Dr. Roger Firestien

Dr Roger Firestien is focused on finding the problem. Why? Because, "for every complex problem there's an answer that's clear, simple and wrong."  Most of us solve for the wrong problem. And here's the gold: in about 5-6 minutes with the right (creativity) skills you can uncover what the real problem might be. If you have five  minutes and dislike do-overs then lean in. In this episode, Roger talks about making the air right, another way of saying the environment makes space for 'what might be' to emerge.  Creativity is about so many things really, and it begins with each of us, becoming aware, becoming curious and becoming more able in life through the language and skills of creative process that empowers us to tolerate ambiguity because with creativity skills we can navigate through the complex problem to the other side with a novel and valuable solution, if only momentarily (the world is ever changing, you know). And to get you started in tolerating ambiguity we've got a nice little acronym for you:

PAC: Pause, Ask, Choose.
