Speaker 1:

Hello, beautiful people, and welcome back to Faith Focused Prayers, where we allow God to change and transform us into who he has called and created us to be. I hope you are all doing well. I have missed you. In today's episode we are going to be talking about overcoming what feels impossible. Overcoming what feels impossible.

Speaker 1:

A lot of times in our life you can feel like things are too hard. You have a promise, you have a future and a hope. God showed you a glimpse of what you're supposed to have. You know God called you to something big. You know he has called you to be somebody, to be successful, to have a business, to build something. And yet where you are now feels so far away. It feels almost impossible to reach the end goal. You don't see how he's going to do it. You don't see the way he's going to make. Now you feel like you're drowning and you're surrounded by impossible situations and you don't see the way out. But I'm here to tell you and to encourage you that god has already given you the power and the strength and the ability to overcome what feels impossible. I was going to say overcoming what is impossible, but it's not. Nothing is impossible with God. It just feels that way and in this season, it's necessary for you to learn how to push beyond your emotions. Push beyond what you're feeling, what you're seeing, what the natural is telling you and saying God, I don't know how it's gonna happen. God, I don't know how it's going to happen. God, I don't know where it's going to come from. God, I don't, I don't see the solution, but I trust you.

Speaker 1:

I want to read john 16 and 33. It says I have told you these things so that in me, you may have peace. This is in this world. You will have trouble, but take heart, I have overcome the world. I love that because Jesus is talking to his disciples and he's telling them um, what's to come? And he's saying but take heart, in this world you're gonna face trouble, you're gonna have tribulations, you're gonna going to have obstacles. It's going to be hard, but don't worry, I have overcome the world.

Speaker 1:

Jesus overcame the world. The whole world belongs to God and when you have a relationship with God, when you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, there's a security and a trust and a hope that you automatically are able to have, because Jesus overcame the world. He overcame it. He is the only God who died and rose with all power, with all authority, defeated death, went down to hell, has all the chains, has has all the keys. Everything belongs to God. Everything is now back in right standing where men, you know. Before we fell to sin, before we lost everything. Now we're right back in good standing with God. Now we have communication with God. Now we can go directly to the throne room of God and lay our heart down. We don't have to do animal sacrifices anymore. We don't have to go to a high priest. Jesus is the high priest, and so every time God looks at us, he sees the finished work of Jesus, he sees the blood covering us and speaking better things than what we speak. So you can trust and you can believe and you can hope and you can be secure that you don't have to do it on your own and nothing in this world has power and control and authority over you, because Jesus has given you all authority and he overcame the world. So you too can overcome your situation. You too can overcome the obstacle. You can speak to the mountain in your life and tell it to move.

Speaker 1:

There's this song I've been listening to. It's called Never Lost and it says who are you, great mountain, that you should not bow low. The mountains bow to Jesus. Death responds to the voice of Jesus. The dead they arise because of the voice of Jesus. So any situation in your life, speak to it and declare it to bow low under the authority of Jesus. Under the authority of Jesus, okay.

Speaker 1:

Any temptation you're having, any struggle, any addiction, any type of thing, whether it be drug, whether it be eating, lack of self-control, anger, a short temper, ego, pride, any type of situation, money management you submit that thing under the power and authority of Jesus. Luke 18 and 27 it says but he said all things which are impossible with men are possible with God. All things, everything that is impossible with man is possible with God. If God before you, who can stand against you? A lot of times it's us standing against ourselves, um, yeah, first, corinthians 10 and 13. It says no temptation has overtaken you, except such as such as is common to man. But God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you're able to overcome, and he will always provide a way of escape. Do not become a slave To something God has already given you power to overcome. Do not become a slave to poor money management when God has already given you the power to overcome. Do not become a slave to alcoholism when God has already given you the power to overcome. Although many times we don't feel the power, we don't see the power, you just have to know that God's word is true and he cannot lie. So if he said you will not be tempted beyond your ability to bear it, to endure it and to turn away from it, then it wouldn't be that, it wouldn't be the thing that you're being tempted with.

Speaker 1:

We are all called to be overcomers and to crucify our flesh and to endure hard situations so that it can produce perseverance and character and maturity and patience. One thing I like to tell myself and you should tell yourself, is I can do hard things. I can do hard things. You can do hard things. You are not weak, you are not a baby, you are not immature, you are not a kid. You can do hard things. You are fully capable and have all power and all control to do the hard things. What's impossible to you and what's hard to you is easy to God.

