She want to see. I'll be drawing, I'll be drawing.

Speaker 4:

Yo man, that was Been a star Diamond Street King. Pray for them out now, man, I like that.

Speaker 1:

I like that what you was about to say, white boy.

Speaker 4:

He couldn't even wait For this shit. He was about to snap.

Speaker 3:

Cause it's like that's like one of the things that I like about him. Like, you know what I'm saying he, he, he remain and keep his authenticity. You know what I'm saying. He ain't like we just was talking about. He ain't really going with the wave.

Speaker 5:

He going to go with creating my own wave, his own Right.

Speaker 4:

Right.

Speaker 3:

And I like that you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

See, bro, a pair of men, like before. We got a little after this white boy going to do his little drum. But before we even start it, I want to tell you this like up here, bro, we recognize the, the that supposed to be recognized. Like I could sit up here and talk about your uh, your music, right, I could sit up here and talk about dream chasers and diamond street and beef and ops. I could do all that if I wanted to, bro. But we recognize shit, like he just said. You feel what I'm saying, like keeping authenticity and the way you move and shit like that. So I just want to say I commend you from that from the jump. I appreciate that you already know.

Speaker 2:

Man, white boy, talk to him Because we just played that song.

Speaker 5:

I want to know, like Diamond and the rough e and t. Yeah, uh, that's some I uh created 2018.

Speaker 4:

oh, we speeding, oh we speeding, yeah we speeding you know how? We do this, we get to that.

Speaker 1:

How we crazy how that pop up 2018? That's fucking right there. That was more than the 90s.

Speaker 3:

How the fuck, we get to 2018?.

Speaker 1:

All right take it back, white boy, that was crazy Go ahead, Take it back white boy.

Speaker 2:

I didn't even know it was going to go there, though, but go ahead. That was crazy.

Speaker 3:

So, king, at really the most, bro, like Broski just told you, like we do our due diligence here, we can talk about the bullshit, but that ain't us, we ain't on that. So we going to start, we going to start, like we going to start, we going to go back, we going to back, there we go, you know what I'm saying. So we started from Diamond Street, king, where you from, yeah from Diamond man 23rd.

Speaker 5:

23rd for the motherfuckers who don't know.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, for the niggas that's sleeping under that rock, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5:

We got to let them know North Philly, north.

Speaker 3:

Philly. 23rd and Diamond. Okay, so you know, growing up in North Philadelphia in the 90s, 99s, yeah, 99,. Early 2000s, yeah so, yeah, and that time give me, like some of your early influences coming out of North Philadelphia.

Speaker 5:

23rd and Diamond.

Speaker 3:

I'm talking about, like, see on here. That's why I'm telling you, bro, on here it's the relevant most, bro. So we already know that, like, the first influences in our life is never the rappers, bro, it's the people that's right either in our house or right outside our door.

Speaker 5:

No, no, I'm saying let's talk about that oh yeah, like my influences like growing up it was just like for real, for I really looked up the mom dukes. You feel me for holding it down, you feel?

Speaker 1:

me like I wasn't around type shit.

Speaker 5:

So like just seeing mom like struggle, like that you feel me, just made me want to go hard type shit. So that's what really got me into this shit. Like you, feel me Okay, mom Dukes.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, I feel that. I feel that so, with Mom Dukes as your early influence and like that's like put the motivation up under you to do this.

Speaker 5:

Put the hustle in me. You know what I'm saying, right, like? I'm talking about music. I'm talking about like he made me, want to just get off my feet. You feel me?

Speaker 3:

Right Help out.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, type shit.

Speaker 3:

No, I can feel that. So, like you know her being your earliest influence, you know what were some of the things that was Musically.

Speaker 5:

Shit, there wasn't really much music shit going on back then. You feel me Like that shit came out of nowhere, bro. I wasn't doing music my whole life, right? That shit came about like I was 17 when I put my first record out. You feel what I'm saying?

Speaker 3:

Okay.

Speaker 5:

That came out of my later on like teenage life.

Speaker 3:

Growing up.

Speaker 5:

It wasn't music, though. You know regular project shit.

Speaker 4:

Right, growing up, I'm 24 right now. Right, yeah, I'm 25. 25.

Speaker 5:

My birthday is May 15th. Happy belated my nigga I dropped on my birthday. That's what's up, yeah that's what's up?

Speaker 1:

Yeah, happy belated.

Speaker 2:

I like that. I like that.

Speaker 3:

I like that.

Speaker 2:

Run it down, man.

Speaker 4:

Y'all think it's funny Yo look at him he be, tapping them.

Speaker 3:

Tap the nail. That was awesome.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, he tapped the nail. I like that. I like that that was crazy.

Speaker 1:

I like that I do. That was epic right there.

