and welcome back folks to another edition of this. That another we're again on location outside, isn't that right, honey?
Speaker 2Yeah, I see a big old turtle coming this way. He's got a big old head.
Speaker 1I see a duck.
Speaker 2That thing is huge it's fat. Are you sure that's a turtle? Yep, that's a turtle, are you sure?
Speaker 1It's a big turtle.
Speaker 2You know I don't like that. That's a big turtle.
Speaker 1Look at his head. Well, you hadn't been down there to see them. They're all sizes. There's several big ones.
Speaker 2Speaking of being down on the water.
Speaker 1Speaking of it.
Speaker 2What did we try to do yesterday?
Speaker 1Okay, yesterday I got home and I heard an eagle.
Speaker 2What's an eagle sound like. I can't Let me hear your imitation, because you do them all, so let's hear it. Give me some eagle. That is not what that sounded like.
Speaker 1Well, that's like a hawk way up in the sky. I can't do an eagle, I can't squawk like an eagle, anyway. So it was across the slough. I knew it was an eagle. I heard a crow Crow was getting after it, so I text. Amanda told her she came outside, couldn find it, knew the general area it was in, so I ended up getting chairs, taking them down there the edge of the water, setting them up, getting all this stuff went back inside, got my binoculars amanda's trying to video, trying to figure, and she got on some kind of uh, what did you get on? What option?
Speaker 2it was just my camera, it was just the regular camera on the phone I know, but it changed I know. Yeah, I don't know. No, just when I zoomed in, it did that.
Speaker 1Yeah, so you're doing that and I've like turned around or something and you're like, oh, it's flying, and so I'm trying to put the binoculars down.
Speaker 2I'm trying to change mine to video.
Speaker 1I'm trying to get my phone out of my pocket.
Speaker 2I can't do nothing.
Speaker 1Yeah, so by the time I got it.
Speaker 2I got it as it, so I just got just a few seconds on there. But this is the thing. What's the thing? Jody went and got us two chairs, like we was going to sit out and watch the birds. We was going to sit there until that eagle flew.
Speaker 1Yeah, because eagles are cool and you don't get a chance to see them very often.
Speaker 2He didn't give us time to get ready.
Speaker 1No, Well, I mean, we were down there and then wasn't paying attention. Well, luckily you were, but I had already been standing down there with my phone in my hand trying to find them.
Speaker 2I just want to see them get something.
Speaker 1I've never seen one hit the water and get a fish or anything. See them fly.
Speaker 2I tried to entice him with a little kitty.
Speaker 1We had one in the yard several years ago. It was in the top of one of these trees and I watched them for like 30 minutes. Other than that, just every once in a while you'll see one fly by or you'll hear it Say every six months, maybe, something like that.
Speaker 2So add that to Jody's wildlife. He didn't feed it, though.
Speaker 1No, I don't need them to hang around because you know, we do have two small dogs.
Speaker 2Yeah, they won't hurt the dogs. Coco, we got some cats, we could put down there some kittens I mean I don't want, I don't want to hear nothing from peter I don't want to say that.
Speaker 1It would hurt my feelings. I don't want to see a little kitten in the claws of a uh eagle as it's flying off. But if I didn't know about it?
Speaker 2if the kittens just disappeared, so be it, that's right all right, so let's start off by saying happy father's day. So you'll be listening this monday, but you know, happy father's day to all the dads, fathers out there, the father figures, you know that's right. I hope you had a great weekend that's right, they should right.
Speaker 1The kids and the mamas ought to be waiting on them hand and foot. They should have sunday, but some people won't let them.
Speaker 2So what does that mean? Well, you know what that means you won't let me do nothing you don't ask.
Speaker 1I ain't complaining. What are you gonna ask?
Speaker 2I don't have to ask to do nothing. I just tell you to go in there and sit down, and you won't do it why would I sit down?
Speaker 1there's things to do.
Speaker 2You can't relax I know you don't listen to me. I'll try to get you to and you won't do it. Stubborn, yellow, stubborn as a mule. So how old is that saying you got stubborn as a mule?
Speaker 1I don't know pretty. Oh. So you got groceries, but so far this past week you know we're coming off of the fridge being tore up. We just got it fixed and you're afraid to fill it up you're afraid to put anything in it.
Speaker 2I was afraid to fill it up, so I didn't even get groceries last week. We just not like we didn't have nothing to eat.
Speaker 1Well, I know, but you know you like a full refrigerator.
Speaker 2And it was pretty empty, but I mean I had stuff to cook so. But now I still didn't fill it, fill it up, I still didn't make a big grocery bill like I could have.
Speaker 1But I know you get mad when I mention the other podcast, but can I please mention it and you not get upset as she turns her head away from me and won't even make eye contact does it matter? Just saying we just came off of our survival. The grid has gone down. Episode it's we talked about if your fridge was completely full, how you overcome that obstacle so that it'll last longer is your power out yeah, your power's out.
Speaker 2Yeah, when the grid's down grid's down, so the power's out. When the grid's down, your grid's down, so the power's out.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, there's no communication, no, nothing.
Speaker 2We hope it's not in the dead of summer.
Speaker 1Oh, I know One thing I thought about. I wish we'd have talked about that. We didn't talk about the time of year.
Speaker 2If it's in the cold, you can set it outside.
Speaker 1Yes, I want it to sitting in the heat. It's july, you're baking, yeah, but no wind to be cold, oh, you can. You've got enough clothes you can get. We can build fires, you can get warm, okay don't you think so? We're talking about the refrigerator yeah, but let me get back on the thing. But it just made me think. Now you start thinking, you know, to get prepared, stock up, don't get the bare minimums and get that crank radio.
Speaker 2My cabinets are pretty full. It's just a refrigerator. I got plenty of noodles.
