A Prayer for Peace

Dear God,

In this time of chaos and uncertainty, where divisions are high and fear runs rampant, We pray that you center us in your love, center us in your peace, center us in your hope. 

Do not allow despair or anxiety to disempower us. We pray instead that you give us the determination to do the things we can do to make the world a better place. 

In addition to the things we can do as individuals, help us together with like minded people do the things we can do together. 

In addition to the things we can do with likeminded people, let us be determined to find the things we can do with people who we seldom agree with to make a positive difference, no matter how small. 

Give us the hope and faith to believe the positive things that seem impossible to us today, will one day be possible, and the love to sustain us until they become reality. 

Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me and with us.