Speaker 3:

So you know you said 17. That's when you put your first record out.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, fire.

Speaker 3:

So bring me back to that moment.

Speaker 5:

Shit, my homie Sadi was making music and shit. So when he passed I had made a song and I like put his name in it you feel me Right. So like I like put a little freestyle on Instagram and shit, and everybody was like commenting Like yo go to the studio, you feel me? So I go to the lab and I made Mad Scar freestyle and that's on call legend freestyle. If I mean, I dropped mask off, freestyle, freeze, right, I get booked for a sweet 16. Three days later you comes in, so that's what I knew.

Speaker 4:

That was crazy. He tried.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, roland. Oh, I'll see so be. Oh, it was at the let out.

Speaker 4:

You rolling though, yeah, on C2B.

Speaker 5:

Yeah on C2B.

Speaker 2:

But what was the reaction? Hold on Three day reaction.

Speaker 3:

That's crazy. So the first time you recorded, you recorded them two songs. The first time, yeah, three days after you recorded that, you got booked for a sweet 16.

Speaker 5:

No, After I put Mask Off, one song yeah.

Speaker 1:

One song no I dropped Mask Off.

Speaker 5:

Freestyle On SoundCloud.

Speaker 1:

Okay.

Speaker 4:

One, not two, yeah.

Speaker 5:

I dropped.

Speaker 1:

Mask Off.

Speaker 5:

Freestyle first, and then I got booked for Sweet 16. You know what I'm saying. So I just I did so many Sweet 16's, but I ain't going to lie, that shit was real.

Speaker 4:

You did a lot of Sweet 16's. I've never heard no.

Speaker 5:

Look, I was 17 when I put my first joint on, so you feel me, yeah, yeah yeah, you know what I mean. Like 16, 17, 18. Like that's the age Like damn, I was a kid when I put my first shit out.

Speaker 3:

So you basically blew up like off of SoundCloud, like as soon as you put Mask Out yeah, soundcloud.

Speaker 5:

Like I got millions and like millions of like views on SoundCloud. Like SoundCloud, my biggest like streaming platform.

Speaker 4:

Like Right, all right, look. So I want to say something, right, y'all see this shit on my arm. I'm from Germantown.

Speaker 1:

I'm from.

Speaker 4:

Germantown. But if you really know Cash then you know I came up under Bob and them. Like 24 for Norris, my whole family from 24 for Norris. I got a brother from Gregg Street, 18 from Oxford, my whole family from 24 for Norris, like Bob, marty, all of them. I went to school with Sammy, the twins, all of them. When I was coming up around.

Speaker 4:

That time HSR was like the biggest shit in the world. Yes, sir, headshot Records. Yes, shout out to Bob. Like we thought Joey Jahan and Meek and all them was just as big as 50 Cent and all them. And North and North. It just was in North for some reason. Like that's just how it was. Like you feel me. So I had to say that before I start asking questions because, like I went to Frederick Douglas and William Dick, william Dick, smack dab on your block, like, feel me on your block, like, feel me. So I had to just insert that in because that's going to be a a lot of like. Why my questions hitting from certain angles, like they might ask you regular, like basic questions or questions they think and then I might say some shit like such and such rapper influenced you because I was around at that time you feel me so. With that being said, um, all right. Was Headshot Records like a big influence on your block and why a lot of people from your block make music?

Speaker 5:

I ain't gonna say it's like because of Headshot Records, but like back then. Yeah, if I'm saying now like we didn't rap, like battle, but back then yeah you feel what I'm saying. But now we didn't rap, we don't battle rap. You feel me? We make real music. Now you feel what I'm saying. Back then it was battle rapping. We had K-West J-Rock and them.

Speaker 1:

You feel what I'm saying.

Speaker 5:

They was definitely a part of the Headshot era. You feel me, but that wasn't an era.

Speaker 4:

I was watching and was my right hand, right, yeah, and I got enough brother named bro. Guess who his right hand was. Just guess Pike was my rain. It's somebody from your neighborhood who passed. Guess who it was my brother. Right here we used to go get get out the Comcast Center after-school program and we used to go to Jetson and no.

Speaker 4:

BL, that was right here, only BL, that was, bro, right here and and that shit crazy. The only reason I just brought that up because, like when I be like having certain debates about, like like we had had debates about rappers and da, da, da, da, da, and I just say certain stuff, bro, these people really think I'm just talking like no, I really wasn't around that shit, bro, like when all D Jones and all that we was around that shit bro, you get to get that shit off right now. Yeah, bro, I was going to school, bro, getting out Corner 24, fenors, bottom block, big ass crowd. You go through the crowd, bro, it's Hattie spitting or something. I was really around that shit bro. So shout out to everybody from that era, but yeah.

Speaker 4:

I had to ask you the head shots, john, because that's like no Bob that's my old head.

