Peter Windsor

Relive the three days of the Rolex Australian GP as they happened with Peter Windsor. Although Max Verstappen took the pole for Red Bull after a relatively scrappy practice on Friday, his early retirement paved the way for a momentous one-two victory for Ferrari.  Carlos Sainz, facing an uncertain future following Lewis Hamilton's 2025 Ferrari signing, not only out-qualified his team-mate, Charles Leclerc, but also out-raced him to the flag. The two McLaren-Mercedes finished a strong third and fourth, Lando Norris ahead of Oscar Piastri - but there was controversy on the penultimate lap when George Russell crashed his Mercedes in spectacular fashion after being confused by Fernando Alonso's early braking manoeuvres with his Aston Martin.  Peter talks about all this and more in this latest Short Corners podcast.
