Speaker 1:

Welcome back to Practical Manifesting for Busy Women. This is a podcast designed for women who have a lot going on, but they still want to remain conscious creators rather than reactors to all of the dramas that life brings. So we missed last week because it was Memorial Day. So I hope you had a wonderful holiday and now we're back.

Speaker 1:

So over the holiday I went to the golf driving range with my boyfriend and I used to play golf driving range with my boyfriend and I used to play golf a lot when I was young. I haven't played it in a while With my 30-year-old clubs. I went to the driving range and I broke out my sand wedge and I couldn't hit a shot to save my life. So if you don't play golf, it's kind of a frustrating sport because it's something that you need to practice. And you might be thinking why on God's green earth is this woman talking about golfing when I'm trying to listen to a manifesting podcast? And I promise you don't have to play golf to understand what I'm going to talk about. Golf is a frustrating sport and it is something that you have to practice. So when I started with my sand wedge, I couldn't hit the ball more than three feet in front of me and the harder I try, the more it just kept dribbling and I kept missing shots and it was frustrating. And, believe me, I've never been, even when I played a lot, I've never been a pro golfer. In fact, once I got a hole in one and when I handed in my scorecard because that's what you do when you get a hole in one to get recognized for it the score on the scorecard was 150. And if you don't play golf, the best way to kind of explain what that might be like is if you took a really kind of a hard class like calculus. You were taking a test in calculus and you got every single answer on the calculus test wrong. But there was an extra credit assignment available and it was a really hard extra credit, something that most people wouldn't get, and you did that perfectly. So you got a zero on the test, but you got the extra credit right.

Speaker 1:

So after being frustrated for a while, I said to myself oh, I got to take a step back and think about the basics. For me it's grip, stance, posture. If you don't play golf, none of this really matters, but it's just the basics. So I really thought about oh, what's my grip, what should my grip be like, what's my stance like, what's my posture? And once I had those things, then I thought where do I want the ball to go, where do I want to aim? And I looked out across the driving range and I'd made a decision about where I wanted the ball to go. And then I started hitting again and I got a little bit better, but I would not tell you that I was hitting the ball well.

Speaker 1:

And then finally I thought, oh, what do I like about golf? What do I enjoy when I play golf? And I started thinking about how nice it was. It was a nice night. It's the beginning of summer and it's not buggy out yet. It was almost eight o'clock and it's that time of the year where it was still daylight at almost eight o'clock.

Speaker 1:

And I started to get into appreciation about the fact that, even though my golf clubs are 30 years old, they still work. And nobody laughed at me when I walked in. Everyone's there to support me and we were all supporting each other and I was with people I really liked. There was so much I liked about golf and I was with people I really liked. There was so much I liked about golf and I said to myself, after having practiced, I was just going to focus on the things I appreciate and just think about where I wanted the ball to go. So I looked out at where I wanted the ball to go. I already had practiced my grip, stance and posture. I didn't think about that when I went to hit and I just thought I love this and then I hit the ball.

Speaker 1:

Well, it is exactly the way manifesting is. So let me explain. The rules of physics don't change, no matter how much you want them to. No matter how much you want them to, if you're not aligned with hitting the ball correctly, it is going to dribble in front of you, or you're gonna duff it, or it's gonna play out to the right or to the left. The rules of golf don't change. It is how I approach the rules. The rule of swinging the golf club does not change. The rule of physics always remains the same. I can't change them, no matter how much I want to. The rules are the rules.

Speaker 1:

When you are in alignment with hitting the ball, the ball will go, and when you're not in alignment with hitting the ball, it's not going to go, no matter how much effort you put in, no matter how much you care, no matter how much you want it to go out there and get near the target that you're aiming for, if you're not aligned with hitting a great golf ball, you're not going to hit one, no matter how much effort you put in. And if you are trying to manifest something, if you're trying to make something happen and you're putting in all this effort and you're trying so hard and you're not aligned with the laws of manifesting, it really doesn't matter how much effort you put in. And this is why we get in alignment with what we want before we manifest it. Here's the other thing I want to mention. It's not like I didn't put in effort when I started to hit the ball. Well, I was putting in a lot of effort, but it was aligned effort and that aligned effort was so much more fun and satisfying than the non-aligned effort. It wasn't like it was easy all of the sudden, but it was fun. It became fun when I got the basics down and I did my basic practice and then I focused on the fun of it and let go of the outcome of it and just decided it was going to be fun and let the universe. Take the ball where it needed to go. I was able to get it there. So it doesn't mean that if you want to make something happen, you're not going to have to put in effort. You are. But do you want it to be inspired, aligned effort, where the ball's going to sail out where you want it to go? Or are you going to put in a ton of effort and a ton of effort and get five feet each shot? And that's the question. You want aligned effort.

