Hello! The Nifty Fifty Show is a podcast exploring the many places that make up the United States. There are no flyover states here!
Have you ever been driving on a long road trip? Possibly on interstate 80 through Nebraska. That's always a good example. But have you ever been driving on a really long road or. Ben on a really long plane ride and you look out the window and you wonder. I wonder what it's like there. Or what makes that place different than any other. Then this is the podcast for you. My name is Kennan sparks and I'm the host of the nifty 50 show. This podcast is meant to explore a lot of the unsung places of the United States. A lot of the places classified as fly over the word I had to test. Because. There aren't really any places that are worth flying over. Just because they're there. Many of these places. Have hidden stories or secrets. That. With a little probing. Aren't that secret? And in turn, they make the landscape a lot more colorful. We tend to focus on the hyper touristy parts of the country and. With fair reason for most of that. Because they are really great and they are really nice to visit. However that doesn't lessen. The. Other places that we live around. Because a lot of the places that we live around that we travel through or that just pass by our window or under the airplane. Are really spectacular. And all it takes is just a little magic. And the little storytelling. To bring that out. And that's my goal here. So if you're an armchair traveler, if you are a road warrior, or if you're just generally curious, Then this is the podcast for you. Because we're going to dive into a lot of the identities of places, the histories of places. We're going to explore how the people living in a certain place interacted with their landscape. To create something totally. And Spectacularly. unique. And what makes it a place people feel proud to live in. Or to visit. Grabbing Atlas. And let's get traveling through the United States.
