In general, our protected lands offer many great opportunities to explore the great outdoors, however, there are 18 locations managed by the National Park Service with the specific goal of preserving enhanced recreational opportunities. Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area is one such site, boasting countless options for recreation along the 72 miles of Bighorn Lake, covering land in both Montana and Wyoming. As the Interpretation and Education Division Lead, Christy Fleming has ample knowledge of the Canyon and its many features.