Speaker 1:

So I study and I teach A Course in Miracles. When I first started reading that book it did not speak to me. It had a lot of religious words in it and those religious words I still had a lot of judgment about. And then I had a teacher who told me do me a favor, when you're reading this book, take the word God and make it love. Take the word ego, because that's in there a lot, and make that word fear. And take the word word son, because they talk about the son of God all the time, and make that you and everybody you know. All of a sudden, when I made these changes in the book, the book spoke to me. She also told me take this book extremely personally, like it was written for you, to you, a set of instructions to you. Once I had those changes, it was like a Rosetta Stone. All of a sudden, the book spoke to me. I understood the wisdom of the book so much more than I did before. Now I've been reading this book for a long time and I've read it a total of five times, and the reason why it's taken me so long is it's chock full of a tremendous amount of information. That's very helpful, but you have to kind of think about it.

Speaker 1:

One of the things the Course in Miracles says it talks about manifesting and it says you're a co-creator, you're co-creating with the force that is love. When you are in alignment with love, everything that you create looks like love. When you are out of alignment with love, everything that you create looks like a lot of hard work and not quite what you want. The thing is, in order to manifest what you want, you kind of have to get in alignment with the manifesting rules. That means you can't just think, hey, I want this thing and get it, because you you haven't followed the rules. And the rules are simple. We've known these rules for a long time. Buddhism calls it non-attachment. The rule is you want something but you don't get attached to the outcome. Right, you want something but you stay in appreciation. And those rules are hard to follow because once you want something, it's hard not to yearn for it, but the yearning for it actually takes you out of alignment with it. So if you want something, your job is to enjoy the journey.

Speaker 1:

What I did was I got an appreciation of my ability to swing a golf club. I got an appreciation of the fact that a golf range exists. And the other thing is I had to practice. If you want to manifest something very specific, you've kind of got. You've got to practice the rules. You've got to practice the tools that put the rules into place. You've got to figure out what those rules are and get in alignment with them. And then, once you have those tools and rules in place, what you come come so much more fun. Because when I was hitting the ball well, it was fun, it was fun. How do we attract what we want when we want it so much more fun? Because when I was hitting the ball well, it was fun, it was fun. How do we attract what we want when we want it so much we chill out and we get into appreciation.

Speaker 1:

It's that simple and that hard, and so we have to find a way to enjoy the journey. If we don't enjoy the journey, we're not going to get there. We're not going to have practiced how to get there. But the truth is there are certain things that you have to do if you want to manifest something. Just like you could go to the driving range and maybe hit some great shots, but if you haven't practiced aiming, when you get on the golf course you're going to suck at getting the ball to where you want it to go, because it might go a distance, but it's not going to go a distance in the direction of where you want the ball to be. You've got to practice. You've got to practice. And so what do you practice? You practice the steps towards manifesting, and they're really simple steps. You've got to aim, you've got to know what you're aiming at, expect what you're getting and have a process of getting there. And if you need that process, I do have it. It's called the Four Steps to Miraculous Manifesting. It's a course I have right now. The link to the course is on my website, which is kimvazellacom. I'll have it in the description on my YouTube page.

Speaker 1:

If you don't have the $47 for that course, think about what you want, expect what you want and get excited about it and focus only on that. And if you could do that, that's kind of getting in alignment and letting go of the outcome. Don't yearn for it, just know it's coming. That's the basics of manifesting. The basic of manifesting is getting to joy right now, and joy has to follow. Joy must come.

Speaker 1:

And I just want to mention one more thing. Before you actually play golf, you go to the driving range. Now you could go right out onto a golf course and play golf and they'd let you on. If you pay your money, you could go out there never having swung a club. But I'll promise you a couple things. If you do that Unless you are spectacularly athletic and just understand physics and can apply them to your body immediately, you're going to have a miserable time, you're going to not play well and you're going to piss off all the other people on the golf course because you won't know the rules, you won't be a ready golfer, you won't hold up the golf course.

Speaker 1:

There's a lot of things. If you're going to manifest something, if you want to be a co-creator and a conscious creator of your experience. You just got to kind of know the steps, and the best thing that you could do is practice, practice, practice right and that is really the key in manifesting a life that you love is practice appreciation, practice joy. I have so many tools in all of my courses that you can use to practice getting into joy when you're not feeling very joyful, but regardless, the easiest thing is just get into appreciation and get present right now. So if you'd like help, I can help you in many different ways. I have many courses. So if you'd like help, I can help you in many different ways. I have many courses. But you could also just go outside, go for a walk, look around nature and thank nature for all that it gives you.

Speaker 1:

The best tool that you have in your toolbox for manifesting is finding a way right now to focus on something that you like and focus on the joy of that, and then find something else that you like and focus on the joy of that. And find something else that you like and focus on the joy of that. And then find something else that you like and focus on the joy of that and find something else that you like and focus on the joy of that. And think about the people in your life that you like and focus on all their good and amazing traits. And think about yourself and think about all the things you like about yourself. And just start thinking those thoughts and you'll be well on your way to creating an energy field that attracts what you want. But remember you could always reach out to me to help. I have so many courses and my website's now up KimMazellacom. You could always reach out to me, kim, at KimMazellacom, but remember life is super short, so please be kind, have fun and love everything. Thank you so much for listening.