Speaker 5:

Yeah, yeah, that's we still talk to this day and shit. You know what?

Speaker 4:

I'm saying yeah, I'm really related to Bob.

Speaker 5:

I was making music, so that didn't really like influence me yeah, yeah, because your shit was later I used to fuck with it like and H was my favorite, like my favorite band member, mine's too, I was definitely tapped in, though I used to fuck with that shit, but I wasn't rapping back then. Okay, so y'all took it back and you said that your mom influenced you to get up off your ass Like hustling and all that, like start making some money, I'm sure later All right.

Speaker 2:

So what was the transition into the music?

Speaker 5:

Uh, shit, uh, I really uh, broke it down for real, like dropping the ass off. Yeah, yeah, when that man Scarf hold you on. That was a transition right there.

Speaker 2:

Oh yeah yeah.

Speaker 4:

No, but like transition as in. Like when did you know you didn't want to do this and wanted to do music?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, what gave you that idea to even get in the studio?

Speaker 5:

Remember I told you like, oh yeah, we tweaking you did.

Speaker 2:

Rest in peace you did, you, did, you broke it all the way down.

Speaker 4:

My fault bro.

Speaker 2:

You went too fast. That's what it was. He was like, uh, he got it out the way, all right, yeah, we getting it out the way.

Speaker 3:

Okay, so okay, you dropping on.

Speaker 3:

SoundCloud and basically blowing up overnight because you got booked three days later to do a Sweet 16. Okay, right there in that moment, right, when you get booked for the first Sweet 16, right, and you know, I just recorded this song, it's not even my beat right, like, like, what's your thought process? And going into your next because, all right, I now I know you, I know now you thinking like, all right, I can't use another future beat, I gotta like, get my own beat, like you know what I'm saying, and put this shit out there you go, white boy yeah.

Speaker 3:

Give me, when you did that in that moment, shit Good question.

Speaker 5:

After I did that Mask Off shit, I went into my first video, the first music video I put out called Usain Bolt. That's what really took me. I ain't going to lie.

Speaker 3:

It was a banger Super banger. That's what I mean Super banger.

Speaker 5:

And they check me up when I drop that they like yo, this is my favorite song, bro. So me and him, we connected ever since.

Speaker 3:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

So shit like that Freeway hit me up when I dropped that.

Speaker 1:

All the goats hit me up.

Speaker 5:

You feel me, so I'm like man. You feel me, I'm a kid still, so.

Speaker 1:

I'm like Damn.

Speaker 5:

It's crazy. All the goats hit me up. I gotta be, doing something Right. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, i'ma say, when you drop Usain Bolt, I would say that's probably like when the world Poured on. Yeah, yeah, that's like.

Speaker 4:

One of them. My favorite song by you. My favorite song by you Is Keep it down. Keep it down. Keep it down, bro. That's my shit. That's my shit. Bro, Listen, bro. My brother Fetty died, bro. Rest in peace. My brother Fetty died, bro you seen that shit.

Speaker 2:

Fuck, was that a bird?

Speaker 3:

No, it was the drone.

Speaker 2:

It got up in red. Yeah, it was the drone that was running around.

Speaker 5:

It was a spirit Bro.

Speaker 4:

If we wasn't doing the pod bro. If we wasn't doing the pod bro, no bullshit. I FaceTime my brother right now and I ask him, like yo bro, like when we think of Fetty passing in a good time, what song we he'll be like bro? Yeah, go on SoundCloud, keep it down.

Speaker 5:

Every time I put all I put all my brothers on that joint and all that. That's great. The nigga Trell told me earlier bro. He said I ain't gonna lie. I told him I'm like damn me. Earlier bro, he said I ain't gonna lie. I told him I'm like damn you don't with the new bro.

Speaker 4:

He said, no, I the new.

Speaker 5:

But like keep it down. Keep it down like steve that shit he said like I'll be doing my guys like little ranger and all I'm like man, I really love that song.

Speaker 4:

like that's one song. Who that's? That's one song. That's really like you know how people got that that joint and U Deke 19. Combined that shit. Yeah, those was the two joints that you had out when I really was like, yeah, I didn't even put that on all platforms, I just put that shit on.

Speaker 5:

You didn't put Keep it Down on there neither, right yeah no, Keep it Down on it's, only on Apple Music and shit.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah. So let me ask you no, I don't think, keep it Down on there. No, it ain't ask you this question right before we get all musicy and all that, because that's where it's gonna go to your music artist so that's what we're gonna talk about it is, though, but like you know how, you just got that one, that one chick. You just can't like stop messing with no matter what right yeah, that's what we're talking about.

Speaker 4:

Why do? Why is north philly niggas like that, about North Like why? Why like? North is just so like I'm from.

Speaker 1:

North.

