Learning from Legends

Mastering the Game – On the soccer pitch with Dr. Felix Brych

TUM Campus Heilbronn gGmbH Season 1 Episode 2

Welcome to the second episode of "Learning from Legends," the new podcast brought to you by The TUM Campus Heilbronn gGmbH.

We hope that you have already had the opportunity to listen to the first edition with the astronaut-to-be Suzanna Randall, who took us on a journey to the stars. In this new episode, we will stay more down to earth, but only physically. Because today’s scene is the soccer pitch. And our guest is one of the world’s best soccer referees of all time – Dr. Felix Brych.

With 344 matches in the German Bundesliga, 69 matches in the Champions League and numerous other games in the Euro League and FIFA World Championships, UEFA European Championships and many others, Felix knows unlike anyone else what it means to take decisions within a fraction of a second and what this has to do with leadership. A lot of parallels between the two will be unveiled during the conversation between Felix and our two student hosts, Mikhail Aizinov from Russia and Tnmay Gupta from India.

And now please join Mikahil and Tnmay for an inspiring session, where Felix Brych will share his secret of success in taking decisions in high-pressure environments and how he deals with setbacks and obstacles along the way.
