 Hey guys, it's Odelia here, and welcome back to the Heal Your Life Podcast. Today we're going to be talking about some important astrology that's going on at the moment, which we can use to support us on our healing journey. We're going to be talking about Venus, which has just gone retrograde in the sign of Aries.

This started on the 1st of March 2025, and it's going to last until she goes direct again on April the 12th. Venus only goes retrograde once every 18 months, and when it does, it is a great time to go inward and do the inner work that is necessary. So, on with the show!

So, as I mentioned in my initial show, I'm actually an astrologer, and I like to use astrology as a tool to help me on my healing journey. I know that,  know that astrology is not for everyone, and there are a lot of misconceptions out there about astrology. Like, for example, because of a historical belief that it is predictive, there is an association of fortune telling and black magic, or that it's a load of nonsense because when you read your star sign, it doesn't resonate, so therefore it must not be accurate and it must not be true.

But the real truth is that there is so much more to your astrology than just your star sign. What we refer to in the astrological world as your Saturn sign. I'll do another show in the future where I'll talk about astrology, how I got into it, and how it's changed my life personally. For me personally, I see it as a self development tool that has not only helped me to better understand myself, but it has also helped me to understand my core wounds, um, who I can be at my highest potential, but also giving myself grace on the areas where I'm operating from a low potential.

So it really does help you to learn to love yourself more. And to really understand why you are the way that you are now. There's a lot of astrology happening this year and in particular, we are going to be seeing a lot of it now in the month of March. So we have Neptune that is changing science from Pisces, where it's been for the last 15 years, and it's going to be moving into Aries.

We also have satin moving out of Pisces into Aries. So that's a lot of pi seas, um, energy happening. We also have the eclipses starting in March. In between Pisces and Virgo, uh, the Pisces Virgo axis. And later on in the year, I think it's around July, we have Uranus that's moving up towards and into Gemini.

So, we've got all these outer planets that are doing these major shifts, and we're going to start seeing some major changes. Now, to truly understand how this is going to impact you personally, it is a good idea to look at your chart and see which house or zone signs walk. And this will then be an indication as to which area of your life it's going to affect.

The best way to, for you to be able to get a chart is to head over to astro. com, it's a website, and you can create a chart for free. All you need is your date, time, and place of birth so that you can cast your chart. Now, if you don't have your time of birth, because a lot of people actually don't have this, it's fine.

There is an option to select unknown. It's not going to be as accurate, but you can still get a lot of information about your chart, even if you don't have the time of birth. Now, going back to the Venus retrograde, so why is this so important? Well, for one, this is nothing like a Mercury retrograde, because they rule two very different areas of life, and they rule two very different things.

Venus also only goes into retrograde once every 18 months, so it's not as common as a Mercury retrograde would be. If we break this down, we know that Venus is the sign that rules love, relationships, and beauty. It also rules the area of our chart that signifies our material possessions and our values.

So this would be, how do you acquire your possessions? How do you value your possessions? And how do you manage your resources? How do you earn a living? How do you invest and deal with your debt? Your relationship to money. Your sense of security, like physical security and your stability. What you own, what you want to own, both literally and figuratively, your boundaries, and what you enjoy and want more out of your life.

So when Venus goes retrograde, it's a time for us to go inwards and to do the necessary work on ourselves around these things. So for instance, this would be a great time to really define what our values are. So, what is it that you truly value and want more of in your life? It's also, um, it would also be a great time to work on any cord, any cords that you need to cut that may have, that you may have around any toxic relationships.

During a venous retrograde, what can tend to happen is that if you have ended a relationship, this is when it can become very clear that it's over or if it was toxic. It's a great time to cut that cord. It can also sometimes see your exes coming back into the picture because Venus is moving backwards.

So we're going back into the past. Okay. Now, if that relationship was a toxic relationship, you want to cut that cord. Okay. If they come back into the picture and you want to be, you find you do want to be with them. What's important here is to understand if they've grown, have you grown from, from where you were previously with this person or all the same.

Issues and problems still there. And you know, it's very easy with Venus to get caught up in the moments of love and being in love and being in relationships. You really need to be careful of that and to assess, is this really what I want? Have they really changed? Have I really changed? Okay, so just bear that in mind with this, with this transit, because this is when Venus is showing you for one final tongue whether or not you wanna be with this person or whether to finally move on.

