If you’ve ever edited a podcast episode before, you know how time-consuming it can be. That’s why I wanted to share some things you can do and tools you can leverage to cut down on some of that time spent editing. This week, episode 18 of Successful Podcasting Unlocked answers the question: Why does editing a podcast take so long?

Have your own podcast questions? Head to SuccessfulPodcastingUnlocked.com to share them with us.

In this episode, I share:

  • Podcast editing is time-consuming, with the general rule being that editing takes about 4x the length of the raw audio.
  • When you make a mistake, pause and give yourself space to start over instead of stumbling through your words.
  • Consider using an outline to stay on track and avoid side tangents that don’t provide value.
  • Tools you can use to help edit and enhance your podcast audio, allowing you to cut down on time spent editing.

Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips, tricks, and advice as I answer all your podcasting questions. Thank you for listening!
