He said, be brave, my son, I'll be home soon. The boy held on to hope till he got that awful news. And as they folded up the stars and stripes, 21 guns pointed towards the sky. As the shots rang out, he flinched a little each time. Then a soldier in his best dress walked up to him and you know the rest. This show is brought to you by Operation Encore. Operation Encore is a 501c nonprofit that is helping change the lives of our veteran community. Let me tell you a little bit about what they do. They are helping veterans get into the music industry. They're helping them learn the business, get songs recorded, and not only that, they're making dreams happen. You know, most of these veterans have got the idea of becoming a musician way before they went into the military. And Operation Encore is filling that gap from while they served in the military and helping them change their lives and live out those dreams. Operation Encore is a nonprofit. You can go to this link right there and click on it. Give them a little help. Hit that donate button. Follow them. learn about all the great things that Operation Encore does for our veterans. Hey, welcome everybody to Spirits and Stories. This is your host, Donald Dunn. Hey, I'm glad all y'all are coming in and hanging out and enjoying the show. But today we've got a topic that I really enjoy. I know we kind of bounce around a little bit with some military veteran type stuff, and now we're going to go into some mental health type stuff, and we're going to get a lot of great information. So today I've got Stephanie Moyle and Jake on the show. They are Healthpreneurs with deep expertise on functional and psychedelic mushrooms, the benefits and their potential to heal mental health issues. Let's bring on Steph and Jake. Thanks so much for having us. Yeah, we're so excited. So why don't we start a little bit about some background? How did the business come about? And tell everybody a little bit about where you guys are from. Definitely. So Stephanie and I are actually cousins. So this is a family run business. We're both from Los Angeles, California. So this actually got started actually rather organically. We never set out to start a company or a brand. We just wanted to share the health benefits of these mushrooms with our community. So over COVID lockdown, I actually got into a pretty bad accident and had a broken leg so I was incapacitated for a while and I had to move home with my parents because I couldn't take care of myself and stephanie so graciously offered to move in and help take care of me so that was super nice and you know after we did the usual lockdown activities of watching Netflix and baking and whatnot. Stephanie one day asked me, Hey, do you want to grow mushrooms? And I said, of course. So we started growing mushrooms in the closet. And then we, you know, I personally wasn't super involved in mushrooms. I didn't really know too much about them, but once we started growing them and taking them and, feeling their incredible benefits and learning more about how these have been used for thousands of years for so many different medical uses, both medical and mental health wise. We felt like we had discovered this secret that not a lot of people were talking about. And we started sharing with our community and people were just blown away. So we decided, you know, we have to bring this to the world. Absolutely. Step, you want to tell everybody a little bit about yourself? Sure. Yeah, I am Stephanie. I always have to start with that, even though you just said my name. And Jake is, in fact, my cousin. And yeah, you know, I think it's so interesting looking back. Jake and I never intended to start a mushroom company together. We've had a lot of other ideas of businesses to start together and none nearly as good as this one. But it was never an intention to start a business when we first discovered mushrooms. It was very organic, I guess, pun intended. But it was it just really naturally unfolded from our passion and our love of mushrooms. And it was, you know, we just during COVID, we both were kind of lost, I guess. We weren't really sure what was going to happen with our futures. I had just lost my job. Jake had a company, but it was kind of crumbling and he had a broken leg and there was just a lot of uncertainty there. And we really just gave ourselves permission to explore. And when we discovered mushrooms, we were so fascinated. We learned all about functional mushrooms and psychedelic mushrooms. We had no idea that psychedelic mushrooms could be neuroplastic and help with so many mental ailments like depression. PTSD and depression and OCD and addiction and how functional mushrooms can help with anxiety and focus and gut health and immunity. And, you know, nature holds so many of the answers that we're looking for. And we both kind of didn't really come from that background. So coming from just, you know, we're too normal. We were just two normal people. We weren't hippies or living in the forest or anything like that. And so when we discovered mushrooms and wanted to share with our community, we wanted to do it in a way that really resonated with us and spoke to us. And Jake had the idea of making gummies because when we would go buy all of the the products out there for market testing, it would just sit there for us. And it wasn't really exciting. And Jake has always loved gummies and candy. So we