Ep.12 - "No Really. It's Not You. It's Me."
May 18, 2024 Episode 12
Lee and Carrie

Episode 12 is the second of several episodes where we talk about healthy communication and why it's important in your relationships. Struggles in communication are what we hear about ALL the time, and is the area in which we struggle the most in our own marriage. If you can't communicate, you can't do much else...

Over the years, we've poured tons of time into learning different communication techniques and strategies. One that we've found the most helpful is called "nonviolent communication".

Nonviolent communication follows a series of steps: make an observation, identify the feeling within, identify what you NEED, and then make a request. Ultimately, you seek within as opposed to pointing the finger at your partner. When done well, nonviolent communication WORKS. That's not to say it's easy. It isn't. But it's better than the alternative.

Check out this episode to learn more about how to effectively communicate and to laugh along with us as we share some of our personal stories. ♥️

Book reference: "Nonviolent Communication" by Marshall Rosenberg
