In today’s episode, I’m talking to my amazing yoga teacher Rachel Littrell. Although very young, Rachel shows an incredible ability to lead her classes. Born in South Carolina and raised here in Maryville -TN, Rachel started practicing yoga when she was only 12. Since then, she has been on and off the mat her whole life. She went to UT right after High School but, not sure about her professional career ended up finishing her Associate of Applied Science degree at Pellissippi State. She returned to UT for her bachelor’s and master's in English and currently teaches Literature at Maryville College. Rachel was able to keep yoga in her life all along and started teaching at the age of 21. Now she challenges and inspires yogis at The Yoga Mix in Maryville and The Yoga Mix's new Lenoir City location. In our fun conversation, Rachel shares what yoga has taught her so far and how important her family and roots are to her wellness. Check it out!

Key Takeaways:
Approach everything curiously instead of allowing yourself to be downtrodden by something you can’t do yet;
It’s not because you don’t have it now that you cannot have it. You say I’m excited about what it takes for me to be able to do that;
Don’t set limitations on yourself, be open to the possibilities;
What you learn when you go through different stages in life is invaluable not only for yourself but, for other people who can come to you with similar problems. You never would have been able to help them if you hadn’t had a similar situation;
Give yourself the grace to not have the answer for every situation, it’s ok to say I don’t know.