Speaker 4:

Like that shit just come with a certain stigma, like North just is superior to y'all.

Speaker 5:

The bitches put that on us. Like, you know what I'm saying. Like they made it like that, like the bitches start craving it. Yeah, Like they the ones who really like be you, feel me the bitches start craving it.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah, like they, the ones who really like be you feel me Like a nigga getting in a fight. You tripping. I'm from North.

Speaker 1:

Speaker 4:

they start saying that Ew Niggas be like you tripping nigga. I'm from North, so what the fuck?

Speaker 2:

Speaker 4:

Most definitely they don't be saying that. No, no, bullshit.

Speaker 3:

Yo y'all niggas out.

Speaker 5:

Get the fuck out of talking about one another come on, bro, we're the only ones who really outside for real. Still, you know what I'm saying. Throughout all the we saw all the time come on, bro, like come on where

Speaker 1:

Speaker 5:

Speaker 1:

Speaker 4:

I went to school with None of them niggas going to know who I am. I'm fat now and all that.

Speaker 1:

I got to get

Speaker 3:

the fuck up out of here, all right. So look, so I gotta get the fuck about it, all right, so look, so look, you dropping all the music, all the music on SoundCloud at the time and it's actually like blowing up, like you actually getting like millions and millions of listeners and shit like that. Usain Bolt, a big joint, you dropped. Okay like where is it? Like, where do it come in your head? Like, all right, I might no, I can transition my life and maybe like help my family out with this music shit.

Speaker 3:

Great question what music like what song? What song was like where you at when that came about in your career?

Speaker 5:

Damn, that's a good question. All right, look right. So Usain Bolt was one of the ones that like got, got me all my fans and shit. You feel me Right?

Speaker 5:

And then I put out a joint called the World Is Ours. You feel me? That shit went crazy. I performed that shit at venues and all that, like the Fillmore, like the whole crowd rapping. It was an unreleased song. I'm like damn, the whole crowd rapping that shit. So that's what made me like all right, bet, it's really going crazy. Now, you feel me Right? So then I'm cooking and shit like that. I put a song out called Sue Young.

Speaker 3:

Oh yeah, that shit was the win man, that's the one that changed everything, and you see what I?

Speaker 5:

mean Cuz reached out.

Speaker 3:

That's crazy, because you see how we talking, we basically just talking, we running through your catalog, but you got pinnacles inside of your catalog. Yeah, now I'm saying inside of your catalog because I remember sue young too yeah, that's the one, and that was big big, big.

Speaker 3:

So like okay, would you strike and sue young and you getting all the notoriety and recognition. And like that you get people like cuz reach out to you and uh, you know other, uh, uh, known rappers and things like that. Like now I'm almost certain, like all right, it's deals on the table now.

Speaker 5:

Yeah.

Speaker 3:

All right, now it's time for me to get my business together. Most definitely so that now take me there, uh shit for real.

Speaker 5:

Take me there shift ro, for I really got my like business together like 2018. Before I signed this shit, like okay, I had got a record label, I started my own shit called. Domino okay, here we go right now, so crazy like I ain't do nothing. I got all the people like around is like ready to just go crazy with, but I ain't never like like put it like pressure.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, that's right but that's ready to just go crazy with.

Speaker 5:

But I ain't never put the pressure into that shit. Get that shit right, but that shit's still active. It's a real LLC. 2018 is when I really started getting my business right. In 2019, I was more moving professional doing shows Then. That's when I signed my deal in 2019.

Speaker 4:

Who are you signing to?

Speaker 5:

I signed with Dream Chasers. I signed with Cubs Shout out to.

Speaker 4:

Cubs, you still with them, right? Yeah, I'm still with Cubs.

Speaker 5:

Oh okay, I'm independent, though but I'm like Dream Chasers is like my business partner.

Speaker 4:

I already know. I already know it's like my business partner. So yo, that's crazy, because like, let me tell you how ill bro is. Right, everybody think that should see dream cheese, that should see diamond street. When I peeped in I'm like bro, that's hard, right, that's just a diamond. He said he put an s on that. Like that's hard bro. I heard the said gene. I thought you mean because you had the uh snap the dc jaw. So I thought it was the DC John.

You know what I'm saying. Don't let them tell you that they wouldn't. They don't want to be in your position.

Speaker 4:

These sucker ass niggas got so much shit to say about cuz or what.

Speaker 1:

This got going on, that got going on.

Speaker 3:

See it louder you know what I'm saying. Right, you were still you through all the nonsense. Hear, say, is you really signed this, that? And the third, because I know you hear it it's philly, so I know you hear the nut shit too. You was still able to remain Authentic Through everything you know what I'm saying and still stand on your joints. I still Still putting out great music, still putting up numbers, and you still signed.

