Guarding Your Gifts

  Guard what you've been given.

I've recently, by God's grace, come to understand once again that I've been deceived. Only God's mercy and grace reveal the truth to us.

Facing Daily Enemies

The daily presence of enemies has been quite an experience for me. I've had to constantly step cautiously and dodge attacks of various types. Despite the discomfort, I have gained immense strength and am grateful for the experience.

The deception I'm speaking about was caused by two things. The first is that it's part of my growth and development. As God prepares and shapes you into his image, he places you in situations that stimulate your growth. God allows enemies to surround you, strengthening your character and nature.

Lessons in Forgiveness

One of the most challenging lessons I encountered was the need to extend forgiveness for all the evil and wickedness that God has exposed against me. The many things I've come to know that have been taking place behind my back and against me are enough to make me want to repay evil for evil. By His grace, I have been able to receive these truths, accept them for what they are, and forgive the perpetrator.

I achieved this by transforming into his likeness, enabling me to perceive human actions from his perspective. I comprehended that the devil frequently manipulates individuals. If someone is willingly participating with the devil, it presents an opportunity to develop and increase your spiritual maturity. This is how we learn to defeat the devil and his schemes. It often takes going through a fire to grow.

Relying on God's Understanding

The second factor involved relying on my own understanding. Despite my closeness to God, there are moments when I fail to consult him or misunderstand his words. I perceive and hear God well, but it has shown me that there is always a need to deepen our intimacy with him. As I replay the situation, I'm still not sure how I got it wrong.

God often allows situations in your life to demonstrate your dependence on him. That was one of the reasons God ordained me to be in this environment. By God's grace and mercy, encountering adversity, haters, and similar situations at times will prevent you from growing in God's nature.

That's just one of the many reasons I'm thankful for my position in the enemy camp. Not only have I grown and matured in the image of God, but I've also grown in spiritual maturity and capacity. This is why we count it all as joy when faced with persecution. We see it as a chance to grow closer to God. Understanding this makes going through the process a little easier.

Personal Revelations

Now that we've cleared the air, let's discuss what transpired.

Family Dynamics and Deception

I've been in the lion's den for some time now, and I began to see through the people surrounding me. I distanced myself from my mother, who is primarily responsible for my failure. I gravitated to her husband because I believed I saw the effects of being under the influence of a narcissist in him, as though I'd been through it and knew the signs.

I perceived him as a victim, not for one minute thinking that he could be a villain. I knew he was a religious man, portraying himself to his church folk as godly, but outside of that, he was of the world. Because of my beliefs, I invested a significant amount of my energy, strength, and concern in him, despite my understanding of his nature. I honestly thought he was a victim of the witchcraft and narcissism of his wife, my mother.

But God, again in my defense, opened my eyes to the truth. A situation unfolded that didn't align with my beliefs. As I dwelled on the situation, I became more convinced that what had happened was a deliberate attempt to provoke me into coming out of character. One of the mistakes I made was believing he was a victim. I showed him I was sensitive to his issues; he had some physical things tormenting him.

Recognizing it was an attack against me, I made up my mind to change my interactions with everyone in the house. At that moment, I decided to forget about everything but me and my needs. As I'm prone to do, I decided to once again turn inward and towards God to analyze where I may have gone wrong in what I saw.

The moment I did this, God spoke and spoke loudly. God revealed his true self to me, unveiling the masks he was hiding behind. Not only that, it became clear that my decision was in alignment with what God wanted me to do, as he gave me confirmation of my decision along with further instruction.

Spiritual Growth and Protection

Here's what I would like for you to take from my experience: Always protect the gifts you've received. I'm talking about your heart, your time, your energy, and anything else that is dear to you. Based on my own experiences, I believed I saw something that wasn't there. I relied on my own comprehension and let the truth blind me.

I gave too much of myself, knowing the nature of who I was dealing with. I allowed myself to feel sympathy for an enemy due to my own shortcomings, something I shouldn't have done. The good news is that angels surround me, and God's mercy protects me from the enemy's attempts to harm me. The experience of facing enemies has taught me many valuable lessons.

I am fully aware that this experience is preparation for what's to come in my elevation.

Final Thoughts and Encouragement

My final thought is that staying connected to God will be the only way you will stay out of harm's way. In my mind, my sole focus was demonstrating the love of Christ; however, I unintentionally exposed myself to deception, and fortunately, that was the only outcome.

Mistakes are going to happen; learning from them is the difference between life and death. May you receive revelation from my truth and the ability to see and distinguish what's of the enemy and what isn't. Come close to God, and he will come close to you.

Your willingness to listen fills me with gratitude. I'm confident that the wisdom shared here will prove invaluable in navigating your current challenges. Let's invoke divine insight, as described in 2 Kings 6, 17, and pray for eyes to see beyond our circumstances. In Hosea 4 and 6, we're reminded of the dangers of spiritual ignorance, which can lead to our downfall.

Embrace this truth with an open heart, guided by the loving presence of the Holy Spirit. Stay encouraged, knowing that where there is great love, miracles abound. Remember, your prophet is here for you, ready to offer support and guidance every step of the way.
