Fit For Myself - Judge Audrey Moorehead
Jul 12, 2024 Episode 8
Shereen El Domeiri & Nicola Hobeiche

Behind the scenes with The Honorable Judge Audrey Moorehead was even better than we imagined. A true coffee lover - her affection for a particular coffee brand is legendary & her daily brew is consumed in the interest of public safety.

While it was clear even from a young age that her destiny was to be a lawyer, she resisted several times along the way believing it would take too long and cost too much. Her career in the business world exposed her to the jet setter lifestyle with money, fancy cars and platinum credit cards. But as luck would have it, life had a different plan for her. Never shying away from a challenge, she was determined to prove two fools wrong who told her she would never get into law school, to which she responded “excuse me, I can do hard things.” It was the feather that tipped the scale for making her realize she knew she needed to be fit for herself.

She quit her job, conquered law school, and forged her path to the law and ultimately to the judiciary.  Her cup is filled daily through her service on the bench presiding over Dallas County Criminal Court #3, where she is able to positively impact many lives and by giving back to the legal community as a mentor and leader.

Judge Moorehead’s not so secret method to keeping decorum and progress in her courtroom? … A magical candle that serves as inspiration, relief when needed, and a signal to those attorneys who find themselves drifting off course or enveloped in the heat of the moment.

Judge Moorehead is like no other - a true gem shining with the brilliance of a rare diamond.

We invite you to grab your favorite multi-hyphenated brew and enjoy this dynamic conversation.