Speaker 4:

And you, and can I go off that? No sure you want me to, you want me to. I told Pike this you want me to Tell you when I knew you was different. Bro, it don't got nothing to do with music.

Speaker 3:

Why? Because they had a bin fed in Like a nut nigga you know what I'm saying Easily influenced niggas in the air and shit with a bin fed in.

Speaker 4:

No.

Speaker 3:

Saying something about you feel me.

Speaker 4:

Just anything. This is when I knew Keen was a different type of young nigga right.

Speaker 3:

Y'all feel what I'm saying, though, right Y'all with me.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3:

I just wanted to make sure, though, you want a cookie nigga. Nigga, I just want to make sure this nigga crazy man, that's all.

Speaker 4:

That's my dog. Yo, you want me to tell you when I knew you was different, though, bro, I talked to bro about this. Right when, because, like penalty, that's your man, right, yeah, still right, yeah, all right. So boom right. When I knew you was different is when because and your man went through they little shit you feel me. Couple years ago and forward, fast forward to this day, you still got a relationship with both of them.

Speaker 4:

That shows character, bro, cause I'm telling you bro it could've been a I'ma tell you something Keen, real shit. It could've went two ways. If you wasn't a different type, nigga one, run the cars fuck my hood, fuck my, yeah this. If you wasn't a different type, nigga One, run the cuss. Fuck my hood, fuck my, yeah this. I'm with them, I'm about to get rich, I'm about to yeah, fuck all that, zeus, you could have did that, or two, you could have been like fuck cuss and I'm riding with my hood. Fuck all that hood. I'm riding my hood.

Speaker 4:

Fuck all that. It I'm riding my hood. Fuck all that it could A nigga who not sturdy it could've went Both of them ways, bro, like, like people don't know how to like. Really like, damn, this my homie and that's my homie.

Speaker 1:

And.

Speaker 4:

I don't even agree With neither one of them. I think both of them On some of that shit For real, for real Cause we all Supposed to be one. Whatever, whatever, I don't know the details or nothing, but fast forward to 2024, you got a relationship with both of them, bro, and that says a lot about your character and and and going off of that, like how did you I want, I want you to tell people so other people could get on your type time if they go through something like how did you handle that situation without?

Speaker 5:

like you can't get into when your dog's beefing. You know what I'm saying. Like you know, like that's your boy, right? Absolutely like say them to get into it like that's your boy too you can't just like jump on his side like yo fuck you got the lighter them niggas, gotta be men and resolve that shit. You know what I I'm saying.

Speaker 3:

You still got it. Yeah, you got it.

Speaker 2:

Oh there's another one.

Speaker 5:

You just gotta mind your business. You know what I'm saying, especially if it ain't no nothing serious you know what?

Speaker 4:

I'm saying yeah If it ain't no serious shit.

Speaker 5:

You just gotta mind your business and let niggas handle that shit.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, we all grown, men you know what?

Speaker 3:

I'm saying yeah, and I, and I, and I, because I think it's just like see, like in philly, right, we got this jaunt of like we be thorough too much I'm saying like sometimes we be so thorough like we might, we we won't, we don't even hit our full potential because we too thorough, like I'm saying, and that that that's when, right there, when you was thorough and was right, like you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2:

It's the real of the most podcast.

Speaker 4:

Make sure you like, subscribe, comment, share, If you don't use a fucking hater because it's free.

Speaker 4:

I ain't going to hold you bro. Like they'll tell you, bro, I'm a music head. Like when they come to my city too, niggas be trying to be all thorough. Oh no, I be all thorough. Oh no. Like I embrace people, I keep it a bean. I'm going to keep it a bean. When that situation happened, not even with them two, it was like niggas from my block. When that situation happened between cuz and your man, I'm like damn, that's going to draw on King bro, because I know Reddy.

Speaker 4:

That shit definitely like put me in a weird position. Listen, bro, it was. It's some stuff that I peeped when it was going on. I peeped you was like leaning, but you was like Nah, and then a diamond, like you already Was your own man Before All of it yeah, so Everything. Yeah, like so.

Speaker 5:

My whole block Backing me.

Speaker 4:

Exactly, exactly.

Speaker 5:

It's like whoever with me, with me, you feel me, yeah, against me, yeah.

Speaker 4:

I used to be on Allegheny on some you know doing no good shit, and I used to run into Reddy a lot. Reddy shout out, shout out Rock. I used to run into Reddy a lot, right Like. He basically told me like, if I'm not mistaken, like y'all hooked up with Cuz, you and Swaggy Hino got some type of joint with Cuz through him right.

Speaker 5:

You know he was managing me. Yeah, yeah, I bet that's what's up. Shout out Rodney Rock Shout out Rod.

Speaker 4:

man Shout out Rodney.