decided to make gummies because that's what spoke to us. And then as we started talking to more and more people, like for instance, my mom, my mom was so excited to take them because she's so tired of taking pills. And that's the sentiment too with with older generations, people are tired of taking pills. And so we realized what resonated with us actually resonates with a lot of people. And yeah, we just decided, okay, let's, let's see what happens with this. And you said some key words. I think one of the things that happens when people discover something that is good for the body, is organic, there becomes buzzwords. You'll start seeing a lot of people just making products and throwing buzzwords at it. And one of the words you hear is functional mushrooms, right? And it seems like I'm starting to hear that more and more and more. with the advertising world. So why don't we talk a little bit about what is the difference between functional mushrooms and psychedelic mushrooms? Definitely. Functional mushrooms are also called medicinal mushrooms. They're mushrooms that have a functional benefit beyond just nutritional. For instance, lion's mane is a mushroom that is amazing for the brain, for brain health. It helps shield the brain against neurodegenerative diseases. It helps protect your neurons. It helps with nerve damage as well and inflammation in the body. So it helps with so many different things, memory focus. And that is a mushroom that's totally non-psychedelic. So that's a functional mushroom. Psychedelic mushrooms have a compound called psilocybin in them. And that is what makes them psychedelic or magic mushrooms. So psilocybin, psilocybin is also incredible. It's currently illegal, but they're now doing many studies on it and finding that it can heal the brain. It can rewrite cells. trauma, it can, so it's being used extensively for PTSD, for depression, for anxiety, for just like rewriting negative thought patterns and all of these incredible things that it can do. And so, yeah, that, that is what is the main difference between them. But both of them very powerful and have, you know, different uses. Yeah. I mean, and that's kind of where I came into it. You know, the VA has got me on medication and, you know, I wake up to this long line of bottles and pills every morning. And, uh, that's kind of, it kind of drove me to looking for alternatives to, to get off, um, all these meds. Um, don't get me wrong. What they gave me worked. It helped, you know, but you're also, there's no good days or bad days. There's just days. And, uh, That's what drove me to look for this. I've listened to a lot of veteran podcasts and I started hearing about how their psychedelic trips and everything was helping them. I reached out to a few people and it drove my peak and that's where I got into it. Then I started discovering the other benefits. you was talking about how psychedelics help more of the, the, the rewriting of the, the, the brain. Um, and I, I had a brain surgeon on here and the way he described it was amazing. I should have copyrighted it, but, uh, it's just like a bunch of little highways that run through your brain. Right. And your brain gets wrote in a certain path. And that's the path that neurons take until you change that. And the psychedelics, that's what they do. Um, The functional side, you said they're help against diseases and stuff like that. So it seems like they're more kind of more immune therapy type. Yeah. Let's say more like physical health. Yeah. That's how I always kind of display it as like the functional, like cover your physical body health and the psychedelic cover your mental health. Yep. So when I went through and I did some research on your guys, and I can't remember the name of the mushroom that you guys use, but why did you pick that particular mushroom? So we work with six different mushrooms. We have two SKUs, which are single, we have two products, which are single mushrooms. So for instance, we have one product, which is just Lion's Mane, one, which is just Reishi. And then we have our Super Troop six mushroom blend, which is Lion's Mane, Reishi, Chaga, Maitake, Cordyceps, and Turkey Tail. And we chose to work with these six mushrooms because they have the most literature and the most studies surrounding them. So more and more mushrooms are being discovered all the time and more and more research is starting to come out. We're pretty much at the iceberg of this new revolution of health. And mushrooms have so many answers that we're looking for, and we're just starting to figure it out. But we chose these six mushrooms because of the science that is surrounding them. And also, it's what people are looking for right now. Lion's Mane is a brain shield, essentially. It helps protect your brain from... the side effects of aging, like memory loss. It also helps with focus and mental clarity. It's great for your gut as well. And then reishi is kind of the jack of all trades. Helps with sleep, helps with anxiety. It helps with immunity. It's super powerful for your immune system. And then the other four mushrooms that we use have a wide range of benefits. So we call our super trooper multi-mush. And you're getting oxygenation of the blood through cordyceps, endurance, stamina, libido. Turkey tail's incredible immune boosting properties as well. Both turkey tail and maitake are being used as in conjunction with cancer treatments