Speaker 1Actually.
Speaker 2I might need to stock up on my noodles again. Because I think we got so many noodles I had to start going through them.
Speaker 1Right, because my thing was is if you got, oh my, I know.
Speaker 2What? Two years ago Jody went through this.
Speaker 1No, it might have been COVID. It was COVID. It was when the supply chain was all messed up.
Speaker 2We had so much toilet paper.
Speaker 1No, we really didn't to begin with.
Speaker 2It was coming out of our ears, but we slowly built it up.
Speaker 1Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that. But anyway, back to the noodles. It's really, if you spend 20 bucks on noodles, If you get you a little stockpile of the spaghetti noodles or anything like that and then get you some sauce some cans of Hunt's sauce. What do we eat Del Monte? What kind of spaghetti sauces?
Speaker 2If you get you some sauce. I'm not that good wife that makes her own sauce.
Speaker 1It goes down. I'm just trying to finish what I'm saying, as you interrupt me every time.
Speaker 2If it goes down and you don't have anything to eat if you've got some noodles and you've got some sauce to put on it. But how are you going to cook those?
Speaker 1noodles. You've got carbs. You're getting some protein.
Speaker 2You are going to be full, you've got to cook the noodles on the fire because your grills I mean your grid's down.
Speaker 1That's not going to be a problem.
Speaker 2But if you don't have propane, well, you better have propane and you better have a backup.
Speaker 1I think amanda should listen to three wheels, no direction podcast, when we did our survival episode and you would know exactly what to do right I think you should stop talking about them.
Speaker 2I think you should promote ours.
Speaker 1I'm cross advertising if you'll listen to to today's episode that is being released. Three Wheels, no Direction. Hey, I give a good shout-out to this, that and other. I give you shout-outs all the time on that one.
Speaker 2You don't give me enough credit. No, you don't. That big old turtle is getting me. I think you need to go down there and I'm going to video it.
Speaker 1And we're going to talk about it. Well, you, but there's like 12 turtle heads sticking out of the water, yeah, but that one is big I know he's huge. I know they're waiting on me. They're usually fed by now. I haven't gone down there, I'm uh some of the dogs.
Speaker 2They haven't been fed either I know because your child's in the bed, I know we'll talk about that in a second.
Speaker 1But I'm really upset with tractor supply because they didn't have catfish food. They keep running out. I can't get my 50 pound bag of catfishfish food and they're the only option Nobody else has. You know what I had to do.
Speaker 2Ace, don't have it, nope why.
Speaker 1You know what I had to do. I had to buy just a cheap old bag of dog food and let it soak. I can throw that out there, but it's not the same.
Speaker 2Not the same, but they're depending on me now.
Speaker 1Yeah, everybody's depending, yeah, so anyway, so I'm about two hours late on feeding them, so they're ready to eat.
Speaker 2And then here comes another creature on the side of us.
Speaker 1Back to the dogs not being fed yet. The reason the dog hadn't been fed yet is because Nicholas fell back asleep, because he went to a concert.
Speaker 2If this creature jumps up here, I'm going to kick it.
Speaker 1He went to a concert last night in Hotlanta and got home at almost 4 o'clock this morning. He got a little bit of sleep, then he was up and then he uh, fell back asleep a little while ago and I tried to wake him up. I told him, I said you better get up. I said you ain't gonna sleep tonight. I said then the dogs need to be fed. So I don't know if he got up or not I'm sure he did.
Speaker 1You know, I was shocked like that creature I was shocked was caught a cat it's a creature I was shocked at how you couldn't hear all this wildlife on the recording from last week.
Speaker 2I know that's what makes it good to me. And then you turn around and you can't hear it.
Speaker 1But you could hear the neighbor's dog.
Speaker 2Can you hear the boat right now?
Speaker 1I hear it very good I hear it very well. We'll see.
Speaker 2We'll see if y'all hear it.
Speaker 1It's through the hosting platform that we use. They take out background noise. Yes, honey, it's the pontoon that we're looking at. That's going by.
Speaker 2Pontoon don't usually sound like that, does it?
Speaker 1Anyway, they take out background noise and stuff like that and it muffles it a lot.
Speaker 2He gets tired of me.
Speaker 1I like to try and finish my statement.
Speaker 2I don't like him to finish it.
Speaker 1I know I like to interrupt him, I know.
Speaker 2I like to push those buttons.
Speaker 1Yeah, let me ask you something here we go. No, I want you to explain something to me, because I don't understand. You do the TikTok a lot. Yes, correct me if I'm wrong. Yes, sir, seems like you do TikTok a lot, an awful lot.
Online Moderation and Social Media Strategies
Speaker 2I do TikTok shop, I do TikTok, tiktok.
Speaker 1You do this moderator thing with people, yeah, and I don't understand or have a clue what that means, as a pontoon's coming by and let's see what kind of looks we get, having a mic in my hand and I'm gonna wave at them your phones.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'm gonna holler at them.
Speaker 1Come on in oh, they're slowing down why does this happen every time? They're stopping. They are stopping, y'all I'm looking at you, I'm waving at them. No, don't wave, I'm waving. Is that your favorite neighbor?
Speaker 2I'm looking at you, I'm waving at them. No, don't wave, I'm waving. Is that your favorite neighbor?
Speaker 1I'm looking at you.
Speaker 2I'm looking at them, I'm acting like I'm talking to you.
Speaker 1I'm actually pointing at you, I love it.
Speaker 2Are they looking right now? Yeah, they're looking, they are looking hard, are they really?
Speaker 1Yeah, they are. Is that me like we're talking? Yeah, look at me like we're waving.
Speaker 2I'm waving at them. They're like what the heck are y'all doing? Crazy folks like you're drinking you, a tall boy, I feel very uncomfortable right now.
