it's been, you know, recorded. Use it at your own leisure. So I've never used it, never signed it, but I know it's the biggest social media app on planet Earth, so I know I'm getting a lot of hate email, but just don't it out there, so yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean TikTok is another one that is very suspicious in terms of what what it potentially could do, because it is a platform that everybody is using Right, and I bet you, your kids, are up against friends that are on TikTok all the time and telling them all the stuff that's going on.

Speaker 3:

Of course.

Speaker 1:

But this is like the thing about these platforms is you don't know what they're doing outside of, what they're providing a service around, and yeah, I mean, if you can't keep it away from the kids, why not? But I mean, it's. It's not the only thing that's listening. Oh, I know, but just to put added fuel to it, it's. It's not the only thing that's listening.

Speaker 3:

Oh, I know. But just to put added fuel to it, you know their privacy concerns. Like we know, google, apple and all of them. They track your stuff. But TikTok makes Google, apple and all of them look like an angel compared to the data and stuff that they do. It's like you know it stuff that they do, it's like you know it's company is owned by the republic of china.

Speaker 1:

I'm just saying so wow, you're so such an american, though I'm just saying so yeah, just throwing it out there. I don't want to get a lot of hate emails, so it was an american company. Would you still be saying that?

Speaker 3:

no, I still think it's crap what the government's trying to do to force them to sell it to a us company that's bs.

Speaker 1:

But I'm just saying so I mean, I I think in terms of um potential malicious use use case for tiktok. I think china's definitely positioned to to do that, like they're going to be feeding us. You know how they say that. Uh, you, sometimes you're doing something that's feeding poison to yourself, and eventually you die from it right is that it's not that first time that you take it, but it's the continued times that you take it that you eventually get to that point.

Speaker 3:

Right.

Speaker 1:

Is.

Speaker 3:

I feel like China is like undercover doing something like that yeah, I mean it's been like you know, with the election stuff. It's been proven like with, even with, like you know, the you know COVID stuff that they're putting on TikTok, like you know brainwashing Americans and stuff.

Speaker 1:

So I'm just saying, yeah, guess, raymond's Nuggets this week is uninstall DoorDash and TikTok or use it on your own leisure. So yeah, alright, raymond, very opinion about it. American stand up go USA alright, fellas, anything else on your list today? Player. No, that's it alright, big shout outs to you, man. I appreciate those nuggets today. Raymond's Nuggets All right. So next up we have some sports by my guy D-Hustle. What up player? What's?

Speaker 4:

going on. What's going on?

Speaker 1:

Some stuff been going on, man All right.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

First thing, all number one, I don't know what the heck you guys are doing over there in that organization.

Speaker 4:

But if you up a long time and you let another team come back to win the series you guys get no respect from me at all, wow.

Speaker 1:

No respect, no respect at all. Wow player, you took it all the way back.

Speaker 4:

And then there's another game that they get blown out 11 to some change to want to.

Speaker 3:

That didn't count. Come on man, what do you mean? It didn't count? That's too realistic. Of course it counted. I pretended that didn't happen.

Speaker 4:

Again. But anyway, shout out to the Florida Panthers organization there and make sure you guys are all. Good luck trying to figure shit out next year. Yeah.

Speaker 1:

And the coach. I believe there was a stat about this coach that it was his first, first win. After like some 20, some years.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, yeah, wow.

Speaker 4:

Congratulations to him. Yeah, he reminds me of Joe Biden. Don't know how to speak on an interview, oh my god. But hey, it is what it is. Welcome to Florida Panthers.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, alright, shout out to Florida.

Speaker 4:

Panthers.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, all right, other than that shout out to Florida Panthers Next up, major League Baseball Yankees are in second place. I don't know what you guys doing there, but shout out to Baltimore, let them know they're more hungrier than the Yankees. I like that. I like it a lot. Boston is third under New York, just in case anybody wants to know. All right, boston is still under New York. Just in case anybody wants to know. Those that were asking, those that were asking Tampa Bay is under Boston. Very, very surprising this year. I'm not too sure what's going on over there. Tampa Rays, it is what it is. And then all the way to the National League, philly. You guys shout out that organization. Know what the fuck they're doing over there. Atlanta I am still amazed you guys are still in second place after you lost to Kuna. Oh yeah, they did lose to Kuna Shout out to them, shout out to them.

