Moving into episode 5, Pearson has been extradited from Biloxi Mississippi to Santa Clara, California and we are exploring the detailed timeline for his preliminary trial. We will discuss the witnesses and the key players involved in this preliminary trial.

Testimony from the main witnesses including the coroner, the family dentist, the FBI agent and neighbors that reveal the technical aspects of this case.
The coroner testifies what he discovered on the date in March 1974 and the questioning from the defense attorney about the coroners autopsy report.

What was special about this case that it went to trial so quickly?

"FBI Agent O'Neil asks " Are you James Arthur Pearson. .... Pearson says "I don't know who that is".  O'neil responds: I'll be taking you down to the station to verify who you are from your fingerprints to clear this up"...