Speaker 1Why, I don't know. I just always get like this, oh my goodness I don't like to be over it.
Speaker 2I down by 10 people you know, just I love it.
Speaker 1I was gonna get up and dance for them so you're a moderator and I don't understand what that is for t so go in, give us a couple of minutes and explain to me how this works and all that stuff.
Speaker 2Well, I've just made friends on TikTok and they do TikTok shop, which is where you buy products from TikTok and then you can turn around and sell them and make a profit off of them. I've started doing a little bit of that. I've sold some. I don't really understand exactly how the commission works. You don't get your commission until the return policy is over. Like they got 30 days to return it or something.
Speaker 1So how do you keep up with all that?
Speaker 2You go in there and look at it and it tells you it'll it'll say pending until until, like whatever their return policy is. I've just made friends with people and she started having a lot of bad. One lady started having a lot of bad comments in her in her live when she would go live with these products and is it because of her? No, it's just because they're being jerks sound like something I do a lot, a lot of them, a lot of it's bots.
Speaker 2I just tell them hey, or they'll ask, hey, is there any moderators in here? And I'll be like that cat's getting your food.
Speaker 1There ain't nothing I can do, right, getting the catfish food it's eating it. Well, I'm podcasting right now, so there's not a whole lot I can do.
Speaker 2You might not have none.
Speaker 1Instead of get.
Speaker 2She asked me to be a moderator and so now she'll tell me when she goes live with this certain item. She goes live with several things, but this one item it really gets people going and I don't know why, but they just come out of the woodwork. They're just mean. I just go in and block them or mute them, tell them to keep scrolling. So by me doing that they will push me out there and tell people to hey, follow her. She does nails, blah, blah, blah. So that's how I've had a lot of um, new customers I just help people, they help me that's what.
Speaker 1That's what it's about.
Speaker 2Yeah, that's what I like. They push me out. I help them in their life, so that's about it.
Speaker 1And that's it. So you just do it out of the kindness of your heart.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Well, how long does this last?
Speaker 2I mean, so do they get a hold of you ahead of time and be like hey, I'm about to she about 30 minutes before she went live and said hey, I'm going live in 20 minutes, are you available? If not, it's okay, but if you are, I was going to see if you could jump on and of course I wasn't doing anything, so I told her sure, and then for that she gives me shout-outs and people come follow my page.
Speaker 1How many people follow her? How does that work?
Speaker 2Oh, she's got lots, I don't know how many. She's got lots. I don't know how many she's got.
Speaker 1She's got lots Like a few thousand or like over 10,000. I don't have any luck with TikTok.
Speaker 2Yeah, they don't like you.
Speaker 1They don't like me. That's twice. I put a. I just do the Instagram page for the other podcast and so when I tried to oh, now I know, are you.
Speaker 2are you doing your videos on Instagram first?
Speaker 1No.
Speaker 2You're not getting your music from Instagram. No, it didn't have anything to do with that.
Speaker 1So this is what I did was I've got the chat on AI app and so you can go on there and you can have them. You know it can do. It can create a social media post for you. You basically tell it kind of what you want you know. Say, create me a post for you. You basically tell it kind of what you want you know, say, say, create me a post for tiktok video, say, and anyway, I did one on the survival episode. So it spit one out. I read it looked good, all that kind of stuff. I went into tiktok, applied music to it, did all that stuff. And the next thing I know I get a a thing where it says that community guidelines violation and so I went in there to see what it says. But it says violation reasons and I can't hardly read this right now. It says synthetic and manufactured media. I've got one hand holding my phone. I've got one hand holding a microphone.
Speaker 2You may come put your glasses on, so I can't do that, yeah.
Speaker 1So it says violation reasons synthetic and manipulated media. We welcome the creativity that new artificial intelligence and other digital technologies may unlock. However, ai can make it more difficult to distinguish between fact and fiction, and it keeps going on. So, basically, it recognized that AI made the post post.
Speaker 2Didn't matter what the post was about, what it had in it, what hashtags it had, it just recognized it as being yeah, yeah and spit it out and violated so I've had music violations, but the funny thing is but I'm using the music like that they're offering yeah, that was mine, and they took the music off of it like an old video, like that I made last year. I come across it and, uh, it said blocked music.
Speaker 2So I'm like I don't get it it came from your it's like they're setting you up it came from your thing, you know that's, yeah, I know, and I've just come to the conclusion.
Speaker 1I'm just tired of creating user ids, I'm tired of creating profiles, I'm tired of remembering passwords notes I'm tired of logging into everything and notes and more notes, yes, and more notes.
Speaker 2So I'm just tired of it, are you?
Speaker 1yeah, because everything has to and you, you don't want a different password for every single thing I do my same password for everything. I know, I know, and then when you have one that you have to change and then it just messes me all up. So you, I go into my notes and I've got like where all my logins are for every single thing, because a lot of them are different, because over time you know, you just, oh, it's just frustrating, stupid logins had to do that on tv a while ago, didn't I?
Speaker 2yeah, yeah, right.
Speaker 1Yeah, everything wants you to create a profile, but what?
Speaker 2did I get to do? It had a QR code. I could go up there and scan it. Yeah, and I did that and it went straight to my account. Qr codes are pretty awesome, so that was cool.
Speaker 1Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out. Spotify has a. It's not a QR code, but it's a barcode type thing that you can scan or certain songs or all songs. I don't know if it goes for podcasts too, but it's specific for that song yeah. Is it just songs?
Speaker 2I think so People can have things made, like you can have a plaque made and have like, say, minding your Wedding song on there, and so it would look like the music on there and then you can scan that and it'll play it how nifty I know all this technology I know who thinks up this stuff.