Speaker 1:

They got to hold it on, hold on. Is he going to make it back before the season? No, he's done. He's done for the year.

Speaker 4:

And then shout out to my Mets right under Atlanta and then, of course, if you there in San Diego Padres, second place. Other than that, still a couple more games left. Yeah, she got there, man.

Speaker 3:

One more thing I wanted to let you know yesterday, since you're speaking on baseball. Yesterday was happy Bobby Bonillo day.

Speaker 4:

Oh, shout out to my man, bobby Bonillo. Yeah, if you guys know him, I haven't heard that name in a while.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you don't know that he's collecting a check of $1 million every 1st of July to God knows when.

Speaker 4:

Wow.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, so the Mets screwed up with his contract so he took the back end instead of taking all the money up front. Yeah, and he won. So yesterday was yeah, shout out to him.

Speaker 2:

So they're writing him checks.

Speaker 4:

They're writing him checks to, like God knows when. That's what's up? Same thing. Shout out to him and Ken Griffey, everybody doing the same thing. Shout out to those people Great management, yes.

Speaker 3:

Great management. Actually, that's bad management. Good on him, good on him.

Speaker 1:

Where's the Giants at on the list?

Speaker 3:

Speaker 3:

Yeah, you guys get a tight end.

Speaker 4:

Speaker 3:

But hey, it's all right, you'll figure it out in camp.

Speaker 4:

Figure it out in camp. Yeah, other than that, in NFL they still haven't even figured out what's going to do with San Francisco's wide receiver Ayuk. I don't know if he's staying over there or not.

Speaker 1:

They might be trading him or something like that.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I don't know, man he wants to get paid. Yeah, Shout out to McCaffrey getting married. You know we'll miss Universe. Olivia Coppola, like I mentioned earlier in the last podcast. Well, not this one, but a couple podcasts before. Beautiful woman, Beautiful woman. Like I said, I'd rather see this all day than fucking Travis Kelsey and his fucking chick but like I said before, Olivia Cooper is way better than your girl, Taylor Swift to me personally. But, like I said, congratulations to them too.

Speaker 1:

Other than that, Yo hold on the Swifties. Don't come in Radar Show now please His name is D-Hustle slash Darwin.

Speaker 4:

I take all smoke, baby, I'm not scared of no smoke at all. I'm a Swifty all right, I'm a Swifty.

Speaker 3:

I am not a Swifty, you know.

Speaker 4:

But Other than that, moving over to soccer, soccer, a lot of stuff going on. A lot of Copa Americana is going on on TV all over the place For all you soccer fans Brazil and Colombia today, crazy matchup. Make sure you guys take a look into that. Oh, that's today, yeah, today. And Costa Rica and Portugal also today. Other than that, there's other games. If you guys follow that, I can let let you know.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, also big thumbs down for the americans. They lost yesterday. They got eliminated. Us men's team yeah trash, trash.

Speaker 4:

I never knew american yeah all right, listen to me very well. American soccer team has not been good Since fucking David Beckham. Let's be realistic here.

Speaker 3:

Still, though, man, it's like Cause trash, get some good players.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, and then let's talk business and then meanwhile Shout out to the other organizations.

Speaker 2:

Out there.

Speaker 4:

All the other countries.

Speaker 3:

All the other countries Doing their shit. What the hell man? How can we always suck in soccer? We're like the greatest nation, right, but we?

Speaker 4:

suck at soccer. It's time Times is changing, bro.

Speaker 3:

I'm just saying and since you talked about football, did you see that when we got beat by Japan In football last week? Or two weeks ago In football, american football.

Speaker 4:

American football yeah, we got our ass kicked yeah so. I don't know who was on the team. They didn't bring the.

Speaker 3:

Miami boys on the Miami high school kids would have beat the Japan team. Are you kidding me? We get beat in American football.

