Every human being's life resides in their spirit. It is the spirit that animates you, serves as your life source, and acts as the battery that sustains your existence. So. Therefore, it's not just about keeping you alive; it's also about the part of you that communicates and interacts with God. So. Without a clear understanding of your spirit, you are essentially living below what God has ordained for you. If you want to become everything that God desires for you, it won't happen just because you pray frequently. No, that's not going to do it.
If you worship a lot, it's important to understand your inner self, which we also refer to as the spirit.
The Role of the Spirit in Prayer
Today, we will delve deeper into the function of the spirit, highlighting the need for us to mature in our understanding of it. You will discover that your prayers, and indeed all of them, will suffer greatly if you do not understand your inner man.
Exploring Romans 8:26
I want us to go to Romans chapter 8.
Romans 8:26. Romans 8 and verse 26. Similarly, the spirit aids us in our struggles, as we are unsure of what to pray for, yet the spirit itself intercedes on our behalf with unutterable groans. Romans 8 verse 26 Similarly, the spirit aids us in our infirmities, as we are unsure of what to pray for or how to pray as we should, but the spirit itself intercedes on our behalf with groans that are beyond words.
I want you to hear this again and again. Pay attention and listen.
The Intercession of the Spirit
Similarly, the spirit assists us in our struggles; we may not know how to pray properly, but the spirit itself intercedes on our behalf with groans that are beyond words, verse 27). And he who searches the hearts knows what is in the mind of the spirit, and he who searches the hearts knows what is in the mind of the spirit because he makes intercession for the saints in accordance with God's will. God.
This isn't about the Holy Spirit. By the way, anyone who reads this and thinks it is about the Holy Spirit doesn't know how to read scripture.
The Spirit of a Regenerated Man
You need to comprehend a profound truth: the spirit of a regenerated man, one who is born again, and your spirit, along with the spirit of God, become intertwined. This is the reasoning behind the statement that "what is born of the spirit is spirit." What distinguishes someone who is born again from someone who is not? We all have a spirit; that's why we are alive.
The Borrowed Spirit vs. United Spirit
The problem arises when an individual possesses a borrowed spirit.
One possesses a borrowed spirit that God bestows and withholds at any moment. At any given moment, God bestows and withholds a borrowed spirit, but one has united with God to form a single spirit. This spirit is no longer separate from them; they now embody eternal life, akin to their eternal father, rendering them immortal and incapable of dying. Are you listening to what I'm saying? One has become part of the spirit of God, and what is the other one saying? One has become part of God's spirit; the other is just God's breath, a borrowed spirit.
That's why you find that the Bible states that the spirit of anyone who perishes returns to God. Yes, whether you are Osama bin Laden or Hitler, your soul will go to hell, but your spirit will return to God. However, this spirit will not possess your consciousness, as it is merely a borrowed essence that keeps you alive, and nothing can exist without the spirit of God. That's why it asserts that the spirit of God permeates all things, including those that are alive.
Living in the Spirit Realm
If you have not migrated your life into the spirit realm, you will always live in weakness. You are weak. Despite being filled by the Holy Spirit, many Christians still struggle with weakness. You're still struggling with drinking. You're still struggling with drugs. You're still struggling with pornography, you're still struggling with anger, you're still struggling with unforgiveness, and you're still struggling with decisions. Your life doesn't align with your spiritual beliefs, which is why you continue to struggle.
Your inner man Because your spirit's role is to support your body and soul, your infirmity begins to diminish, ensuring that your weaknesses do not overwhelm you.
The Transformation of the Apostles
This is why, if you compare the lives of the Apostles of Jesus from before Jesus met them to when the spirit of God infiltrated them after the infilling experience, you will notice a significant difference. Examining Peter from the Book of Acts and comparing him to Peter from the Gospels reveals a significant difference.
The two Peters in Matthew's gospels are completely different. Why did their lives shift from being based on their souls to their flesh and blood? Their solutions now originate in the spirit, not the soul. When Peter goes to the temple, he encounters a man who is asking for silver. God responds, "In the physical world, I don't have silver and gold, but I have something in my spirit. In the name of Jesus, I give you what I have. Rise up and walk. Look what he has.
