Seek out people who can provide encouragement during difficult times and those who can offer honest feedback and guidance when necessary. [00:00:00] So now this is a mystery segment of our [00:00:03] episode, and Kim, I just want to ask you, what is one [00:00:06] go to practice or ritual that you use to [00:00:09] slow down, to center, and [00:00:12] connect with yourself? [00:00:15] Yes, so [00:00:18] for me, I I find [00:00:21] nature to be very restorative [00:00:24] and helps me to find my center, [00:00:27] specifically getting out away from [00:00:30] distractions, putting my phone on do not disturb or leaving it [00:00:33] if I feel comfortable doing that, leaving it somewhere [00:00:36] and really just being present to [00:00:39] what's around me and what I'm [00:00:42] hearing show up, what spirit is [00:00:45] sharing with me in those moments.
And [00:00:48] it even leads to just. Honestly, [00:00:51] noticing flowers bloom or nest [00:00:54] or the sounds that are around me. [00:00:57] So I find [00:01:00] that to be so grounding [00:01:03] and a way that I [00:01:06] just quiet all the noise. quiet all the noise [00:01:09] that's going on specifically in my own [00:01:12] head. [00:01:15] And it's something simple that I can do [00:01:18] regularly, even during the work day, just [00:01:21] taking five minutes, five, 10 minutes to walk [00:01:24] outside.
So that is definitely one of my [00:01:27] consistent, consistent go to practices. [00:01:30] What about you? I [00:01:33] typically do a mindful walk. [00:01:36] Pause every morning [00:01:39] and it really just an opportunity to, [00:01:42] to pause, to [00:01:45] express gratitude for the [00:01:48] days to come. And then to just, [00:01:51] uh, to take a moment, a long gated [00:01:54] moment, maybe 10, 15 minutes [00:01:57] to, to listen to myself into [00:02:00] deeper expression, um, for all that has [00:02:03] come, all that I'm able to accomplish in the, how I want to [00:02:06] show up in this space.
Um, my [00:02:09] work life. Um, personal life. [00:02:12] in that kind of way in which I kind of [00:02:15] harmonize myself with what the day will bring. [00:02:18] So I do that and you know, there [00:02:21] are other things that I do, but that's one of the most important ones that I go [00:02:24] to every day. That's good. That's good. [00:02:27] Mindful, mindful pause. For those [00:02:30] of you who are listening, I invite you to think [00:02:33] about what are your go to practices or [00:02:36] rituals to slow down, to center, to connect with [00:02:39] yourself.
As entrepreneurs, it can be, [00:02:42] uh, A practice of being on the [00:02:45] ground, but I want to invite you to [00:02:48] have a practice of slowing down so that you can move [00:02:51] forward, uh, more intentionally, uh, [00:02:54] and mindfully. So you found [00:02:57] this segment because you stuck around just a [00:03:00] few seconds. Past the [00:03:03] main episode, continue to do [00:03:06] that and you'll hear from us a little [00:03:09] bit more after, after our [00:03:12] longer, our longer segments, our [00:03:15] longer episodes.
We look forward to [00:03:18] journeying with you and we hope you join us next [00:03:21] time.