Speaker 1:

And the moment we realize that God is not asking us to do it alone, god is not asking us to do it in our own strength. God is not asking us to do it with no direction. God is not asking us to do it with no encouragement. God provides all those things for us as many times as we need, as many times as you wake up and say God, help me, god, lead me, god, guide me. God, help me to overcome, provide me with the way of escape. God, remove these desires. God, search my heart and if there's any wicked ways in me, god, remove them. Created me a clean heart. Renew my mind. Let me be transformed, let my mind be transformed. God will do all these things. The Bible says ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find. If my people would humble themselves, pray, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and his eyes and his heart will be upon us. This is all God's word and he, he loves his word, he is his word. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. The word is truth, it's all one, it's all wrapped together. Everything in God's Bible, everything in the Bible is true and God abides by his word.

Speaker 1:

So if you feel like you're in a situation and you don't see the way out. You don't see the escape. You don't know where to go. You don't know what move to take.

Speaker 1:

Open your Bible, go to your Bible app and type in the words that you're looking for. God will speak to you there. God will give you direction. There, get on your knees and pray. It doesn't have to sound pretty, it doesn't have to be eloquent, it doesn't have to. You don't have to do any of that. God hears and he responds to the hearts of his people. God will provide you a way to overcome. He has already declared you to be more than an overcomer, more than a conqueror, that you are victorious in him. And again, jesus did it. You know Jesus said we should do greater works than this, greater than the things he already did. And Jesus did it. You know Jesus said we should do greater works than this, greater than the things he already did, and Jesus did it. He overcame temptation with the word of God. When Jesus was being tempted by Satan, he then responded with the word so when things in your life is tempting, you respond with the word Respond. No, I will not do that because I am a living sacrifice.

Speaker 1:

I am wholly unacceptable. I am royalty. I am an heir to the throne. I am a co-heir with God. I am the head, I am not the tail. I am the lender, I'm not the borrower.

Speaker 1:

The Bible tells me ask and I shall receive. Seek and I shall find. All of these things will bring you peace and encouragement and it will help you. The Bible also says if any man lacks wisdom, ask and it shall be given unto him. We have no excuses. You are more capable than you think. You are stronger than you think. You are w capable than you think. You are stronger than you think. You are wiser than you think. You are better than you think, and God thinks so much highly of you than you think of yourself and than I can even think of you. God loves you. He loves you. The almighty God, the creator of the universe, looks down at you and says that's the good thing I made. That person right there that I made is fearfully and wonderfully made. That person right there is my son and my daughter. That person right there. I love them. I love them so much that I gave my son Jesus, I allowed him to die on the cross to bear their sins, so that I could have relationship with them.

Speaker 1:

We don't understand the measure of God's love and we take it for granted, when all he wants is communion with you. All he wants is communion with you. He just wants you to come to him, to run to him and to rest in him and to trust him. Trust his judgment, trust his word, trust that he knows what he's doing. If he can make the whole world, don't you think he can guide your life? Don't you think he knows the plans for your life? Don't you think you can trust and rest in the plans that he has for you? He says I have a, I have a plan for you. I know the thoughts that I have towards you, good and never evil, to give you a future and a hope to prosper you, to not do you any harm. God doesn't want bad things to happen to you. God doesn't want you to not know him. God doesn't want you to be in perfect peace. And that is what I want you to take from today that you can overcome what feels impossible. Nothing is impossible for you.

Speaker 1:

The thing that you thought you couldn't do, I'm telling you you can do. The person you thought you couldn't forgive, I'm telling you you can forgive the trauma you thought you can't let go of. I'm telling you you can let go of the areas of your life that you thought you couldn't heal. I'm telling you you can heal them. The addiction that you thought you can't, you can't resist. I'm telling you you can resist Pornography, sexual sin, what you're watching, what you're eating. You can overcome what you're doing with your money, the things that you're giving your time to, the people that you're giving your time to. I'm telling you you can overcome.