In your soul, you have God's doctrines. You possess God's thoughts, yet God's mind currently resides solely in your spirit. As a result, I informed him that you carry God's teachings in your soul. You possess the thoughts of God, yet the mind of God currently resides solely within your spirit. Therefore, I shared with him the gifts I have to offer. He imparted knowledge from his spirit, transferred healing from his spirit through music, and gave it to the man, who, whether he liked it or not, received healing. Despite his lack of desire for healing, he found himself healed.
The Power of the Spirit
Doors will open with fire when you move your life into your spirit.
When you align your life with your spirit, obstacles such as fire or force will vanish, as your spirit remains unrestricted and unconquerable due to its divine nature. Elijah had the ability to communicate with the rain, not to rule; he asserted that he was the one who declared the absence of rain, action, or force, as God's spirit is inexhaustible and uncontrollable. Elijah could speak to the rain, not to rain; he asserted that he was the one who commanded the rain, not the soul or the body, but his spirit.
The Holy Spirit and Prophets
"The prophets of old did not require the Holy Spirit to manifest the power of God." All the prophets of the world did not have the Holy Spirit; they only operated with authority. Why was David saying, Don't take your spirit from me? Why were people staring at Elijah and saying, "Elijah, don't tell me that you're going to be here and drop you somewhere else?"
Why did Ezekiel say God took me by his spirit? The Holy Spirit delegates all authority and power. God himself says it is not because of strength or might; it is because of my spirit. Indeed, the Holy Spirit shaped every prophet and every king that God anointed.
Why was John the Baptist full of the Holy Spirit before there was an infilling of the Holy Spirit? Because everybody doesn't know that the gospels are still the Old Testament, the New Testament actually begins in Acts. Matthew is not part of the New Testament. Jesus never did anything different from the people before him; he did exactly what they did.
Misunderstanding the Spirit
All these things are because people don't understand the spirit; they don't understand the spirit of God, and they don't understand the human spirit. Let me assure you, even those who worship the devil lack this understanding.
Whatever I am doing for God, I will do it with all my heart. The issue lies in the fact that many individuals are dissatisfied, preferring to pursue their own interests over serving God. That's why this lesson is essential. This is the reason why they don't even have insight; they don't know their spirit. They are reading scripture, but they don't even want to. Remember what I told you: if you read the Bible and you're confused, it is not the Bible; it is not the King James version; it's you; it's your spirit; you have not tapped into your inner man because the one who knows it is your spirit who is learning from the Holy Spirit.
Your weaknesses stem from the fact that your spirit still lacks control over your soul. Therefore, the church is rife with vulnerabilities. Similarly, the spirit also aids us in overcoming our infirmities, as we often struggle to know what to pray for.
The Importance of Knowing Your Spirit
It's crucial to understand your spirit before knowing what to pray for. Why is it important to know how to use your spirit? If you pray according to your soul, you will always pray for what is happening to you. I am broke, I am sick, and I just want to love you, God. I just want to know my next move.
God, they have betrayed me again. Heal my heart, O Lord. Your prayers for the soul are important, but your solution is not with the soul; it's with your spirit. You don't even know how to pray. I don't even know how to pray unless it comes from my inner man. I am not praying. I'm making noise. Is anybody listening to me? Yes, imagine Paul telling you that we don't know how to pray, but the spirit does listen again. Read it again. Listen to verse 26. Yes, and likewise, the spirit. "He helps our infirmities, for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought to."
Aligning with God's Mind
Therefore, every time you use your spirit, you will know exactly what you need to pray for because you will be in line with God's mind. People often mistakenly believe that when you pray according to God's word, you are aligning yourself with God's thoughts. You correctly locate the Bible and the scriptures. Are you listening to this? We don't know how to pray; we don't even know what we ought to pray for.
However, the spirit knows exactly what we should pray for, so simply feeling the need to pray isn't the answer. If I just grab the Bible and say that by his stripes we are healed, how should I pray for that healing father? I claim the stripes, but that's not how praying according to the word of God sounds.
Have you ever noticed that when I present you with a scripture and provide you with prayer points, you often ask yourself, "How did you come up with that?" This is because I didn't originate the idea; I went beyond the verse. Can we understand God's mind according to scripture? Well, in a way, yes, but pay attention to what the Bible says: just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so too are my thoughts. Therefore, if you believe the Bible contains all of God's thoughts, you would be deceiving yourself.
