Keir Starmer's First Six Steps for Change: LIVE launch with Keir Starmer et al 🌹 l Ep. #012
I was very lucky to be invited to attend the Labour Party launch of the Keir Starmer’s First Six Steps for Change.
In this show I highlight some of the speeches given by many of the Labour front bench as well as some comments by some good friends of the show.
I also share why every Labour member needs to get familiar with these as we will need this on the doorstep. It’s our tast to take the message you hear here and to take that to doorsteps in our communities.
What are Starmers 6 pledges?
The Six Steps are...
- Sticking to tough spending rules to deliver economic stability
- Setting up Great British Energy, a publicly owned clean power energy company saving us all money and providing energy security
- Cut NHS waiting lists by providing 40,000 more appointments every week - funded by ending tax avoidance and non-dom loopholes.
- Launching the new border security command- stopping gangs' small boat crossings
- More police officers to fight antisocial behaviour plus new penalties for offenders
- 6,500 more teachers, paid for by ending tax breaks for private schools.
At the end of this podcast I ponder the question - Is this the start of Starmerism
