Growing up in Eastern Europe after the fall of Communism is a huge part of Katya Veleva's (they/them) story and they share how this wasn't easy - yet it's definitely not something that has defined them. In contrast to the black & white photos in their memory that capture this period in time, Katya is a burst of colour & energy.

Katya is a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Consultant with a solid background in architecture, construction and digital health programmes - and I loved hearing about their transition between careers to what they're doing so brilliantly now!

A deep understanding and knowledge with creativity and communication skills in abundance shine through, both in Katya's professional role and the way they express themself, through their love of art and creating.