Speaker 1Who is that person that's sitting behind that desk just sitting there just thinking. That's all they do all day long is thinking and coming up with the new, the new thing not me has a long tail, it sure does.
Speaker 2What's wrong with it? Something's wrong with it. Something's wrong with it Because look, it keeps going.
Speaker 1I don't know, maybe that's normal.
Speaker 2Maybe I don't think so. We had two squirrels one time. Did we talk about that? No, I do know one thing, pat and Jimmy.
Speaker 1I know, yeah, I know the more episodes you do on a podcast. Hey, let me tell something too doing two podcasts, you really don't know who you've talked to, what you've talked about and when you talked about it. You don't know if you talked like me and you, if we've talked about it, you know to ourselves, or if it was during a recording, I don't we have most of the time.
Speaker 2You tell me to hush hush, let me talk no, you tell me, hush, we're not gonna talk about it till the podcast. Oh yeah, so we don't talk. No, we don't talk anymore. Yeah, I don don't talk anymore. Yeah, I don't do that anymore, we just sit there in silence.
Speaker 1Yeah, I don't do that. No, I have. The reason we're recording outside again is because it seemed like last week it was just it flowed, so you weren't enclosed, you didn't have four walls around you. To this it's like I can just look out there at the water and just easier, don't you think?
Speaker 2oh, we should record um out here on uh.
Speaker 1Fourth of july. Yeah, what day is that on that night, thursday?
Speaker 2I think it's on thursday pretty sure yeah well, you sure it's not a good day for me?
Speaker 1yeah, that's not I'll have to work what was I?
Speaker 2so? What else have we done?
Phone Case Dilemma and Medical Updates
Speaker 1this oh, my otter box oh, there's no more my phone. Otter otter box. I've always had otter box. I've always liked Otterboxes. I know they're bulky A lot of people don't like them.
Speaker 2I don't like them because they're bulky, I just don't trust myself with a regular phone. But you've seen me drop mine in there.
Speaker 1I know. Well, that's on you, I know.
Speaker 2Don't think you're getting another one.
Speaker 1I might. You're going to have to iPhone 7 if you break this 15 that you got.
Speaker 2Doubt it.
Speaker 1Yeah, going back to the Stone Age. Doubt it Sorry.
Speaker 2We don't even own a 7. It's funny how you get the newest phone. Yeah, we do, it's in there.
Speaker 1Do an upgrade and you're the one that gets it. How funny is that? You just took it. You just took the upgrade, took it out from under me and Nicholas Nicholas got upgrades. What did Jody get? Nothing but heartache and a bill. You know why Because? Jody didn't want one. I think I was asked after the fact. It's like I get the phone call. Hey, we're down at the Apple store. We're all getting new phones Just letting you know no no, no, take it back.
Speaker 1I think that's the way I remember it Well you better take it back. I'm good with my phone.
Speaker 2I just need an OtterBox, yeah we got you something, but I don't want to spend 50 bucks on an OtterBox. Don't you like how thin it is, though, without that OtterBox on there?
Speaker 1I do like it thin. It's just a piece of metal.
Speaker 2It's sleek, ain't it it is.
Speaker 1But I don't like touching the screen all the time. Every time I just pick it up, I'm babying. It is what I'm doing. I'm afraid it's going to slide out of my hands.
Speaker 2Oh, that could easily slide, I'm afraid. I'm going to. I've got a thing you can put on it.
Speaker 1Well, I've got a screen protector on it.
Speaker 2No, I've got a case you can put on it. It's black leopard print.
Speaker 1But what's like an OtterBox that protects it? Are there good ones? Just like an OtterBox that guarantees you know to be dropped from 10 feet and it's still going to be gone? Probably not. I don't know what makes OtterBox stand out above the rest.
Speaker 2I don't know, were they the first?
Speaker 1Why is it called OtterBox?
Speaker 2Yeah, you got a box in your hand. Why don't you look at it, can?
Speaker 1you answer any of these questions.
Speaker 2No, but that box you got in your hand can yeah.
Speaker 1I'm struggling over here Holding this mic. That's the only thing about being out here.
Speaker 2Why are you holding?
Speaker 1it, because I have no way if I sit it down.
Speaker 2Because you can't keep your hands down.
Speaker 1Next, next subject.
Speaker 2He gets so ill with me. Anyway, had your MRI this week.
Speaker 1That's right, I did Talk about it.
Speaker 2I don't think you're a happy camper with it, although I have to say I feel like you feel better because you got a procedure too.
Speaker 1What have I had? I don't think we've even said anything really about what do you mean? What have you had?
Speaker 2Why have I had MRI and why have yeah, we talked about your back surgeries and stuff.
Speaker 1We didn't talk about my leg issue. That's what's brought me up to this.
Speaker 2I thought we mentioned it last week that you were going to have to go and that's some kind of leg issue. Yeah, just got a cluster of nerves, A sciatic nerve.
Speaker 1Cluster of nerves in the L4 vertebrae. That's giving me problems and hopefully these injections will work and, if not, surgery. But whatever Maybe not, so yeah anyway. So this is the fun part of the story is my having the MRI. Is that the last one I had?
Speaker 2Wait, okay, talk about the last one, then I'm going to talk. I want to mention something before you get your next one.
Speaker 1Okay, so go ahead, yeah yeah, so I've had like four MRIs, really Totally. Yeah, I had one on my back eight years ago. I had one on my neck four years ago, anyway. So I had one on my neck four years ago because I ended up having to have surgery. I had some disc fused together. I'm a bionic man. Eventually, that's not the part of the story story, but I had a very difficult time in the mri. You know, it's like I don't know what do you call it? Uh, anxiety attack? Yeah, I was like I was to that point yeah only I've never had one that was exactly like this.
