Speaker 1:

This is the Good Neighbor Podcast, the place where local businesses and neighbors come together. Here's your host, Liz Lemon.

Speaker 2:

Good afternoon. Welcome to the Good Neighbor Podcast. Are you in need of some realty services in your area? Surprisingly, it might be closer than you think. Today I have the pleasure of introducing your neighbor, Holly Fasoli, with LPT Realty. How are you doing today, Holly? I'm good. Liz, how are you Great? We're excited to learn all about you and your business. Tell us about LPT Realty.

Speaker 3:

Well, lpt Realty is out of Texas. It's a fairly young company it's about two years old and the owner, robert Palmer, started the company. He was big into marketing and saw the issue for the real estate and decided to start his own company. And what LPT stands for is listing power tools, and they have such amazing marketing for us to list our properties. It's just unbelievable. How did you get into the business? Well, I have a friend, jocelyn Maggi. She runs the Maggi Group, her and her husband, in Belchertown, and when I was getting ready to retire from my job at the Department of Corrections after 21 years, she thought it would be a good idea for me to pick up a little part-time job to keep me busy and to socialize, because I worked so much that I really didn't do a lot in town. So I went, took the course her husband teaches and then got my license in July of 2022.

Speaker 2:

That's fantastic Outside of work. What do you do?

Speaker 3:

for fun. Well, I like to go antiquing. I have a few friends that we both love the antiques and checking out new breweries, wineries, riding my bike. I do quite a few long bike rides, you know, for certain fundraisers and cancer and all that other stuff. So I like to stay busy in the summer with my flowers, yard work, going to the beach especially going to the beach.

Speaker 2:

For LPT Realty. What are the myths and misconceptions within that industry?

Speaker 3:

That it's easy work. I have a few friends that years ago were real estate agents and I always thought, wow, how hard could that be? But come to find out it's extremely hard. Some transactions are great, some are a nightmare, but you work hard for the money you earn.

Speaker 2:

That's important. Let's change gears just for one moment. Can you describe one hardship or life challenges that you rose above and can now say because of it you're better and stronger? What comes to?

Speaker 3:

mind. I think because I worked in the Department of Corrections for so long, my view of people was, you know, off balance, because I dealt with the worst and being having to socialize and meeting new people and just doing more for the community as a team. It's been challenging. You know, I was set in my ways for so long that now I have to learn a new way of talking to people.

Speaker 2:

What is the one thing you wish our listeners knew about LPT Realty?

Speaker 3:

That it is one of the best companies to work for. We had worked for a different brokerage and when my team leaders, joe and Jocelyn Maggi, decided to join LPT, everybody was so welcoming. It's just unbelievable the amount of support you get, the marketing tools. It's just a really great company. It's young, it's growing and it's fun to work for.

Speaker 2:
