#03: What your listeners really want

Here's what you're listeners don't want…

They don’t want (or care) about the intro music.

They don’t care about the fancy 30-sec elevator pitch (they will press the fast forward anyway). Better to... mix it up and introduce yourself in a fresh way at the beginning of every episode. Get creative!

They will never know what kind of microphone you are using so pick one you like.

They don’t wanna know all about your story and your history and all the accolades that you’ve had. Those things are nice and they are good to share but think about your client and where they are right now.

They  just wanna know - can you help me with my problem?

Yes, do the music, the intro... all of it, but NOT at the expense of forgetting what a podcast is really about. Podcasting has given me a successful coaching business where I get to pay forward all of this wisdom, and of course you can have the same.

If you were a clairvoyant, and told me back in 2014 that a podcast would give me the success I have today, I’d never believed it. When you detach from the outcome, you no longer NEED a podcast. That’s when you start going somewhere. This shift  can change your entire perspective.

How can you find safety in detaching from the outcome? How can you podcast for the love of it, expecting zero in return in the way of downloads, listeners, clients, etc.?

How can you hold your podcasting commitment in a playful way with a firm intention?