Speaker 5:

Like when Dream Chaser reached out and you know they said I couldn't like sign without a manager. I had no management. So I had to make some management and you know rock was my old head because with me he running around with cuz already he like cuz role manager.

Speaker 5:

You feel me so it was, I just put him at you feel me yeah for him as management so so, so, when, um, but the whole time, like it really was like this, it was just like my og for real, like filming, we ain't really like like managed, like you know what I'm saying like yeah y'all know he managed producers for real. Like he never really managed the artist yeah, okay, he really was like swag manager for real right so, so he's just more like my role manager type.

Speaker 4:

So you mean you in the hood, you dropping? What was that song, bro? What was that song when, like it was, like on some Cops, brutality, black 12, shit was fire, bro, like.

Speaker 5:

I ain't gonna. That shit was in the kite magazine that shit, fire bro, real rap.

Speaker 4:

And I thought you was going to lean towards that side Some more, but you kind of like got back to your and that's cool too.

Speaker 5:

I really be like making everything. I got everything in the archive I just be like dropping. I post little snippets just to see what the fans want. Whatever they react to the most, I put that shit out.

Speaker 4:

So Meek on the jet or the plane, whatever he on there with the homies blasting Su Young, yeah Me put it on the gram.

Speaker 5:

Tag me and shit.

Speaker 4:

Tag you. What was your thoughts and your feelings from there?

Speaker 5:

Shit. I'm in the trenches so I'm like damn, that's crazy. Like these niggas fuck all my shit, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

So I'm like I knew something was about to pop off. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, right.

Speaker 5:

I just knew something was about to pop off. When all the biggest motherfuckers in our city fucking with me, I'm like all right bet.

Speaker 3:

Something bound to swagging is through every day, still just working, like you know what I'm saying. So so look what you doing, everything that you've been doing right, and you, because you've been, you've been cooking for a minute, I'm sitting here in my brain going through your whole bop and that's what I said, like as I think about your catalog. It catalog, it's monuments in these songs, even in your career.

Speaker 1:

Give me.

Speaker 3:

How is it to maintain your artistry in this shit, though? You know what I mean, because we sitting here talking about how thorough you are, how you keep your character, how you maintain these songs and maintain your, uh, your image, height. You know I'm saying and this shit and that's not easy to do so like just give me, like how you like keep, keep your, uh, your mind and your body and everything else intact for you to like attack this shit uh, for real, for real.

Speaker 5:

You just gotta really just like just believe in yourself. If I'm saying, you just gotta really just like just believe in yourself, you know what I'm saying. You just gotta know, like that, like everything will be straight. You know what I'm saying. You gotta like tell yourself that you know what I'm saying, because when you worry. You know like when you put like bad energy out, you're gonna get bad energy. You feel me? So I try to just put like all positive energy out. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 5:

And as far as the artistry part, I really just like that. Shit come easy. You know I don't write no music, so everything be off the top.

Speaker 3:

You know that's crazy, I really just punch in, punch in, punch in. I just asked you some studio questions. Yeah, like what's your recording process, like how fast you record? Yeah, it depends.

Speaker 5:

Because sometimes I make a song like if it's like Suyoung, I made that song for like 20 minutes, right you? Feel me Just punching in, running down on that junk. Drop that shit. The same day you feel what I'm saying. Then it's like songs where it's like Hold up, I start.

Speaker 3:

You made Su Young in 20 minutes and you dropped it.

Speaker 5:

the same day. Yeah, as a cover art down cloud, but you'll be right the way you say that shit, bro.

Speaker 3:

You say it like it just be like easy to do, bro, it is bro, like it's really that easy if I'm saying you just gotta do it.

Speaker 5:

Like you know, I got my own equipment in the crib now. So like, like, like, a lot of the projects you've been hearing have been all me, like I've been recording that shit you've been recording yourself.

Speaker 3:

Recording myself, yes, since 2020.

Speaker 2:

I've been recording myself, so like wow a lot of shit y'all been hearing from me Speaking on that, like do you have any, like you face any music challenges, like in business-wise?

Speaker 5:

Like as far as what.

Speaker 2:

Like I say, like I don't know, like I guess booking or getting a big feature or I don't know, is it like kind of harder being like independent, you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 5:

No, not really like. You feel me Like because for real. For real is like like relationships work more than money in this shit you know what I'm saying like I got a lot of like friendships in the music, like business. You know what I'm saying. So it was like like the resources from that shit, like already like that is the money right there like shit that, like money, can't even pay for. You know what I'm saying? I got those type of resources around me all right.

Speaker 2:

So, with that being said, yeah, who you looking forward To working with right now?

Speaker 5:

Right now, who I really wanna work with Is, like, probably Future. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

I can see that I can see that Me and Pluto Cook some shit.