Speaker 4:

There's probably some good players out there. You don't even know about Crap. Come on, this is our game.

Speaker 1:

Look, Japanese in baseball too.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Shout out to that Crazy.

Speaker 3:

There's some sports we should not be losing in I'm sorry Football, basketball, I mean soccer. Okay, I get it, but no, that's crazy.

Speaker 4:

So that's my rant, so Copa Mundial. Over there people Shout out to you guys, Other than that I don't have a team, but you know I do, like my man Renato, so if anything I'll shout him out, but other than that it is what it? Is, and that's also about Renato His out on, and. But other than that, it is what it is, and that's also about ronaldo his last um copa mundial is going to be this year.

Speaker 4:

Okay, so yeah, so thank you for all your love and all your wins um big fan, big fan yeah, he's one of my favorites, and messy too.

Speaker 3:

Just in case, is he playing messy?

Speaker 4:

uh, he's, yeah, he's gotta be, okay.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, definitely playing but yeah, so he's retiring. Is that what it is? Well, no, no, no, he's.

Speaker 4:

This is the last, so retiring, is that what it is? Well, no, no, no. This is his last, so every so you know how it is, everybody go to the All-Star game.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Like after so many years. She said this is going to be his last year. Ah, okay, I mean he's still going to be playing, he's still going to Alright, back where we've all been waiting for basketball. Here we go, here we go. A lot of you know what.

Speaker 1:

There we go.

Speaker 4:

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Welcome here to the Tech Hustle, ladies and gentlemen, where our sports is going to be here, starting with the beautiful basketball First shout. Out to my man, paul George, for leaving the Clippers.

Speaker 1:

Starting with the beautiful basketball First shout out to my man, paul George, for leaving the Clippers to join the Dallas Mavericks. Wow, no, I lied. Hold on, philly.

Speaker 4:

Philadelphia. Are you a Sixers? I have to give you that because it's a Sixers. I don't like Joel Embiid, so I have to give you that, but I do like Paul George. Good shout out to him, getting the Max deal.

Speaker 3:

Max deal too. That's crazy. You don't think that was Too much money for him?

Speaker 4:

I want to say probably, yeah, man, I don't know, but Philly got it.

Speaker 3:

So hey, yeah, more power to them. What's the number?

Speaker 1:

looking like though 200 mil.

Speaker 3:

He's 34 years old. That's too much money.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, but he's still boiling his number's still up there 30.

Speaker 2:

Okay, numbers are still up before no, he's trying to.

Speaker 3:

He's definitely chasing good luck to him clay thompson.

Speaker 4:

I apologize now to the mavericks.

Speaker 3:

Yes, clay thompson.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it sucks so what happened was is that la again dropping the ball? Shout out again to la dropping the ball. Shout out again to LA dropping the ball again.

Speaker 3:

You talking about the Clippers or the Lakers, lakers, yeah, I try to pick them up.

Speaker 4:

I don't know what's going on over there in that organization, but I'm feeling good about it. They ain't picking up players.

Speaker 2:

They sucks man, you know.

Speaker 1:

It is what it is, so give me a little bit of backstory. So K Clay Thompson's obviously contract's done, Contract's done. Yeah, San Francisco said no, we're not going to read. San Francisco gave him an offer. Oh, they did give him an offer. They gave him an offer. He said no, he said he didn't like it.

Speaker 3:

They wanted him to come off the bench. He's like no.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I feel you I mean. So what's his deal now? Where is?

Speaker 3:

he going now. But, like D Hustle said, Lakers did drop the ball because LeBron called him and had a talk with him and obviously he didn't care. He went to Dallas.

Speaker 1:

He was paying them more. Yeah, how many more years do you think he got?

Speaker 4:

Let's ask LeBron that.

Speaker 1:

How many more years?

Speaker 4:

do you think LeBron got? I think he's way better, healthier than LeBron, for me personally.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, way better, yeah but I mean, come on that stat line. He played like trash last year D. Let's be real Clay.

Speaker 1:

I mean, he was coming off an injury last year, wasn't he? He was coming off the bench.

