Hi loves, welcome to the Journey to the Soul podcast. I am your host, jacinda Villa, a spiritual life coach and holistic health coach. Every week, we will be diving deep into all things purpose, wellness, spirituality and creating the life that you dream of. This space is meant to be safe and transformative for you to dive into the deepest parts of yourself. We will share what I have learned from my journey along this path years of research and mentors along the way. Having spent many years living life out of alignment and afraid to go after my dreams, I know first hand what it means to take the first step down, living a life authentic to you. Hello, beautiful souls, we are going to be diving into today the gift of what it is to have this physical body and to be able to experience life through our physical body. Nothing is more important than your health. If you are going through something, whether that's emotionally, physically, energetically, focusing on your healing and focusing on your health is something that is going to be so profoundly important. We cannot focus our energy or have energy the way that our soul intended to if our physical health is not in line. It is easier to preserve your health when you are younger, but it is never too late to start prioritizing your physical health. We get this one beautiful body to experience life with. We are a soul in a body, but we are on this physical plane and the fact that we get to experience this life through this body is an immense gift. We can strive and reach for other things in life and let it take priority over our health, but if we have neglected ourselves for years, the universe will eventually come and remind us of what it is to take care and truly honor ourselves. This can come in very profound ways, ways that can shake us and our world and reframe our priorities. The experiences that we do go through help us reframe our mindset, to appreciate our physical body more and more. It does so much for us every single day. It is divine. It is a gift to be able to experience the humanness of it all, even if it is only for a small blimp of time that we are here on this earth. Having a healthy and balanced body will allow you to have all the energy you need to go after all the things you want to achieve in this life to be all that you are meant to be in this life.

Speaker 1:

I feel like when we initially think of health or physical health, most people only focus on the exterior of what that looks like, our perception of that. But the exterior isn't necessarily something that we should be thriving for. When it comes to physical health, we should create other markers for ourselves, focusing on how we want to feel in our body, what our focus is like, what our energy level is like, how strong we are being a period if you're a woman, that is our fifth vital sign. Not being on any medications because you don't need them anymore. Being comfortable in your body, having the ability to walk and move around every day, being able to be mobile, chasing after your kids, being able to travel the world these are the markers that we should measure our physical health with. Having autonomy over your health.

Speaker 1:

The physical is merely a side effect of all of these other factors, all of these other things. Think of all the experiences you will get to go through in this body. We have so much life to live, so much to experience in this world, in this life, and this is the body that your soul chose for you to be able to do that, for you to be able to experience the beautifulness of all of this life. There is something in the yogic philosophy called Koshas, and Koshas help you connect more deeply with your mind, body and soul. They help you develop an awareness with these parts of yourself and how they are connected, and they are essentially layers that surround your body, and there are five Koshas and the outermost Koshas. So the outermost layer of our body is our physical body. So all of these Koshas are called bodies and the outermost layer is our physical body. Then we have our energetic body. That's a little bit more closer in our emotional body, our wisdom body and our bliss body. And our bliss body is like right at the center of our self.

Speaker 1:

And if you want to develop a deeper relationship with yourself, either emotionally, or touch into your divine wisdom, more, your energetic body or your bliss body, it starts with connecting with the physical, our most primal state, our most primal needs. We need to be okay physically in order to touch these other parts of ourselves, in order for us to feel into our soul, to feel into our emotions, to feel into how we are doing mentally. So they are all interrelated and when you visualize them. You can almost think of them as like a matryoshka doll. You know what matryoshka dolls are? But they're these little Russian dolls, wooden dolls. And there's the big one and you open it, and then there's a smaller one inside, and then you open it and there's another one, and you open it, and then there's another one. And this is essentially what our coaches are like. The most outer one is our physical body and the most inner one is our bliss body, but the outer one is the stepping stone for us to connect with all of these other parts of ourselves.

Speaker 1:

And if we want to transform an area of our life, if we want to heal something within us physically, if we want to work through any anxiety or depression or find a greater meaning of what our life should be like, which requires tapping into our wisdom, kosha then we need to make sure that we take care of the physical, the foundation of it all, which is our health, our physical health, your body, is a gift for you to experience this life. If you have been neglecting it for some time now, perhaps this episode is coming in divine timing for you, for you to really be able to observe and take note of how you have been treating it and what you can do to really be on the path of healing, to be on the path of living your healthiest life. And maybe not everyone is going through some grave thing physically, but maybe you just want to treat it a little bit better. Maybe you feel like you're already doing a good job and you make it a priority to focus on your physical health, but you just want to do that extra 1%, because that 1% means everything. Then I invite you to just notice where you can change that, where you can give yourself a little bit more love there, and really work with yourself and prioritize this, because it is truly so important for us to just live our life and enjoy this life that we get to experience every single day.

Speaker 1:

It's people that sometimes go through really extreme physical challenges that come out on the other side. You have so many people who unfortunately get diagnosed with cancer or an autoimmune disease or other things. That feels like their health has been robbed from them and they overcome them and health is something that they never take for granted again, because they realize how important it is to prioritize health and to take care of this one body. You know people who have a heart attack for the first time and decide to make all of these lifestyle changes because life flashes before your eyes and these are some very profound ways that it can happen. But it could also be you hitting a wall in your life and not having the energy that you used to have and the vitality towards your life that you used to have. It doesn't have to be this big and grand thing. You know, the universe will usually send us some signs before it needs to do something extravagant to grab our attention. But we're not always listening. And our bodies are always speaking to us, but for many people they have lost touch with that wisdom within themselves. They have forgot what their body sounds like, what it feels like, and the answer is always there. It always has wisdom to give us. It always has a message to share.

If you are listening to this episode, do something to nurture your beautiful body today. Do something that Allows you to prioritize on your physical health. That could be going for a walk outside. That could be cooking a meal at home and enjoying it, and allowing yourself to enjoy the nourishment of food. That could be Getting eight hours of sleep or more. If that's what you need. That could be not moving your body. If you feel like you tend to overdo it sometimes, your body will tell you what it needs. All right, my loves, I will see you in the next episode.

Wherever you are, wherever you are listening from um, allow yourself to love your body so deeply and let yourself celebrate it, because we only get one of these.