Speaker 5:

Probably Dirk and G Herbo. You know what I'm saying. Cook some shit with them, niggas.

Speaker 1:

Fire, I ain't gonna lie.

Speaker 2:

I got this record.

Speaker 5:

I wanna get boss man. I'm gonna talk to cuz about it.

Speaker 2:

He been tearing the streets the fuck up. I'm not gonna lie, he been tearing, we gonna tell him Nah.

Speaker 4:

Me ain't gotta Me, ain't gotta tell him nothing.

Speaker 3:

Yo tap in cousin Tap in or else Real right Real right, come holla at us, we gonna get it done.

Speaker 2:

It's the really the most podcast man.

Speaker 4:

So look right, alright, man Akeem, you know this really the most man. So you know we gotta, we gotta switch gears for a second, bro, like Um, unfortunately, um, we're in Philadelphia, pa. Like, unfortunately, we're in Philadelphia, pa, one of the worst cities in the world. We grew up Under poverty, section 8, crack, drugs, perks, everything. We grew up, unfortunately, under these circumstances that turn.

Speaker 4:

You know black young young men. You know violent, angry all the time, um, single-parent households. You know I'm saying the whole nine. You feel me, unfortunately, because of that, we uh go through. You know we fighting with each other out here. You feel I'm saying we already gotta face the cops, they already a gang towards us and now we we killing each other and we hurting each other and it's and it's sad, and I had to break it down like that before I asked you these questions, because I'm never on the side, like Adam 22 type shit.

Speaker 4:

You feel what I'm saying, like when I ask these type questions it's really because motherfuckers care up here. You know what I'm saying. And every time somebody come up here that is in the same predicament as you, I ask them like two or three questions and we move on. So this is the first thing I want to ask you right, yeah, um, we ain't gotta say no, no, fallen soldier's name, if you, if you ain't living under a rock, you know what's going on out here. How do you handle like? How do you handle like, being people's enemy and you damn near like a superstar in Philly, like, you still want to go to your projects and be outside. You want to go to this show, not having to have five secure, you feel me, because look right.

Speaker 5:

Okay, go ahead. I'm going to bring it down to you the most simplest way for it. You know what I'm saying it's like, any weapon formed against me will not prosper. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

Just like that type of shit, just like that, simple, simple and okay, I like that, I really do. And, um, I ask everybody On here, this Everybody- you don't believe me?

Speaker 4:

You can go to my old interviews Anybody that I do my homework on or I knew already, and they come up here. I ask them this Do you think, in any shape or form any shape or form, no matter how it happen do you think that it will ever be a time where people could squash stuff Like in your generation not maybe when I'm gone and I'm like, no, you and the people you roll with in your neighborhood. Do you think it's a chance?

Speaker 5:

oh, like you know how that should be is like feel me like one day, hopefully it happens, but I don't know bro.

Speaker 4:

So you saying one day, hopefully it happened.

Speaker 5:

So you, you, you push for that yeah, yeah, like everybody do you feel me. We all grown up. You feel me Like everybody, like motherfuckers got kids, all types of shit.

Speaker 4:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

It's like for real, for real Respect that. One day you feel what I'm saying. If that shit happen, it happen, but if it don't, you just got to like stay moving. How you moving? You feel what I'm saying? Just that's all.

Speaker 4:

So one more White Boy, my bad.

Speaker 2:

Talk.

Speaker 4:

So when Cuz tweeted what he tweeted about signing people with these squads beef- Damn. Shout out to Cuz, shout out to Meek, shout out Dream Chasers, all that, but when he tweeted that, you know, some people in your squad felt the way about it. We ain't hear a Diamond street king response, though that's the type of stuff I'll be talking about when I say you ain't with the gimmicks and you stay in your lane, but can you tell us, on the pie, what was your thoughts when you tweeted?

Speaker 5:

it saying like I'm trying like help like a lot of the young niggas out. From saying like, stop all that dumbass like shit. I'm saying like all that internet like shit, like self incriminating shit. From saying like this, fall back on that, I'm get y'all some money for me, right? Yeah, that's really like what he really meant, like he not saying fuck niggas day, homies, because that shit ain't gonna never be there for me, right?

Speaker 5:

yeah and niggas like it like if you were real street nigga. You know, like what's up in the streets Gonna be in the streets you know what I'm saying, like no matter if you like, doing business, like, for instance, right, like, for instance, right Motherfuckers, like Quavo and Lil Baby, and them. They had a situation. They both funded the same label.

Speaker 4:

You know what I'm trying to say?

Speaker 5:

Yeah, it's like On the get money type time, like if you gonna handle the street shit. You know what I'm saying, Like everybody want to be big bad woofs and all that. So it just went less like that. But he really was saying like I'm trying to help some young niggas get some money you feel me and I ain't going to hold you.

