Hi there. Welcome to the C-suite sidekick. I'm your host summer poletti. C-suite sidekick is a new podcast featuring superhero CEOs and their fractional leadership sidekicks. Our focus is B2B professional services. And I want to change the notion that B 2 C gets to have all the fun. Why can't we have some fun too? There are so many different paths to business ownership. Each is unique and fascinating, and we're going to highlight business owners and learn about their path to entrepreneurship. And we're also going to explore the strategies that they're using to grow their businesses. A common tactic being used these days is to leverage fractional leaders. So we're also going to highlight the fractional leaders that assist CEOs and owners to achieve and exceed their growth goals. In my background, I've got a little bit of everything. Customer service and operations, leadership, marketing, and sales, leadership, coaching and consulting. I also, co-founded a FinTech. And I'm currently a fractional revenue leader. My FinTech was investor backed and pre-revenue. We leveraged fractional leaders to help us build the platform and plan our go to market. We lacked the funds to hire full-time executives, but we still needed their expertise on the team. Pre-revenue we also lacked the workload to keep workers busy, full time. And leveraging fractional executives allowed us to work with talent we ordinarily couldn't fit into the budget. A fractional leader is generally an experienced executive. And working with them part-time is often less expensive than a full time entry level worker. In growth mode, you need experienced folks who can come in strategize and get results. Now that FinTech never got off the ground. angel investor and co-founders had a foundational differences. It happens. And then when that was done, rather than return to the corporate world, I decided to strike out on my own. Fractional work had been helpful to us and I could see the power that it held for other growing companies. I like the flexibility of fractional leadership for myself, frankly, I still have a child in school and, while she's still at home, I want to have fun with her. Quick story. On Friday, we took off early and we goofed off and went shopping and got some treats and I just did some of the client projects on the weekend. I also love what I can do for my clients. I can work on a number of different assignments simultaneously, which accelerates my learning. I did a project for a client recently and then. It gave me some insights and I was able to tweak the strategies that I was doing for a different client and we got him some results, a little faster. The rate at which fractional leaders learn helps them to stay abreast of new and emerging tactics that CEO's are using to win. And a lot of fractional leaders, not just myself, we dedicate time in our schedules for learning. So we spend time learning and then you can leverage those tactics. Rather than you having to spend the time learning yourself, you can focus just exclusively on growing your business. I love the accessibility that fractional leadership provides, whether the CEO has a bootstrapped company that's growing organically, or maybe they're in the middle of a generational change. Or they had an investor backed startup, fractional leaders can be leveraged to bring in top talent to tackle challenges, prepare for the next level of growth, and without the time and capital commitment commonly associated with hiring executive team members. The future is fractional and I am here to help spread the word. If you're a CEO, I want to talk to you. I want to explore your superhero origin story and learn about how you conquer your supervillains like revenue stagnation, talent acquisition. lead generation, innovation and protecting your culture as you grow. If you're a fractional leader, I want to talk to you too. I want to hear about the superpowers that you have and that you use to help CEOs slay their demons. Find this podcast. CEO sidekick.
