King Rehoboam, the son of King Solomon (The Wise) and the grandson of King David (The Warrior) is a character in the Bible that caught my attention. He is not a big figure in the Bible in terms of how much information we get about him, yet he is what divided the kingdom, starting the long series of events in which there were two kings- the North and the South. There were those who did good in the eyes of the Lord, and there were those who did wrong.
Almost every single one of us has asked for advice, at least once in our life. Who do you ask, or have been asking? Is it the Lord? When people ask you for advice, do you tell them to see first the Lord's answer? This story in the Bible highlights the arrogance of humans, and shows how we often choose evil when presented with good and evil right in front of us.