Speaker 1They kept doing like you know we're uh, you know, hold your breath for 30 seconds. It would tell you everything to do and then it was like this the next test will take seven minutes. I think all this gets in the back of your mind then you got that guy, you just sock yourself that guy tells you it's really important that you stay very still on this one stuff like that.
Medical MRI Preparation and Mishaps
Speaker 1So he is really. He got in my head and I'm like I couldn't keep myself from like jerking. I had like a nervous twitch. You know, it was just crazy and to the point to where we had to redo a few of them because I was moving and I couldn't help it. It was like this involuntary thing that I just could not keep from happening. So, anyway, I swore them down. I cannot ever do that again. So do I need to stop there? And you're gonna start because I'm done with that story okay, so guess what?
Speaker 2he's gonna have to have one done again because he hadn't had one. In how long did it it been? It had been a minute.
Speaker 1On my back. Yeah, yeah, it had been eight years since my back surgery. So the open no, it wasn't open MRI, so the MRI place I called and asked them You're leading up to me having this one this past week. Yeah, okay, that's what it is.
Speaker 2I called and asked them do they have an open MRI? And they said no, no, but your doctor can call you in some medicine that can calm your nerves down. And I said okay, and so the the doctor he called that in. I go to pick up the medicine. And the lady okay, I think y'all know I'm a drive-thru person and Jodi's not. I think we've had that discussion before I go through the drive-thru at the pharmacy, the lady comes to the window and she is laughing and I'm like oh no, what's happened now? Because we've had a deal with the pharmacy and the doctor over the last several weeks, whatever. So, anyway, I'm like what's happening now? And she says that'll be nonsense. I said what? And she just is laughing and she said yeah, that'll be nine cents.
Speaker 1So it was just one. It was just one pill.
Speaker 2And it was nine cents. And she said because I already had my card out to give her. Because you know, I don't carry cash. Jody carries my cash, he gets on to me.
Speaker 1But I'm shaking my head.
Speaker 2So I got my card out to give to her and I'm like I am not using it, probably reject your card for nine cents, I don't know. Luckily I do have some change over here in the door handle. She's like if you ain't got it, don't worry about it. All right, I'll put nine cents in. So I gave her a dime and said there you can keep that penny for the next person that needs nine cents so I don't understand.
Speaker 1To me it looks like there'd just be a minimum, like it's going to be at least three dollars. Yeah, I mean, I don't care something.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, if it's something that's that low. You're getting one pill three dollars.
Speaker 1Yeah, okay, whatever because that's on and I understand it's not a lot of work, but but it's more than nine cents work, you know.
Speaker 2They're printing out. They're using a bottle for one pill.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2They're printing a label Well, you're still having to do. They're putting it in a bag.
Speaker 1You're having to go do the same steps where it's 90 pills or one pill. You're going through the same procedure. It's crazy, yeah.
Speaker 2So then anyway, the lady tells me that's a baby boat, by the way.
Speaker 1Yeah, that's a little one.
Speaker 2So now we've got the pill and everything and the lady at the MRI place says he don't need to take it until he gets here, in case we're behind. She said because sometimes we can get behind. So like I, might have to wait like an hour or something like that.
Speaker 1Yeah, and they didn't want it to wear off. Well, guess what? So no, we. So get there, and it's like we're here. And then you ask it like, does he need to go? Yeah, he can go ahead and take it. So, yeah, so I go ahead and take it.
Speaker 2And then she said tell him to come on back here and we just look at each other like there's no way this has had time.
Speaker 1I know, I know I struggled, my goodness it was and then he said he got right back in his head yeah, I got in there and I tell you and I I told my mom this morning about, I said I was in there, I said I was kayaking with jesus, I was trying to put my mind anywhere else besides being in that tube of that mri, because it was.
Speaker 2It was horrible, it's absolutely horrible but tell them what happened before you could go in. Oh, I forgot about that.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, so like they're, like you got any. Yeah, we've got a locker you can put all your you know valuables, anything I said yeah, I said I need to take my wedding ring off and I said the wallet. And so, uh, did I take?
Speaker 2there wasn't my watch you had your ring off too, because you're just putting it on when you're coming out so it was my watch, your watch.
Speaker 1Okay, my watch and my ring. That was only the only two things I had your wallet?
Speaker 2Yeah, because I kept your wallet.
Speaker 1That's right, because you said Of course, yeah, of course that was a stupid laugh, so yeah, so she brings me in there and she Listen, there's like a little safe right there and a little dial right there, and she's telling me. She said okay, she said hit the C. And I'm like I can't even read it. I'm like leaning back, I'm like which one is it? Whatever? So I have to have her to open it up.
Speaker 2I've got to get him some of those glasses that just go around your naked clip.
Speaker 1And then so when you close it she's like all right, pick out like a four-digit code that hit the M button and I can't read anything that's on this little thing because I can't get far enough away from it, so anyway. So then I go in there and here I am, already a bundle of nerves. I get up there and it gives me the earplugs, he puts a pillow underneath my feet, kind of explains this kind of stuff, and then I am slowly going into the little tube. You hear it. I'm going in there and I get halfway in and I say I said oh, I forgot my phone. It's in my pocket. And then he like grabs my hip and he says do not take it. He stops the thing. He says do not pull it out of your pocket. He said, because that machine, he said, will grab onto it of your pocket. He said because that machine.
Speaker 1He said he'll grab onto it. He said he'll slam it up against the top of that thing.
Speaker 2So my goodness, I'm like, here we go, so it's starting off great. How do these machines?
Speaker 1I have retainers in my mouth he told me that everything, just like I told him I said before I went in there. I said you have hardware yeah, I said I've got six screws and a plate in my neck. He said it's titanium. He said they do. All this is surgical metal that they use so that's different.