Um, if there's any past relationships that you need to either give forgiveness for, uh, for your own peace, or if you're the one that needs to be forgiven, then maybe you could try doing a ho ho ho pono pono prayer every day during this trance. The trance is going to last 40 days, so you can do a lot of work during that time.

So you can either do a, um, a daily meditation, or you can play it overnight while you sleep so that it can reach, really reach your subconscious mind easier. There are various options, um, available on YouTube. So find the one that works for you and find the one that you feel will really help you heal these wounds.

Now in terms of our healing journey, this is a great time to work on our self worth. From a spiritual standpoint Venus can be considered as being connected to our heart chakra. A good idea could be to do some work on the heart chakra over the next 40 days, or you could do some chanting of self love mantras.

If you've been really struggling with your self love, this is the time to work on cultivating that relationship with yourself, for yourself. The support of energy is there for you and I find that things just find their way to you. So perhaps this podcast is shared with you and it was just what you needed to hear at this point in time that validates something that you have already been feeling.

This energy is manifesting um As an acceptance of who I am and where I am I was just having a conversation with my sister the other day and I was telling her how over this period i'm going to be More focused on loving me where I am at in terms of my body image my entire life I've been on the trans side Until having my second child.

After I had him, I'm really moving to my heaviest weight ever. I've struggled to recover my body since having him. There's a combination of having a c section, plus terrible core to begin with, and ab separation as a result of my pregnancy. My tummy is quite big, to the point that a few people have mistaken me for being pregnant.

Now, normally I'd be offended, but when you're on the underground, you know, going to work, hey, I'll take that seat. Um, so my stomach is quite big and, um, I do feel quite subconscious about it, but like most people, you know, I have a wardrobe full of clothes that I will get back into one day. But the truth is that, that day's never going to come.

Those clothes have been in there for years and the day has still not come. Um, I actually have a very good sense of style, but you would never know that because I only ever wear black and my clothes are limited because I don't want to invest in a new wardrobe because I have all these clothes that I will fit into one day.

Who's been there? Who's, who's done that? Like, we've got all these codes that you're going to fit into one day. So in the meetup to the retrograde, I decided to get rid of a lot of the codes. I donated them because they were just sitting in my wardrobe, um, not being used and sitting there for so long, when there could potentially be someone out there that could actually use it and could really, really need it.

So, since the retrograde, I've been feeling a new acceptance towards my, my, um, my body. Um, exactly as it is right now, in this moment. A new appreciation of this miraculous body that only grew, that not only grew, but birthed my two beautiful babies. How can I not love this body? It's been with me throughout my life, the good and the bad.

I have no desire to be obese or to be stick thin. Instead, my focus now is being healthy and strong, to feel comfortable with my body, however it looks. I've bought myself a few new outfits that are not black, and that actually flat, look flattering on my body, as opposed to hiding it. And I can tell you that I feel amazing, I can feel my self concept, my self confidence has improved and grown as a result of this.

Um, I feel good about how I look, even though I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea. I am my cup of tea, and I'm going to own it. So this is how the energy is manifesting for me, and I plan on continuing to focus on making myself feel good, accepting myself, and also putting in new habits in my daily routine to take care of this amazing body that I'm trying, that I'm learning to love.

Now Venus also rules the appreciation of beauty and fashion, so this makes sense to me that I've been feeling this way. I will also be working on finding closure on some relationships in my life that have not been in the best of places. I'll be doing some work on my abundance mindset because if you have any bad money habits, now is the time to work on them.

Do the inner work and there will be rewards for you at the end of the retrograde. So one book that I've decided to, to work on in particular is a book called Get Rich, Lucky Bitch, which is supposed to be a great book to help you clear any money blocks that you may have. And who couldn't do with more money?

I mean, really, especially in today's day and age. So if you'd like to know where this retrograde will be affecting you, you need to look at your rising sign, as this is where your charts start. Your rising sign is not necessarily the same as your sun sign or your star sign. Some people have the same, like me, but not everyone.

Your rising sign is whatever constellation was on the eastern horizon on the day and at that time and place when you were born. This is why you need to put in your time of birth. It will then divide up your chart into 12 zones or areas of life, and each of these will be ruled by a zodiac sign. So essentially, we all have all the signs in our chart, ruling some part of our life.

Now, if you know your rising sign, this is where the venus retrograde is going to be affecting you. So if you're in Aries rising, this is going to be happening in your first house. And this is the house of your physical appearance, your self confidence, um, your self love. Okay, um, that's where that's going to be happening.

