is definitely there the fundamentals of that LeBron James is there he got it he ended the only thing one of the one of the things I like him better than especially in LeBron his shooting he can shoot yeah he can if he gets some a whole offseason without no setbacks where USC and he get that shot right he going to the league and going to league for show off of just that athleticism and shot he's a Hoop Zone down the block so we go to they cut that off by like like I would say we once went to high school they we was in the 8th when I was in the eighth for real now I'm thinking about damn if we wasn't at Hoop Zone yeah cook and we not at cook it's a little apartment complex on the edge got a little open air we poop and regardless cause it was hot outside you wanted if you had an indoor car we poop and regardless you you indoor living was cash man you had indoor car you living man for real who's on was damn that's crazy yeah people we we have pride in who's on to oh yeah like it was definitely like that community feel that was what hoops on was for that community and then once it closed down it's like it's like a part of the community died and I remember I didn't live I didn't live in in that area but I remember I would always go there cause all my homeboys live in the area like you know question mirror and like a lot of other homeboys I went to school with they lived in the area too they like man we go play basketball hoops on so we were going hoop but and that's all full day adventure full day adventure I don't know who's up there cause you know you hooping you stand there hooping for hours might meet little girl who pulled out out there young said she came through who I was you all you know I'm saying HEB across the block McDonald's in that same parking lot and guess what free you walking in there hooping for free for free ain't nothing no free walking there's a little water cup at McDonald's little Powerade in there you know what I'm saying right for the free and then go hoop some oh yeah man what about you Rodney what's going on my middle school I went to Lamar Middle School is right there on Burning road with the white people you know I'm saying look shout out Lamar it was the 7 11 my homeboy used to live right down the street we would always walk to 7 11 every time I hang out with him go chill with him at his house we always went to this corner cause HEB it was our middle school and it was 7 11 we would always go there every day every time we hung out like after school go grab a Slurpee go chill whatever and I remember when they got rid of it and I was like damn like the 7 11 yeah they turn into like a it's called like a Tom or something like that I drove by the other day yes I called a Tom or something like that cause like my uncle also live down the street his house ain't there no more either that area I would say that area right there is all nostalgic is all nostalgic from you cause I remember getting out of school walking to my uncle house and then chilling at my uncle house for a little bit maybe go scrabble Amy's ice cream on that on the corner by his job or go to Sonic I mean go to 7 11 walk to 7 11 and those a should be right there too like it was options and that was what I remember most when I was a kid growing up was that area was just being so versatile so much stuff I could do so much things I can get into so many things I could have and once that part once it died once it left I was like man that's it's crazy you missing that 7 11 cause literally I kid you not like a month ago I'm with my pops I'm chilling and we go we we go grab some bird bird on that on that street over there I forgot the name of the street but it's over there and after we grab Bird Bird he said he wanna stop by the corner store and the corner store he mentioned he like don't just all the way down to 7 11 it's gonna be a 7 11 up there on the right so we drive down and we get to the same in the 7 11 you talking about that's closed down he was like what how does 7 11 and been 7 11 been there forever ain't there no more and I was just like yeah if he if he live a doubt by that then you know yeah you know I'm saying the stable for because I'm talking about you know my dad he old and he's just like hey that is a corner store up there go hit that corner store on that corner on the right yeah like for him to do that instinctively that hell had to be there for some time man it is you just couldn't miss it was literally right there on the corner best spot it was it was for it was like the bet it was it was literally like you couldn't miss on that corner cause it was like 7 11 CVS CVS H E B you could not miss on that corner prom real estate prom real estate right there and yeah that's that's one day it's just like you know and then going on with like that nostalgic it's just like I remember things like man going to HEB boy had a dollar to his name I can go get me a soda in a bag of chips for like a dollar and some change like it was just always play basketball Brentwood man Brentwood Elementary Brentwood Elementary but like we hooked a few yeah like Brentwood Elementary man doubt like I said out my lot of my friends stayed in the area so we would always I would always be over there you know but like I was saying though it's just like more nostalgia it's just things used to cost differently the man's like you know you go into McDonald's you can hit the Dollar Menu that was the time Dollar Menu was an actual thing a real thing a real thing like oh $9 $99 $59 one dollar and seven cents with tax that was man it was it was a Tom dog that was get right for $5 get right slice get right for $1 like really get right for $1 cheese my go to was the too hot and spicy with cheese and a large fry I never understood why you want the cheese on it like you I remember that you would I'm a cheese I remember that I'm a cheesy guy and just swish I'm a cheesy guy you know what I'm saying boo but now I remember mines was a it was a it was two mcdoubles a large fry and a drink every time $5 flat I remember $5 flat you go there now bro you might as well go ahead and get you a that's 10 bucks you might will get you a real might as well get you a Big Mac meal or something cause they gave you that free fry on there the kiosks or something dog but yeah things aren't what they used to be man I remember another things like my friend he's live on the east side of there on Springdale they own both of the houses that they live next to they just recently sold them and I remember when they sold them I was like damn that's you know it hurt me the next week literally I went back the next week to look at it they had knocked it down built it up bro made it to a high rise duplex yeah and I was just like man gentrification is real is a real thing and it's has literally diminished the culture in Austin in my opinion yeah it takes over Austin because these people ain't from Austin and they move into the core of where Austin is what Austin is is the yeah he's at the core moving there so you can't even help it that these people are there now shout out you know that we love everybody love bro I love growth for the city but I'm not saying moving to before you move here and you don't know what you're moving into they usually come on visits or whatever and see it spend like a day these are by southwest it's been like most people I've seen they spend a certain like a reasonable amount of time before saying they finna move over here like they at least experience they might not experience the whole thing cause they ain't get a stay a whole calendar year but they usually come like a peak time whether that be like ACL South by southwest you know major events in our city they like okay oh man like this love yeah I love all the time they wanna pull up they tell get out of UT game or something like that and they just be like man it's like this all the time all the time yeah but it is fire it is fucking fire but they found there's a whole another level if you live in like an actual city person like if you actually can afford first off to live downtown and you actually get a live true like city experience the same thing in the domain if you could afford to live in the domain you wake up you don't you don't drive nowhere really you walk out quality you work somewhere closer you work from home the coffee shop around the corner you walk to it yeah you you take long walks you sit read your book outside like you live a true city life if you downtown send me a video and he was there talking about like a three bedroom or like a two bedroom like condo in downtown Austin talking about 40 five hundred a month 45,000 a month sorry 45,000 a month I said go buy a house dog for you spend $45,000 a month for a condo that's not yours go buy a house dog some people like that company sees and some people like the privacy but who you got to be making some big bread to spend $45,000 a month for a place to live and a beautiful that's not sure that's not yours Devin I would say I would say it'll be like I'm guessing but I don't think it's that high I think it's most mostly probably in the upper 2,000 3,000 to 4,000 a month like rent like if you rent a little like rent an apartment or something yeah if you rent like some downtown gig it could be upwards to couple thousand yeah easily but I was like I saw that and I was like I couldn't I don't think I feel like it was real but I was just like man if someone's paying $45,000 a month for a place that's not theirs