Speaker 4:

You guys put him in the bench.

Speaker 3:

I mean, he was on our team. How do you put a star player in the bench? That's a lie. That's what you're talking about. That is a lie. Klay Thompson had a stat line last year that was 0-0-0-0.

Speaker 4:

You're comparing a guy that starts with a guy that's on the fucking bench, Raymond. I'm just saying Come on, you can't put him up, let's put the numbers on that.

Speaker 3:

I'm just saying LeBron still almost puts up a triple-double.

Speaker 4:

You're correct, he still can. But again, a guy that's on the bench compared to a guy that's playing 20 years.

Speaker 3:

That's true. That's disrespectful, putting him out on the bench. That's the Warriors.

Speaker 4:

I don't understand, yeah, but listen. Congratulations, Clay, for making this happen.

Speaker 3:

That's a good move, great move. Taxes are cheaper over there. Yeah, that's no state taxes, and that three headed horseman Is going to be nice With him, you know.

Speaker 4:

Kyrie, I still think they should have Got a big man, but you know who?

Speaker 3:

Dallas. Yeah, yeah, they're small, I agree with you on that. Yeah, so but.

Speaker 1:

But Hayden, he's going to go out there and shoot that bucket though, yeah.

Speaker 4:

Other than that Tabaris Harris gone and Harden stays with the Clippers. So, harden, listen man. Harden, I love you man.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

You always put up good numbers. I want to say better than LeBron.

Speaker 1:

But again.

Speaker 4:

You need to be that same Harden that was in Houston Rocks. I need you to be that same. You still can do it, but it is what it is. But hey, listen, figure that out, you're in a bad organization.

Speaker 3:

Let me ask you a question about the Clippers. Do you think PG left because of Harden? No, because everywhere he goes like people leave the team Harden when Harden comes onto the team. I'm just saying because you know PG has put comments out there, so I don't know.

Speaker 4:

PG is always faithful to every team he goes. He is very, he is very. He's like every team he went to. He's like yo, I appreciate it, I'm going to stay here, it is what it is. And then he moves. Pg, you need to stop saying that to every fucking team. Let's get that out there right now. Okay, I know you get it, you're grateful and everything but let's get this trip.

Speaker 4:

If not, listen. You're just like LeBron your time's almost up. You're going to have to retire. You'll figure it out. It is what it is.

Speaker 1:

I think all of them are chasing that because their time is getting close.

Speaker 4:

Other than that, let's get the juice, because I know this is for Raymond here.

Speaker 1:

I'll always be the Lakers for the end.

Speaker 4:

Talk about you Lakers fans man. Some of about you Lakers fans man. Uh, some of you guys are very salty and hating right now, like you guys don't want to pick a phone calls.

Speaker 3:

Dave, not one. I just want to give a shout out to Dave for not picking up the phone, because he knew what was coming up. No, uh, oh.

Speaker 4:

Dave's a Lakers fan. Oh yeah, he's a.

Speaker 2:

Lakers fan shout out to Dave he doesn't want to call, he doesn't want to pick up, he still has not returned my phone call just to let you know know, what it is.

Speaker 4:

That's funny.

Speaker 2:

It is what it is.

Speaker 4:

Lakers hired JJ Redick. Lakers get Ronnie James. Okay, lakers cannot find nobody to sign LeBron James. He's still in free agency. I thought people would still be up, since my man says he's getting always numbers. As a Laker fan, which I'm going to ask, what do you think about that in the organization? It's sad Does that tell you that you guys are a competitive organization. Are you reaching a chip? No, what are you guys doing?

Speaker 3:

They're not. They're clearly not reaching a check.

Speaker 4:

I mean a chip, a chip.

Speaker 3:

As a Lakers fan, diehard Lakers fans are not happy with this move. We got an unexperienced coach. You know we, you know, obviously, you know signed, you know our best player's son. But then again I want to throw it back at you guys. Devil's advocate, would you not do what's best for your kid? I'm just saying we know the kid is not experienced but as a dad, don't.

Speaker 4:

Let's just take the basketball out of it.