Speaker 2Yeah, yeah, I hope this retainer is. I know, because that was you know.
Speaker 1Yeah because that's what I think about too. I feel like I'm in there and all this stuff's going to be ripped out of my neck and I'm going to be stuck to the top of this thing.
Speaker 2It's just terrible but yeah, but it's crazy how you can work yourself up, though, but how?
Speaker 1But how did I forget my stupid phone?
Speaker 2I'm getting everything and putting it in my phone.
Speaker 1Yeah and oh. What a mess it would have been if I'd have got in there. I would have done that.
Speaker 2You would have flipped that off. I would have done MRI, I would have just been done, you would have been done. Yeah, yeah so.
Speaker 1Does it fry your phone? I would say it sticks, they can't get.
Speaker 2Right, I don't know, I guess they could. When they turned it off, I guess it would come off.
Speaker 1I saw a video one time where they had some guys that were doing some work. It was just like some construction workers. They were just going to have to do something in the room of the MRI and the guy brought in like a two-wheeler, like a hand truck thing, and he got too close to the machine and it slammed that hand truck up against the MRI and you couldn't pull it off with all that power. So it's always been in my head too.
Speaker 2so that's crazy. So that was our fun for the week, wasn't?
Speaker 1it. So anyway. So after I get all that up and by the time my doctor is upstairs so we go up there and by the time they he gets the readings and everything, I'm like I'm cool as a cucumber because you know what the medicine is kicked in, and I'm as relaxed as everything.
Speaker 2And then he comes walking down after the procedure by himself and ain't even supposed to.
Speaker 1Supposed to have somebody with him.
Speaker 2You're supposed to have somebody with you.
Speaker 1Yeah, broke all the rules that day and I just see him walking down by himself.
Speaker 2I'm like, oh, he just walked out, yeah, but anyway.
Speaker 1But other than that it's all good. So anyway, we'll get off that subject.
Speaker 2What else we got going on Vacation Bible School next week.
Speaker 1Well, it starts today, because this releases on Monday.
Speaker 2Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I was going to lie. No, it don't start today.
Speaker 1We're recording this on Saturday. It's released on Monday.
Speaker 2So starting today.
Speaker 1Yeah, how many days is it? Is it four days or is it five? Five Is it Five? How many kids do we normally average? Can you give a roundabout About?
Speaker 2150. 150 kids, I'm going to say 150. I will give it to. I don't it's give or take every day.
Speaker 1I don't want to. You know, I don't know who all has been involved. I know a lot of people have been involved with setting it up. She's handling all of it right and she's the main person, yeah, and she is the director yeah, she has got it looking good all the decorations, all the planning, everything that they've done. Here comes another pontoon boatload.
Speaker 2Jody's gonna be quiet. I'm gonna look the other way, keep going. I'm gonna wave and smile, so anyway so yeah, she's done.
Speaker 1It looks very good, looks very good. We went up there and decorated for Father's Day. Yeah, just a little while yesterday and today.
Speaker 2Yeah.
Speaker 1Put a thing up in our sanctuary, took one of our kayaks and put the kayak on the stage.
Speaker 2Everybody's going to be surprised tomorrow as a decoration piece.
Speaker 1Got a grill up there, got a little reclining.
Speaker 2Took my wall down out. Yeah, your little Out of my studio.
Speaker 1I wish I knew what that's called the greenery that we've got hooked to the wall.
Speaker 2Yeah, grass, grass wall.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's just a little 15 by 15 square grass pieces that hook together. I don't know. I'm sure it's got some kind of certain name.
Speaker 2I'm sure which was a booger to get down, and I'm really dreading putting it back up. I'm sorry, yeah, but you love me, you do anything. I ask right yeah, I'm done.
Speaker 1I just want to get a response out of you you're gonna get a response, don't get a response say, we were gonna try and uh, video this so you could see the boats and stuff, what we're looking at, and, uh, I just wasn't up to it. I wasn't up to the challenge, I was gonna try and then I'm, maybe next time, if y'all want us, maybe if y'all want us to start videoing these episodes.
Speaker 2You still could video it and put short clips. Yeah, I could do that, I mean.
Speaker 1Only if the people want it.
Speaker 2So people let me know Got to comment. I ain't seen the first comment. I know Got a comment.
Speaker 1I ain't seen the first comment. I know, and maybe by the time this comes out, there's going to be an option to send a text to our podcast.
Speaker 2So it should be on.
Speaker 1It's an option that was sent to me for the other podcast. I was not received it on this one and I don't know why. So I've got to research and see if it's available for this, but it's very simple. So I've got to research and see if it's available for this, but it's very simple. Above the description of the episode it'll say send the podcast a text, or text the podcast, and you just hit it. It takes you to the screen like you're going to text a family member. Put your text in and press send, and then I get the notification.
Speaker 1It doesn't come up like your name or anything like that. All'll end up showing up is like, say, the area code, say if you're in nebraska, it would show up a county in nebraska, something like that. But it's pretty cool that way. You don't have to worry about doing the email or anything like that. It's so much easier. You just hit the button text away and hit send and you've notified us. So yeah, if you got any comments, suggestions, something you want us to talk about, tell us something you don't like about me, which I? I know there's nothing right, that's right. I want to hear from my fan club. I know they're out there, don't you think they are?
Speaker 2yeah, you got a big one yeah they're everywhere everywhere show me some support. Tell me who you are it's's all about you, why not us?
Speaker 1You get all kinds of attention.
Speaker 2I don't get nothing.
Speaker 1I don't get attention. I want my own little fan club. I want my own. Can I have some minions? Jody's minions?
Speaker 2Yeah, they're right out there in the yard.
Speaker 1I know I have to feed them and take care of them.
