Hi, loves, welcome to the Journey to the Soul podcast. I am your host, jacinda Villa, a spiritual life coach and holistic health coach. Every week, we will be diving deep into all things purpose, wellness, spirituality and creating the life that you dream of. I'm so excited to be here and be sharing this with you today.

It's actually been a few weeks since I sat down and recorded a podcast episode. I just got back from my trip to Italy. If you tuned in to last week's episode or the week before, you would have known that I was going to be in Europe for the last three weeks and we actually just got home last night and I was very eager to wake up and kind of share this message with you. So it's nice to be sitting here in my office again and being able to get on the mic and share a little bit. Today, and today's message actually came through to me this morning. I felt a deep urge of wanting to share this with you because I have been feeling a little bit more anxious than usual the last couple of weeks. While we were away, I felt just super heightened energy regarding certain things that I've been working through, like internally, and I feel like they just got a little bit louder this month and with us traveling and moving around and all the things that we needed to do while we were over there too, it kind of all felt a lot. So the last couple of weeks I've just been more anxious than usual and I have my ways of coming back to myself, you know, when I do feel anxious, when I don't feel like my best self, because we all have those moments. That is completely natural and part of our human experience. So I know that I created an episode that will be coming out or that already came out, actually, when you're listening to this about things that have helped me work through anxiety, because I have experienced anxiety for many, many years. So it just seemed like this month, regardless of what I was doing, I couldn't really get through those feelings, which was very odd for me, but I just needed to accept essentially that I just needed to be in that experience and allow myself to have more space and do the best I can. So I haven't felt like my best self this month and this morning.

Speaker 1:

I have my practice of writing every day, I do the morning pages and I sit down and write for about 20 minutes every day. Stream of consciousness, whatever comes to mind, and what came through to me today is not anything that hasn't come through before when I write, but I really wanted to share this with you because this is the backbone of truly living a life that is in alignment with you, of living a life of being connected to your highest self and being able to experience life in this heightened way and have little resistance and just flow through your day, because these things do exist. It is possible for us to live life in this way. The more that I have been able to put this into motion, the more I have been able to see just how potent and powerful these things are and what I'm going to share with you is what I'm calling my highest self manifesto, and this is me simply connecting to my highest self. It's me connecting to that version of me who isn't anxious and is grounded and is peaceful and doesn't feel overwhelmed by everything that she needs to do, and I have gained a lot of clarity about who this version is. Who is my highest self? And, if you've never heard this term before, your highest self is the highest version of you, the highest iteration of who you are, and perhaps you have some clarity about what some of those characteristics are for that version of you, and maybe you have never sat down to actually allow yourself to get clarity and guidance on who that is. And I encourage you, as you're listening to this, to really think about and tune into who that highest version of you is, and you don't need to know 100% right now as you're listening to this, because it does take time to get clear on who that version of you is.

Speaker 1:

I've been doing this work for a very long time and sometimes I still feel like, hmm, is that really how my highest self would be? Is that really the energy that she exudes in this particular situation? And you have to kind of feel it out, try it on for size, because sometimes we have a certain idea of who we think we want to be, for whatever reason. But it really needs to be to be for whatever reason, but it really needs to be true to you, it needs to be what is right for you and you intuitively know what this is. And I want to share what I was writing today with you because this is the backbone to really living in your highest frequency. It is absolutely amazing and magical what this can do for your life. It completely changed my life because I always felt like I could never be the highest version of me. When I would think of where I am now and who that version is, I always felt like there was a huge gap between those iterations of me and I didn't know how to become her. I didn't even know how to really tune into her. But this is the backbone of truly living your highest iteration of life. It is so profound. This is something that they should teach us at such a young age because it is so vital for us. It helps us have belief in ourselves, love ourselves, believe in the life that we want to lead. This is truly the foundation for so much in our life.

Speaker 1:

And as I woke up this morning feeling a little bit anxious and just thinking about all the things that I needed to do or wanted to do, having been away for three weeks, because I definitely have my spurts of when I want to do something, I want to do it, but sometimes it's also hard for me to have a little bit of patience with myself and it's very easy for the anxiety to just take over my life and completely inhibit me from even doing anything, from making a decision or fighting myself so much about it that I lose the energy to actually do anything. Has anyone else ever felt this way? I know I'm not alone and it's taken me years to get to the point where I am. And again, we are not perfect. I have been doing this for a good while and I woke up feeling like crap today and I had to make a decision for myself if this was going to be the energy that I want to be in the entire day. And I didn't want to, because I've been feeling it so heavily the last couple of weeks and I'm like, no, we're not doing this again. So I sat down and I wrote. I connected to this part of me and I know who this part of me is. I'm familiar with her. Some days I feel more connected to her than others, but that's okay. It's a lifelong process of being able to be in this frequency more and more. There's also the aspect that you are an ever-evolving being, so what you are trying to connect to now may be different than whatever you want to try to be and exude in the years to come. So I'm going to share my manifesto with you, this conversation that I had with myself today. I just need to move through my day as best as possible and do what needs to be done.

Speaker 1:

My future self doesn't get anxious. She knows it does nothing for her. She simply focuses her energy and moves through her day as best as possible, seeing where her energy takes her and what she feels inclined to focus on. She trusts herself and her intuition to guide her. Anxiety has no place in her life. She is rooted in her life. She is rooted in the moment, in peace, in intention. She has the time that she needs to do what she wants to do. This is me. I am her. I allow myself to be fully in the here and now working steadily towards what I set out to do. Today will be an incredible day because I chose to make it so. She doesn't get overwhelmed, she doesn't allow the overwhelm to inhibit her from doing. Action is the best way forward Doing something Moving in the general direction. I am her. I am driven and focused. I am divine. I am in touch with my femininity.

