Dang it, you caught me with my pants down.  Ummm.  Oh shoot man.  2 hour seminar.  Uhhh I don’t know.  I’m drawing a blank.  It’s too early for me to think about that.  I’m going to call back later, I’m going to think about that.  Yeah.  I’ll right.  But I didn’t want to just hang up because you told me I couldn’t hang up.  Umm.  Give me a second, let me think about this.  This is a good challenge.  It helps me think about what I care about… so ummm.  No…. Forget it… here we go!….

Thank you for calling GIH where we instigate growth one call at a time where we utilize antiquated technology to deliver 3-minute leadership lessons every day of the week!  This is message #84 and I am Aaron Havens.

Yesterday's Growth Instigators Hotline was a really fun one for me to listen to. Well, not the Hotline itself with the messages that were left. I was very, very impressed with the messages left. In fact, nearly all of you left a message. My favorite start was the individual that I opened this call with. He wanted to hang up bad, but it ended up processing out loud as we just heard me repeat, and then he left me a two minute message, telling me what his two hour seminar would be on.

So if you didn't get a chance to listen to yesterday's Growth Instigators Hotline I asked everyone to leave me a message and I asked this question…

If you had 2 days to come up with materials for a seminar, what would it be on.

What are you educated in?  What experience do you have?  What ideas or stories can you tell.  For real… if you had to give a 2 hour seminary on a topic in two days what would it be?

Today we're gonna do a continuation of sorts.

“This is a good challenge.  It helps me think about what I care about”

If I rephrased the question in a little more morbid way, if today was your last day upright on planet Earth, and the entire world would stop for two hours to hear what you had to say… what would you say? That is your seminar!  That is where the rubber meets the road. That would be the culmination of all your experiences all your education, all of your victories, all of your trials all of what you've learned and all of what you care about.

So, I’m NOT gonna ask you to leave a message deciphering and filtering through what your seminar would be today. No, I am though going to instigate growth in you to truly put "some wheels on this.” (As my friend often says).  Every single one of us listening could put on a two hour seminar. What would you say if today was your last day, and you had two hours to teach us, to address us, to compel us, to challenge us, to leave us with your final words.

Thanks for calling in today.  Tune in tomorrow for a fresh new topic.  At the sound of the beep:  I don’t actually want you to leave a message today.  I am though, leaving you with a challenge…

Open up your computer today at some point and literally start typing out word for word if you would what your seminar would be. And maybe some of you can actually record it solidify it. Leave a trail for those coming behind you to follow.