around the world. So I can go on and on, but we chose these because they're the most highly researched and the most exciting to us right now. That one that started with an R, that's the one that I was looking at. And there is, you know, you type it in in Google and there is a lot of stuff that comes up about it. It's fascinating the names that some of these mushrooms have, you know, and I have no idea where they come from, but I do think it is pretty cool how some of the names are put together. On the topic of names, where did the name of your company come from? Because I like the Super Troop. Yeah. Sounds great. yeah um the word troop is actually another name for a group of mushrooms okay it's actually called a troop of mushrooms so um we definitely you know you have a troop of mushrooms yeah so uh we definitely love the troops and we're all about you know being a part of a troop here And mushrooms in nature, they actually not just mushrooms, but all nature and plants are all connected by what's called mycelium. And that's what grows mushrooms and mushrooms in a troop will actually help each other out. So if one area is damaged, All the other like plants and mushrooms will actually send nutrients underneath the ground and the network to the damaged area. So they actually help each other out, which is like so fascinating. And it's really what we want to promote is that we're all part of this troop and we can help each other out in our community. That's, you know, that is funny because one of the podcasts I do listen to is the Joe Rogan show, right? And he has said this in multiple shows, but he has said the easiest way to fix all the problems in the United States is put psilocybin in the water. Yeah, you say that too. Yeah. Yeah, we've been saying this for years. We look at all the conflicts around the world. And, you know, even just like in our own government, just people, everyone, they could all benefit just from having a little bit of psilocybin. Yeah, a little bit of magic. And it is true because, I mean, I've listened to multiple podcasters and talked to multiple people, um, that do, um, take psilocybin and all of them say the same thing, you know, not just what it did for them with their PTSD, but it also said that they were more in the moment with their families. They, they, they were more into listening to people. They weren't so distracted and, and just blowing people off. They were just more into life and, and living the moment. And, and, uh, think that is exactly what the world needs. Do you think that it was impactful with your journey? I have not done it yet. Um, and, and the reason why the only reason why is because of drug tests with the, the job that I have. And, um, that's the only reason, um, I did a lot of research even to look at like, uh, micro dosing and stuff like that. Um, but yeah, I still do plan on doing it. And unfortunately I am still on the medication. I've tried several times getting off of it without any help and it, it doesn't work very well, but, um, um, But yeah, no, I fully intend to. And that was going to kind of be my other, you know, I guess it's a good segue into another topic I want to get into. A lot of people are probably in that same boat as me. They're afraid of drug tests and stuff like that just because they don't know. And the big difference, that's another difference between the functional mushroom side and the other side is you're not going to fail a drug test from functional mushrooms. No, definitely not. You can buy these functional mushrooms at grocery stores all around the country or around the world. They're fully legal. Yep. Yeah. And I, I think, like I said, I think there's just a lot of misunderstanding, um, because they're starting to hear these words so much. And, uh, the phrase, you know, magic mushrooms and stuff like that, I think would help that if, if we could get a better, better word for it, that would become more acceptable. But, uh, you know, regardless of what you call it, I mean, I've, I've heard too many people that I trust, um, knowing their background and where they come from that have talked about their journeys and, uh, it has done amazing stuff for them and stuff. Something went through was way worse than what I did. So I think, uh, um, I do definitely want to do it and it's on my, it's on my near radar. I'll put it that way. But, uh, I think, you know, The other thing, a few of the other people I had on, there is a lot of legalization push for this to become. I believe 2024, I don't know what month, they're going to legalize MDMA, I think it was, for therapy. And I've talked to a lot of people that have had good results from that. It will probably be way too expensive to help the average person at first, but I think at some point it'll be good for mental health as well. And so the key is just, you know, responsibility, you know, it was kind of BS of how magic mushrooms became thrown in a, pile of other drugs and just, you know, became made as was a schedule two, I think is what they, they made it. And it just kind of got a bad rep and it's been hard to, to get it out of that. Yeah. You know? Yeah. It's really unfortunate. Yeah. Yeah, all mushrooms seem to be grouped together. When people think mushrooms, they're thinking mushrooms on a pizza, psychedelic mushrooms, mushrooms that can kill you. And maybe they're trying to think about functional mushrooms. It's wild. You