You've been asking for it and we're delivering - an intro into COMMUNICATION.

Communication is everything. It can and will make or break a relationship.

Typically speaking, issues at home, in the workplace, or with relationships in general, all lead back to one thing: the inability to communicate effectively.

Communication consists of talking and listening.

Talking requires words and words are complicated. Depending on your natural personality, your experiences, your culture, etc., words mean different things to different people.

To make things even more complicated, listening should be done with a goal to understand the other person.

Things go awry and arguments break out when we don't have a mutual understanding about what one another means, and when we listen to defend/respond. This is usually how it's done and it's a recipe for disaster.

Episode 11 is the first of many on the topic of communication. Come along with us as we start navigating communication and how when done correctly, it can make life much easier with your partner - even if you're complete opposites.

Book referenced: "Nonviolent Communication" by Marshall Rosenberg