If you're Taurus rising, this is going to be happening in your 12th house. And this is the house of creativity, spirituality, dreams, the subconscious. So a great time to work on any of those things. If you're a Gemini rising, it's 11th house. And this is your house or zone of friends. groups, communities, your wider community.

Um, so that's a great, you know, that's where the theme is going to come up for you. If you're a cancer rising, this is going to be in your house of career and recognition. So how are you recognized in the world for what you do? Um, it is a lot of times linked to your career. So what is it that you do in the world?

If you're Neo Rising, this is going to be in your 9th house, and this is the house around travel, philosophy, religion, can also be spirituality, um, freedom, so those kinds of things. Virgo, this is going to be in your 8th house, um, so 8th house is your house of shared resources. It's the house of sex and money.

It's the house of, um, going deep, research, um, what else? Yeah, um, you know, the occult, the mystical. Uh, liberalizing, this is happening in your seventh house. Seven house is the house of relationships, actually Venus rules this house, so you might feel it even more powerfully. So it's going to be in your house of relationships, this is any relationship that you have, one to one relationship if you're a coach in a, a client relationship, best friends relationships, partner relationships, any kind of relationship that you have, that's where you're going to feel this.

So it could be that a friend comes back, or you lose a friend. Scorpio, this is going to be in your sixth house. So this is your house of your daily routines, your work, your health. So maybe you're going to, you know, you're going to develop a new routine that you're going to love. Yeah, that's going to be focused on who you are and who you want to be.

What do you value? Do you value health? Do you value, are you happy with your job? You know, your day to day work, are you happy with that? Do you value what you do? Sagittarius, this is happening in your fifth house. So this is the house of creativity, children, um, this is the fun house. This is where we have fun, how we, how we have fun.

So, I mean, this is a really great one for Sagittarius. Capricorn, this is happening in your fourth house. So this is your house of your home, roots, your emotional self, um, yeah, family. You know, maybe getting that balance between work and family because Capricorn, you can tend to be, Capricorns can tend to be quite overachievers.

Um, Aquarius, this is happening in your third house, so this is the house of communication, sharing information, knowledge, learning. Um, and it's also around like your neighborhood, your most, your more immediate, um, environment to siblings, cousins. Those kinds of things. And then Pisces, this is happening in your second house.

So a really great time to work on any areas around abundance, your material possessions, your self worth, your self values, what you value, those are the kinds of things, your physical security, those are the kinds of things that you're going to look at for this, for this time. Okay, so when I was thinking about doing this topic today, I received a message on an astrology book.

Um, I received a message on Facebook from an astrology book club group that I followed and the book was called Venus Rising Star, which by the description sounds like a great book on using your Venus placement in your birth chart to help you on your healing journey. So I took that as a confirmation from the universe that I should do this, should do this topic and that I need to read that book.

The book for the Book of the Month for March is going to be Fast Like a Girl by Dr. Mindy Peltz. So I've decided on this book because I heard an interview of Dr. Mindy's, uh, Dr. Mindy Peltz on another podcast and I was so intrigued that I thought I need to do this book this month. Um, I'm fascinated right now with cyclical living.

And this fits right in with that. So if you don't know what I'm talking about, Cycle for Living is where you live in alignment with your monthly cycle. So there's certain times of your month, of the month, which are great for you to be taking action and pushing. And there are other times of the month when you need to take it easy, slow down, really take care of yourself.

And this book also speaks to, this book speaks to that, and it also covers where in your cycle is most beneficial for you to be fasting and when not. Now, I'm not looking at fasting as an option to lose weight and be skinny, as I mentioned previously. This more for me is health, from a health perspective.

I'm going to be 42 on Sunday, and I'm really starting to feel You know, my age, uh, without giving too much away, what a woman I'm 42 goes through, um, and so, you know, a lot of symptoms coming through, and I really just want to be healthy. I want to be healthy for my boys, I want to be healthy for myself, and I want to, you know, have longevity of life if I can, and one thing I've learned from the Atomic Habits book is that the 1% That we apply now is going to benefit you then, but I'll be doing a review on that book for next week's show So back to the book.

So, um, so this book speaks about when your cycle is most beneficial to be fasting and when not So I'm really looking forward to doing this book this month and implementing this into my own cycle I hope you'll join me on this journey We start with, well I already, well, we're gonna start reading it this week.