don't think of any other plant or anything else that has so much mixture involved in it. So, yeah, I mean, I think we were talking about this before. It's just part of our mission is to really educate people on these different types of mushrooms and just help people really understand what this all is. And I think through even just the short amount of time we've been doing this for about three years now, even in just that short amount of time, we've been seeing people's perceptions change and the stigma is starting to shift for sure. So that is really exciting. Yeah, absolutely. I agree. Um, so let me ask this, how long, obviously to, to make these gummies, you, you need mushrooms. How long is the growing process for, to actually make enough mushrooms for, to keep up with the demand and so forth? Well, luckily we don't make the mushrooms anymore. That would, uh, be challenging. No more closet mushrooms. Yeah. We, we grew out of the closet actually. Um, it actually took over. It was, it was my whole bedroom. It was funny because I had a broken leg and I was surrounded by these bins of mushrooms and, um, we grew, we outgrew that. And, um, yeah, now we, we have a, uh, a grower and extractor out in Colorado. We basically found, we scoured the earth and found the best quality mushrooms, all from the United States, because a lot of companies use mushrooms from China, but they've been found with heavy metals and lead in the mushrooms. And also we just want to support the United States. So everything in our product is made here from the bottles to the packaging, to the gummies, everything. And we just found super, super high quality mushrooms, all organic, sustainably harvested. There's no trees that are harmed in the harvesting. Um, and really, really potent extractions as well. Uh, we wanted to have a product that really worked. Um, we wanted something that's high quality. So when people come to us for mushrooms, they know that they're getting the best of the best. Yeah. I think trust with something like this is, is probably one of the biggest parts to the pillars for your company. So I could see how, how important that would be. Um, So what is the cost for a customer to get, say, we'll say the troop package? How much would a customer be looking to get? um so it ranges so it starts at 45 and we do 36 on subscription and we created a promo code for your listeners so I guess now is the perfect time to to tell you it's uh done d-u-n-n 20 for 20 off and um yeah and whenever we have we've had some veterans email us before and just let us know that they're veterans and we always extend a discount so anyone feel free to let us know about that always happy to support our troops and um yeah so that's and the best place to find us is our website which is being shown right now it's try troop.com t-r-y-t-r-o-o-p we're sold on amazon and some other e-commerce platforms And then our Instagram is trytroop, T-R-Y-T-R-O-O-P. Same with our TikTok. We put out some really fun, engaging content so we can continue this mission of educating people. And sometimes we run sales for different events, always something for Black Friday. So it's a really great place to stay on top of the sales and the offerings that we're doing. Absolutely. And that's why I was asking, because I'm going to be a customer. Now I get a discount too. So yeah, absolutely. A win-win. So let me ask you this with the movement of mental health, because I do think in general, mental health is is getting more focus on it. Right. And unfortunately there's a part of it. I don't like, I don't like the fact that so many people, when they hear the term mental health, they think of military guys and veterans. And I would like for that stigma to change, but at the end of the day, I do still think that is a good thing. That's coming from that is people are focusing on their mental health. And I think that's a sign that, things are going to go changing for the positive generations down the road. And it makes me happy to think that way. But what I was getting at was what role do you hope to see in the future of mushrooms playing? Do you think that at one point the magic mushrooms will become legalized and used medically? And there'll be room still for the functional mushrooms as well because they do do different things. It's kind of different, kind of like taking one vitamin and another vitamin. They're accomplished two different missions. What is your guys' goals? What is it you want to see the future bring? That's, yeah, that's a great question. And I think it's similar to what you said about like with what Joe Rogan said. Um, I genuinely believe that mushrooms can radically change the world. I would say mushrooms can save the world because I feel like it can solve, they can solve so many of our problems, um, with the functional we can. really limit the amount of like pharmaceutical products that we're taking that, you know, years down the line, they find out that actually make you more sick than even what you were trying to solve for. These mushroom functional mushrooms are preventative, so they can actually prevent you from getting dementia. They can prevent you from getting sick. They can prevent you from getting all these things. So I think on that side, it's going to be really huge of moving towards a more natural way of thinking about physical health. And then on the mental health side, unfortunately, it seemed like