Shared Histories
Cultural and historical accounts told by senior adults whose ages span 70 yrs to 99 yrs. Topics cover the Workhouse, The Titanic, King Jerry king of the MODs and Motown DJ, 1966 World cup journalism, Dresden survival and pre GDPR society where one child, now 90, received the wrong age and surname from his orphanage and ended joining the forces at 15. Shared Histories aims to address stereotypical ideas that can be held about older people. When thinking of a senior care home or passing a senior after listening to this podcast, we hope that instead of asking google - you will speak to someone who was actually there.