Speaker 2I don't see the turtles anymore.
Speaker 1It's like I'm the government and all these animals are my peasants. Oh, lol, that's exactly what it is here. Peasants, here's you a little bit of food.
Speaker 2Let's go into his head.
Speaker 1No, well, I just started talking about the government. I'll get off that.
Speaker 2Oh, let's get off that.
Speaker 1We're going to have an episode, we're going to get into the government one sometime going to have an episode. We're going to get into the government one sometime, then you'll be talking by yourself.
Speaker 2No, because you're going to be involved.
Speaker 1I'm gonna no see what you think about certain things.
Speaker 2No, because I don't like the government oh, they're listening right now.
Speaker 1How dare you say something like that?
Speaker 2I mean, I like to talk about okay, that's better, that's better, that's what I got you for, and if I need to know something, you'll tell me, and if I don't, it's fine we both don't need to be on the list.
Speaker 1It's okay for one of us, since I'm already on the list.
Speaker 2You're already on there, yeah so that watch list yeah, all right what else?
Speaker 1was there something else I?
Speaker 2don't think we're gonna be busy this week. We'll have a good episode next week, probably talk about vbs. What is this one? This is the best what is this trash?
Speaker 1what am I here best? What is this?
Speaker 2trash. What am I out here doing then, exactly?
Speaker 1So I've worked hard at several of these episodes and I can just throw that out the window, because now you're being like oh the next one's going to be good.
Speaker 2No.
Speaker 1Why is it going to be good? I don't know, just because of EBS.
Speaker 2Yeah, I'll just sit back and let you talk, let you have it.
Speaker 1Seems like that's what I do a lot of the time anyway.
Speaker 2That's what you say.
Speaker 1For somebody that doesn't like to talk. I sure do a lot of it on this microphone, don't I?
Speaker 2I think you like it.
Speaker 1I do like it. This is what I want. I think you just got there by fool. I'm going to quit my career. Can you call it a career? All right, my job. How about that?
Speaker 2I'm going to throw it to the wayside, and I'm gonna be a professional podcaster.
Speaker 1Well, you, we're gonna be struggling for a while, honey, I was gonna say uh, go ahead and load up on them ramen noodles.
Speaker 2Yeah, you might need to go ahead and buy them grocers now wouldn't that be cool though if that's what I want to do, if you could dedicate your time, I want to be a what do you call it?
Speaker 1a content creator content, if you could just do that, because let me tell you it takes time all right all this stuff I do exactly. I know, yeah, I know with you too, but on, from my point of view, when you've got a full-time job, if you just got one podcast, it's one thing. So now I'm trying to hover with two podcasts and we're recording two or three episodes at a time and then editing and then scheduling it and getting it cnn and adding music, coming up with subject, all this kind of stuff.
Speaker 2It uh yeah, and you used to be that person that was never on your phone, was never into social media or nothing. You would get on to me all the time, get off your phone, get off your phone, and now you're the one doing it it's.
Speaker 1It's all about the podcast, though it's not like. It's not like I'm on Facebook or Instagram or something like that.
Speaker 2You're all the time posting.
Speaker 1All the time.
Speaker 2Go look and see the last time I posted Yesterday. The last one, I posted got.
Speaker 1I didn't post yesterday. One day this week, thank you, but one yesterday.
Speaker 2Didn't post about this podcast.
Speaker 1And I gave you a picture last week to post. I know, you didn't post, I forgot all about it. My apologies, I got a lot on my plate.
Speaker 2So well, that's what happened.
Speaker 1When you're trying to go big buddy, I know, I know can't handle the pressure, but what I'm saying is, yeah, by the time when you do all that, it's a lot of work. If you've got a regular job and then you're trying to do this on the side it is, and trying to figure out how to cut grass and weed eating and all that stuff too. Get the oil changed in the vehicle. Yeah, take care of things. Trying to keep a wife happy. Trying to keep a wife from taking that other foot out the door.
Speaker 1Really she's about out I think last time you was talking about that.
Speaker 2That's why you was cutting your hair, remember, you kept getting a haircut trying to let it grow, trying to get rid of me. I think I'm gonna let it grow, I just need it colored. I need these roots colored. How about? How about we do an episode on that? I, I let you color it color your hair yeah, color my roots oh, you know, we've grass cutting people are here. We might have to cut it short it's not grass cutting people well, it sounded like a truck with a trailer on it.
Speaker 2So that's why I thought it was the grass cutters not our grass cutters.
Speaker 1We don't do that.
Speaker 2We cut our own I don't, you won't let me I cut my own.
Speaker 1That's right, I like cutting it. Oh, I was gonna say something about hair color? I don't know if it's about hair color. I'm just gonna see here till.
Speaker 2I think I say that a lot. Juddy says I said it anyway. A lot you say, that a lot.
Speaker 1Jodi says I say it anyway a lot you say so a lot so so, but you do it slow, so Go, so Anyway.
Speaker 2We critique each other a lot, so we need to cut that out.
Speaker 1Anyway, let me ask you a question.
Speaker 2There we go.
Speaker 1You say I say that all the time.
Speaker 2You do, just ask it. Don't say let me ask you one, just ask it.
Speaker 1So the lake has died? It sure has. There's like nothing going on, even the wind. The wind has died, the flag is not.
Speaker 2Oh, I see barely movement.
Speaker 1Even the animals have gone away.
Speaker 2They have flown the coop. I know Well, it is almost 8 o'clock.
Speaker 1I know the turtles are still waiting, yeah.
Speaker 2It's time I got to go do a live. I got to go to my other job, you know what I get to do. You got to edit.
Speaker 1I got to go in there and edit this one. I came out here because I got done editing the other one.
Speaker 2That's all you do.