we had to get all the way to rock bottom before we started to think about mental health. And now mental health is an epidemic where suicides are at an all-time high, and people are just depressed and lonely and anxious. And I think that mushrooms can play a massive, massive role in changing that. A couple of different methods is one definitely for therapeutic use. I think psilocybin assisted therapy is going to be an absolute game changer when it comes to rewriting people's perceptions of themselves, rewriting their traumas, processing their traumas and nature. I also think just out here in California, I've seen actually mushroom being used recreationally quite often. And oftentimes people are replacing alcohol with mushrooms. So people are actually taking this to quote unquote party, but it's a very different kind of party. It's not like get wasted and break shit and crash your car type of party. It's like actually talk to people and remember your night and laugh and connect with people and have fun. And then you wake up the next day and you feel amazing and your life is just getting better. And you're actually, you know, healing, you're healing these things instead of running away from them. So I think like if just, if just it became legalized and people didn't even try to heal themselves, I think just by, by having fun with mushrooms, they would, end up healing themselves. So I feel like it's going to just be a radical change for the world once more people try this and it becomes legalized. I would agree. And it's funny that you mentioned that about drinking. Sean Ryan says that a ton. He said after his very first journey, he has not had a drop of alcohol since. He doesn't drink caffeine no more. He doesn't drink And it wasn't like he tried to stop. It just stopped. And that's pretty, you know, and that's just it. You know, you hear all these things that different people that don't know each other are saying. And it just kind of cosigns the reality of it. You know, I know now, you know, Sean Ryan just recently partnered with a company. But when he first started talking about this, he had no financial gain in mushrooms. He had nothing to do with it other than, Somebody recommended for him to get with a guy and do a journey. And it just did great things for him. And that's when later down the years down the road, he looked to join a business. So those are the type of people that I think, you know, they have no alternative motive at that time. And then you co-sign that with. multiple people saying the same thing. And you guys are saying the same thing that other guests I've had. So I know you're telling the truth. I know that, uh, people are seeing good and positive results from it. And I think that's amazing. I think, I think like you said, you know, there was just a really bad rap that's taken a long time to, to get past because that even affected the studies. You know, I have heard a lot of podcasts about, uh, There's now some theories about the ancient ruins and people back in those pre times that they think that they even may have had some psilocybin. And that's where some of their their stories and journeys and because there's a lot of religion that also comes from this as well. Yeah, definitely. Excuse me. Go ahead. No, I was just gonna say, there's even a theory that the human brain quadrupled in size during this very short amount of time, because humans are homeless aliens at the time were traveling these, these areas where psilocybin mushrooms would grow and they would eat them and it would, it expanded their brain. And it developed consciousness. Exactly. It developed consciousness during that time. So it's called, it's called the stoned ape theory. It's a really interesting theory and it goes, it's very similar to what you're saying. People don't know for sure, but it makes sense. It does. It, It absolutely makes sense. And there's probably a lot of people that want to argue it, but, uh, no, it does make sense. Some of our scientists need to take some psilocybin too, because they don't even talk to each other anymore. Yeah. That's another podcast. That's for sure. So at the end of the day, um, you said you've been in business now for three years, right? And, uh, We've gone, you've gone from closet mushrooms all the way to having a packer and, and researching. Cause I'm sure you're now finding even better ingredients from when you guys first, what kind of reviews are getting from, from your customers? The reviews have been awesome. It's so incredibly rewarding to look through the reviews and see people who we've never met writing how this has impacted their lives and their families and their children. And yeah, It makes us feel incredible. And also we put so much time and effort into sourcing these mushrooms and making sure that it's clean ingredients and healthy and free from all the junk you'll find in so many other gummies. And that takes time and it's expensive and it's a huge labor of love. So when that's appreciated, when the quality is appreciated, you're just like, oh, that's why we did it. It feels very rewarding. So that, yeah, that's been awesome. And yeah, as you said, we've been constantly iterating our product. So we have this mushroom extractor who has a patent pending on his extraction method. And he works very closely with the testing company and we're always iterating and improving. So that agrees. Yeah. You're good though. Okay. All right. Well, just maybe. Yeah. I don't know, Jake, if you want to go. Yeah. No, I mean, we we were we're pretty obsessive over the product and we we want it to be the best of the best. We want to let you know, it all goes back to our mission of having people trust us to deliver them the highest quality mushroom products and supplements. And yeah, the reviews, a couple a couple stand out for me when I think about it. The first would be somebody told me while we were sampling that they gave our linesman gummies to their their mom who has Alzheimer's. And within 30 minutes of taking them, he noticed a significant improvement in her memory and her like awareness. and so and they were like it felt like I got more time with her and it was that was super impactful and awesome to hear because um we have we have someone in our family who's going through that right now and it's just so challenging to witness and be there for um and for them to deal with so we really care about that and another another cause that's really close to my heart personally is one of our One of our customers was telling us about how she's giving our Lion's Mane product to her son, who is, I believe, seven years old, who has ADHD. I grew up with ADHD pretty severe. And I had really a struggle during school because it's just not made for people with ADHD. and you know I had teachers like asking me like what the hell's wrong with you like in front of the class and things like that because they didn't know and um I was prescribed adderall at 10 years old which is like giving a child basically speed and um so She gave her son, our linesman, and the teacher was so aware, noticed the change so noticeably that she actually asked the mom, where did you get this? I want to share this with other parents, which is so awesome that it changed this kids life who like me, you know, like instead of going on these harmful medications, he can now be on this natural delicious gummy, um, that helps in the same way. So that was a really excellent review that, you know, really was full, full circle for me. And that's amazing because I know, I know personally how hard it is to get people. It takes nothing to get negative reviews. I mean, people are going to heart beat. but trying to get somebody to, to leave your review and then it becoming positive reviews can be like pulling teeth, man. It is tough because people only want to talk about it when they're mad. Yeah. And that's when the review comes when they're happy. They don't even think about you no more. They're like, Hey, life's good. I enjoy the product. And they just move about their day. Yeah. That is awesome that you guys are seeing those kinds of results. Um, My hat's off to you, man. It's big stuff. Thank you so much. But so the last topic that I want to kind of dive into. Right. And I know you probably can't divulge, but if you can go into what is the extracting process when you say extraction? You know, I picture a guy with a syringe or something. You know, what is what is that method and what is it that they're actually extracting? Yes, for sure. I just, I'm sorry to interrupt. I'm still, for me, you guys are still frozen. Oh, you're frozen for me. Should I leave and come back or just keep going? What we'll do is we'll go and take a break. I'll pause it and you can go out and come back in and we'll try it again. Okay. I'm so sorry. And everybody is unfrozen and happy. Let's get into the extraction process. How, how does a company go about to do that? Yeah, so there are different extraction methods. You definitely want to make sure that your mushroom products are extracted because the bioavailable compounds of the mushrooms are locked within the cell walls. So if you were to just eat a reishi, for example, your body would have a really tough time digesting it and the benefits of it would not be absorbed by your body. So we do a triple extraction method, and that means that each mushroom is basically heated to an optimal temperature. Each mushroom has been studied to see which heat it should go up to. You don't want to heat it too much because then you're going to pretty much like burn it. Essentially, the compounds won't be available. So you're going to basically prep these mushrooms, heat it up, and then you're going to put it into these solvents, hot water and alcohol. And you're going to use an ultrasonic extraction method, which basically will create like rapid pressure changes in the liquid. And then after that liquid, you're going to take out the chunks of mushrooms. You're going to have this bioavailable liquid. And yeah, you're going to then process that liquid. And when the mixture settles, you're going to be left with these concentrated crystals, like these purified mineral salts, basically of, of just mushroom goodness. Okay. Yeah. So it's a, it's an interesting process. It's a little, it's different than what most people do. It's the, there's some stuff that our extractor won't even tell us what he does, but that's kind of the gist of it. Yep. Yeah, and yeah, I'm sure, you know, the secret sauce that they do, that doesn't want to get out, that's for sure. Oh, yeah, definitely. But again, it's interesting how, you know, it's all done and how somebody would even come about discovering, you know, the first person to discover extraction is better than just grabbing a hold of and taking a bite. You know, that's pretty cool. Totally. Yeah, I think it's important. that we got people out there that are driving through the forest and knocking it out and blazing paths for, for people, you know? So I think that that's really cool. Well, why don't we take a moment? I'm going to bring each of you guys forward and, and you guys can tell everybody a little bit about best place to follow you, your Tik TOK and, and all that good stuff. And we'll get everybody out there following you and becoming a part of your troop. Love that. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. So, um, as Stephanie said earlier, our website is the best place to start. It's try troop.com. T R Y T R O O P.com. Um, our Instagram is try troop T R Y T R O O P. Uh, you can learn more on our Instagram. Um, on our website, we also have a really comprehensive blog where we talk about a lot of interesting mushrooms. We talked about, talk about their functionality. We also talk about psychedelics. If you're interested in learning about that. um yeah and our instagram is really fun content our tick tocks also just like fun mushroom related content as well that's also at try troop t-r-y-t-r-o-o-p um and yeah if you're interested in mushrooms and you're interested in joining the troop like please reach out to us send us an email we love meeting with our customers we actually uh do like video calls with their customers just because we like to get to know the people who are taking our products and it's really cool it's been an amazing journey getting to know all these different people who really care about their health and care about you know their future wellness as well as their wellness right now and also pushing forward this mission of demystifying mushrooms and bringing mushrooms to the world that's you know our goal and we love people to help us on that journey absolutely you know I i was thinking so I write for a veteran magazine I think I think some of this this show right here would be a great article to to translate it and and put it into the the magazine too just to kind of help promote you guys and and say it so I i may even do a a small little article and send it to you and see what you think and we'll just add it to our magazine as well amazing thank you so much said anything that I'm behind I i have no issue with helping um you know this podcast and everything else and we can talk about it after the show but it all of this is part of a non-profit that that I'm building to for veterans and uh it's it's about helping people man it's became healing for me just to to go through this process so I appreciate and I i think it's big to make sure that we're out there helping the the not just the veterans I i discovered you know recently that know that other people besides veterans actually get ptsd I mean it seems crazy to think that way but I had a guest on my show um that was from the british military and we were doing a show discussing the differences between um the differences why did she go away I don't know what happened to the cameras Yes. But, uh, so he came on the show and the last thing he said, just kind of, it just kind of was like an aha moment for me. He said that, you know, I should come on to his podcast. He said, but he said, my show's just a mental health show. And I said, Oh, you, you've got a podcast on mental health. He said, well, yeah. He said, we just got too many soldiers killing themselves. And it just hit me like, Oh, that's not an American thing. I thought that was us. Yeah. And then it made me kind of go a little philosophical. And I started thinking about, well, what about the enemies that we were shooting at? Do they have the same things? And it took that moment for me to wake up and say, well, we're just all human and trauma is trauma is trauma. So it doesn't matter what side of the lines you were on. Trauma is trauma. And so I think it's awesome when, when you get in that path and you start helping, I can talk about nonprofit for hours. So. But I appreciate you coming on. We'll go ahead and throw the exit video and everything. If you don't mind holding fast, we'll just talk a few minutes. And man, I'm super impressed, man. My hat's off to you guys. Great job. Great job. Thank you so much, Donald. Thank you for having us. Yeah, very special. Absolutely. All right. I'll be right with y'all. All right. So let's talk a little bit about this episode. This episode, man, I really enjoy it, man, because when you hear some of the same stuff, and like I said, I talk a lot about the Sean Ryan Show and a few of the others because I got a lot of respect for those guys. They did some amazing things in their careers, and so my hat's off to them. But when you hear veterans that are taking it and saying the same thing that businesses are saying, it gives you that trust of how impactful something can be. And again, I think it's great that we're going to look at trying to open people's minds and get people thinking and thinking not just physical health, but mental health as well. You know, there's a lot of good stuff out there as we just discovered. So I hope y'all take this. Also, they mentioned a 20% off discount. I'll make sure that that is in the description as well. So you guys can find it. I want you all to take part. Go check out their content. Learn a little bit like we did today. I appreciate all of you all for listening. And remember, don't let the day kick your ass. Kick the day's ass.