Speaker 3:

Let's, let's just. Would you not want the best for your kid?

Speaker 4:

definitely yes okay yes, uh, first of all number one. Uh, I don't know why they they're looking for lebron and gene, like first of all shout out to that organization for making history.

Speaker 3:

I guess they want to yes, be in the charts of history. Yeah, we're not being competitive. Congratulations on that. Okay, we're going to suck.

Speaker 4:

All right, I can see LeBron already trading his son after they are 11 and 35. All right, let's get that out the way. Yes, as a father, I would love to. Would it be a dream? Yes, I think he should earn it, not just give it Facts. Okay, first of all, number one the kid started off. In case you're not a Bronny fan, I'm not a Bronny fan, but I read up on his research. Didn't play a full year, yeah, in basketball Alright, in there, okay. Also had a cardio arrest.

Speaker 3:

I agree.

Speaker 4:

Now he's getting drafted. I agree, Bro. How many? How many do you need?

Speaker 3:

I agree. All I mean lakers fans agree with you. It's just they are trying to sell tickets, they're not trying to win chip exactly that's what this is. This is going to be like a circus that goes around am I happy for father and son yes, yeah, yes yeah.

Speaker 4:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

I'm so happy.

Speaker 4:

But your son is not ready, he has not played a full game of basketball. Cardio arrest all over the fucking world the news oh my God, he's down Boom.

Speaker 3:

And then get drafted. I completely agree with you. But what about, like with the Stephen a's and stuff saying that we are going overboard? With all of this like you know, with, uh, you know, relatives being on teams and stuff like that and people need to chill nah, bro, come on.

Speaker 1:

It's the first time this has ever happened of course people are going to have an opinion about it what do you mean? The first time, first time that a a player okay a father and son play on the same team.

Speaker 3:

Well, there are players and fathers, no doubt, but not on the same team playing the same season. That's true. This is the first in history.

Speaker 1:

So when that happens, it has to, in my eyes, be like wow, your son made it out there. Like, look at his achievement to take your place. Like for me it's almost as if you're giving a pathway to greatness. Versus what I feel like they're doing is like hey, just come here and no.

Speaker 2:

I understand man and at the end of the day is does he?

Speaker 4:

have the skill sets? Yes, can he be driven in the right way? Yes, look at your father.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 4:

Is it in his veins? Yes, but again, that doesn't mean he's going to be the same as his father.

Speaker 3:

Of course not. Yeah, no, but don't you think like having your father as your coach that's going to help and drive the kid?

Speaker 4:

Coach your father as your coach that's gonna help and drive the kid coach. What better coach? You said it. What better coach didn't have the? You know, yeah, you know, put it this way, I feel it, father and son, I'm, I'm very amazed. But let's put this thing back in the days. In a corporate world, yeah, you're not able to work in the same position with your any siblings that you have. Have you heard about that? Of course, yeah, yeah, well why is it okay in basketball?

Speaker 3:

that's true.

Speaker 4:

It shouldn't yeah this is if I wanted to work. When I was working at tire kingdom and I wanted to get my brother to work with me in my same department, that said, no, he can apply, yeah, but it has to be in a different department. Facts yeah. What is the difference between corporate?

Speaker 3:

over there and corporate in here all right, let me ask you a question. Didn't ken griffey and his son play together, right?

Speaker 4:

but how long ago that got shut down? Yeah, I mean real quick.

Speaker 3:

yeah, I don't know how long they played together or whatever, but I'm just saying Actually they did father and son like home run derbies. Okay.

Speaker 4:

Like heel pitch and Ken Griffey would hit yeah yeah, stuff like that.

Speaker 3:

They didn't play on the same team, though they played on the same team, but that shit lasted like this Okay, all right, because I don't know what happened.

Speaker 4:

But I can go on back and of the day. I don't know what you guys are doing.

Speaker 3:

Brownie's still going to have to earn it. He's not going to be a starter and all that he's going to have to prove it.