Speaker 4:

I'm going to just say this and, like boy, you got it. Like I asked a lot of people that and there have been a lot of people on here that I asked that but the the reason why is you and another rapper I ain't going to say his name, but y'all two opinions really matter when I ask that question, bro. Like I said, bro, I went to school on William Dick, I went to school on 24th and Diamond Hank Gatherer Centenary Day. You feel me? Arlington Street, Soul City, bro, everybody that I recognize from going to school and being there, they behind you. Bro, like you really got a whole. Bro, I be asking people do they know what the back? I just ask them do he know what the backfield is? What you say, no, that's all I'm saying. Bro, you really got your own. People don't even dig it's diamond in there. And then you got the whole.

Speaker 5:

Bro you really got some people Depending on you, bro Diamond. Like our own city for real.

Speaker 4:

Yeah, I know, that was the point I was making, bro, there's so many little sections back there Exactly.

Speaker 4:

Like, bro, you know how it's diamond, when you go back, it's all these Fucking that shit. Go all the way to Susquehanna Ave Like it's all these little, that's his shit, like that's where he from and everybody back there backing him. It's like a little ass village, bro, like niggas be thinking diamond. And then you go back, it's just that gnaw, you keep walking. Am I lying, bro? It's all these little. It's a park, a playground, all behind Diamond, bro, all behind it. So that's why I was saying like all them little kids and all that who be running around, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4:

I was down there and I seen it, I seen how they was running to you and all that, bro, all that, love man, I just want to tell you, bro, you bro, you personally, you. You can't do nothing with this gang and this group and all that. But you personally, diamond, in the rough diamond street, king pint, quiet on. You all like on a different type time than me, like you feel me, y'all in a different type time than me, y'all not Doing what these Other dudes doing out here, not even on the internet, in person or nothing, cause like no, where shit.

Speaker 5:

It's like what a lot of these Rappers doing. They doing what we been doing already. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1:

What shit we been doing you feel what I'm saying.

Speaker 5:

So it's like we on some hoe. That's why you, you feel me. Yeah, niggas been outside Like no bullshit. We didn't damn near Chase the whole city.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 5:

Everybody was like Scared of us as kids.

Speaker 1:

Like nowhere.

Speaker 5:

Like nowhere, like that type of time we been, like outside. You feel me, we been, you feel me. We, just we been always outside, so it was just like yeah, boy white we had.

Speaker 3:

We had old block up here and I had told him the same shit and that's what I'd be saying. What I'd be saying and why it's so important for y'all to actually sit down and have these conversations with us, because I'd be wanting to show the world that y'all not who y'all depicted to be Y'all actually a lot smarter, Intelligent, A lot way more intelligent. With a people with, like somebody would think, or like what they would think because of what they hear, I'd be wanting to like spin that shit for y'all.

Speaker 3:

Yeah, help y'all spin that shit because y'all be intelligent, y'all not dumb you know, what I'm saying and especially like, like you say, you personally, and like everything that you got going on, because, like you've been able to, uh, remain who you, who you've been since you came in this shit and hey, that ain't easy to do in this shit yeah at all every day at all yeah back to the production, though, like who come up with these video concepts?

Speaker 2:

man uh me.

Speaker 5:

You know I direct all my own videos. I direct my like that's fine, put the treatments in my notes, I'm saying I mean I do the whole board for real and I just like get my people's opinions and get they were yeah yeah but yeah, I create a

Speaker 2:

whole little mood board like all right, we're gonna shoot, just like this boom boom boom like the drone, with you in the crib, with all the girls in there, like you put that together.

Speaker 5:

It was supposed to be crazy look it's just so crazy right it was supposed to be.

Speaker 5:

Look, I was supposed to like wake up yeah like I was supposed to wake up with none of this shit, like with none of the chains, none of the girls or nothing like once I'm like broke, if. If I'm saying like that she was supposed to be a whole dream. Like man, she was supposed to be a dream, but the way that shit was like we had a whole another videographer. Try shoot the shit to get the dream part shooting with yes. Rafa Nessie. I ain't like how I look, so I just kept it as that for me yeah, it was supposed to be a whole little storyline with that shit, like for me.

Speaker 5:

But yeah, I'd be putting treatments together. I've been. I started that like with with dough dope music video.

Speaker 4:

I put the whole little time together I tried to make it on some movie ever since I've been trying I've been like, really like putting treatments and look right, I ain't do this in a minute because like it's a basic question and everybody like asking it, like we're not like every podcast. We asked it. But then I stopped because I'm like everybody asks shit like this. But I got to get yours because you one of the rappers. I really need to, Because you don't say a lot what you thinking and your opinion on stuff. So in the city can't be nobody from your hood. Top five, I feel like. Rappers Dang.

Speaker 3:
