*There are several instances throughout this conversation that required clarification and deeper understanding. We (Claudia and I) discussed this post-production and we decided to keep in these moments throughout this episode that we didn't necessarily feel great about BECAUSE it is real.

A note from Claudia:

I would like to admit that I can’t even imagine to believe what anyone is feeling about what we have been witnessing with Aaron Bushnell’s self-immolation. For me it brings up feelings of feeling unheard and unseen and his action being an expression of pain and sadness that he and we are collectively witnessing together with the war in Gaza. It hurts me that people have such lack of empathy regarding this topic and what Aaron Bushnell did. I want to bring awareness back to remembering that we are human. My heart goes out to us humans witnessing a world lacking empathy and support.

A note from Adriana:

I am very proud of this episode because it is illuminating for us in real time, the ways in which we are fallible, bumbling, still learning HUMAN BEINGS when it comes to our understanding (or lack thereof), comfortability, and expression on why others feel the way they feel - and why certain actions are taken. We send love to all who have felt ostracized, misunderstood, and discarded by society. YOU MATTER.
