We understand that this episode could be triggering for some listeners as we tackle Gender Based Violence. 

Today’s discussion is not the light-hearted couch conversation we had in mind when we started our podcast, but it is a topic of incredible importance. We figure that if we have a platform to talk freely and to share our thoughts and suggestions pertaining to some of the harsh realities still prevalent in society today, we would be irresponsible not to do so.

In Australia, one woman is killed every nine days by a current or former partner, 39% of women over the age of 15 experience violence and more than 4000 women per year are hospitalised per year due to family and domestic violence. These are just a few statistics in an alarming database of Gender Based Violence and Discrimination in Australia.