Speaker 1I know it takes a while I got to figure out when supper. When am I going to eat supper?
Speaker 2What do we have for supper today?
Speaker 1Pizza, lunch and supper when enough for two days. Well, that's, that's the thing we like, had to schedule it. We had to have pizza this time because there was no way around it of like fixing anything. Yeah, there just wasn't between going back and forth to church.
Speaker 2Yeah, because we had to meet a couple of people and then we didn't know, and they were both late, and then he had to do that other thing and and so yeah, like well, we're just doing pizza. I wanted to get the grill cleaned up so we could grill for Father's Day tomorrow, but that didn't happen.
Speaker 1Nope.
Speaker 2And I don't want to clean it tomorrow.
Speaker 1Nope me neither.
Speaker 2We'll just use the air fryer. It does good steaks. I want a check eye.
Speaker 1I want to sleep late. That's what I want.
Speaker 2You say that and you will never sleep late, I know I ask you, please don't set your alarm, just wake up when you wake up.
Speaker 1I don't care if you wake up early listen please don't set that dang alarm, but the only option I have on sleeping late is saturday exactly sunday is not an option. It's not sunday. I have to get up like 5.50. I have to set that alarm.
Speaker 2Why do you have to get up on Sunday?
Speaker 1I have to go do work and then when we get done with that, I have to get to church to start cooking for the kids.
Speaker 2Yeah, but you don't have to be at church until 8.30.
Speaker 1Exactly, but I'm rushed to get the work I've got to get done. Why I've got to get done? Why you got to do it.
Speaker 2Send him. I've got to Send him.
Speaker 1I've already explained this to you, I'm not explaining it again on the podcast.
Speaker 2You can explain to him what to do and he can do it. No, that's not.
Speaker 1He knows what to do.
Speaker 2Okay, then let him do it. That's not it.
Speaker 1I have to know, I need information, so I have to go. He can that information.
Speaker 2It's just not the way you want it.
Speaker 1I'm going to edit all this out because people ain't got a clue what we're talking about.
Speaker 2What is he talking about? You just can't let go and let somebody else do it.
Speaker 1That's not it at all. That's halfway it. No, it's not. I'm getting ate up.
Speaker 2Duck's coming in A duck.
Speaker 1Alright, as Amanda would say, alright, folks, folks, I guess this is it. This is it.
Speaker 2I guess it's time to say we ran out of time a long time ago, jody told me it was gonna be charged yeah we only had 20 minutes. What are we at? Yeah?
Speaker 1we ran over we uh, you actually have to pay for time, like that's crazy you know, depending on how long you want your podcast I mean, you can have as long as you want to, whatever, but you've got like a bundle thing so many hours that you can pay for and then when you run over you have to pay.
Speaker 2Got to pay for everything, so guess what you have to pay. So I was talking about the breeze a while ago. It looks like it might be picking up, but I barely feel it. But you say that water it's moving now.
Speaker 1Yeah, but I feel it the wind is okay now. It has hadn't it, I feel it now it feels good now, like now we can, we can keep podcasting now, yeah all right, all right, folks, we're back negative yeah, this episode we're going to have to be 14 minutes long, because if it was 15 minutes we'd ran over our time so we're at uh over 50 minutes right now.
Speaker 2So I guess you better cut her down, make this two episodes.
Speaker 1Yeah Well, it don't matter, still ran over.
Speaker 2It don't matter about the episodes you don't release, but the 15 minutes and then when our thing re renews, then you do it.
Speaker 1I think we're still going to be in that time limit of it's not going to be time to renew by the time the next episode comes out.
Speaker 2So we have to skip a week, but we already got one, so we don't have to worry about recording.
Speaker 1People's like what are they talking about? I'm even more confused.
Speaker 2All right.
Speaker 1All right, we appreciate you listening.
Speaker 2This is a hodgepodge one. Why?
Speaker 1do you say that?
Speaker 2We're just talking. I like that word.
Speaker 1Yeah, but we're just talking.
Speaker 2I like that word Hush-push.
Speaker 1That's all we're doing is talking, talking, enjoying life. If people wanted to talk about their life, I'd listen.
Speaker 2It feels so much better out here than it did today. I tried to sit out here. What was the?
Speaker 1high. Was it like in the high 90s? Yes, it sure felt like it it had to be.
Speaker 2The thermometer that we had in the refrigerator, because I'm still scared it's going to go out, said you just need to get over that.
Speaker 1Don't be afraid of that refrigerator, fill it up.
Speaker 2It said at like 730 this morning. It said 85 outside, because it's one of those thermometers that does outside and inside and when I got up this morning I got some a drink.
Speaker 1So you opened up the refrigerator to find out what the temperature is outside.
Speaker 2Yeah, I opened the fridge to get some water.
Speaker 1Oh I love that little thermometer. Hey, there's the water patrol.
Speaker 2Uh-oh.
Speaker 1He's booking it. I think it's time for him to go home. He's out.
Speaker 2He's hungry.
Speaker 1Yeah, I love that thermometer. You know, so you can tell what it is outside. I don't know. I think it's a thing when you get older too. Why do we have to know what the temperature is? Why do we have to talk about it all the time? What's the temperature?
Speaker 2Anyway, we need to go. What's the weather going to?
Speaker 1be like tomorrow. What's the temperature? Is it going to be hot? Yeah, it's going to be hot, it's.
Speaker 2June. It's June in the morning and whatever it is, it is if it's raining. Guess what I need to dress for? Rethink your yeah, whatever. Because you work outside, yeah, all right guys, I'm done are you sure?
Speaker 1yeah, maybe you just can't let go, can you?
Speaker 2I can. I can lay them down can, can you?
Speaker 1I know you can. You can walk right away.
