And the Oscar Goes To
It's amazing to me the ability some people have to hide their true nature. For half my life, I was a master manipulator. There was nothing I couldn't get someone to do, usually without referring to what I wanted. In tough times, I operated in this way mostly out of desperation, but what I've come to know about the people around me doesn't compare.
In today's podcast, I explore the topic of deception and its various disguises. It's one thing to encounter one or two individuals in your life who are extremely deceptive, but what if they are a group? I'm going to attempt to share with you the many people in my life who were there for the wrong reasons.
A Mother's Betrayal
Let's start with my mother. If you followed me, then you know that she has hated me from birth because of jealousy. To spend the next 57 years lying in my face and attempting to destroy me at every turn is truly wicked. I believe she deserves the award for best actress out of all the candidates.
The Deceptive Wives
My future and former wives are next in line. The way she presented herself to me led me to believe she was a true angel. When I was with her, I had the impression that I was in heaven and that she could do no wrong. I learned the truth the hard way: she had deceived me. It took me years to overcome this, but God intervened and transformed her into the wife I deserved. to win the wife I deserve. She won for best supporting actress; she followed what my mother had started.
Fred: The False Friend
Next up is someone I'll refer to as Fred. Fred was instrumental in my recovery from my failed marriage. He appeared to care and was eager to listen. The problem was that once I came closer to him, I could see his motives weren't genuine. He would never discuss his situation; instead, his focus was always on the person he was speaking to at that moment. to at the time.
After years of observing this behavior, I began to question him about it, which led to his evasiveness. I have tons of experience dealing with people who use evasiveness as a tactic to keep you from the truth. I confronted him a few times about it with no results and finally decided I'd had enough.
Eventually, I discovered his true essence, as well as the deceit in his words and deeds. In the end, he was operating demonic schemes in an attempt to monitor me and be like me. He also developed a sense of jealousy toward me for being authentic. He takes home Best Male Actor. He completely fooled me, treating me like a brother.
Lisa: The Manipulative Woman
This next one, I saw immediately. I remained in this situation because I was in the process of healing after my ex-wife's departure. I made the mistake of turning to another woman when I was in pain, and I quickly recognized her control and manipulation tactics. I was in a vulnerable situation, so I allowed myself to play her game.
Lisa's foolishness toward this woman, whom I'll refer to as Lisa, lies in her belief that she was deceiving me, despite my warning that I could see what she was trying to do. I acknowledge that I tolerated her behavior for an extended period of time, but there was a problem. Lisa wasn't in the same league as the previous three, but she still had other factors that put her in contention for the "best not as smart as you think you are" award. Yes, I made it up.
The Hypocritical Stepfather
Finally, let's talk about my mother's husband. I admit that I was partially responsible for the deceit, yet the revelation of his true nature has taken me by surprise. I thought he was a victim, but that's the furthest thing from the truth. He engages in activities that are not worthy of discussion. Let's just say he operates in the realm of devils.
He operates under the guise of false godliness, not only at church functions but also in other parts of the world. My mother's influence led me to believe he was under control, but I've come to understand otherwise. Because of his efforts, he deserves to be the best supporting male actor. Admittedly, he was the one who surprised me the most out of all the candidates.
Lessons Learned and Final Thoughts
I have been around some of the most wicked and devious people you can imagine. The common thread among all of them is the various layers or masks they pose. People speak about discernment a lot, and I'm here to tell you that you need to seek God for it.
If not for the divine protection and grace I was under, I would not be here to tell this story. Four out of the five individuals expressed a desire for my demise. The devil sent them all with the intention of destroying me. All of them However, my ex-wife's actions were deliberate. The enemy used my ex-wife's unresolved trauma as leverage.
I considered myself to have been extremely insightful into who people are. I've always been able to see the motives of others and protect myself. These experiences have shown me that there's always room for improvement. I needed to humble myself and increase my capacity for my spiritual nature.
Though painful, I've gotten the better end of the deal. The torment that these people are in is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. I've gained strength, insight, and a greater ability to see people through my spiritual eyes. I'm grateful for the experience, and I know it worked out for me.
I made this fun and interesting, but take heed to the lesson. Pray to the heavenly Father to sharpen your discernment, ensuring you remain free from deception. May you increase your ability to see the true nature of the people you come in contact with. May the Spirit of God increase you in the ways of the Spirit.