Speaker 4:

He's going to have to college basketball Facts Unless they put him down in the D League. That's the thing. Yeah, d League, bro, with the Lakers. Yeah, you know, come play, we're still going to get you. Morale would have been affected by that in terms of like other people around me, but this is how ridiculous it is. You have Porridge, which is the agent calling every other organization, saying do not draft Bronny unless he's going to go and play in overseas, like I don't care.

Speaker 3:

Okay, like this is what. All right, listen to me. I got a rebuttal on that. You're a Giants fan, right?

Speaker 4:

This is what I would do. Give me a second.

Speaker 3:

Hold that thought.

Speaker 4:

This is what I would do. Boston had the pick before them, I would draft Brownie Boston. Boston would draft Brownie and then make a trade To see how much you really want Brownie in your Lakers. And then you're going to give up some of your players to my team because you want Bronny. Yeah, fuck that, nah, but go ahead.

Speaker 3:

I agree that was complete crap what the agent did. Now we know that his dad was kind of behind that, though definitely, yeah, I mean he's behind that, he's you know, what he reminds me of.

Speaker 2:

You know what he reminds me of.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to make a phrase for football, since you were talking about the the giant, you remind me of jerry west. I mean jerry, not jerry west. Uh, fuck, who's the uh jerry? Uh, who's the uh owner from dallas? Uh, jim jimmy jerry jones.

Speaker 3:

Jerry jones, sorry just like jerry.

Speaker 4:

He wants to be the player, the quarterback, the, the freaking coach, the whole entire organization, everything.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, that's lebron right there of course I mean, yeah, now, all right. Now, what about people on the internet saying that, hey, why are we chastising this black man? Because eli manning did the same thing too. Remember? Eli manning said he didn't want to play for san diego, I want to play for the giants, okay. So I mean, why are we getting on brownie and his family?

Speaker 4:

for that. And elon, elon manny got drafted from the chargers. Chargers, let him go say he won it At the end of the day. If you don't want to play for the team, that's fine, but you're already drafted. Guess who picked him up? It wasn't the Giants, it was somebody else, and they traded for him, which is that's the way business is.

Speaker 1:

I mean but he actually was at that level too, in terms of being a player.

Speaker 3:

You are correct, he, but he actually was at that level too in terms of being a player. You are correct, he was a number one pick you are correct.

Speaker 4:

He wasn't, and at the end of the day he played a whole bunch of years in college.

Speaker 3:

No, yeah, I agree he earned his spot. Yeah.

Speaker 2:

I agree.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I mean, and I actually have had this against Eli Manning, since he actually had that draft because his dad went there and made that type of back, and if I think of Bronny, I'm having that same type of vibe too because, the expectations are so high for him and he didn't have the opportunity to prove that he's at that level. It's almost like we're going to give him this spot just because of his dad and then he develops under this spot.

Speaker 3:

That happens all over the world, Bobby, with people who own companies. They make spots for their kids and stuff like that, but not something where in my opinion.

Speaker 1:

It's like yo, this is strictly for money and business and marketing. That's the reason why they did this.

Speaker 3:

How many companies you worked at that, the owner and his son, whatever, is an idiot and works on the company, I know. But I'm just saying, though, lebron's an employee.

Speaker 4:

All is left to do in that Lakers organization listen to me is LeBron becoming the coach and fucking decides to come out and fucking play the game too.

Speaker 2:

I'm going to hear coach the Lakers.

Speaker 4:

And then if I say, yo, derusso, come out, I'm coming in. That is all that's left. That's not a lie, though. That's all that's left, no, I agree, it's crazy.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, the guy has too much yeah, and they say LeBron wasn't involved in the coaching. Oh whatever.

Speaker 4:

But shout out to the Ball family, because when his dad was there talking a lot of trash, he didn't say he already knew he was going to play For the Lakers. Yeah.

Speaker 3:

Alright.

Speaker 4:

He already talks to Mike, he goes Yo, the Lakers Are going to draft my son. This is what's going to happen, yada yada. And everything happened the same way.

Speaker 1:

He said it.