Speaker 1:

My highest self also knows that doing the best she can is the best she can do. She surrenders to the day and knows that it will be what is meant to. She will not obsess over what she has no control over. She breathes and tunes into where she is now. She just moves through her day with the best intentions, an open heart, unconditional trust in how everything is going. She trusts in the unfolding of her life. She is rooted in peace. It radiates from her. She lives in the frequency of love, joy, peace, abundance, gratitude. She wakes up every day knowing she will do the best she can today and that is enough. She will be an incredible human to all those around her, a guide, teacher, leader, partner, human to everyone and everything she can. She radiates love and immense confidence in herself, in what she is creating in this life. She knows every day will be different, her energy and needs may change, and she will honor that with an open heart.

Speaker 1:

She knows perfection doesn't exist and doesn't exist and doesn't expect perfection from herself or those around her. She knows that doing her best is the most important thing Learning from experience and getting better as you go. She chooses to be free to be all the wonderful things she came here to be to live with joy and levity. Every day she looks at herself with love and kindness. She follows her joy and curiosity in everything she does. She knows it's her red string of what she is meant to share in this lifetime. I am her, she is me. This is such a powerful practice and this is why I wanted to share it with you, because as I was writing this, I became that version of myself, a version that I know and I'm familiar with. But sometimes it may be hard to tune into her because of life, of what happens day to day. We're still growing, and for us to be in that frequency all the time may be harder because we are still learning how to be her. When I put the pen down, I felt no anxiety and I was completely clear on what I needed to do next and what my day was going to look like. It was like a light switched on and the heaviness that I had been experiencing when I woke up completely vanished. And this is what happens when we connect to the highest version of us.

Speaker 1:

I encourage you to write your own manifesto in your journal. Just take the time to really become clear on who that version of you is. What is she like? What is her energy like? Her interactions with people, her focus? What's important to her? What does she prioritize? How does she treat other people? How does she treat herself? Is she there for the people that she loves? Is she living life for herself? Really, get clear on this beautiful version of you, and what I wrote is what I need to hear and apply in my life. So much of this is where I'm still bringing love into my life, so where I'm still learning to grow and pour love for myself. These are my things to work through, essentially, and we all have our own things, and every day that I do this, this may be different, because I may need to be a slightly different version of her than I am today, but the core of who she is, the root of who she is is the same. She is. The root of who she is is the same. She's still rooted in the same values and the same frequency of how I choose to experience life.

Speaker 1:

And the incredible thing about this is that, even though we're still working towards becoming this version of ourself, if you do this exercise, you will notice a difference, and that is because, as you are going through this exercise in your mind, your mind will not know the difference between what is real and what is imagined. So what you are imagining is real in your mind, and it's the same with anxiety. Anxiety is a perception that exists within us. It is self-inflicted, it's because of our perspective of the world. But if we choose to change that perspective, that anxiety will shift. It can happen in a second, in a moment. The moment you choose to be here right now and just focus on where you are right now, and just focus on where you are, the anxiety will disappear.

Speaker 1:

And it's true with this exercise as well is that the moment that you choose to tune into this energy, that's the moment that you become her. You become this incredible version of you and move through your life with little to no resistance, with joy, with levity, with bliss, with abundance. And the key to all of this is that when you live your life in the energy of this version of you, of how you want to experience life, it will inevitably become who you become and that will manifest in your daily life, in your material world, in your daily life in your material world. But it starts by believing in ourselves and believing in this that we have the choice of becoming whoever we want to be in this life. Who do you want to be today?

Speaker 1:

At any moment in time, you can choose to be someone different, someone better, better than we were yesterday. And to me that is absolutely incredible, because we could become better versions of ourselves with every day that passes, with every day that we commit to tuning into this frequency, because this highest version of you sees things in a completely different way. They see possibilities that maybe the version of you now may not so clearly be able to see, which means that there's so many opportunities in life that you may not have been open to so many different things that you could do in this beautiful life. It changes everything. One choice changes everything. It's the butterfly effect, and choosing to connect to this energy every single day will be the 1% change that you need in your life to create incredible change. It's simply that 1% doing this now, doing this today. It's a simple thing that we can come back to.

Speaker 1:

You don't have to write it out every day, but I encourage you to write it out and really get clear, and maybe you read it every day. You read it every day in the morning and it's like putting on a hat and being okay, I'm ready to go for the day. It's like putting on your outfit for the day. This is who I'm choosing to be. This is how I'm choosing to move through the world.

Speaker 1:

I would love for you to allow yourself to really think about this version of you, and you have tuned into this version of you before. It's not like they're never available to us, because they're always there, but maybe you don't know how to tune into them on a regular basis or more, to tune into them more frequently. Maybe you're a little fuzzy on who is the best version of you. That okay. But as you take the time to do this, to write your own manifesto, really think about the beautiful being that you could be in this life, all the things you've thought about learning, maybe, and you haven't allowed yourself to learn. Maybe you wanted to learn another language, or learn how to cook, or be a better friend, whatever that is. The writing can help you gain clarity on that and when you do finish your manifesto, I would love for you to share it with me and to also share what writing that was like for you. How was that experience? What did you feel? What did you notice in your energy? And I'm excited for you all to dive into this and to really notice how it's going to change your life in the most beautiful way.
