Hello everyone and welcome to my credit sucks podcast. I am excited and blessed to be your host for those of you that don't know me yet. My name is Rolando Castro. I've been in the credit repair space. For going on 15 years and I've owned two separate credit repair agencies And I am currently the owner of elite credit group a credit repair agency based out of Anaheim hills, California And releasing this podcast has been a dream of mine.
So you guys are seeing a dream in the making I've been wanting to release it for the past Maybe six to eight months. And in the midst of being a father, being a husband, running a business, I just found myself that I really couldn't find the time, but I realized that that was just an excuse. I kind of became the master of procrastination and I knew that I just needed to pull the trigger.
You know, it's not going to be perfect. It's the first few episodes. I'm nervous. And I know it's not, it's not going to come out the way I wanted to, but you know what, I'll get better as time goes by. And I'm okay with that. This is episode one. And this episode is for you to get to know me, who your credit coach is, because it's going to be an amazing journey for all of us, because my goal with this podcast is to provide you with easy to follow tips, tricks, how to behind the scenes do's and don'ts that a lot of my current.
And past clients have done to screw up their credit and improve it as well. And I know that there's tons of videos online that you can watch thousands of hours of YouTube videos that teach you how to repair your credit and hate to break it to you, but I can assure you that now over 95 percent of that is a bunch of BS.
And I mean, the reason why I say that is because I watched them all. And that is the reason why I decided to release this podcast because I feel that there was a lot of information out there just used for clickbait. They want you to just watch the video for views They want you to click here. They want you to click there and they're not really giving you real raw information on How you can truly repair your credit because to repair your credit It's not, it's not easy.
It's simple, but it's not easy. And it requires a lot of time. You need to understand the credit repair laws, the credit laws, and whatnot. All that has to come into play in order for you to be able to improve your credit. And, uh, That's what this podcast is about. I'm going to debunk a lot of these sold caught tips.
You see here online You know, are they true? Oh, let's put them to the test there's you and I put all these actions to the test and see if they're true and The best part about this journey between you and I is that I actually own a credit repair agency So I'm gonna put you On the driver's seat. And I'm going to show you real action strategies that we're putting in place for our active clients that are getting us real results.
We will also discuss and take a look at some of the biggest mistakes. My current customers are still making. Yes. What I mean by that is that a customer hires us and they still make a lot of the mistakes. That are keeping them from having a great FICO score. So we'll discuss those as well. And as well as what got them in that particular, you know, there's a lot of things that happened that cost them to have bad credit, because one of the biggest reasons why I feel a lot of consumers have bad credit and in my 15 years, I feel that this is the number one reason is it's lack of education.
And what I mean by that is that if a consumer, the majority of consumers knew that missing a single payment would drop their score more than 100 points, I guarantee you they would do whatever it takes to send even as much as a minimum payment. But when I look at credit reports, there's so many late payments.
And when I tell them, do you know the severity of these late payments? And they don't know. And they're like, gee, golly, only if I knew that sending my payment late, even if it's one day late, if it's past us, if it's on 31 days late, it's going to adversely affect the credit score. And I guarantee you, if people knew that paying that bill, even if it's for 80 and I see this a lot as internet bills, you maybe canceled your service and you have a bill left and you wish.
feel that you shouldn't owe it. Then they just disregarded and they don't know that that 80 bill is going to go to collections and it will drop your credit score. And because of that single collection, if you have available credit on some of the credit cards, they can and will reduce your credit limits because your score dropped.
So truly I'm here to educate you on how to not only improve your credit score, but help you maintain it. As well because I have a scene here in the in in in the in the company that we can help anyone Almost anyone improve their credit score, but if we don't give them the tools on how to make better credit decisions.
What's the point? I don't want your repeat business. I want your referrals, but I don't want to keep helping you over and over again because then I'm not doing my job right. No one in my team is doing the job right. If we can't give you the tools and education. So that's the reason why this podcast is out.
So I am excited to embark on this journey with you and so much for your attention. It means the world to me. My goal is to release one to two episodes per week.
