Jordan:

Hey guys, long time no see.

Kevin:

I love how we start Snapcast now with that. It does feel weird because we've been recording every other week for so long and now we're recording every week, so it just feels like we just did this yesterday.

Jordan:

I know Well, it actually has been a long time because we recorded early, so this has actually been probably our longest break from recording in months Because you went on a little trip right To the big old state of Texas. Yeah, ate at Whataburger. For the first time in my life, I've been missing out.

Alban:

What's your Whataburger review, Jordan?

Jordan:

Okay, I ate there twice, so it was that good I went twice.

Alban:

So I can tell you already your review is going could be better than mine would be.

Jordan:

Really Well. Okay, I mean, in the great state of Idaho we don't have a lot of really great like Southern fast food or even like California fast food, like we just got our first in and out ever like last year. I still haven't been there, but I mean the burger was really good. But I'll tell you what I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was game changing and I should have just been eating that the entire trip.

Kevin:

What game? Did it change the chicken sandwich eating game.

Jordan:

It has ruined me on spicy chicken sandwiches in my home state forever. I, I, I'm a changed person now do you guys have? Yeah, yeah, they're spicy chicken sandwich pretty solid, no is it?

Kevin:

good, all right I like it. Yeah, I think it's uh significantly better really okay I like that this show has so many uh fast food reviews now let me tell a quick story because, um, there's a whataburger not too far away from our office. And what is this? Five or six years ago, albin, that we all went there for lunch, yeah, but use. Now.

Alban:

Let me tell a quick story, because there's a Whataburger not too far away from our office, and was this five or six years ago, alvin, that we all went there for lunch? Yeah, but if you're going to tell this story, I'm going to make sure that all of it's included.

Kevin:

I don't remember all of it. I only remember that there was some sort of eating contest and we walked out of there and Alvin had won a Whataburger shirt.

Alban:

Yeah, we went into a Whataburger Jordan because we used to have this rule when we went picked lunch. We had this thing called the lunch wheel where we would spin it. We'd go wherever it said, and it landed on Whataburger. But that was on there as like the punishment for not having come to a consensus as a team on where to eat. So we spun it, it was Whataburger. We're like we're going, yeah, and we go, and they're like hey, if you want to be part of this contest, if you get at least three people who will do it, one of you gets your meal for free. But it's like you have to eat a full, like triple Whataburger or something, first. Ooh, yeah. And so there were enough people in the line, one of which was me, but another of which was Kevin. Did I do it too? Yes, this is the part that now I have to include. Kevin said do not tell my wife or I will get a divorce. I'm not allowed to get this food.

Kevin:

I'm not allowed to eat this food. I'm not allowed to get this food. I'm not allowed to enter eating contest.

Alban:

That was part of our pre-nup he was out of it because I took a photo and he was like delete that photo, Like seriously, don't post that photo anywhere.

Jordan:

It's a good thing she doesn't listen to this podcast.

Kevin:

There's only one clause in our pre-nup, and it's that I cannot ever enter any eating contest eating contest.

Alban:

Um, yeah, I, uh, I did have a. I had a Whataburger shirt for quite a while. I recently, I think. Uh, I think I threw that away. I don't think it ever got me Where's.

Jordan:

I don't know why All right?

Kevin:

Well, these, these Snapcast are supposed to be quick and we're droning on what's new in the world of podcasting. What are we going to talk about on our next full episode?

Jordan:

Well, this morning I got caught up on Pod News Weekly Review and, to my surprise and delight, albin, you were on the cover of it. So how was that it?

Alban:

was good. We talked about our Android release. We talked a little bit about Buzzsprout Weekly, our new podcast. Yeah, so both of those are. If you are listening to this now, android is out. If you're an Android user, make sure you download it in the Google Play Store. If you haven't subscribed to Buzzsprout Weekly, that is out there now for everybody. So, instead of reading the newsletter, you can listen to the newsletter. You've been doing it with Megan and it's really really good. And there's also another update that we might want to give a little sneak peek to, and that's if you log into your BuzzFeed account right now. We've made some changes, yeah.

Kevin:

Things look a little bit different. We've been working on slowly rolling out this rebrand that we've been working on for months and months and months, and so I want to go into more depth in that in our next full episode of what that journey's looked like and why we're doing it. Maybe Cameron can join us for part of that. It would be a good conversation. But phase one of that rolled out today and that is in. If you go to buzzsproutcom, log in on your computer or your iPhone, things will look a little bit different. Not your iPhone, any mobile device. Things will look a little bit different New color scheme, new logo, new fonts. Things are getting fresh and I know we're already hearing some comments. Some people love it, some people are like, yeah, I don't like it. Change is hard for some people. Our hope.

Jordan:

Change is hard.

Kevin:

I'll just say this Our hope is that you don't.

Kevin:

It's you know we never try to set the goal of creating something that everyone loves immediately, like that's an impossible bar to reach.

Kevin:

But our hope is that we design something that at least some people like immediately and everyone else. It grows on over time. Like I think that's a mark of good design is that it over time, you've come to appreciate it more, instead of, over time, you get tired of it or you're bored with it or it starts to annoy you more over time. So just know that as you look at it and if you're not somebody who's like change doesn't come easy for me or I like things the way they are give it time. I'm hoping that within a week or two, things start to settle for you a little bit, and we've been using it for a while. I've been looking at it for a while and that's happened for me. That's been the measure for me is that it's growing on me over time. So I think it's great, I'm excited about it, and I want to hear Cameron go into more depth about some of the decisions we made and why we made them.

Jordan:

Well, I'm excited for the next episode, so keep podcasting.