Speaker 4:

It's just business, baby. Yeah, it's just business. It doesn't matter. He knew his son Was going to make. It made him go to the pro, yeah, yeah definitely.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, he was a strong dad that kind of willed it. You know he's got two kids in nba.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, no, I mean yeah but they hurt the ball too, yeah yeah, he didn't make it, he didn't make it. No, he made it overseas, but at the end of the day he's yeah, you know they played college.

Speaker 3:

What do you say about his kids? Yeah, that's a good dad.

Speaker 1:

Being a dad is lebron out there hyping out his kid or is he? In the back room making those type of moves and we just take it out to him.

Speaker 3:

He's a puppet master. You're saying yeah, for sure.

Speaker 2:

Come on guys, that's exactly what he's doing Now, lebron was on the first tape talking about yeah my son can do this, he can do that.

Speaker 3:

Can we like, just be nice I feel bad for him.

Speaker 4:

I feel like it comes with a full package. It does.

Speaker 3:

But like this kid has done nothing man, yes, he has done a lot.

Speaker 4:

He has proven to me that you're LeBron's son. You're not able to fucking. Now it comes out to be that. Let's see if you're really worth capable of doing it, of doing it, yeah, and I'm like bro, you haven't proven nothing to me. I showed you guys on Instagram. There was a player that was better than fucking Facts LeBron. Yeah, at the same school, didn't get drafted.

Speaker 3:

He didn't get drafted. I did not get drafted I thought he was on the bench on a team.

Speaker 4:

Nothing On his team because LeBron was fucking started.

Speaker 3:

Okay, no, all right. Well, my bad. I thought he, yeah, that sucks, it is yeah you're right, but then again let's not kid ourselves guys. You are correct. It's not what you know, it's who you know You're going to pull every angle to get a job like even me.

Speaker 4:

And again I congratulate father-son. I'm happy for that. That is a moment history moment, yeah, for sure, I guess his dad is number nine and his son is six 69, 69, you boys all day, motherfuckers, freaky ass, that's their number.

Speaker 3:

Don't over note it.

Speaker 4:

That's wild, his son decided to get Number 9 just because he just wanted to be Reversed from 6. Oh man Look at him 69 boys. Let them take pictures Like this.

Speaker 1:

But I will say he's gonna carry this, whatever this is Right here, through his whole career.

Speaker 4:

I feel bad for the kid.

Speaker 3:

I feel bad for the kid Through his whole career Because there's a lot of Fucking pressure.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, it is Look at.

Speaker 3:

He knows there's a lot of pressure. You know what his name is? Right, his name is LeBron James Jr, but he goes by Bronny Because there's so much pressure With I feel bad, like you know. That's like.

Speaker 4:

I hope this is something that he wants. He wanted it. Let's see what he got. I hope he doesn't.

Speaker 3:

The kid goes by Brawny because he knows that it's so much pressure.

Speaker 1:

I know, but what I'm saying is I hope the family dynamic isn't pushing him to do something more than what he's ready to do.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 4:

Right.

Speaker 1:

That's the thing that is going to be weight that he's going to carry for a long time, and then it potentially could be trauma, and then that's a whole different story.

Speaker 4:

I guarantee you Lakers price tickets here in Miami is going to be way up just a second, this is going to be a

Speaker 1:

circus, especially if he's on the roster.

Speaker 3:

It sucks because I want to watch basketball, I want to win games, but this has become a circus. Yeah, yeah, it sucks.

Speaker 4:

Well, I mean they can talk about it in the podcast. Hopefully JJ and LeBron bond and figure that shit out. I wonder if they're talking podcasts, why are they coaching each?

Speaker 3:

other. There ain't no podcast going on. Should we talk about this in the podcast, but there is a podcast between them right. They're not doing it anymore. Oh, what a fucking coincidence. That's off the table.

Speaker 4:

Now it's off the table, ain't that some?

Speaker 1:

shit. Now they're going to do it behind closed doors, that's crazy.

Speaker 4:

Yeah but at the end of the day, what happens is I'm gonna be in Miami Uh huh Watching the Lakers play, uh huh. Right, I'm gonna be eating Some beautiful, marvelous fucking creations. Facts Cakes Pop the whole nine.