Speaker 1:

But you do not overcome evil with evil, but you overcome evil with good. The evil thing in your life, the way that the enemy is trying to tempt you, the way that your flesh is rising up against you every time you try to do the right thing. You don't overcome evil with evil. You overcome evil with good. Eventually the devil flee. It says resist the devil and he will flee eventually. When you don't give in to what he's presenting you, when you don't sell your soul, when you don't give in to the thing that he's offering you and you say no, no, I don't want that. I want what God has for me. I rebuke. You say and get thee behind me. No, I will not give in, I will not be tempted, I will not fall when you constantly tell the devil no, eventually he will flee, because now he has to go and try to find another way to come and torture you and get you to go against God. Okay, and right then. And there you overcame that.

Speaker 1:

So be encouraged, people, be encouraged. You are not doing this alone. There are people who understand your situation. There's nothing new under the sun, and the same thing that you're going through someone has gone through. And, better than all of that, jesus has overcame. Jesus has overcome the world. Everything belongs to God. Everything submits under him. The enemy submits under God, demons tremble at his name and God has you in the palm of his hands. So let's just pray.

Speaker 1:

Lord, we thank you. We thank you that you have made us more than overcomers. We thank you that our safety is in you, our security is in you, our hope and our future is in you. Father, we trust you, god. We trust what you're doing in our life. We trust the obstacles that are before us. We trust, god, that in the end it will all work out for your glory, god. We trust that you will not put things in our life that we cannot bear. We trust God that if it's here. If the hard thing is in front of us, it's because you have given us the tools and the resources and the Holy Spirit within us to overcome it, and in the end, we will produce patience, we will produce maturity, we will have strength and we will have wisdom from every obstacle and situation in our life.

Speaker 1:

God, we thank you that you give us a way of escape in the midst of our temptation. We thank you, god, that you provide us with a plan to turn, god, that we do not have to give in to the flesh, we do not have to give in to the enemy, god, but that you have decreed and declared that we are more than overcomers, more than conquerors, that we are victorious in you, father. And so we call on you today. Abba, father, our healer, our provider, our protector, our Father, the good Father, who can only be righteous, who can only be holy, who can only be good. God, we trust you, we trust your plan, and we ask that you would just order our steps, that you would be with us, god, that you would be close with us, you would be near, father, that we could feel you, god. We can feel you holding our hands and walking us through this thing that is called life.

Speaker 1:

Father, we thank you that you have already overcame everything in the world. Everything belongs and bows down to you, lord, and so we thank you that we are safe under the shadow of the almighty, that you give your angels charge over us to keep us, to cover us, protect us, father, to bear us up in your arms. God, that we will not dash our foot against a stone. God, we will not be hurt. No plague can come near our dwelling.

Speaker 1:

Father, I plead the blood of jesus over the person listening to this right now. Father, over their mind, over their health, over their life. God, over their choices, over their decisions. Lord, I ask that the holy spirit would lead and guide them, father, that you would order their steps daily. Order their steps daily, father. Write your word on their heart, god, every time they're in the midst of a tough situation.

Speaker 1:

Father, holy Spirit, bring your word back to their remembrance. Bring the word back to their remembrance that they remember the Lord has provided me with a way of escape, that I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. You can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. You can do all things through Christ, who gives you strength, father. We thank you that your word is alive and it is true, that it cannot return to you void, that you are a God who cannot lie, you will not lie, and that all your plans for us, they end in it working out for our good Lord. We thank you that you love us. You love us so much that you cover us, you protect us, you keep us, you woke us up this morning, you kept us safe and sound, and that you forgive us.

Speaker 1:

Daily you treat us as we do not deserve, father, not because we're worthy, but because you are worthy, not because we're holy, but because you're holy, god. And we thank you, father, that you don't expect us to be perfect, but you expect us to try. You don't expect us to have it all together, but you expect us to lean, not to our own understanding, that you don't expect us, father, to make every right decision and to do everything right, but you expect us to run into your arms and to cast all our cares upon you, to be real and authentic with you, god. So, right now, we lay everything down. We lay our problems down, we lay our cares down, our anxieties down, our, our fears down, the things that we're struggling with God. We reveal them to you and we say help us, lord, help me to do better, help me to be better, help me to know better.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for your grace and your mercy. Grace and your mercy In Jesus' mighty name, I pray this prayer Amen. All right, guys, that's all I have for today. Always remember that I love you and God loves you. God sees you, god hears you, god knows you. He has amazing plans for your life. Your future is bright. You are a light in this world of darkness and you were not put in this earth to be hidden. You were put on this earth to shine, and to shine bright. Make sure you share this with somebody who needs it and be encouraged. You are all beautiful people and you are stronger than you think. Bye.
