Hey everyone. Welcome to the very first episode of nomadic narratives. I'm Tristan and I'm Stephanie. We're so excited to have you join us as we kick off this podcast. We'll be your host sharing our adventures and stories from the road a little about us. I'm an outdoorsman who works odd blue color jobs. And I'm studying software engineering and working as a barista. Together we bring a unique mix of experiences and perspectives to our travels. So let's dive into why we decided to leave the traditional lifestyle and embrace van life. For us, it was a lot about freedom, adventure, and living life on our own terms. It was pretty wild because we did have a two bedroom apartment. It was really big. We had our own office space. And then we went to transferring to this really small space with a cat and a dog. But, it's been really great. Plus, we love exploring new places and meeting amazing people. And that's what we want to share with you. Each episode will be a mix of travel stories, practical tips, and conversations with the fascinating people we meet along the way. The fascinating people. We really do meet quite a few characters, and it's been interesting, to say the least. I would say so, yeah. We got some great topics lined up, like our favorite travel spots, tips for living in a van, and how we keep our relationship strong while we're on the road. And we'll also share some of the funny and challenging moments, like the time we had no power for two weeks. That was an adventure, for sure. We really want you to feel like you're part of the journey, so we'll be as real and honest as possible. One of the cool things about our podcast is that we come from different worlds. I'm all about the outdoors and hands on work. And I'm diving deep into the world of AI and tech. It's fun to see how our different interests blend together on the road. I think our different perspectives are really interesting. Definitely one of our differences, is that I'm a very techy person and you're a very not techy person. You're like I don't sit. Yeah, you don't sit well. And I've been sitting in this one chair for four hours. Yes, you have. Good job. But, uh, yeah, I mean, that's one difference that we have. I think one thing is that I also try to laugh at a lot of things. And I laugh at myself a lot. And, I'll be in a stressful situation and I'll be laughing. Like, I'll be stressed and I'll be laughing. And it's like, it don't make no sense. We want to hear from you. Follow us on social media, send us your questions, and share your own travel stories. Your feedback and stories will help shape our episodes, and we're excited to build a community of fellow adventurers. Coming up, we've got episodes on our road trip to the Grand Canyon, tips for budget travel, and an interview with a fellow vanlifer who has been on the road for five years. And we'll also talk about cultural experiences we've had, the food we've tried, and the music that's been the soundtrack to our journey. Super cheese ball, but we both listen to music a lot. I've written down songs that I'm listening to while taking a picture. So like in a couple years I can look at it and be like, oh my gosh, yeah, that's the song I was listening to. And then I remember that moment and it's like super cool and super fun and fresh. I don't write down songs, I just remember them. Yeah, I can't do that. I don't know how you do that. I have to write them down. I had to write that down. Home and jukebox. Home and jukebox for sure. Alright, that's it for our first episode. We're so pumped to have you on this journey with us. Thank you for tuning in. Remember to subscribe to Nomadic Narratives and leave us a review if you enjoyed this episode.
